Pasiphae had buried her head into her hands all during Acubens's outburst and visibly cringed at Zirconia's rightful anger. The Senshi of Shame always felt small, but she was feeling especially small now as it seemed one step forward meant two steps back. She wanted to make a plea for peace, for cooperation... but that had been the very first thing she had done at the meeting aside from listen. And what had that led to? Nothing. She was grateful to see people talking, to see that for the most part people were willing to try and help one another, but if it came at the risk of isolation, of anger, towards others? She swallowed a lump in her throat.

"There might... be something else we can do too," she chimed in after Ganymede and Tsui. It might be a stupid idea, a worthless idea, but to keep silent any longer would just mean that she was contributing to the problem. All she could do now was help the meeting to continue... and deal with any personal anxities and pains after. She sucked in a deep breath and continued, "Um, Zirconia pointed out that some in the Negaverse might already have misgivings about the DMC. I don't know... but if that's true..."

She trailed off momentarily to twist her thick hair between her fingers, a clear manifestation of her nervousness, "The Negaverse has pretended to be Senshi before. They turned the people against us... they killed in our name." She choked on that last part, her hands curling into fists at the memory, particularly of being called sister by one of the parties involved. But she still pushed on, if shakily, "We can't disguise ourselves as Dark Moon Senshi, because of the aura and all but... but could we disguise our intentions? What I mean is... if we run into a Negaverse officer, can we fight them and say that we're doing so to prove ourselves worthy of being 'saved' by Ares? It would take... some commitment, from all or most of us, but... but maybe it could help drive the wedge we need?"

She colored, admitting to herself how foolish the idea sounded.

Her cellphone beeped, signalling the replies of those who had seen her message. Capricorn and Virgo agreed to come, and Aquarius asked what was needed for her. Chronos did a mental headcount in her head; Troy, Neso, Virgo and Capricorn were with her, while Concordia, Celsus and Flora were around.

"Stay here." She typed back to Aquarius. "If anything happens, I'll send a distress call immediately. And if there is any progress here... update me." The address; a street not far from their current location, was included as well. Just in case.

It was a little difficult to focus and figure out her whole plan when Senshi and Knights around had been practically yelling at each other, and Chronos hoped it was sufficient. With another quick glance around the room, Chronos grasped Troy's and Neso's hands as they headed for the exit, slipping quietly out of the room.

It was time to see what Endymion had to say.

Hug-bell had followed Zirconia hoping that Hygiea would be okay by herself for a bit. The Chibi had pulled Barnaby from subspace and offered him to the angry cat. "Here, I can make him grow if you want to use him to scream."

Her eyes however narrowed at Valh. He was okay but they were part of the trouble tonight and in her opinion some of the reason Zirconia was so upset. "If people would stop arguing with someone that actually knows what she's talking about, maybe she would feel like they did need her." The child said thoughtfully, the comment sounded a little irritated.

Very few were listening to the guardian cat when she spoke and they all just wanted to argue. " Anyway, Zirconia~ Lets go get some ice cream, it'll make you feel better." She offered trying to get the cats mind away from what was making her angry. "Then maybe we can find a youma for you to beat up."

Acubens' watched as Zirconia yelled at her, smile growing slightly smaller. She put a hand on Valhalla's shoulder. "No, I deserve this. If I'm going to act rashly, then I need to learn to take the consequences for it." she muttered. "The whole confrontation is done and over with. I apologized for my actions, admitted my feelings were misplaced, and have since re-submitted my idea. Now, please stop focusing on my sympathies and return to the subject at hand." She did not move forward, instead watched Zirconia.

"I'd be happy to go with a small band of senshi to do this while the rest of you focus on the larger project of turning the factions against one another." She smiled at Ganymede and Tsui. "Even if it is just the three of us."

Ganymede would never agree with the opinion that he, or Valhalla for that matter, was a cause for trouble. Part of it, maybe, since, no, he did not like to sit idly by when people were saying things he did not agree with. However, as he had been making most of his initial comments to himself and to his friends, he refused to bear the brunt of the responsibility when it had been other people who had previously confronted him. They didn’t have to. They were at perfect liberty to ignore him and he wouldn’t care so long as no one expected him to go along with them.

Until the topic had turned to the DMC, and until his brief disagreement with Acubens—which they had sorted out by themselves—he’d been trying to keep mostly to himself. Unfortunately, other people didn’t know when it leave him well enough alone.

