yea 44 isn't so bad but when you take into account gaias RNG fail, and the 50 line interval it goes from reasonable to wtf real quick like.
where someone could roll a one and be done instantly someone else may "never" roll under a 50 and so they wont complete this part for several days putting the entire thing on hold unless the last box gets got before that unlucky person finishes.
sometimes balancing requires nerfing the difficulty just a tad to take into account websites ineptitude at 'rolling dice' I mean the numbers I've seen are ridiculous if you rolled a d100 on your own you would be more likely to see more spread to the numbers not nearly every roll over 60 aside from the single 1 back there.
I'm not complaining so much about the exam as just being annoyed at how RNG can never work properly.
also I'm not annoyed because I already finished with that fiasco... I just wanna RP with a group again and cant till they all finish xD
Now see I'd agree but your talking a character that's in the absolute weakest is likely going to have a 44.
Not a genin that's trained for the exams (ie higher stats, more skills, a few items, etc). Nor a player that started buying an awareness buff, etc.
So yes, for a player that's really.... opposite of what a tracking nin is in every way or one that decided to take on the exams far to early is likely going to have a hard time.
Also, the RNG is balanced just fine, it's just like normal dice people tend to think some roll bad all the time when statistically that's not generally true. You just focus more on those bad rolls or average rolls than you do on the good ones.
This does mean a particularly unlucky group of players are going to have a hard time, but for the most part it's assuring it remains challenging without being to easy.
Note, who said you had to go the whole thing alone?
It's perfectly possible for a player that's made it to the center to track ANY player, including their own friends or allies. Once that happens you have 2 players team rp'ing for those lines = much faster. Not to mention, one with a higher tracking could lead the other out.
I kind of wanted that strategy to be figured out by the players themselves, but I'll throw you all a bone for the few of you that do have team mates that are better at this.
Another tip, remember when you use a jutsu you can gain it's accuracy to a check.
Ie, if you used, say, Byakugen to try and see through walls you'd get:
Int(x2)+Byakugen's accuracy+awareness buffs
Hopefully these two tips shown above will help you all out.
