Kai didn't move, just let Hakaru hold her and wipe her tears. She looked up at him, confused. "I...I don't know... I guess... I'm tired..." she said, her eyes feeling heavy from crying and from lack of sleep.
Yuke's vision changed in his dream. Everything seemed to be in hues of green and blue. Then he realized he was in the water. He'd only been a few times with his mother and daughter, learning how to swim with his tail, he'd recognized it anywhere. He saw seaweed and fish... And blood. There were screams, his vision jarred, and suddenly he bolted up in bed, looking around the dark bedroom as if he had no idea where he was.
Razz rolled his eyes and poked her forehead, then kissed it. "Seeya then," he promised, climbing back to the balcony and heading into the hallway to his room.
Chloe smiled and rubbed her forehead. "Thanks, but it's not really a long walk to my own room," she offered, though she'd much rather stay with Lute. A strange feeling was bugging her, and she didn't like it.

Hakaru held her close, moving her onto his lap so she could rest in his arms. "Here. Try to get some rest, love."
Natalia jumped as well, feeling Yuke bolt awake. "Yuke? Yuke, what's wrong?"
Yumi rubbed her forehead, but smiled as he left. She then went to bed, a very happy princess.
Lute stopped her, growing worried. Something didn't feel right around her. "Please. I insist. Something doesn't feel right, Chloe. I want to make sure you're ok."

Kai nodded, resting her head against Hakaru's shoulder and curling up against him. She felt like a helpless child, something she didn't like feeling. As her eyes closed and she fell asleep far too easily, she thought she was having a better dream. She was floating along in her familiar ocean, and a familiar merman came swimming past, challenging her for a race. She followed him, then they came through a field of blood-filled water. Everything started moving too quickly, and Kai felt tangled, as though a net or something had caught her and was hauling her away. She couldn't wake up this time, though, and she whimpered in her sleep.
Yuke rubbed his forehead and nodded. "Bad dream. Go back to sleep, love. I'm just gonna get a glass of water," he said, sliding out of bed.
Chloe frowned a little, tilting her head. "I'm fine, Lute."

Lute was worried but complied and released her. "Alright. But my door is always open." he said, going into his room. He had just wanted to protect her. But she probably thought he was odd now. Well... Odder.
Hakaru relaxed as Kai fell asleep, but he worried once more when she started whimpering. He gently shook her some. "Kai. Kai wake up. You're having a bad dream again."
Natalia watched as Yuke slipped from his place beside her. She laid her head back down and went back to sleep, hoping he'd be alright.

Chloe wrapped her arms around herself as she went to her room. She was rather tired. She barely even bothered to change before she collapsed into bed. She found the dream weird, but she went with it, watching as a school of fish nearly tackled her trying to run away from something.
Kai was still trapped, and she found there were fish, a dolphin, and a few other mermaids trapped with her. They were yanked up onto a ship's deck, and they all flapped around. She and the other mermaids were trying to get off the ship, waiting for the moment the men gathered around realized they'd caught something other than fish. But the men just scooped the dolphin and the fish they'd caught off the ship, dragging the mermaids still caught in the net to the center. It was then that Kai looked over the edge and saw a dead merman float by in the sea. She jerked away with a scream, burying her face in Hakaru's chest as she cried.
Yuke was filling up his glass in the bathroom when he suddenly felt the need to sit down. He held his head, his hand shaking as he tried to hold the glass. It finally slipped from his grip and crashed on the floor. One piece cut his toe, and a small bead of blood appeared on his skin. As he saw it, he closed his eyes tightly, seeing instead of his bathroom, an ocean where mermen were fighting against men in longboats. There were spears on the mermen side, however the humans had muskets of some form and kept shooting their heavy bullets into the heads and chests of the mermen floating around. Yuke himself was spearless, and therefore defenseless. He turned and began to swim away and down as fast as possible, but with no luck as a bullet grazed his tail.

Hakaru jumped when Kai screamed. He held her close as she began to cry, trying to calm her. He stroked her hair softly, nuzzling her cheek. "It was just a dream. It's alright. Just a dream."
Natalia heard the glass break and was up in a flash. She ran to the bathroom and gasped, she rolled up the mat on the floor, getting rid of most of the glass. She then went to Yuke, putting her hands on his face. "Yuke? Yuke! Please look at me!"
Lute sighed and sat on his bed, worried for the girl he loved, hoping she'd be alright.

Kai shook her head once, then again when she couldn't find words. Finally, she swallowed down a lump in her throat and pulled away from Hakaru, looking him in the eye. "It wasn't a dream. It's real."
Yuke shook himself away, looking up at Natalia, his eyes wide. He looked at his shoulder, seeing a graze mark that had turned bright red. He touched it and winced, an image of a bullet going by in his mind.
Chloe was tossing and turning now, her dream disturbing her, and she finally fell to her floor with a thump that woke her up. She hugged the cover around her, leaning against the side of her bed with her eyes wide open, not wanting to go back to sleep.

Hakaru watched as his wife pulled away from him. He gently reached out and stroked her hair worriedly. "Real? I don't know what you mean."
Natalia looked to his shoulder, seeing the mark. She gently placed a hand on it, looking to her husband. "Yuke. Please calm down. I'm here. It's going to be alright."
Lute was unable to sleep. He had changed into some pajamas, but he was too worried about Chloe to even think about sleeping. So he favored pacing his room instead.

Kai shuddered and looked down at their bed, trying to get the images out of her mind. "Humans....They're..."
Yuke ran his fingers through his hair, barely hearing Natalia over the echos of screams that were still in his mind. "Attacking," he muttered.
Chloe wrapped her arms around her knees and buried her face in her legs, wishing she'd taken Lute up on his offer. As the dream she'd just had kept coming back to her, she cried some, shaken up. "...The sea," she whispered into the blackness of her room.

Hakaru held his wife, still confused. "What are they doing this time? What is it?" he asked worriedly.
Natalia looked to Yuke, wondering what he mean. "Attacking? Who's attacking what?" she asked, rubbing his shoulders some.
[OOC:] I take it none of them finished the sentence. They can next post if I made an oopsie.

Yuke shook his head and hugged his wife. "I don't really know..."

Hakaru looked to his wife sadly, wishing he could take away such suffering. But he didn't know how.
Natalia hugged the poor mer-fox, stroking his hair softly. She sighed and kissed his forehead. "It'll be okay, Yuke. It'll be okay."
Lute, giving in to his worry, went to see Chloe. He knocked on her door, but when he didn't get an answer, he came in to find her in the dark, on the floor. He quickly went to her side. "Chloe! Chloe, what's wrong?"

Kai curled into Hakaru, but didn't close her eyes. She couldn't stand seeing the rest of that dream. "I don't know what to do," she whispered.
Yuke sighed as well, then wrapped his arms around Natalia's waist, resting his head on her shoulder. "I hope so."
"You were right," Chloe whispered, wrapping her arms around Lute's neck and cuddling up to him.

[OoC:] I'm so tempted to have Lute have a power that takes away the nightmares from people, but he suffers with them instead.
Hakaru sighed and gently stroked her hair softly. "I don't either..."
Natalia continued to pet her husband, letting him stay there as long as he liked.
Lute wrapped his arms around Chloe, gently rubbing her back softly. "I'm here for you."