“I don’t recall ever arguing with Zirconia. I've barely ever said two words to her, and I can't think of anyone else who's been actively arguing with her here either, least of all Valhalla,” he pointed out to the Chibi senshi as politely as he could. Ganymede didn't like the way she was looking at his boyfriend like Val had been the one to rile things up when that was so far from the case. He would take the blame himself before he let Valhalla shoulder it.

After a moment, he cautiously lowered his voice in the hopes of preventing it from carrying too far across the room. “If you’d like to point out who you’re referring to, then do that instead of making veiled comments. Otherwise, keep it to yourself, please.”

Beneath the surface, he wasn’t at all appreciative of a lecture from a child who couldn’t even seem to keep up with what was going on long enough to know who’d said or done what. He’d take a lecture from an adult if he felt he’d deserved it, but as far as he was concerned this little girl had absolutely no right.

“I acknowledge that she knows Ares better than anyone else,” he admitted. “I’m not even really focusing on Ares right now, even if the information is valuable. We need to know what we’re up against. We know that. For now, I’m more than happy to leave Ares be while we work on picking off her little minions. I’m not interested in getting myself killed, just trying something out of the norm, since the norm doesn’t seem to be working.”

He was tired of being the center of everyone’s bogus accusations when there were plenty of other people who were behaving, in his opinion, much worse. He wasn’t storming out. He was working through it.

“Now, we’ve been trying to get back on topic, so if no one else has anything to say or any other complaints or allegations to make, why don’t we do that? We were doing pretty well for a while there,” he observed, turning back to Acubens and Tsui while still holding on to Valhalla’s arms. If Acubens wanted to move on, and he wanted to move on, and they were the two who'd gotten into it the most, then it was really probably best just to move on. “I don’t mind talking to them individually or going in small groups. It might be better to have a little one-on-one time with the ones less likely to attack first and ask questions later, just so they don’t feel threatened.”

He paused then to consider Pasiphae’s idea, a bit of guilt rising in him as he took a look at her and thought she seemed a bit uncomfortable. He was happy, however, that she was at least trying. She was doing what she could. She was making an effort to understand all sides and offer up suggestions, and he would always like her for that.

“I don’t know how comfortable I feel lying outright, but I’m not entirely against that,” he concluded. “There’s just sort of a risk of being found out, isn’t there? Wouldn’t that just make them hate us more? I’d rather not give them anymore reasons to, but… I mean, I guess it’s worth a shot. If some of us want to try one option and some of us the other. Too many of us saying things like that might get a little suspicious, I think.”

Tsui gave Acubens a nod of the head, letting her know that she was on board with the idea, despite the risk that might come with it. She wasn't willing to push that part of the topic forward with this group, not at the risk of it spiraling into another temper tantrum or mental breakdown from another member here. She pulled out her phone from whatever magical space is remained and only took a second to scan the girl before her. "Mind if I scan and have a talk with you later? Even if it's not related to this whole serious mission..."

It was an opportunity that Tsui wasn't eager to pass up; a chance to get bonafide information on the enemy? Yes, getting to know this Acubens would have been extremely useful. Later. "We'll talk more outside the meeting, assuming we don't all turn crazy and attack each other, okay?"

That last part was an obvious joke, hoping to lighten the mood and calm Acubens down long enough for Zirconia to cool down and the rest of the meeting could commence.

The more she heard from Ganymede the more Tsui liked him, and she was pleased to hear even the soft spoken Pasiphae to trying to help with the scheme. "We lie all the time, though; none of my family know what I am. How hard can it be to put on a facade in front of the enemy? We'd just have to be very, very careful."

Guine
Valhalla watched from Acubens to Tsui to the chibi named Oberon, before glancing down at Ganymede as he stood beside him. There was still too much going on in this meeting. Too much confusion and to may misunderstandings...

As Zirconia snapped, he looked up to where she was, and he gently pulled himself away from Ganymede to step between Zirconia and Acubens, despite the distance they already were at. He was tempted to place a hand on her shoulder to offer some form of comfort, but wasn't sure how she'd react.

But if people were going to give his boyfriend dirty looks for saying similar things, he wasn't going to let anyone else get away with saying inflammatory things without comment, not even his best-friend-turned-cat-girl.

His heart still ached, knowing this was Zia, but not. He wanted to approach her, offer her comfort as well, hug her and tell her everything was going to be okay, that they'd somehow work this out.

