Ari looked around to Musica. She felt calm well up inside her. "I tried, Musica..." she said softly. "I really screwed up. I'm sorry." Ari struggled against the whip, and against Nikolaus.

He continued to laugh. "Me? Be Killed? You've got to be kidding, my body won't ever let anyone kill the body of his son. Whether or not the soul within is still alive. Hell, like I'd need you anymore, your nothing more than a pretty little thing my body was suckered into loving. Temporarily." He grinned evilly as he turned his head to look at Musica who had appeared. "He's not your son anymore Musica, he's me." Then he leaned his head down to whisper in Ari's ear so Musica could not hear. "You hear that? He cares nothing for you, only his son. To think you really thought he gave a ******** about you. I could almost pity you." He pressed his nose and mouth down on her neck before quickly moving away. Her scent was lovely to him, unlike his body who no longer felt anything. That was the thing, it was Nikolaus who always desired Ari. Musica was just a puppet, nothing more.

"You... you're only... you..." Ari whispered, but he had a point. She felt like an idiot. Evermore had been right. She looked to Musica, her eyes confused. When she looked back to Nikolaus, they were filled with a steely hate. "Sometimes, people have to believe in things that may not be true. They take a chance. Musica may not love me, but I love him. So suck on that, you b*****d!" she hissed, struggling against the whip. It almost felt like she was struggling against fate. She loved a guy who might not love her back, and she was going to die by the man that had caused it. Irony anyone?

Musica was beginning to walk over to them when he saw Nikolaus tighten the whip from the action. Musica was on the verge of begging him. "Nikolaus, don't involve her. This is between you and me, and unfortunately Tyler now. Please just let her go!" Musica was trying to avoid the inevitable fate that Ari would die because of him, and soon. Then he heard the words of her loving him and that actually brought tears to his eyes. He hadn't felt true love since his mother and Gabriel were alive, and since then he went on living life without it. To hear those words was almost over whelming.

Ari gasped in pain as Nikolaus tightened the whip. Someone you'd die for... she'd been asked that question. It had been a game when she was in grade school. 'Would you die for...?' rang in her mind now, and she laughed out loud. She'd never had anyone she'd be willing to die for besides Nessa and her mom. Now? She'd die for him. For real. This wasn't a game, and not a joke. She almost laughed again, but the whip tightened again. "Musica," she gasped, "Just... just go."

Nikolaus continued to laugh, his hold on the whip firm unrelenting. "The Hell he will, this is too much fun! Don't listen to the girl, stay and see what you can do. It'll be futile but at least you won't be dooming her on purpose." He smiled as his dark blue aura was pouring from the body and all around him. Whisps of it were licking and caressing at the flesh of Ari, and even going so far as to grasp at the body they wished to be in once more.
Musica remained standing there calmly. All he wanted to do was run now, run far far away and never look back. "You know I can't do that Ari, I won't let you sacrifice yourself for me." Musica's own aura poured from his body, much lighter in shade than Nikolaus's. It was crawling out as Musica's eyes turned bright and his pupils disappeared.

”You want to run…” Ari grunted, struggling again, ”So run!” All the time she’d been struggling, she’d slowly been turning one hand around. Now, her left hand was angled in such a way that it could hit Nikolaus. Her heart was in so much pain, now, both over Musica and Nikolaus. Mostly Muscia. Taking a deep breath, she charged up, and blasted the equivalent of a supersonic boom at Nikolaus.

He smirked. Light traveled faster than sound, way faster. Seeing it before it happened he teleported around to her front, Ari still bound in the whip. As the sound blasted behind her he was in front and ready to grab her once more. His back was exposed, or so it seemed.
Musica saw what he thought was a chance and started running to lunge at Nikolaus. As he was in mid air Nikolaus disappeared again, reappearing quickly to the side of Musica. For a brief flash he saw Ari, then he was kicked in the head with a magic induced strike. He hit the ground hard, he could feel the aching head ache begin within his head. It was probably fractured and would take a couple days to heal on him. Unable to get up he remained laying there, awake but in agonizing pain.
Walking back over to Ari he picked her up once more, manifesting another whip to wrap around her again. This time he held more tightly. Picking her up bridal style he then walked over to his body and began digging his heel onto his back. Musica could only manage a pained groan as Nikolaus laughed.

Ares didn't make any movements or sounds when Evermore appeared. It seemed almost as if he were dead--but that, of course, wasn't true. He had simply closed himself off for a while. He was trying to sort things out. The things he felt for Evermore, those age-old feelings that had developed once for Aphrodite... Did any still linger? He wasn't sure.
He was dead to the world, but that didn't mean that no words would reach his ears. They just... wouldn't garner a response. Not in all likelihood, anyway.

Unlike his mistress, who seemed deaf to the world around her (so unusual for the woman), Etzel had heard the explosion that had been caused in one of the dorms and gone to investigate. None of the girls at the school were particularly bothered by the four foot tall Great Dane, as most were very used to him wandering around every now and again. A few even greeted him, and one gave him a piece of meat! He loved this school very much.
Following his nose, he reached the door behind which the explosion had occured, and he lifted a paw to scratch on it. He could use magic to open it... but that would be rude. He didn't have permission yet.

{{No, I'm not letting it go b/c it's a complete double standard and I HATE it in the real world. But... good point. Ari isn't in her right mind. But if I have Ever point out that it's a double standard, everyone's going to pissed at her AGAIN! When really, Ever will be right for once.}}
Ever sighed and walked a little closer to Ares. "You don't have to say anything. I hope you do after I am done talking, but if you don't... well, that's your right."
She sighed again, squared her shoulders, and just spoke what she was feeling.
"I came off wrong tonight, Ares. I never really thought about how I might not be showing you that I do want to be with you. For so long, I didn't want to be in a relationship because I'm so young. So, I didn't openly pursue you. I just let you do all the work. I know that was wrong now. I never thought that it might make you think that I don't want you."
She carefully sat on the bed next to him and she lightly placed one of her hands on Ares' arm, the one that was closest to her.
"I do want to be with you, Ares. I want you more than I've ever wanting anything before. When I suggested we take some time to cool off, I just thought it would be better for YOU if we did that since I am immature right now and I react more than I think. I am really trying hard to work on that, but I didn't think you should have to be put through all of that while I work on it."
"But if you don't mind being with me while I work on it, then I want to be with you. I care for you very deeply. Do you want me to describe how much I care for you? Because I will."
She held out one of her chocolate flowers to him with a small, hopeful smile on her face.

Love tilted her head, tuning out Doom yelling at her and distracting her while she had been moving the chemicals. The vacuum caused by the explosion had shut the door that had formally been opened so the twins could toss stuff out, but now that the room had almost been completely remodeled by the pair, and now that she didn't have anything to occupy her attention, she started scratching at her uniform again, her claws slipping out and ripping at the fabric a little. She didn't like clothes....
Doom sighed as she saw her sister was a million miles away. She rolled her eyes and glanced at the bed, which was about dead center in the middle of the room. They'd fused the two beds together since they had to sleep close together. One half of the bedding was a bright pink, the other was black. One side had a stuffed bunny with an eye missing and full of bite marks. The other had a stuffed octopus with an eye patch. I'll leave you to guess whose is whose.
Love was suddenly snapped awake by the sound of someone scratching at the door. She quickly bounded over while her twin went over to the counter and put the vials in the chemical fridge. She quickly opened it, looking up expectantly before looking down. A dog? "Puppy?" she said confused, tilting her head with her large eyes looking at it cutely. She wondered if she could eat it without getting yelled at... probably not....
