Well, as much as you don't want them I am pretty sure they will play a bit of a bigger part in Halo 3. Again, especially because Gravemind has become involved. With the Covenant being ******** up by the Prophets and especially the Brutes(oh how I loath them) the Flood will be a tad bit more of the main threat. Hmm..I wonder what will become of the brutes with Tartarus having been owned.

Let me point out that I think the Brutes will play a minor role in Halo3 considering that in Halo2 we defeated Tartarus (their leader) and killed many Brutes. They are most likely going to be small in numbers or disorganized. (Yes... I am back if you were shocked about that)

My dad and I were talking about Halo 3 last night at dinner..... here is what he came up with.

It'll be something interactive. Like, you record what it tells you to, and it puts you in the story with Master Chief ((I'm laughing already. It was hilarious.)) So you record your address, your best friend's name, your favorite food, etc, and it creates the story with you in it.

Oh no! The Covenant are invading (in your voice:132 Plainsfield Avenue.)
And they've kidnapped (in your voice: Uh... Emma, I guess)
The Master Chief needs your help, (in your voice: What does it mean say your name?) to save the world!

"Gee, thanks for helping get rid of the Covenant at (in your voice: 132 Plainsfield Avenue), (in your voice: What does it mean say your name?)! Now lets go eat some (in your voice: I don't really have a favorite food.) and celebrate!" says Master Chief.

xd I didn't explain that well at all.... but it was hilarious when Dad explained it.

Let me remind you that interactive games like that are usually very small and not very popular or don't get made into real games. Also the level of interactivity could not fit into the story of Halo3 because it would randomly interupt the main storyline already put into place from Halo:Combat Evolved and Halo2.

P.S. They need to add civilians walking around or at least have something to do with civilians and you saving them or something like that.

I'm pretty sure that he was joking.

Plus, Truth and a ton of Brutes, Jackals, Drones and some Hunters have left Delta Halo and gone to Earth, so that means that there WILL be Brutes to fight. Tada, I win.

Well, I guess so but the brutes can't play much of a big role anymore. I mean their leaders dead and without a leader the Brutes are dumbasses.

Flood Brutes... oh god... the mahem that could cause. But yeah, definatly not as many brutes, possibly a new species of Covenant? We might get to see the engineers? Mmm... a flood infested Ark. Oh the possibilities! rofl

Again, with the time span that elapsed there wouldn't be a new Covenant species, perhaps one we haven't met yet but I doubt that. I would like to see an Engineer though, still gotta try and find out where in Halo or Halo 2 it is then you can apparently see one.

This is what I think:

Humans+Elites+Grunts+Hunters= Kicking the s**t out of Jackals, Drones, Prophets, and Brutes.

I've got it in my mind that the next battles won't have much to do with the rings, but rather somthing on Earth that can be used to activate the rings, and the full assult/defense will begin.

So wait... is Gravemind like a giant...flood...thing?

I think that a new species can come into the Halo world: An experimental hybrid of monkeys specially trained for battle. They'd be like little grunts mrgreen

I think we'll see the engineers. Or possibly more of the Forerunners, at least in terms of history. There's got to be pictures of some kind, or still some history. Because, I think this will all make sense in Halo 3

Master chief's armor is that of a "Reclaimer" one who would take the index activate Halo.
Halo has been activated before. Pay attetion to the monitor captured by gravemind. It says "And one actual" when talking about tests.
The flood undoubtly come to earth, vio gravemind piloting high charity through cortona or some such thing. Hell, they piloted inamberclad(Sp?) into High Charity.

Also, I want to see a scene where the master chief goes insane with a pair of Energy swords. Or if you could duel wield them, that would be so sweet. And the old magnum back. the new one isn't as good. I like sniping the skulls out of grunts using it.

OH, an addition to this. I don't think the Ark will have a Flood problem. This is from Halo.bungie.org - Halo Story

"The empire of the Forerunner was indeed vast. Beneath the surfaces of countless worlds their artifacts and installations lie buried, for the most part untouched by the passage of time. Stones and relics found at each location contained coordinates leading to still others. Many of the Human worlds were located this way: Reach and Earth, being the most recent examples. They were also used to find Halo. The Halos, the seven rings left in their perpetual orbits after activation and the subsequent destruction of their creators, are nothing short of astounding. But as revealed by 343 Guilty Spark, there remains yet another piece of their puzzle.

Hypothesized and speculated on for some time, but only recently revealed, the Ark is still shrouded in mystery. Apparently located on Earth (or perhaps its moon), the Ark is another center from which the Halo network may be activated. It is not known whether the Ark will preserve the lives of those who set it off (unlike the Halos which destroy even the life upon its surface), but because the name itself is an allusion to a sanctuary during storm, it is implied that it will.

Does the location of the Ark have anything to do with the Prophet's mad zeal to annihilate Mankind? What does it mean that Humanity occupies the world of the Ark, and possibly the last haven of the Forerunner in this galaxy? Is this yet another clue as to why 343 seems content to call every Human a "Reclaimer"? Stay tuned..."

So yeah, I think the Flood may well not be involved to much in Halo 3..at least not in the Ark..Unless the Forerunners had some Flood specimins on the Ark also and things went to s**t there. We can at least hope the Forerunners were smart enough to keep the Flood away from one of their instillations, especially one as important as the Ark.

Any part that the Flood do play in the next game will be dependant on what Gravemind has in mind. Considering he has High Charity at his disposal he shouldn't have problems getting around.

How could the flood not have a role? They left Cortana in that ship with him, waiting...waiting...waiting.

I...love the flood...seriously. I love the sounds they make when you pop them or melee them...and I like the giant zit. AND when I ask them to "Get up so I can kill you AGAIN" they actually will. Grunts don't do that.
But I don't hate grunts. In fact, I want to play as one XD It would be an interesting camera view...and the melee action would actually be the grunt biting off kneecaps!!

I wonder...does any one know how old Cortana is? After 7 or so years, A.I. are supposed to go crazy. Example: Dirga from ilovebees was kinda delusional on the 11th...um...episode...
What I'm saying is...I think Cortana will go crazy and start causing problems at the most critical part of the story. YAY. What a plot point.

Soon. She was created a little bit before the fall of reach. But she's done some crazy things, and in the books she's already a bit kooky. And also, In Halo:CE 343 guilty spark says. "The last time you asked me..." Which implies that the forerunners, or these other "reclaimers" wore armor similiar to the Master Chief. We all know Halo was set off once. 2401(?) Penitent Tangent said so.