"Stand down, Zirconia... It's under control," he said, watching her sadly as she turned to leave, knowing that no matter how similar she looked to Zia, she wasn't his best friend. Was Zia even still present or did she hide away inside of this woman, protecting herself from everything that was happening. "You're right, we know nothing of Ares... just what you have told us and what others have told us... You're right..." he said again, wishing to quell her fury, his hands lifting in a sign of what he hoped would be translated as peace, and not as defense.

"She's not going to offer herself to Ares, Zirconia," he said with a glance over his shoulder to Acubens, still calling to the guardian, hoping she would give him a few moments of her time before she left. "There was just a misunderstanding... It's okay... Please... We need you... I need you..."

It hurt talking to her like this, wishing for someone else and not being able to see... Her eyes were all wrong. They were too bright and too full of anger and bitterness... He didn't think he'd ever longed for his best friend anymore than in that moment.

The tail did nothing for her figure...

Zirconia had no qualms with Ganymede. At least none that were registering on her radar at this moment given the other annoyances around her. quite honestly she didn't know he was even there until he and Hug-Bell started going at it. Tunnel vision and all. Tsui was long gone from that tunnel vision, dismissed as another smug grade schooler she didn't want to play hall monitor to, and Acubens... well Acubens' attempt to pretend her bullshit never happened and then awkward smiling just led Zirconia to believe she was too socially retarded to be reasoned with.

But Valhalla.

In an almost eerie shift in volume, the cat's intense yellow eyes were locked onto the Jupiter knight as she nearly hissed, "Did you just tell me to STAND. DOWN?"

There was weird moment after that, but Zirconia looked down right murderous.

"Maybe you forget, in you're happy little bubblegum pop world living on daddy's money and mommy's cooking and having everything handed to you like a ******** child in a little bubble where the worst thing in life is relationship drama and bad grades, but you're smug brand of bullshit doesn't always get you what you want, you spoiled, inexperienced peon with a god complex. Well, I'm done. I'm done with this whole load of crap. Talking to a bunch of adolescents who just learned social thought about the facts of the universe is like trying to explain evolutionary theory to fundamentalists with their heads up their asses. MOVE, Hug-Bell," She said with a final snarl and a mild but firm shoving of the chibi senshi, just in case anyone needed any confirmation that they weren't going to get a reprieve from the milder soul living in Zirconia. Other than earlier when she internally foiled what would've been a move to slap Valhalla.

((Sorry if there was any confusion earlier, but Zirconia's post was meant to be an exit, but I didn't make an OOC note and I felt like she kind of got pulled back into things with the way certain people interacted with her. I didn't mean to cause a kink in the RP, but please consider her gone, and having left very shortly, rather than assuming she stood there deaf, dumb, and silent for however much time passed. While I understand and encourage people reacting to the inflammatory things she said, she is exiting because I am unavailable to post, so please do not get in her way or say she is still here! Thank you for understanding <3 ))

Hug-bell's eyes widened too much was going on and now.... she sighed and dropped her head. People were way to confrontational around here..... She wasn't even talking to Gany, she was talking to Valh she'd seen who was confrontational with Zirconia and she never said Gany was. The fact that Tusi and Acubens were in the group.... welll.... whatever the child was trying to figure out how the hell Gany got into it though.

Despite all that, it was Zirconia's exit that made the chibi worry most, side stepping quickly when the cat growled at her so Zirconia could leave. Pausing for a second looking around before dashing off after the cat just enough to keep her in eye sight. Muttering something and hoping her cousin wouldn't do something dumb in her rage.

Kallichore winced at Zirconia's exit, her booming voice still ringing in the senshi's ears. The eternal understood that anger, that frustration and that sense of betrayal all too well. No doubt Albali and the rest of the remaining Blood Moon did too. Kallichore stood in a gesture of respect at the guardian cat's exit and crossed her arms, chin lowering while she thought.

"Zirconia is more than right. None of us could possibly fathom what Ares is really up to even if we tried. They have a connection we can't understand. However." And she was saying this more to herself than to anyone in particular, though several people were probably within earshot. If it were a few months before, Kallichore would have been violently up in arms against Zirconia and any idea of anyone offering themselves to the Usurper Queen, as the cat had called her. Acubens had a sort of reputation for not using her head. "That doesn't mean we can't figure out a way to stop her. If we can find a few Dark Mirrors lower on the totem pole, perhaps prove to them what Ares has done, and what she used to be. What she used to stand for."

