"Horrid memory?" He laughed, "I always had fun. Anyway, I'm in my 6th. You're in your 5th, right?" He brought his hand to his lap and started to fiddle with one of the rings on his fingers.

She nodded and hopped back onto the couch where she had been sleeping before, this time sitting down and tucking her legs underneath herself. "Good. If I ever gave you a bad time, then you can feel free to slap me or copy homework whenever! But yeah, 5th year...so maybe we don't take any of the same classes, but you never know!" she said enthusiastically.

Akio laughed and pulled his knees to his chin. "I suppose so." He didn't really know what else to say. He wasn't usually this friendly. "Still...I feel like I should have recognized you sooner. Did you recently transfer here? Or have I just be oblivious?"

"Um, I think I've probably been oblivious. But I've been doing a lot of work at home because the curriculum here moves too slowly for me. Not to sound crazy or anything, or stuck up. No, I just like learning things!" She smiled at him. "I think I must have been dreaming when I saw you! There's no way that I could not recognize you! Maybe...maybe I just thought you were made of my own imagination, playing with me!" She giggled.

Akio giggled back at her. "Like an imaginary friend? Well...I do look a lot different. Longer hair...red streaks...I look like a girl," he sighed at the latter. "Oh well," he burst into a short giggle fest. "The professors do take their time teaching us, don't they?"

Anya nodded quickly in agreement. "Oh, yes. Like snails they race, and they think they're so brilliant!" She mocked them in her mind for a moment. "But we must have lunch sometime!"

"And tea! I haven't had tea in ages! Oh...Some sweets! That's it. It's going to be a date," he giggled, "Me and you will go to Hogsmeade together, and raid the sweets shop."

"Oh yes we shall!" she said brightly, her eyes wide. She popped up radiantly from the couch and blew him a kiss. "Anyways, I've got to scadaddle! I've got a meeting to attend! Later, beautiful!" And with that, she turned on her heel, scooped up her bookbag from the arm of the couch, and pranced out of the dormitory, exiting through the portrait hole.

After Anya left, Akio flopped back down on the couch. "Oh goodness, Akio. What's come over you?" He placed his arm over his eyes.

Hana slowly crept up the stairs and got packed. She tried not to make to much noise, because she noticed that Akio and Thade were still in the common room. She vaguely wondered if they had died. When she left they were in the same position.

Thade glanced at Akio questioningly. "What was that about?" he asked. "She your girlfriend now or something?" He tried not to let himself sound too interested.

Akio lifted his arm from his eyes and sat up. "I didn't know you were here, but no, I she's not. She's an old childhood friend, that's all." He smiled and sat criss-cross on the couch.
