"It seems to be exactly the same for me" Taneko answered rolling her eyes "I guess thats just how they all are at this point. Attention craving" She laughed a little at Ari who was now blushing shyly, yet obviously enjoying the attention that the other sprite was giving her.
"So how are you enjoying this gathering thus far?" she asked "I don't know if you came early enough to hear Lily's and my exchange, but we had thought of doing something like this ourselves. Its nice that they decided to do something like this, don't you agree?"
The little sprite had yet to answer Fiery. Getting her act together, she finally spoke.
"Yeah, it's been a while..." she smiled shyly at the tempered redhead "what have you been doing since we last met? Anything fun? Neko gave me some clothes. I really, really like them..." questions and statements tumbled out of the little sprite's rambling mouth, all at once.

Krys snatched up the now-bloated Sprite and put him in her vest pocket. The dark little Black Walnut didn't protest, he was too pleased with himself and too full.
Turning to the everyone, she smiled brightly, "And now, I have a kind of.... contest for you all."
The woman walked to the tables and reached behind the tablecloths. Out, she brought a bucket, some mini-cream pies, and some dixie-cups and pokerchips. She went to a cleaned long table and sat down. Looking around, Krys invited everyone over.
"So, here's the game. It is similar to quarters if any of you are familiar with that game." As it was an alcohol-involved game, she gave a stern look to the minors almost daring them to say they've played it. "To those of you who are not well-versed, you bounce a quarter, a poker chip in our case, and try to get it into a cup. Inside the cups are little prizes, mostly to help you out."
She uprooted one of cups and a small ball came out, it was a condensed happy-fertilizer capsule. "This, for example, has been formulated to be compatible with all the plants here."
Krys put it back. She set it down, and passed the cup and a poker chip to the person next to her. "So, you try, and pass it on. After three failed attempts..." she grinned with a 'malicious' smile. "...you get a pie in your face!"
((How to Play:
- Generate a number 1 to 3
- If you receive a:
... 1 - You missed horribly... everyone duck! Who knows where that chip will fly!
... 2 - Congrats, the chip went into the cup! To claim you prize, see below.
... 3 - Awww, you just barely missed, too bad. Better luck next time.
- Role-play your action and the result (either a new post, or edit, don't matter). If it's your 3rd miss, anyone can grab a pie and throw it at you.... but there are rules to that too!
... Generate a number 1 to 3. Same applies as the chips, a 1 is a miss and you hit someone else; a 2 is a successful hit; a 3 is miss, but no one gets creamified.
- If you win a prize roll ONE 6-sided die.
The prizes are as follows:
... 1 - Fertilizer Capsule
... 2 - A pair of sprite-sized shoes
... 3 - A long sprite-sized t-shirt
... 4 - A small bottle of plant-safe paint for sprite or plant (washes off after a week)
... 5 - Chicklets gum
... 6 - Small carrot
- There is no order... but keep the flow, please. Meaning, take the cup from the person before you. And if it is their turn to get a pie thrown at them... feel free to do it yourself twisted ))

((so we get to try 3 times...? Oh, and I just generated a number from 1-3, seeing as there is no three sided dice xd ))
Taneko raised a brow at the seemingly simple concept. She had never heard of it before, but it sounded as if it originated from some somewhat... different situtations.
When the cup was handed in her direction, she looked around in a slight panic. She didn't even know how to do this! When nobody seemed to jump to her rescue, she sighted un-audibly and took the cup from Krys' outstretched hand.
She guessed that it would have to work sort of in the same way as if she was aiming with an arrow. Hm. She took a quick scan of the current conditions, something any archer would always do, and tried her first flick.
...and IN went the little chip. Ari, who had been sitting on Neko's shoulder, hasped loudly and jumped up with a loud "YAY!", which almost resulted in the little sprite falling off. Neko herself, let out a breath she didn't know she had been keeping in. That wasn't that bad, was it?

