Hmm... Its either tilt your head back, or pinch it closed. I don't remember.
EDIT: Internet says to get a piece of absorbent material like a tissue and stick it under your top lip near the gum. Don't ask me HOW that's supposed to work, but according to the net, it does.

I know this is gonna sound horribly in the opposite direction, but it usually works for me.
Blow your nose.
Don't know how to explain it. You get the yuck of the ugh out and the force of the exhale should like, blast-dry the gaping hole in your nose-place to stop teh bleeding.

not activly bleeding, sweatdrop just a horrible stuffed up feeling, and when I blow my nose it is all blood clots crying

I get random nosebleeds while sleeping sometimes. Its weird. What really sucks is getting blood stains on your pillow.
