Shinta chuckled slightly, sensing the two women's amusement at the ninja's comment.
"Better an old-fashioned sword through the heart I used to say..." He replied menacingly, taking a step toward the ninjas.

Xitha approached the group, balled lightning ready in her hands.
"Who's looking for who?" she asked, her voice as hard as steel.

Lux followed Xitha closely, her bow trained on the lead Shadow. She noticed she hadn't delievered a heart-wound the first time.
Oh well, distance was probably too great, she thought.
"Someone say my name?" she asked quietly, gray eyes glittering dangerously.

One of the ninja attacked Shinta head on. Or appeared to as he ducked and jumped oer Shinta's head and was replaced by the other as the second came in at a downward slash. The one behind came in and thrust strait.
the one in the lead looked at Xitha and chucked three shuricens at her. he than dissapeared into the forest

A sharp breeze knocked the shuriken off course as Xitha raised her arms to the sky. Dust began swirling before the shadows; birds took to the air in fright.
Above the Shadows, the sky began to darken. The dust swirling began to grow steadily until Xitha was finally commanding a tornado.
Xitha motioned with her arms, sending the tornado full-blast at the group of shadows.

Lux loosed her arrows swiftly, one chasing the Shadow in the forest, the others at the men attacking Shinta. She then discarded her bow and drew her sword, rushing to Shinta's side.

Xitha guided Lux' arrows with her wind, making sure that, if they didn't kill, they would at least draw blood.
With more of her wind, she cheerfully sent the first Shadow, the one that had leapt over Shinta's head, somersaulting in the air. She held him there with invisible constraints as she turned her attention back to the tornado she was commanding.

The Shadows quickly dropped back, seeing they were evenly matched. "Give my regards to Tochi, If you ever see him again."

Tochi?? Where's Tochi?? Lux thought frantically as she looked around.
I thought they were coming after me! What'd they do with Tochi?
Turning to the Shadows, she said, "What have you done with him? Where's our friend?"

With fluid blurred motion Shinta parried the second ninja's thrust, then twisted in a wide circular motion, dealing hits to the ribcage of the attacker before him and the neck of the attacker behind. Xitha and Lux immobilized them as soon as he was out of the way. He then leapt overhead and came down behind the third ninja, who at that moment turned back towards Xitha.
