"...moi?" Lauren dropped her shoes on the ground before slipping them on, somewhat proud that she still knew a little bit of French- dirty though the language may be. "I would never hate the world..." She grinned as innocently as she could, completly disreguarding the guy since there was someone else to pay attention to. "You do know how to get home, right? I knida got a little lost." Somehow, she doubted this was any surprise to the other... but that didn't mean she wasn't going to say it.

He clears his throat loudly, to get their attention again. "Crystalle you say? Well I can't allow your friend to leave. By what I've seen, she's guilty of underaged drinking..." *he places his hands in his pockets and tilts his head abit. The smirk returns, now that he's assured himself that he has this situation in his hands. "She'll have to come with me..."

Monique turned her attention back to him alright, her polite smile was no longer showing. Her light brown eyes darkening a bit. She looked up at the man before her and rose a brow. "Go with you? Sorry... but... haven't you seen others of underaged drinking? The way I see it... our kind can handle the use of alchol... and as you may have noticed... she is becoming sober again.." She could feel the hairs on the back of her neck rise a bit. The fact that this unknown man was attempting to take her only friend was something that she would just have to fight. Thanks to her stubbornness, she was willing to do such a thing.

Well, this was an interesting event; one that would be much funnier if it weren't for the fact that Monique was right... her system was already through the best part of being drunk, and she was now experiencing the splitting head-ache and breakfest food craving that came with a hangover. "You know, I'm not sure if you guys should really bother with this," her grin was long gone, and a slightly nervious smile was currently gracing Lauren's lips, "I mean, you know... all the people around..." Sometimes it was hard to get out what she wanted to say... this brought about a sigh and a simplified version, "If I have to deal with any annoying 'humans are the only ones who should live' zealots tonight, I'm going to blame both of you. So better plan... creepy guy and go off and find his two friends, and Teh MoniQ can go home with me." The fact that, in Texas, a human only gets a slap on the wrist for killing a lycanthrope- and even less for a vampire most of the time- and a furry gets the death penalty for self-defense helped with the forming of her 'leave it be' plan.

His smile does not fade. He loves his diplomatic immunity and knows that at this time he's going to be playing with these girls' lives. "hmmm I don't like that plan. Justice must be served...." His hands clentch into fists, while in his pockets. The atmosphere around him calms, preparing himself to start fighting MoniQ as he heard she was called.

Her light brown eyes darkened a bit at the sound of his answer. She didn't like this guy, and she had a bad feeling a fight was about to start. So low in her throat, a soft, yet menicing growl was begging to be let out. "No.. Who do you think you are anyways?" She snapped at the guy, her manners slowling slipping away.

Oh yeah, Lauren thought with a nearly inaudible sigh, this isn't going to end bad at all. She shook her head, "Its not justice if you're only picking on one person; so would you mind, you know, killing every other kid out here who felt the need to get s**t-faced drunk? Its the least you can do, you know." As long as she wasn't the only one going down, it didn't seem all that bad. Expected, really.
She could feel the change in atmosphere, and had known her friend long enough to be able to guess where this was going. Not one to bother getting in the way of a fight between two people, she pulled her hand out of her friends as gently as she could so that she would be free to take a few steps to the side; while doing so, she resisted the urge to make cheesy- and probably out of place- Shakespear refernences about thumb biting. It probably wouldn't help things very much.

"I define justice here... this is my city..." Even though he talks to the once drunken girl, his eyes dont leave Crstalle. He appears to be patiently waiting for her to make a move, but inside he was desprite for it now. He wanted the excitement from these situations that he rarely gets to see from his office envirenment. He's so sick of having to carry himself to be civilized and now the wild vampire spirit in him is waking up once again, hungry for the blood of anything.

"...yeah, about that..." Lauren said, "You can define 'justice' any way you want, but there's only one right definition, and I'm pretty sure its something like..." She had to think for a short moment about this one, years of reading the dictionary out of pure boredom do come in handy, but only when you actually remember what you read, "Something like... 'Justice: noun; the administering of deserved punishment or reward'... or 'judgement of persons or causes by juditial process' something to that effect." She grinned, "Sooo... you really should consider that whole 'deserved punishment' and 'juditial process'; because me deserving punishment still means that the others who did the same crime deserve the same punishment... and I haven't really seen any 'juditial process'... after all, you can call this place yours, but its still America, and that means I have the right to a fair trial, right?" To her everlasting credit, the lycan was able to get all that out in under three breaths... unfortunately this was just another bit of proof she had that being a smart a**- while better than being a dumb a** in a number of ways- could very possibly get her killed some day. If she lived through this, she would consider possibly thinking about maybe trying to ease up on that.
Ok, ok, ok, ok, ok, Keever thought to himself as he wandered about downtown San Antonio, the Master's got to be here somewhere... probably. He was in his usual red pants, black sneakers, and mesh shirt; but, for the occation, he had added a black leather collar and a multi-colored collection on bracelets nearly three inches wide. He wanted to seem as harmless as he could for the Master of the City to help out his chances of protection... or, at least, of being able to have a place to lay low in. Whether or not he was protected wasn't as important as that 'place to stay' thing. Every so often, his eyes would flicker to a human who seemed like they would be fun for a night, but he would usually push those thoughts away until later in order to keep his current business at the forefront of his mind. He wasn't sure exactly what kind of person he was looking for, but he watched to see if there was any reaction to the push of power he sent out... hopefully, the Master would be able to feel and push back, or do something else noticable.