The gray haired senshi sighed audibly. Lying to someone was going to get them nowhere and fast. "Ares convinces them with lies, so using lies to steer a senshi away from her is like fighting fire with fire. It won't work. Shouldn't the truth set you free?" She made a fist and curled her other hand around it, grinding her teeth. "Believe me, the first shot at Ares I'd get, I'm taking it. For all she's taken from the rest of us, and everyone else she'll take before we can put an end to her. But..." Uncurling her hands, brown eyes gazed upon open palms.

"If we're going with the route of pretending to want Ares' salvation, I'd volunteer. Ares has attempted to convince me before, even after I ran from her crazed baptisms. I have no doubt she'd want to try again, probably with the rest of the current and former Blood Moon Court. We'd be tasty targets, if that makes sense."

Valhalla hadn't looked at Hug-bell when she spoke, too concerned for Zia to really pay attention to anything else at the moment. But argue? No... he wasn't arguing with her, was he? He wasn't trying to stop her as she left, albiet calling after her might not have been the best of ways to get on her good side. But watching her ready to leave, just as she had at the Surrounding, upset and angry... he couldn't say nothing. This was Zee. This was his best friend. Cousins or not, he had known her since before Istas could form proper sentences.

He knew she knew what she was talking about. He wasn't questioning her. He was saying she was right. He didn't try to get her attention out of spite or because he was looking for a fight. He wanted to make sure she was okay.

It was difficult, seeing Zirconia and having to remind himself that she wasn't his best friend, the girl he'd once had a major crush on and had developed a close bond over the years as they grew. He felt like he was losing her, and he didn't want to see her slip away.

The comforting touch from Ganymede was appreciated, but he didn't look away from the Guardian cat at any moment, as if that would will her to be okay.

When they locked eyes, his heart made a weird kind of flutter of hope.... but then noticed the similar hue to his own, and knew it wasn't Zee. He realized that his choice in words might not have been the best. Yes, he managed to catch her attention before she'd left, but he didn't intend to make her any angrier.

He didn't wince as she raged at him... nor did he make any move to stop her or try to respond. She knew too much about him, information shared from Zia's memories he was sure, since few others were able to assess his faults with such ease and accuracy. It stung, made him numb... and all he could do was stand and watch blankly as she left.

After a few moments, still staring at the spot she had been, he slowly lowered his arms from his attempt at convincing her of his peaceful intentions, but any conversation going on around him feel on deaf ears.

"Of... of course," Pasiphae stammered, looking guiltly between Ganymede and Kallichore. Their objections were well founded, and she didn't them as personal offenses. Her fellow Jovians were, after all, some of the most important people in her life. Rather, it just proved to her that she should have thought about the idea a little bit more before offering it. "As Tsui said, we'd have to be very careful... and I certainly don't want to lie if it'll make things worse. I want the corrupted Senshi to see the truth, which is why I suggested the lies falling on the Negaverse, but... but yes, it's still unsavory. I'm sorry."

The Senshi quieted down, a torn look on her face. She wanted to protest Kallichore's volunteering, but she had no right. Kallichore and Europa were the two Jovians most affected by the rise of the DMC. They had lost loved ones. She had no right to tell her what to do or what not to do. But there was one thing she could do, as a team mate. "I'll help... with whatever all of us here decide to do," Pasiphae offered, picking at the lace detail of her gloves. "Because whatever we choose... it'll be dangerous. We need one another's support."

Acubens didn't know Valhalla at all. Honestly, she didn't even really know his name. But she did know that he was trying to help her, and that he was a good guy. People could pick on and yell at Acubens because she was used to it, and most of the time she deserved it. But Valhalla was trying to keep the peace. There was no reason to attack him.

Zirconia was gone, however, before Acubens could do much about it. It forced her to calm down, counting to ten in her head, and turned back to the topic at hand.

"Pasiphae's idea, unless I'm hearing wrong, is just a more aggressive version of what I'm suggesting. I see no reason we can't utilize both ideas. Those of us who have connects, use them. Those who don't form them. Unless I'm wrong, which is totally possible. But I sort of like the three pronged attack. It gives us less of a chance to be found out. If we attack from more sides, the chaos also has less of a chance to escape, right?"

Ganymede responded to the departure of the temperamental guardian cat and the busy-body Chibi Senshi by belting out a spirited rendition of “Priiiiiiima donna, first laaaady of the staaage! Your devoteeees are on their knees to imploooore yooouuu~” and so on so forth with an appropriate amount of dancing about.

