Gaijin seemed different now, as if he had figured out he'd gotten drunk and was trying to muscle through it. He pushed the sheets aside and sat upright and swung his legs over the edge. "No... I have... I have to get going..." He swallowed hard, steeling himself as he slowly and deliberately moved to stand. One on his feet he looked off into the distance as if seeing something otherworldly. "Can I ask you something.... strange?"
He was mulling something over in his mind, he did so so he wouldn't forget to ask when he got an answer. Being an American had left a dark mark on his heart and he needed to know if that dark mark followed him here. Thinking about it seemed to make him feel sick to the stomach... or maybe it's the sake...

Ryu bit his lip, worrying over how the kid seemed to want to get up and go now...but obviously wasn't able to do so on his own. "Sure...ask me anything..." he answered the boy's question, moving around to the other side of the bed in case the young musician tried to stand and he had to catch him or anything. If Benjamin insisted on going back to his own room, then Ryuukaze would see him there personally...but it did make him nervous, the kid being alone in such a state. ~( I’m here )~ Soba ni iru wa~

Gaijin swallowed hard again and was silent for a long time. His face was serious and stoic, but his eyes... they looked afraid. "In America... when two guys are together... a lot of people feel it is immoral.... wrong.... even evil..." He swallowed again as the knot in his gut grew. "Is it the same way here? Is it seen as a bad thing to be gay?"
The pit of his stomach felt like a cannonball and he knew now that it had nothing to do with the sake. He could hear the guys response in his head. 'Oh god! That's disgusting! How can you even ask?' The words played over and over and over in his head until Ryu finally spoke.

Perhaps he should have felt awkward in the moment...but, for some odd reason, this strange feeling came over him...and he felt oddly protective of the drunken boy sitting in front of him, like he had to look out for him, like he understood him completely and just had to help, even in such an intimate matter. Obviously, the bassist was into men...but he had been made afraid of that somehow, from the sound of things. "Gaijin....Benjamin....are you really worried about such things? I mean, of course there are people who view it as a bad thing., but attraction, love, things like that...it doesn't matter what someone else thinks. It isn't wrong or evil, I can promise you that. Most certainly. Hell...I'm gay, and I know lots of people who are too! It's not all that uncommon here. I don't know for sure about how things are in America...but you don't have anything to worry about if that's how you feel." he explained, sitting down on the bed beside the boy and putting a hand on his knee. "Really, it's ok. If...if someone made you feel bad about it, if that's what your question was about...well, don't feel bad. You are who you are, and you're a better person for being that way instead of hiding your true self." How he managed to just open up like that was beyond him. It made him feel...kinda like someone's father, but cooler. Way cooler. What he said was said to comfort, though. This young man was here, trying to shoot for the stars, looking for a beginning to his path in life. If he needed advice, Ryuukaze was happy to give it. He had been a struggling, confused youth at one point himself. He couldn't help but take a liking to someone so...so much like himself, in ways. ~( I’m here )~ Soba ni iru wa~

Gaijin sniffled softly as that stoic expression vanished and tears began to pout down his cheek. it felt like the world had been lifted off his shoulders for the first time in his life. "I... I've been attracted to guys.... for as long as I can remember... but I was too scared to ever say it... Always afraid of going to those places meant to 'fix' gays... My family deals in business and politics... They wouldn't think twice about secreting me off to a place like that..." He lay back onto the bed and wiped his eyes.
He sighed softly as he stared at the ceiling. He no longer had to worry about appearing to be something he wasn't. He stretched out his arms across the bed. "Thank you... I'm sorry for being so weird..." He said. "Is there anything I can do to repay?" he remembered the violinist saying the was gay, blushing at the thought of 'that' kind of repayment. "A-anything ?"