Monique's eyes flashed slightly as she gritted her teeth. She heard her friend's respone and almost wished she had duck tape at the moment to keep her from being a such a smart a**. But she knew, in some cases that the other's words would help a hell of alot when they were in a tight situation. And this was just about one of the tightest situations they could have gotten in so far. She silently thought to herself what their chances were on taking the vampire and knew it was very unlikely they would be able to take him on at this night. The moon wasn't full and it was fading by night. She had figured out quiet easily that he was the Master of the City, but she also knew that he had to follow some rules as well. She just wished she had paid full attention to that one guy she had met when she was first starting out.

After far too much time had been spent looking for someone that Keever was begining to think could have been some kind of hermit or invasable... thing, the vampire decided to just feed and call it a night. He could bother with it again the next night... or just forego formality all together and hope that the other didn't get offended. Then again, with what he had seen of the city thus far, he doubted there was much of anything he could do to offend the Master. With his mind made up, the vampire relaxed the energy he was sending out; keeping a dull undercurrent humming through his aura in case there was anything of interest around that could feel- and react- to it.
He wandered around the city for a time, taking in the sights and looking for anything of interest. There were some things around that he wanted to look in to, but nothing that fit with his mood. It wasn't until a little mass of energy drifted by him that he decided on a deffinate direction to wander it. If anyone around would pay attention to it, the energy could probably become a ghost, he thought with a smile as he focused on the little mass. He was right. It wanted him to see something. Something that had made it restless.
The fact that the ghost had been somewhat uptight but not violent was odd to him, but Keever let it go as he fallowed the ghost. Out of the side of his eyes, he could see a few people shiver or look around, Probably sensative to my little friend here. He chuckled as he fallowed it to a less than favorable part of town. What he found at the end of the 'trail' he had been lead down made him pause for a second before rushing foreward to stand by the vampire he had spotted, Well now... I had no clue that's the kind of place this is.
"Could it be... are the furries in charge and not the vampires? Is this city's Master really so weak?" He spoke with laid-back confidence, his voice not showing any hint of the French accent he had been born with. He had seen a few places where the lycans outpowered the vampires and were in charge- either by pure number... or sometimes brute strength. It still surprised him everytime he came across something like that. "Two against one... harldy fair. Allow me to even these odds."
He took not of his surroundings. Two lycanthropes- he wasn't too sure which flavor of furry they were- standing across from some clean cut vampire and himself. The furries were both girls with those hooded jackets children seemed to love so much in this day and age- one with a tanktop, and the other with a sleeved shirt of some kind- while the vampire that now stood next to him was male and looking very much like a businessman of some kind. This could make for a fun night, I suppose.

"Noone knows that you exist.... ir I can make it as such.. there are exceptions to all rules you kn...." Spike's eyes wander off the to corner of his eyes, getting the chill in his spine that signified there was something about to happen. Suddenly he felt out of control form the situation. If something different had entered the game, he still couldn't tell from where; or from who. His eyes move back to the two girl, attempting to keep his calm look. His hands in his pockets are still clentched into fists, to keep himself ready from the obviously enraged Crystalle and from what ever intloper had entered his "playing field."

Monique took notice of this guy very quickly. Her eyes flashed to him, her teeth still clentched. Of course until she heard what he had said. "Look buddy... he's the one who started the fight..." She muttered easing her nerves. "BUUUUT.... If you're looking for the 'weak' Master of the city..." She chuckled warmly to herself, this new vampire making her anger ease ever so slightly. "He's the one whom you're insulting..." She pointed to Spike with a slight smirk.

The grin that broke out on Lauren's face could probably put the mentally unstable to shame as she tried very hard not to burst into hystarical laughter... then failed at it horribly. While she was laughing at the two vampires, her self-preservation instincts made her cling to her friend's shirt as she backed away a few more steps. It seemed wise for them to start getting the hell away from the undead before something... unhappy happened.
"You mean..." things sunk in quickly, and Keever smiled softly at the other vampire the way you smile at a frightened child when telling them that the monsters under the bed aren't real, "I suppose that means you're lucky I arrived when I did, Master. You appear to need my help, after all." And here he thought that achieving his origonal would be difficult... but saving someone's a** usually put you in a good light in them, and thus got you what you wanted. What a way to make a first impression, he thought as he turned his attention back to the two furred ones. "It does not matter who started the fight, because I'm finishing it."

He lets the "weak" comment slide for now. Spike would perfer to pay more attention to this new vampire that the girls had turned their attention to. "excuse me, but who whould you be?" The tension in his body starts to rise but he hides it to keep if from being seen.
