It is, isn't it? -not a conversation starter-
My mother cooked up a large pot of beef noodles, but I don't think it was necessary since my siblings are at the bbq party for my sister's boyfriend's niece's baptism. They'd be full by the time they get back home. Why I'm not attending is because my right foot's aching for some reason (and I'm not invited anyway, lol). I might have slept on my foot at an odd angle last night, and I've no idea how the heck I end up doing that. My right eye still have some stuff going on with it (as if something's in the eyelid, but won't come out), so it's too dry for me to concentrate and draw any art right now. :/

... ...Eh baptisms. Been there, done that. Not that great. Unless you're talking Catholic baptisms, but I think the Catholics just like being flashy.
...And you mean an SDPlus doll, Tisha? XD I think its been around for a while.

The only time I went to baptism is for one of my youngest brother's baptism. I don't remember it (Catholic or Christian, they're the same to me, bad Yen!) being flashy either. Watching a video of my second youngest brother's, it was in a dim room during very short Sunday church. Mind's fuzzy on the details.
It's now your fault for making me stuff on all of Hidden Ace EI's related SDplus dolls and items. D':
Is there really a real life plush of Fayren? That's interesting. You'd think that Lanzer would be the first to get one... :0

Hm.. I'm a Christian but I don't know if I've had my baptism or not... Though, I'm still searching, so I suppose not having one [for sure] is a good thing..?

Christian, baptized, was tiny. Don't remember it. Now lets get off religion discussions before a fight starts up because it usually ALWAYS DOES with insulting anothers beliefs. The plush is the sp plush, not a real life plush. XD '_' that gives me an idea....

I would say religion is something "nice to have" in life. It's not a necessary for survival. Sunday school is what brought my family/relatives together, and if it weren't for that, they could've been priding in themselves on who are more successful (both in themselves and their kids) which is really annoying. I pray to God as a way to give me that extra bit of courage/confidence in hard times, and that's about it. Sunday church, fasting, cleaning ones sins, etc? How bothersome. xD
-edits- My bad, didn't see the post above me. D:

Haha.. It's only if you can't take another's words that fights come up. Discussions are always pleasant though if everyone's cordial. Best ended before a shouting, mud-slinging battle, of course.
They're all rituals. [[Kill me for using a 'pagan' term. rolleyes ]] Fasting, baptism, and such. Symbolism plays a heavy role to humans. If you were to look in history, there are many motifs throughout time. Water and blood to name a few.
And, you may disagree with me, but I believe that any form of hope is some form of religion, whether it is faith of oneself, reverence of the world, worship of a deity or more. Again, disagree with me if you want. Being Asian and Christian leads me to an odd path between Western and Eastern ideals.

Tisha: Don't worry if something goes wrong. There are people who finds insults in oddest of places, but I will give my respect whenever necessary. I'll back out asap when I sense a heated debate coming in. I don't like trouble as much as Ace doesn't like his. xD
Card: I do find hope and faith to be the same thing, them just being different words. I also agree that cultures were heavily influenced in ones religion back in the day, and they probably still are right now. You could believe in Buddha, Hinduism, Christianity, etc, and they have this "God" viewed in the same status. Who's to say that all of these people are actually just one person, and you gave him/her/it a name that was limited to your native tongue to begin with? o_O;
Oh, what idea do you have in mind about the plush? :0

Hey, religion is a fun thing to talk about! D: Even if it does lead to heated debates.
But I don't think anyone here is too hardcore in their beliefs that they'll let a little joking around get to them. Most of the time I see these with people who will openly mock one faith but then get defensive when you poke at theirs. I poke fun at all of them equally! :'D (And don't get me wrong, I'm not even an atheist. XD I believe in a bit of everything.)

Hurr.. The internet is especially worse because sometimes compliments can be taken as insults.Quote: You could believe in Buddha, Hinduism, Christianity, etc, and they have this "God" viewed in the same status. Could you rephrase this? It's a bit confusing. You mention "you", and then move to "they". Quote: [...] and you gave him/her/it a name that was limited to your native tongue to begin with? o_O; What's with the face at the end? XD I don't think it was limited to tongues. It's amazing that we can come up with names for our, as in the Earth's inhabitants, gods. A personified, a 'tangible', a visible symbol is far more effective than a concept, an idea, a blur. I was having a deep [and weird] philosophical conversation with my friend, which we always end up doing as we head towards the buses, but I believe with you with the single deity. [[Not 'God' in the sense of monotheism.]] A gem such as diamond has an inner shine. The stone must be cut for normal people to see the shine, thus edges and planes are created. But a person standing at one angle may see a different shine than someone else. The light may reflect differently. The gem could have been cut differently on one side than the other. But it is all still the same shine we see.
And doesn't everyone believe in a bit of everything? Whenever people say they believe in karma, I act snarky and ask if they're Hindu. Buddhism and Taoism are large parts in Asian culture, though with the rising countries like China, Japan, and Korea, the old ways are fading similarly to Christianity in America. [[Can't say for Europe.]]
[[God.. I switch from analytical to philosophical too much.]]
