Pad Chief That's a rather romantic view of it. Where I live though all the trees are still green. They are most of the year round anyway. Temperate slightly boring climates do that to you really. When you have never been to other places, such as out of countries, like me, romanticism views of other places and things may be the closest way of getting there. Or at least, that's the stereotypical view of autumn?
Evergreen trees?

Evergreen trees? Well it is true to a degree. I don't think our trees are Evergreens but none of the ones I can see from my window are brown yet. It's only September though. The leaves will fall out soon enough.

Fall can be quite the romantic time Pad Cheif. It is winter in all its murderous beauty that I find so dear. The death of the beauty of summer and spring only to foster a crisp and cold reminder of the cycle.
Sorry, to much Robert Frost analysis for my poetry class.

I've always been curious of an autumn-scape... I only get dry and wet seasons on my place so it's kinda boring. Does it rain often during autumn?
@ Karite: Personally, I love spring. There's just something nice about stories of beginning like those of spring and dawn.

@ Karite: Personally, I love spring. There's just something nice about stories of beginning like those of spring and dawn. I have the fortune (misfortune?) of living in a place with wide temperature swings and all four seasons, New England to be vaguely specific.
Autumn is quite nice, especially once you get out of the city/suburbs. There's this one particular road on the highway that goes down a gently curving hill that gives a panorama of a forest of maple trees. Seeing them all at once in varying shades of orange and red is great.
I can pretty much sum up things up a follows
Fall - Green going to vibrant orange. Apple-picking season, quite popular. Fade to brown. Raking leaves
Winter - Bleak, grey and greyish-brown with evergreen trees sprinkled around. At least, until it snows. Then everything gets covered in a blanket of white. Then pollution picks up and the snow gets patches of black, brown, and yellow. It barely snowed last Winter though, only once and not even a centimeter. So it was cold and dull.
Spring - Sunny, cloudy blue skies. Everything's in shades of color (white, pink, red stand out). But I have allergies so I hate Spring anyways. Also it rains a lot towards April.
Summer - Blue, cloudless skies. Everything's settled into a nice and green foliage. But it's really hot and humid.

I'm sort of envying you now, regarding your situation of experiencing four seasons. I've always dreamed of witnessing fall, winter, and spring in other countries... it just seems so magical with all the pictures and everything I've read about them. I'm intrigued with snow, but winter does not appeal me much as the other two.

Winter's wishy-washy.
I guess it's something with perspective, I'd enjoy tropical weather for the consistency and the, you know, tropical-ness. I guess traveling's the way to go.
I wouldn't recommend the UK, I've been there once and all it did was rain. Also I hear unsavory figures and criminals originate from there and try to establish dictatorships around the world[-wide web].

I've had my share of rain... with only two seasons in my place, I get something like ridiculously hot or always rainy (the closest to cold climate).
Unsavory figures and criminals? gonk

The only reason you should buy one is if you bought one in the past and you still need the same filetypes for work. Otherwise stick with Windows 7 or some sort of Linux. There's really no reason to use a Mac unless it's for work reasons. Seriously good ones. I hope it's for work reasons.

Plus I have had one since 7th grade and every mac my family has owned has lasted us at least 5 years so I am just hesitant to switch when I haven't been lead astray yet by it.

Oh wow, so that's why my brother didn't even recommend a mac when I was having trouble looking for a computer. Strange. And I hear it's quite expensive? Or is the other way around?

I'd say they're pretty pricy. but they last forever and are great for work. Just piss poor as far as gaming goes. Though I have an xbox so that satisfies the gaming making my mac a good fit. Though if your a big computer gamer than mac isn't really the way to go.
