Wow, what a fire storm this simple idea has created, I have to say I am not surprised though, it is simply a true reflection of the world around us.

I am torn on this subject here (as in real life) because though I am a Christian and feel that homosexuality is a sin I have several friends who are actively living the lifestyle and are closer to me than many of my Christian friends. [And if anyone is considering replying with any kind of comments about my Christianity be warned -- keep your comments to yourself, that's not what this is about.]

I think one of the things that people are forgetting here are these animals are roleplay. They are pictures! Not real. Though amazingly adorable and are fun to feed and create families with, but like our cars and houses here on Gaia, they are still just fantasy! As unreal as the gold that bought them! Get over the moral dilemma and enjoy the game. No one says that if this becomes available you have to participate in it, they simply are asking for the option.

I personally would like to see the option of childless marriages. I would love to have my husband animal marry my animal (both unicorns) and NOT produce a baby. I have 5 kids in real life, why on Earth would I want another one on Gaia? I would love to marry my hubby again and live out our empty nest on Gaia. We had an instant family before we were married and never had the time to date as a couple and I am looking forward to the fun part of it all now, and I would like that reflected on my Gaia accounts.

So yeah I think we should allow the same sex marriage - cross species mating I don't think is a good idea (they are animals after all and I am having real concept issues with a fox and a dragon or unicorn mating or even the phoenix!) And no I don't think same sex married couples should have babies or even allow the adoption concept - there are after all no orphaned F&B animals (though I suspect joyofmusic's may be available if this happens - but if she really thinks of them as real how could she possibly consider abandoning them?).

And I am not partial to the studding idea either. No specific reason here, it just leaves a bad vibe with me.

-Same Sex Marriage-

I, myself, think that you shouldn't support such values.

Homosexuality is not completely normal. It's an abomination that's been a problem since Sodom and Gomorrah. I think that it should be tolerated, but not supported.

If people were born with homosexuality it wouldn't be a sin, now would it? It happens because of influence and trauma, for example, if a mother wants a female, but instead a male is born. She could accept that her child is male, or she could go into denial and dress him like a girl, give him girl's toys, and treat him like a girl in every way. This could be one way that a male could turn out to be gay, but there is no way in heaven, hell, or earth that people are born with it.

Just like drugs, alcohol, and premarital sex, homosexuality is a sin that can be overcome.

"Could you, instead of loving female humans, start to love males out of your will? True love? Just by wanting it? I don't think you could, even you wanted to!"

In response to this, yes, you can. I've seen it happen.

In conclusion, Homosexuality is not normal, it is an abomination that should not exist. Tolerate the homosexual, but do not support his ways. Let it be made CLEAR that homosexuality is a sin and not something to accept or allow in this online community, in this country, and in the world in general.

-Interracial Marriage-

Won't work. At all. No values involved in this, but as Spikebolt said, you can't breed a parrot and a dog.

-Studding-

Just going WAY too far. If this were allowed, I would give this up for sure.

-Divorce-

Definitely more acceptable than homosexual marriage. MUCH more acceptable. The only issue is having children, then who gets to keep the child? It becomes too overcomplicated and in the end just doesn't work. It's not worth it.

-More than one or no children-

I support this idea. I think you should be able to chose whether or not you want your pets to have a child or not. Also, I think it should be allowed to breed your pets to have more baby pets, of course with additional fees.

Those are my beliefs, you don't have to agree with me or not.

I know you can't make someone give up their beliefs, but you DO NOT have to accept them and involve yourself by allowing same sex pets to marry.

Everyone has an opinion on subjects such as these. This particular one has been an argument for hundreds, no probably thousands of years.

You'll never get a solid answer on it no matter how hard you try.

I think everyone has the right to do whatever they want to do, as long as they don't hurt others.

Now... having a couple of female unicorn and female dragon with a baby male phoenix is too much of a mess... xd So i don't think adoptions and different species marriage should be allowed. It's not the same as marrying different race people (that would be like angelic and demon fox, which is allowed) it's like... a horse and a lizard having a baby flamingo xd