Inside she found a tiny pair of shoes that would fit Ari perfectly. "Here you go, lovely" she said, as she handed the shoes over to Ari, who squealed loudly and immidiately put the new pair of shoes on.
Taneko smiled at all the other guests, and handed the cup to the person standing next to her.

Fai shifted nervously, as the tiny Nimue rode on her shoulder, fully entranced with the vegan brownies she was carrying. Over the past year, she hadn't been to much of a presence, although she wished she had been. But now she felt better equipped to deal with the little river birch, which was now florishing.
She glanced around, looking for some familiar old faces, and wondering if anyone would recoginize her.

"Whoa! Whoa!" Fiery raised up his arms and laughed, "You talk too fast! Let's see... I haven't been doing anything that special. My father's like a piece of wood! I got a scarf from him during winter though, one that really matches me. Now, that I have to give my father credit for! Let's see... Nothing exciting happened. I was so bored!"
"Yes, I believe it's a part of growing up." Saniiro answered, his tone of of slight amusement. "Ah yes, this cookout was a really nice way to have a gathering, Miss Taneko. It's been a long time since everyone was together like this. I believe that the previous time was when we first met our sprites."
When Taneko had her turn, Saniiro took the cup and looked at it for a moment. He followed the instructions as Fiery gave a loud cheer. It went in! Saniiro managed a smile at the sprite on his shoulder. Well, now to check for the prize.

Saniiro reached into the cup, and took out a Chicklets gum. Fiery stared at the prize, and let out a grin. He soon burst into fits of laughter as he took the gum from his father's hands. Wiping the tears from his eyes, the red colored sprite gave a grin, "Thanks a lot, dad."
"You're welcome." Saniiro answered, before he handed the cup over to the closest person and nodded his head.

"Oh dear," cried Japi, peaking her head out from the other side of the gate leading into the Arboretum. "I hope I'm not too late." She carried a single-strap backback which was thrown over one shoulder. She inched over to where the food was located, trying to remain unseen. Once she got there, she unzipped the backpack and pulled out several platters of cookies (one of chocolate chip, one of oatmeal raisin and one of cinnamon cookies) and a milk jug filled with weird green liquid and marked in red sharpie with the letters "PF". She nabbed a cup and filled it with the odd liquid and scampered off to where Catnip was, leaving everything else behind.
Upon closer examination of the backpack, which now sits on the ground next to the table, and what used to be it's contents, it would seem nearly impossible that all of it had fit in there to begin with.

"Oh jeez! We're freaking crazy late! You'd thinked I'd remember these things!" Lily muttered to herself as her run from the hill, bouncing and trying to keep her balance. "Oh geez... oh geez..." The freting woman continued to mutter as she held a hand over her pocket to keep the poor, probably brain damaged, Toxic safe. Doing a strange 'save-self-from-falling-leap-and-make-entrance' combo...thing... Lily managed to not to fall over and to dodge all the people she had been flying toward. "I'm sorry guys! Really! I had to drop my other kids off and got so confused and...Yeah... Sorry." A slightly confusing body movement went alone with the confusing speech, but it was completely unnoticed by the more dizty Toxic.
Poping her head out ever so slowly, the red headed sprite quickly motioned for her guardian to let her down. After she had been safely lowered to the ground, Toxic fell to the ground and placed a hand over her aching stomach. "Never.... EVER...Do that again. Never. Ever. NEVEREVER." Was all she could say before the sickened girl ran behind a bush.
"Oh god! Sorry Tox! Really!" The worried adult mutter as she knelt beside the bush. Being motioned away, she mentally yelled at herself as she pulled out a large fruit tray. "Um... This is all I could get on MY short notice. Sorry."

Krys smiled at the late-comers. She waved broadly for them all to make themselves comfortable. "Don't worry, better late than never! Eat, relax, play 'Chips', it's all for the fun here!"
With that said, she reached for the cup. The small woman bounced the poker chip off the table and it went in the direction of..... the CUP! Bullseye! Krys did a little dance in her seat, and pulled the cup towards her. Julie still rested in her pocket, not even peeking his head out to join in the victory.

