"Mhm" Monica broke her own disguise and spoke in her usual voice -- clear, womanly and direct. "I'm sure you do. Ji, it's me." Then, she glanced Damien at the bar, seeing that he was shaking his head. "As the head of today's guard, I'd like you to divert your attention back to the bar where that woman who slipped some really heavy stuff in my drink is now conversing with your dear friend and I think she's done the same thing. He isn't very heavy, is he? Because he might have to be carried out if he gets too drunk" She chuckled, going slightly ahead of Jian just enough for him to follow behind quickly.

Jian's eyes widened and he looked at Monica taken aback. "I- I thought you weren't coming." He stuttered, feeling extremely awkward. He turned back to look at the bar and saw Shadow trying the drink. "Hey, if she did get something slipped in, why is she drinking it?" Jian asked. "Did the two of you order the same thing?"

"G, I'm sure you know me well enough to know I don't go back on my word. I just had to check on my lovelies first and coordinate who's coming with you today and check on a couple of other things before coming here." She said. Of course, she went there to beat some fear and discipline into them but she didn't have to say it in a vulgar way, did she? Besides, the way she was brought up wouldn't allow her to do so. "Duties first, right? Besides, I think you know why I had to get away soon." Monica knew that Jian was no idiot. He had probably figured out why Monica excused herself early. Then, she sighed. "Good sir, you probably aren't aware of this matter but it's a problem that often has to be dealt with. Men who are heavy drinkers often slip heavy stuff into women's drinks and get the same drink as well but of course, high resistance to alcohol would let them remain conscious and... Things happen: Kidnappings, rape... All kinds of things. It's an old trick but seeing a female use it is quite... peculiar." She said in response. "Now come on. The secret police are all around the place but we simply mustn't put our guard down unless you want to punish them."

"Well, I only ask that because maybe she didn't, and you weren't the target." Jian suggested. "It could be that the someone paid the bartender, and he mixed up the drinks, or that someone is bribing him to frame her. In either case, you're right. She might be worth looking into."

When Kyrell saw Dustin walk over, he flared up even more thinking, That b*****d, Zil! He's sending someone else to handle what he's supposed to be doing?! He then replied since he wanted answers anyway, "I wouldn't be causing trouble if you only told me what Helmshire is paying for, hm?" He said angrily, implying that Helmshire kept funding the rebels but Zil never ever reported what the rebels were doing. "What are your plans? Do you plan to do what you want, take over if our allied forces win and ditch us? What?!"

((Oh, hai guyz. Sorry, I was playing GTA Vice City yesterday. Actually I was thinking that I could introduce Dietrich (after bringing his profile over; he'll be an NPC) by having him go on a drunken tirade during the time where everyone has to listen to the government music. He'll probably shout insults about Jian and also probably start inappropriately touching the women. However, maybe Shadow in her intoxicated state could add to it.))


Dustin grabbed the prince by the shirt and jerked him close. "I think you should ask that question again and this time in a more calm and polite manner. Also remove the attitude. I can't stand it" he ordered.


"You alright? I think you may have had too much to drink tonight" Damien said.

"No... I... I only had just... the margarita you saw." She muttered, rubbing her head. "And yet I feel so dizzy... This isn't right. I don't get like this when I'm drunk." She muttered, looking as if she was almost about to fall out of her seat. "G-get away from me. I've been drugged."

"Shadow Fang. It's been a while, hasn't it." A man said, walking over towards her with a coy smirk on his face.

"F***..." She muttered under her breath.

Damien turned and saw a man walking towards them. He raised an eyebrow. "Can I help you? What business do you have here?" he asked.


An announcement came on. "We are giving a 10 minute warning to inform everyone that the nation will be having another Patriotic Moment and everyone must stand and salute our beloved country and our Gracious and Divine Absolute Leader."

Patriotic Moments happened about twice or three times a day, usually in the morning and evening and were dedicated to playing music (and often videos to go along with them) about the Diethelmian Empire and about the Absolute Leader. Recently a couple songs had been added dedicated to the praise of the Chief General. Hey, Damien thought his best friend could use a couple songs as well.

The man paused for the announcement to be over before talking. "Oh, not much. I was just in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop by." He lied. "Now, Shadow, I know how you like the wild life, but..." He said, putting his arm on her shoulder.

"Don't touch me." She snapped, slapping his hand away, and giving a low growl.

"Now, Shadow, is that any way to treat a potential customer. All I want, you see, is everything you know. And after that, I'll buy you a nice plot of land, six feet under the surface where no one will bother you."

Damien made a small gesture to the secret police so that they would know to keep an eye on things. "Excuse me. I just asked you something and I do not like being ignored. Would you kindly introduce yourself and explain what your motives being here are?" he stated.

"My name is Dr. Benjamin." He said, just as two bounces appeared to his right and left.

"He's lying. It's Walter and he's a weapons merchant." Shadow snapped with a slir.

"Shadow, dear, please be quite. You speak nonsense when your drunk."

"I'm not drunk. You want to get in contact with someone from the Diethelm spy department, so you can torture them to get the code to the..." Shadow started, but mid sentence, one of his two bouncers kicked her chair, causing her to hit the table and tumble to the ground.

"I'm dreadfully sorry for this, sir. Some people just don't know when to stop talking." He smiled. "Now, I believe told you my name, but I haven't had the pleasure of learning yours."
