Yes, bring the Burning Legion to a place where Doji is currently staying. Smartest decision ever.

Dear Princess Molestia

Also, looking over Tres's stuff, how is it possible for one judge to make a point violation but not another? If anything, point violations should be the one thing judges agree on. It's also kind of funny considering how lax the judges have been on dealing out the other violations, especially attendance ones.

Like seriously, one of the undecided fights would be solved if the penalties were dealt with consistently.

Vintrict clearly is still mad at me about kicking him out of Sigil...or something

I'm sure it was one of our many disagreements.

He would leave, this is your problem, not his.

s**t would be too expensive and his Legion tends to avoid outright war considering they are a private entity.

Slash Zinrai

Not entirely sure how a weak willed man would gain access to a massive artillery cannon, but this is Gaia...

And that goes both ways when you've got folks RPing characters that decimate worlds to sate their raging e-peens, or show off the 15-minute crash course they took on WikiHow physics. pirate

Weak-willed men gain access to artillery all the time! Look at real world militaries. cool

And the whole 3 thing is actually in my opinion, an issue with scaling. Everyone has a different idea of what a whole score (10/10, 5/5, 3/3) entails. They tend to have common ground on the lower ends of the scale (1/10) but a terrible time agreeing on what makes a high score.

I've had people in HoH 2012 who I felt did at best mediocre get high scores from other judges in similar capacities. Or people who I felt did pretty damned well all things considering get very low scores.

So that's what it boils down to. Every judge has a different average, and every judge second-guesses their scores unless they're pissed that day.

That's just the human cogs in the machine for you.

We've seen how well that works. Defeated by robo-ninjas. You are effed brah. Only saving grace is that Archimonde takes his sweet-a** time to do anything.

If you want to know how to get perfect 3s in rp, go ask Sigil and Slash. They got it easily. They're the wizards.

Why can't you just answer the question? I'm not the only one who wants to know. What's the criteria that gets someone a 3 instead of a 2 when the comments for the 2 specifically mention how good the RP was?

I mean, I'm not even bitching that for one of my comments I only got a sentence that said I did a good job.

And also, why dodge the question about point violations?

Midus was defeated by...nah, I won't spoil it. But not by ninjas.

If anything, if they did come, he'll just call his army from home to fight them. Though I haven't revealed yet that Midus is the king of a kingdom. That'll come at the end of the tournament.

And here are my comments, which is why I'm confused. Notice how they focus entirely on how well of a job I did staying in character pretty much.

Comments: First off, I'm going to explain that I didn't take off any points because you mentioned having to go through surgery in your fight, though normally there would have been a point penalty associated with the tardiness of your posting. Try to post that in the absence thread next time. As for the fight, you did pretty good. I'm glad you rolled so well with the hypnosis as most RPers wouldn't even let that phase them. You also seemed to dictate the pace through a good portion of the fight that we got through. That said, You didn't really get much to any damage in on her. I gave you a point for the chains and the punch at the end, but there wasn't much there.

Basically, if this fight had gotten some more posts in, I feel like we could've seen more. As it was, you just seemed sort of out of your element.

Comments: As much as I hate to give you compliments, you do a solid job of sticking to your character. Maybe it's that your natural cockiness can carry over well into this archetype, or what have you, but there was never a point where Ros felt forced or disembodied if that makes sense. Some of your posts were on the short side, however, but there is only so much you can talk about in a given instance.

Also...I can't believe you got to use Hypnosis. Right out the gate, no less. Jolly good effect, had it worked properly. THough I imagine with that last post we'd see some damage.

Your posts had some misspellings sometimes and there were a few mispunctuations, but they were probably due to your surgery situation. You still kept a fair writing quality, and that's what matters. It's unfortunate because the fight probably was affected by your real life situation. I saw a lot of potential in it, and I further liked how you played along with Molestia. Players like yourself don't come along everytime, so it's always refreshing to have someone like you here. I commend you for all that you've done in that short time.

I'm interested in hearing this too.

I find it funny that I was judged completely differently by both judges despite using the same rubric.

However, like I said, you can never take bias out of this sort of thing, which is something I accept.

Whether or not you get a full score in roleplaying depends on whether or not:

a) the judge likes your character and how you play them

and

b) your capacity to stay in-character.

a) really shouldn't come into play, but people can never control their unconscious biases completely.