Krys took the cup and turned it around to see what would land into her waiting palm. Little pink sprite-booties clunked together with an audible sound.
The woman carefully reached in and pulled Julie out of her pocket. The sprite squirmed but was too plump to offer much resistance. That was, until, Krys put the shoes on and he saw what color they were.
"No!" he yelled, reaching down to tear off the inferior things. "I will NOT wear pink! Woman, take them off! Now!" The whole time Krys blocked him from his feet. He fought and swatted at her with a hiss.
Krys did not relent, and enjoyed seeing the dark sprite in pink. "Come on, pink looks so good on you!" The whole time, a big smile was on her face and laughter danced in her eye.
"Then you wear them, I will not!" It was obvious that he was getting tire. Now, Julie was wishing he hadn't eaten so many sweets.

Japi came trotting back with Catnip perched on her shoulder. The little sprite was holding on to Japi's ear for stability, but trying to make it look like she wasn't worried. (Japi was discovering that Catnip's behavior resembled that of a cat in a lot of ways.)
Japi came and set the cup--now empty--upside down on the top of the milk jug of green liquid and picked up a chocolate chip cookie. "Here ya go," she said and broke off a piece with a lot of chocolate chips in it and handed it to the sprite.
"Ooooh yummy," the sprite replied and munched on the cookie greedily. Seeming a bit startled she looked up from it with wide eyes. "This is good!"
"I told you so," Japi replied, smiling.
With that, the two of them joined the rest of the group.

Taneko and Ari had quietly been observing the other owners try their luck, after answering Saniiro with a polite grin from Taneko, and a blushing smile from Ari. It had turned out that, so far, they were all excellent throwers. Both Saniiro and Krys had managed to get the chip in the cup. She and Ari had also laughed at the little black walnut sprite as he loudly objected to wearing pink shoes.
Even though Ari liked pink, she was quite happy that her shoes had been an outfit matching black-ish colour. Pink would, after all, have clashed with her skincolour.
They had both noticed the girl that was carrying a whispy blonde sprite around. The had also noticed a second girl come running in with a more blue, cat-like sprite. Neither seemed to know any of these two girls, but both were rather intrigued.
Deciding that she was hungry, Taneko stepped away from the crowd of cheering and talking people. Going for the vegetables, she ended up not far from the girl with the blue cat sprite. Deciding to introduce herself, seeing as this WAS after all an event meant to provide opportunities just like this, Neko silently communicated this to the pink sprite still situated on her shoulder.
Grabbing a single carrot stick and munching on it on her way over, she smiled at the other girl.
"Hello" she said "I'm Taneko" she stuck out a hand.
"And I'm Ari" the sprite chipped in, smiling charmingly at the blue sprite.

(( Sorry about the lateness! School's been hectic. ))
Ian studied the cup. Studied the chip in his hand. Canniver had apparently picked one up while he was over there. The boy tapped his chin, and observed from all angles. He'd never been very good at sports. Logics was more his thing. He tossed the chip... And into the cup it went! I seemed that logic was far better than skill in terms of these things. He grinned at the Sprite in his pocket, and patted Cani on the head, gently, so as not to hurt him.
"Looks like we won something, kiddo." Ian said brightly.
Canniver just nodded. He didn't seem to feel very well at all.

Ian carefully made his way over to the cup, and upturned it into his palm, to see what was waiting inside. Into his hand rolled a pair of silver sprite-shoes that matched Canniver's hair. BOY was he getting lucky today. He offered his hand for Cani to climb into, and the sprite did so without hesitation. He pulled on his new shoes, and studied them a bit, grinning.
"They look good on me."
Ian nodded, and ruffled the silver hair a bit with one finger.
"Indeed they do. Are you hungry?"
"Not really... tired."