Totally immature, but he had to get himself into a better mood somehow. Because the amount of storming out that was going on was, in his opinion, quite ridiculous. Maybe he wasn’t helping by being such an argumentative snot, but to him it seemed way more juvenile to go full diva and just stomp out instead of getting over it and staying long enough to actually get some stuff done.

Well, it wasn’t any skin off his nose.

At least until he caught the look on Valhalla’s face and came to a complete stop with his theatrics, letting go of the squire’s arms to circle around fully and stare up at him with a mix of annoyance and concern—annoyance because he didn’t like anyone being a d**k to his boyfriend, and concern because what Zirconia had said must have hurt.

But then she’d probably meant it to.

For the moment, Ganymede let the others fade into the background and continue the discussion without him while he spoke quietly to Valhalla.

“Don’t listen to her, okay?” he said. “Seriously, that was entirely uncalled for. You didn’t even do anything except try to diffuse the situation. Anyone who tries to claim otherwise clearly wasn’t paying attention, and the cat…”

He didn’t know why Zirconia seemed to mean so much to Val. He wondered if it should make him as uncomfortable as he was beginning to feel or if he was just being irrational.

“I don’t know, she seems to have a few screws loose,” he hesitantly continued, not sure what sort of reaction is comments were going to be met with by someone who obviously valued her presence. “If she’s going to act like that and treat us like s**t, especially if she’s going to treat you like that when you’ve only ever wanted to help, then she can turn right around and go back to wherever it is she came from.”

How did she even know all of that about Valhalla in the first place?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 19, 2012 10:42 pm

((Whewwww that's a lot of posts! What a terrible time to have so many real life things pop up. With so many posts I'm not going to be able to respond to them all unfortunately, but time for the next topic. Ask all your questions!!))

Any control she'd possibly had on the meeting (which had been next to none in the first place) proceeded to slip out of her fingers as the room turned on itself, multiple tiffs flying fast and fierce.

She tried to speak up now and again, but found herself for the most part speechless, or quickly cut off by a slew of new shouts and protests. It mostly resulted in a few brief open mouthed gapes and the clasping and unclasping of her fists in nervous uncertainty.

The fact that one of the large outbursts had come from Acuben, and that it had prompted the room to turn on her probably had a little to do with Polaris' shocked silence. She knew Acuben was sensitive and prone to emotion. She even knew that the other girl was having some problems fitting into her life as a senshi. One side of her wanted to storm down there and swoop up Acubens to protect her from those around her. But the other half...

The other side rang with a terrible sense of guilt and horror. The words that were coming out of her mouth were obviously wrong.. obviously ones that were deeply confused and likely to get her in trouble. The senshi of magnetism had really thought that she had been reaching Acubens even with their few get togethers. How could she have failed her so badly...? Failed her and not even known it? Her throat clutched so tightly that it hurt a little.

It was the voice of her boyfriend that finally drew her horrified expression off her face and settled the tense muscles. An appreciative and loving glance was tossed quickly his way, before she turned to the crowd once more, focusing to pick out the good ideas that were littered amongst the torrents. Was someone actually singing and dancing to taunt someone? It was hard to tell just what was going on amid all the ruckus left and right.

People were trickling out and leaving. It wasn't entirely surprising. She had expected people to get bored. She wouldn't have even been offended if the more experienced of the group had to decide to go when they realized that the meeting was no more then a Senshi 101 and way to catch up those that were unsure about things. But she hadn't expected people to be leaving out of anger and frusteration. Maybe it was naive to think and hope that people could work together or even try to be halfway civil to each other for one night. Apparently that was too much to ask.

"Everybody just settle down for a moment." It was a loud and simple statement, but it held a sternness to it unlike anything else she'd said up and to this point. The sweet look on her face had faded for the moment, replaced instead with the look of a mother tired of trying to wrangle in her unruly children. It was her own fault she hadn't done a better job with it. It was naive to think that using kindness and trying to give everyone a voice would work in group as messed up as this one.

But that didn't mean that Polaris was going to give up on it.

A hand lifted upwards, cutting down through the air as she exhaled a deep and stressed breath of air.

"Despite the fussing and fighting there have been quite a few really good suggestions. And while you're all welcome to disagree with me, I think many of them are ideas worth fleshing out and pursuing."

"Trying to use our connections to gather more information and insight. Attempting to help sow the seeds of discontent between the Negaverse and Dark Mirror Senshi. These are excellent ideas."

"But they are ideas that need to be fleshed out and discussed, not simply rushed into. And not just quickly over one night. We need the time to think on it. To settle on our best options and foresee any problems we might run into with them. I know we can do this if we all work together. It'll take some effort and teamwork and communication, but we can set these plans in motion."

