I am James, 17, from Texas. I am a Fiscal conservstive and for the most part a social libertarian. though I would love to see the two party system break I feel the hope for libertarians in washington is through a revival of the libertarian wing of the republican party through people such as joe scarborough, and ron and rand paul

@ Butterfly_Kloe: You're a Glenn Beck fan too? Sweet. I totally agreed with Glenn Beck's Common Sense and I've skimmed through An Inconvenient Book, which I liked as well.

I'm Nikki, and I'm fifteen. I've only recently gained much of an interest in politics, but Libertarianism is the philosophy that makes the most sense to me. I find it awesome that there is a Libertarian guild and people here seem really cool. Looking forward to meeting you guys!

Hi everybody! *In the distance: "Hi Doctor--Hey! You're not Dr. Nick!"*

The username's pronounced like "mongoose," so don't get all confused.

Anyway, real name's Devon, pronounced like "dev-in." I'm 18 and I'm a Democratic Socialist. I love freedom. I hate totalitarianism. George Orwell is a hero of mine.
Democratic Socialism is an ideology that falls underneath the massive category of Libertarian Socialism, or "Left Libertarianism." The basic ideas in Democratic Socialism are direct democracy where the people are in control of every decision, and Socialism... which is essentially Communism minus the pesky dictatorship that gets in the way of the freedom. I prefer small government, with minimal intrusion on personal rights and freedoms. (No points for guessing why I don't care for republicans like George W. Bush.)
On another note, I love anime, videogames, reading, shougi, Japan, music, phliosophy, and politics.
Also--I intend to join the USMC... which is odd, considering my views on large government... and that the military is part of said government... hm...

Hello theres, you can devise any nickname you want for me, as long as I approve (I usually do if there's a hint of creativity, or call be by the username, that works too).

I'm a freshman in college, in NYC.

I don't really identify with any political party, but I am finding Libertarianism to be the closest I can identify with. I fall more in the middle of left and right, but I definitely lean to the left.

Slaughterhouse V -Vonnegut
Catch 22 -Heller
god Is Not Great -Hitchens
1984 -Orwell
Candide -Voltaire

Just five books that have definitely made an impact.

That's all for now. Once again, Hello all.

Hi. Just call me faerie, it is an archaic spelling of fairy. I am 27 years old. My father was a marine drill sergeant who really should not have had kids. I spent most of my life being mentally (and sometimes physically) abused by an over bearing authority figure. Obviously this has left me with a healthy mistrust of anyone in a position of power.

I am currently looking for employment. But in my spare time, which I have a lot of right now, I enjoy reading, writing, and drawing. I have recently written a childrens book. It is aimed at 7-9 year-old girls. I am attempting to illustrate it but the subject matter is forcing my to branch out and experiment so it could take a while to finish the drawings, much less color them.

Iudicious

I'm Sean Carter. My username is Iudicious: it's an alteration of the latin word iudicium, which means judgment.

I sometimes have problems considering myself a libertarian, considering how broad the term is, so I'd rather call myself a student of Objectivism. I support libertarianism only so far as my ideals are the same as a libertarians, which is generally restricted to politics. Which is good enough for me.

I believe in freedom.

Hello, I am Jessica, and I am one of Glenn Beck's sick twisted freaks (Which is the name that he gives his fans) and I am a conservative-libertarian.

I used to be a liberal, until I heard the other side of the story.

Ask for who I would vote for in an election... I don't care about their party, or what they look like, or what gender they are. I just want someone that can do the job, and do the job right.

I am 19, and in college, and I just started getting in to politics, almost one year ago, and I like learning new things.

Hello! You can call me Darth or Acheron or my full user name, I don't care. I became a libertarian in 2010. Before that I was a republican but I realized they no longer embodied the ideas of freedom. I constantly promote libertarian ideas on here and my facebook (to the point I've lost a few ''friends''). Anyway, I'm 28 and from Ohio USA. I'm also disabled because of a car accident in 2012 and have recently started pushing disability rights.

Hey there! I'm Kloob and I just recently became a libertarian! Up until now, I considered myself to be a very liberal republican but with the current state of the GOP and the things that they have decided to put into their platform, I decided my ideas and positions on certain issues do not align with the values of the GOP.

I'm 19 years old and live in Ohio and currently attending Ohio University for Marketing.

Hey, I'm from Ohio too! Whereabouts are you from?
