Endzela clicked her beak happily, "I've been well enough! Things have been a bit dramatic for a while but otherwise it has been well things are looking up again," she said as if she was just gossiping with Biskoto over a cup of coffee at a table that was only visible to the both of them. "I have missed talking to you."
The boil laughed a bit, "I been havin' some ups and downs. Mostly the ups," he said with a small nod at the question of having come alone Kettil pondered that for a moment, "I came here to meet with m'ghoulfriend but she had to go attend to things," he said with a small grin, "those things happen, y'know?"
All-in-all Kettil was just glad the event wasn't somewhere cooped up inside.

Canon considered the question seriously, pausing to try and recall just how long she'd been in Amityville now. It felt like it had just been a blink, but that adventure in the fog had messed up her sense of time.
"No more than a week." she finally decided. "I was here for half a day, and then there was a space of time where I was... asleep, I guess? I woke up in the fog, and I don't know how long we were there. And then there were a few days after that, and then there was today! So, yes, this is my first official event!"
Her eye widened as the realization sank in. She looked around at what she could see, which wasn't much. Legs, butts, and the occasional gnome was the maximum height ranger her humanoid form allowed her. But...
Canon looked up at her tall, dark friend thoughtfully.
"Are we allowed to take off our skulls here?" she asked Riley, fingers playing with her skull pin.
Thackery nodded, standing tall with pride. "They'll never leave them just lying around again, I bet! Who would even do that, anyway?! Sometimes scarelings scare me." He settled into the space between the reaper's arm and chest, content enough to purr if he were not a dog.
"Peckish? Yeah I am!" Of course, his idea of the definition of the word 'peckish' was more along the lines of 'in the mood to give a million little kisses', so the inquiry was really just lost on him. He started to prove just how 'peckish' he was, getting to just around number six before the suggestion of the House of Sparkles set in.
Two fluffy ears perked up through his mess of black hair.
"Can we? You're gonna be so amazed at how brave I am."

Mort was relieved to hear he was staying, selfish as that sounded. While alone time was certainly going to be a necessity soon enough, he doubted he could get anything done while at this party; and his legs didn't feel like they were working anytime soon either, not after that revelation. So the idea was a good one: sit together, try to block out the noise, piece things together as they came to him -
Well, at least until a shrill voice added something new to the equation. The zomboil's immediate reaction was to twist his head away from the noise as it pierced his ears, but the second he felt pressure around his legs Mort was kicking and scrabbling away in shock and fear. In this vulnerable period he did not want something preventing him from moving, much less touching him so invasively without his permission.
It brought to mind the deja vu of being incapable of moving, and he did not, did not, want to delve into it right now.
With the thing forced away, Mort stared apprehensively at the small imp and brought his legs back into a cross-legged position, visibly tensed as if expecting another "attack". "Er. Hey. . .?"

Yin looked positively delighted, perking up considerably when she supplied an actual meaning for her name. "That is quite lovely Miss Hua Lifen." It was odd that such a small thing would cheer him, even slightly, but it worked and for him to find any pleasure in it was a good sign.
"It means to hide or to conceal," he admitted to her. "In my clan we were not given names until we began to show some sign of our personalities." Well, that and so that they could be told apart, as no one was really going to remember which newborn was which.

"Dramatic? Oh, that ssssoundssss exciting! Do sssshare, darling!" Biskoto echoed, eyes widening in surprise; what sort of drama had Endzela been involved in lately? Her expression softened, and she nodded, returning the sentiment, "I've missssssed talking to you too... Maybe I ssssshould make dropping by your room a habit..." She was just so worried about being a nuisance to others, if she just dropped by out of the blue.
"Is that so? Good for you," Thanatos chuckled, his grin widening as he turned, leaning against the stone fence he was standing on; so he was right about Kettil not being here alone, even if he was alone for the time being, "Indeed they do... Will she be back? I wonder if I've ever met your ghoulfriend before, or if introductions are in order."
Biskoto, overhearing the word 'ghoulfriend', immediately perked up, "Oh, Kettil darling! It'sss great that you've ssssolved your dilemma!"

Before would have kept hugging with all his might and was about to proceed on babbling something along the lines of being so glad and relieve that he was okay. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective), Before was unable to do just that thanks to a series of kicks that collided almost exclusively to his golem's head.
It only actually took one kick for Before to release but given Mort's state, the Hunter-in-Golem's clothing obviously did not let go of the leg soon enough. The blows rattled his impish brain, causing him to just lie there on the ground, rubbing what would surely be lumps if this body was real. "Oooooy, ha-haaaarsheroooooonie much?" he groaned from the ground, waving at imaginary bat-pumpkins that twirled around his head. The short imp carefully, slowly turned his head towards the two zombies, blinking away tears of pain in the process.
"Was just soooooo glad you're, like, ooooookaaaaaay and stuuuuuff," Before drawled in the same high-pitched squeal of earlier. Then he paused, trying to sit up, because oh s**t he remembered ******** ******** ******** GOLEMS dumbass! "Heeeeey, you're not... aaaaw maaaaan, duuuuuudes, like sooooo sorry! Thought you were someone I, like, kneeeew from back hooooome." At least this potential concussion gave him a chance to come up with a fake accent.