As she spoke the sternness of her face had slowly faded away to exhaustion and then hopefulness. By the time she was motioning to a cat at the edge of the stage her smile had returned, small but there nonetheless.

"That said, it's probably about time we opened the floor to any and all questions. Whatever is on your mind or you aren't certain about feel free to ask. Please keep in mind though... the more civil we are to each other the quicker we'll get through this and the more topics we can touch on."

"That said, someone has asked to speak for a moment."

"Thank you dear," Cora said through her purr and climbed on Polaris' shoulders. She was careful to not letting her claws to come out as she didn't want to hurt the princess, even unconditionally. The feline made a little twirl up there to adjust herself in comfortable position until finally clearing her throat and rising her voice a little.

"My fellow mauvian friends!" she started. "I have a favor to ask from you! Please, concentrate to our duty a bit harder for a moment because I'm not able to right now! Sorry and thank you!"

Without further delay, the guardian cat stood up on her backpaws and waved with one of her frontpaws to the audience from Polaris' shoulders. "Hi everyone!" she chirped loudly, perhaps with a little too happy tone, considering of how negative the atmosphere had been. "I'm Cora and I'm a guardian cat."

Tiny frontpaws were placed in front of her backpaws before she continued her speech, her voice proud and strong. "We guardian cats - or should I say mauvians? - are those who are responsible of awakening and uppgrading senshi, as you know! But we are much more than that. We are here if you need answers. We may not have all the answers but I guess it's right to say we are quite resourceful because...." Cora pondered a moment should she mention it. "... Because we have our own database center in the city. I don't think I can reveal any info of it's location or anything else than it's our safehaven where we can meet and work on our own stuff, like our technology."

"Anyway, the point is that you can talk to us too if you're confused about something. We can join in your planet exploring trips as well if you want. I know I would love that, at least." Her little frontpaws made a little step-like movements and a little squeal escaped from her as she imagined how exciting it would be to get in journey with a senshi to their home planet. All those adventures! All those new sceneries! It would be so much fun!

"Oh, and you can tell us what you know and can put that info in our database and..." Cora said as an idea popped in her head. She was starting to get into in this idea of her... until she remembered something. Her tail was moving a bit more restlessly and her ears flattened againgst her head. "Hmm, maybe that's not a good idea after all... Uhm, I'm not sure if you guys are aware but there are cats like us in the other side as well. So, be careful. Not all cats that have a star sign on their forehead are trustable."

And then the feline fell silent. She looked at Polaris, looking for a some kind of sign from her of what she should do next. "So, do I to back to my duties or should I wait for... something?" she whispered.

One gloved hand reached to give Cora a quick petting as she finished her speech and asked her question. "You can wait to see if there are any questions if you like?" She offered thoughtfully before throwing in her own two cents.

"I'm not sure if it's something the mauvians can do. Or even one of us with computer experience. But it would be really super great and helpful if we can find a way to get all of this basic information accessible via an easy to find file or app on the cellphones."

"If it's right there and in your face I think it will help out a lot of people. And also make it so that meetings like this can focus entirely on planning and brainstorming."

Acubens visibly flinched as Polaris spoke, hiding her face deliberately form her. Her words came rushing back to her, suddenly. Alone, that was what she had said she was. Alone. And she'd probably deeply hurt the person who had done the most to make her feel at home in her new position as senshi and she'd... oh god. And by the look on Polaris' face the moment she'd looked at her... she'd failed her. Acubens had failed the only person she'd ever wanted to impress. Fallen hopelessly short of any expectations that had been held for her. She wanted to throw herself before her teacher and plead forgiveness. You don't understand, she'd cry. It's not like that, what I said was strange and wrong and not what I meant. It's not like that. It's not...

Something clenched in Acubens chest, making her grunt a little, causing her to reach up and grasp at it. Like when suddenly someone couldn't breathe and it was all they could do to keep from falling over form lack of air. Again, Acubens just wanted to run. Run away and hide but she couldn't. It was the same reason she couldn't join Lesath. She had work to do, and she would see it through.

She'd explain her reasons to Polaris another time. Once this was all over she'd tell her everything. This was, after all, the first time she'd admitted her sympathies to everyone. Yeah. Everything would be fine once Acubens explained herself.

It was that heartening thought that made Acubens shoot off her text to Polaris.

You're doing great, Teach. Keep it up! 8D
