"Well if it's a high level ninjutsu or genjutsu technique. Then does that mean someone is nearby maintaining it?" Akira questioned still at a lost for what to do. Then something unexpected happened, a man walked out of the cave. His skin was a pale shade of gray. His eyes were a bright yellow and as he smiled razor sharp teeth became apparent. He was slinging a large double bladed scythe on his back and cackling to himself.
A soft voice finally came out as he got nearer. "I know Gin said to just ignore you. But I'm so impatient I just want to kill you right now. Please bleed for me. Well it's not like you can run away from Gin's fuinjutsu anyways." The man twirled his scythe so the bottom was now facing the trio. It appeared the bottom of scythe had two muzzles for ranged combat and was beginning to gain an azure glow.

"Heh, looks like we found the source...Something is off about this guy though we should end this as quickly as possible..." Zanzu watched the guy carefully unsure of what he was capable of, he knew that if he was the one maintaining this technique that they would definitely have their hands full.
He crouched low prepairing to dodge as the barrel of the scythegun began to glow brightly "What the hell is that?!"

Tyson face twisted into a feral grin, "It's a challenge, thats what it is." He said in reply to Zanzu's question. Aca quickly moved from behind Tyson to his side in preparation for the fight.

A lightning charged pair of bolts of chakra flew out of each muzzle nipping at the air as they flew towards both Zanzu and Tyson. The shinobi twirled his scythe as to have his blade aimed at the trio and leapt forward to prepare to slash horizontally at them at the same time.
Akira jumped back to avoid the scythe as the bolts were aimed at his teammates instead of himself. He watched as his blood flew into the air and the blade scratched against his cheek. "Damn, any body have a plan yet?"

1 electrical un-reducable damage if the bolt hits. 5 lethal(reducable by normal means) damage if the scythe hits.
Objective: Dancing with the Devil Part 1
Speed + 8-Sided Dice +/- = Total Number of Successes to Dodge
10 successes or more to evade the oncoming attack
12 successes or more to evade and counter-attack with the Offensive action of your choice (with the appropriate rolls)
OR
Taijutsu + 8-Sided Dice +/- = Total Number of Successes to Counter with a Taijutsu Technique
8 successes or more to Counter the oncoming attack
9 successes or more to Counter-Attack and follow-up with the Offensive action of your choice (with the appropriate roll(s))
OR
Power + 8-Sided Dice +/- = Total Number of Successes to Parry
9 successes or more to Parry the oncoming attack(for the scythe only)
12 successes or more to Parry the oncoming attack and...
-Grapple the Commander (Automatic success)
-Counter-attack with a stab to the back of the neck (requires a second dice roll of 6 or more to succeed, instant kill with badass fatality music)
You must take two defensive actions and if you fail to dodge the bolt you are at -5 to dodging the swing of his scythe.

Zanzu quickly leapt over the first bolt then catching a glimpse of the swing from the corner of his eye he drew his blade attempting to knock the scythe out of the way only to be a moment too slow, feeling the blade of it slashing through his arm, knocking him back down to the ground and sending him sliding slightly.
"Crap..this guy isn't too bad. I suppose its time to play a little more seriously..."
Zanzu sheathed his sword, quickly removing the weighted piece of chest armor from his body and tossing it down then redrawing his sword.

"Zanzu! We can't waste too much time on this guy." Akira called out as the large man twirled his scythe and charged for Akira parrying a slash from the chuunin's kunai and then bludgeoning him with the muzzle of the scythe. Akira groaned as he felt the steel hit him in the jaw.
The large man stayed quiet and began twirling his scythe above his head.

((Yea sorry bout the wait, with the christmas holiday and everything else I either couldn't find the time or didn't feel like logging in to post.))
"This is definately a stronger opponent and will most likely require teamwork." Tyson muttered as he crouched down in a sort of animalistic stance reaching his right hand over his shoulder to the handle of his sword. While Aca focused on finding any chance to sink his fangs into this opponent.

"Yeah, we can't underestimate this guy, hes one of them after all...we've never had an easy time with these guys...whats the plan Akira?" Zanzu groaned, holding onto the fresh wound which stung with pain. It's not too deep, i should be fine...but this guy...hes no joke, he is an akatsuki after all. we're going to have a tough battle right off the bat, this is bad.

"Glad you asked. I have three different ideas. We can try to immobilize him. We can try try to pincer him from all sides. Or we ignore him and make it past hopefully the door works now." Akira whispered as he jumped back holding rubbing his cheek as he removed the weights on his arm flashing a smile. "Eh, this is still a slow day for our team huh Zanz? And welcome aboard the hard way Tyson."
The large man laughed maniacaly as he spun the scythe over head. "Yes, yes bleed for me. Hurt for me." He dug the scythe into the ground muzzle pointed down. Soon after the ground began to shake as and crack in various parts.
"Crap. That can't be good."

"Yeah...a slow day for us, but i still don't want to be wasting time on a small fry whose just here to guard a door!" Zanzu formed a sign with his hands as he performed the Kawamiri no Jutsu in hopes of evading whatever the Akatsuki was attempting, he'd never had any good experiences with bright flashing lights and didn't think they would start up anytime soon.

Tyson blinked slightly as he looked at the scythe, then the cracking ground. "Ah ********, that doesn't look good!" He cursed figuring this guy was charging up some sort of blast or flame under the ground, he hadn't seen it done before but with all the crazy stuff ninja could do, it was possible.

The ground began to crack and crumble as pillars of electricity began to shoot forth from the ground. Pieces of land were lifted up to the air floating above as the large scale jutsu took effect. "Why don't you boys beg now?"
One of the pillars came from beside the large man tearing into his own arm. It seemed no one would be safe. The man abandoned his scythegun in place and jumped back, beginning to lick tear in his left arm. "Welcome to hell boys. I put enough chakra to power this for days."
Akira's eyes widened as a pillar came from beneath him he simply smiled as it enveloped him and a loud thud could soon be heard.

Or Option C
Taking the damage head on both Tyson and Aca can go for a straight on counter attack using the pillar as cover. But you'd miss an opportunity to look all badass jumping on the floating platforms, of course if you get a 10 I suppose you could still do Option C just without taking the 5 elemental damage..
Taijutsu +/- 8 sided Dice = Total Number of Successes to Perform a Taijutsu Attack
9 successes or more to hit jutsu
11 succeses or more to hit for critical damage
13 successes or more to hit for critical damage and send the opponent flying into a pillar of electricity
Power +/- 8 sided Dice = Total Number of Successes to Perform a Counter attack/Counter Grapple
9 successes or more to hit/Partial Grab
11 succeses or more to hit and Critical Attack/Full Grab
13 successes or more to hit a targeted attack with no negative modifiers.

Yes it looks punier in choice amounts. And it's true you could also just go straight for a jutsu or normal attack just like Tyson for the same effect. But that's soo much typing but it'd be basically the same chances to hit. 'Cept for a Ninjutusu would be 12 to hit, and 14 to crit with no chances of push push what with all the pillars of lightning flying about.

Zanzu hid within the branches of a tree, watching the area with the Akatsuki carefully, too carefully...Before he'd realised it the radius of the blast was a lot larger than expected, the pillar of lightning rising right beneath him as more began to form in the area.