Shra was already on her second helping when she felt a tip on her shoulder, a shock ran through her spin, her first thought was that she was eating to much and was about to get kicked out. She turned around to face a ghoul that looked no older then herself, not the authority figure she was expecting and when she asked about the food Shar unconsciously pulled the plate closer to herself, her wing moved to cover it a bit too.
"Umm....They all are really."
Shra didn't know what to say at all. She wasn't a picky eater by any means and loved to try new foods, that and she only tried a small fraction of the foods here so she didn't feel educated enough to pick food for someone else...That and well what if she told the ghoul a food she hadn't tried yet and it turned out to be really good at she ate it all before Shra could try it, the horror
"What do you like your food to taste like? Sweet? Sour? bitter?" She asked a bit timid hoping the ghoul wouldn't say her favorite ones.

Mayaa only giggled as the monster? demon? tried to cover her food.
"Oh, don't worry! I won't be taking your food! That wouldn't be very nice."
When asked which flavour she liked best, Mayaa didn't hesitate to answer.
"Oh, sweet! Definitely sweet!" She had quite the sweet tooth.
"Oh yes, all of the drama seems to follow my Reaper sometimes," Endzela chattered on mercilessly much to the embarrassment of her boil, "but it wasn't all that exciting. Mostly just teenaged angst," She said with a soft almost exasperated sigh. "Oh Bis! We could meet outside at a set time of day and we can just sit at a spot and chat! Like a....lunch date except perhaps not so much lunching," she seemed pleased with her suggestion.
Kettil shrugged a bit, "Suffering and joy is part of life," he said almost dismissively. At the subject of his ghoulfriend along with Biskoto chiming in on the matter at him made him laugh almost nervously and even blush a bit, "It kind of got solved for me, Ma'am. Well solved, dissolved, and then resolved," he said with a small shrug. "Things just kind of went a bit," he sought out a word and couldn't think of anything and thus shrugged a free shoulder.
The boil looked at Thanatos and laughed a bit, "I'm seein' a ghoul named Freya now, things went just as upside down for her as well and we just kinda found comfort in each other through it all. It wasn't what I anticipated but it is all good."
Kettil sometimes felt a bit dizzy at how fast things changed but he didn't contemplate it too often.
Well, welcome to Amityville. If you need anything, please know I am always of service. My door is always open, if anyone needs anything. It's my job, but also my pleasure.
Riley fingered her own pin for a moment as Canon mentioned it, before looking around herself. I don't see too many natural forms in the crowd here.. but I highly doubt it would be too much imposition, if you're more comfortable. Ahh.. that is.. depending on your size. In your natural form, are you large? This is a big crowd, I think large creatures might be difficult to maneuver.
She knew her natural form wouldn't have caused a problem, but perhaps someone else's might. She didn't want to assume..

Shra relaxed some but the plate of food stayed pressed into her stomach.
"Nice or not, it wouldn't be the first time."
Shra gave the girl a once over, the girl talked and acted different then she thought she would have.
"Sweet eh, hmmmm" She thought for only a moment before it came to her. She started to walk over to them.
"Caramelized Fireflies is a good one." Shar had tried these ones before, very good small but so gooy and sweet, that and there was so many there was no fear they'd run out before she had her fill of them.

Her eyes were still red from crying, but it matched the overall spookiness of her Edward Scissorhands costume. She had lost her knives long before she'd even started talking to Hel, however, so now she just looked like an emo goth ghoul with crazy hair. She pulled off her wig, and shook her yellow locks out, just as she walked directly into Kettil and smacked her face against his shoulder.
"Mmmph." She grumbled unhappily. She hadn't even noticed Thanatos yet, she simply zeroed in on her boilfriend, desperate for him to hug all of her pain away.
But when she did look up, she blinked in surprise at the boil she knew standing there, and cracked a weak, but genuine smile.
"Hallo, Thanatos, Biskoto." Her voice sounded so subdued, and quiet. She'd just been through too much angst to be her usual bubbly self. "Is good teh sees yeh both."

"I would like that very much!" Biskoto hissed happily, delighted at the idea of meeting up with Endzela; as much as she adores Thanatos, staying with the reaper could be rather boring, especially since much of his time was spent indoors, "How about we call it a hunting date?" Like a lunch date, but with more hunting.
"That ssssoundsss like quite the adventure, darling," She turned to Kettil, wondering what he meant; either way, she was glad that he seemed to be happy now - which was what mattered most.
Thanatos raised an eyebrow when the name of Kettil's ghoulfriend was revealed; he seemed to have heard that name somewhere before, finding it rather familiar. It wasn't until Biskoto started going on about "the strong winged reaper" that he recalled meeting a Freya at the Scarentines' Day party. Before he could say anything, however, said ghoul had appeared, although she looked and sounded different from how he remembered her. Regardless, he returned her greeting with a grin, and a polite dip of his head.
"Oh, Freya," Biskoto had lowered her voice as she fretted, sensing that something was wrong, "It issss good to ssssee you too... Are you feeling alright, darling?"

"Yes! A hunting date, most agreeable," she cooed happily at her friend, Owl and Snake together forever.
Kettil blinked as he felt her at his side her forehead against his shoulder. His expression went from mellow and carefree to concerned within moments as he moved to wrap an arm around her and hug her closer to him. He gave Biskoto and Thanatos a glance before he looked back toward Freya, "Hey there," he gave her a small gentle squeeze. He wanted to ask her what happened but would now be a good time to ask...?
Endzela noted Freya's condition and made a concerned sound of her own, "My Freya~, what happened?"
Nevermind, Endzela and Biskoto seemed to be all over it.