Seeing the kid's tears brought the violinist to tears of his own. Tonight's accidental meeting seemed to have some purpose after all. "Nobody is going to send you off here, Benjamin...." Ryu whispered, lying down on the bed, turned to face the bassist where he lay. The very idea of being sent somewhere cold and frightening just for...just for existing...seemed utterly appalling to the violinist. People who would do such things...they were the sick ones. "You're not weird, Gaijin. You're perfectly normal, and don't you ever let anyone tell you otherwise. I don't need any sort of repayment. All I want you to do, is try your best, and be yourself, mkay?" he reached forward and tucked a lock of pink hair behind a red-tinged ear. From what Ryuukaze had seen, this boy was a good kid...he just needed to find his own two feet, and have a little help on the way. ~( I’m here )~ Soba ni iru wa~

Gaijin doubted his blush would show through his reddened skin as the guy laying next to him pushed his hair into place, but he felt it all the same and it made him squirm slightly. "T-t-t-thank you... I'll do my best..." He covered his mouth as a yawn escaped his lips. He had not realized he was so tired until now. "I... should go back to my room... I don't want your boyfriend walking in and seeing me... it could cause a misunderstanding..." He said as he sat up yet again trying to get out before he caused any more problems. "You've been so kind to me... I'd never forgive myself if I caused you any grief..."

Gaijin had spilled his guts, he may as well show his hand of cards as well. Seemed they knew each other pretty well now. Gaijin scratched the back of his head, it meant he was worrying about other people. "I... I... I wish I could help you... but I've never... 'dated' anyone..." He wondered if Ryu would connect the dots and figure out he was also a virgin. It was then that the violinist's final words struck him. 'You're a good kid.'
A kid... that's all he sees me as.
His face puffed up as he began to pout. Fine then, I'll act like a kid. He thought as he began to pull off his clothes until he was clad in nothing but a pair of pink boxer-briefs. Once stripped he grabbed a pillow and curled up with it cradled in his arms and legs. "Oyasuminasai!" He said before burying his face into the pillow.

Seeing Gaijin suddenly go into full pout, pull off his clothes, and bury his face in the pillow like that....was strange. He had never quite seen behavior like that...but...but it was still absolutely adorable! What was his issue now? Was...was he flirting with him? Or...trying to, at least? It was hard for him to say, but the young man was certainly behaving in an interesting fashion. "Mmm...well, oyasumi nasai, Gai-kun." he snickered, turning out the light and curling up, arm around the younger man with his clothes still on. Gaijin moved, wriggled and squirmed until he was out of Ryu's reach, nearly about to fall off the bed. "I don't want you to touch me if you don't mean it... so... just... leave me alone, ne?" He grumbled at the other guy, still hugging the pillow tightly. 'Kid, kid, kid, kid, kid, your a kid, a kid, nothing but a kid'. He tried to shut it off, to stop thinking about it, but it pissed him off so much.
So he just lay there, still as he could be, waiting for Ryu to fall asleep. He couldn't stand this guy after what he had said. His mind wandered across the room to his fender precision, wondering if he could have made his feelings clear if he had held the instrument in his hands as he talked to the guy. He wore his heart on the strings of that guitar and it would have painted a picture of how he felt. His fingers itched, but he ignored them.

"Don't mean it? What do you mean, 'if I don't mean it'?" Ryu asked, obviously not understanding. The boy lay there, on the very edge of the bed, unmoving. It was painfully apparent that he was both drunk and upset at this point....but what had he done to upset him. "Gai-kun....seriously....what's up? What did I do?" Ryu asked, brows furrowed. The young man was so up and down with things...it was hard for the violinist to keep up. "If you have something to say, if you need something, then just spit it out. Don't play games with me, ok? Gaijin cringed as the fingers of the violinist's played across his back. the feel was so nice, but drove him out of his mind. "Stop!... If I'm just a kid to you then stop teasing me like this... it isn't fair.... Don't call me a child and the get all.... intimate with your hands..." He tried to think from ryu's side of things but his mind was clouded with his repressed emotions.
His fingers itched so badly. Just go and get it, he is a musician too so he'll understand it. Go.... Play... He stayed there, vowing that if the guy still didn't understand him he would take up his guitar and speak through it.

It felt like he was going to explode from the inside if he didn't say it. He pushed it and pushed it, staying silent for almost five minutes before he was able to speak. "YES!!! Okay...? I said it.... " He blurted it out like a nervous schoolgirl. He gripped the pillow tighter, wondering how the guy would respond to this He has a boyfriend... He wont go for me... why am I feeling this way? i barely know him...
He sat up and went to his guitar and brought it back to the bed. He cradled it in his lap for a moment and began to play. It was fast, sad, angry, confused... The emotions poured forth from his heart through his fingers and into the guitar. The tune spoke of a connection that was growing, but felt only one way. "So... I said it.... what now?"
