Japanese with subs. I can't stand dubs. They sound so mono-toned to me and don't put enough efort into the characters feelings. They most of the time won't fit with the characters voice. I do however enjoy the studio ghibili dubs because they're most of the time done by professional actors. 3nodding

I usually go for Japanese with subs, but if I'm lazy and don't want to read then dubbed is nice lol

Usually I watch the English dub as I want to watch my cartoons, not read them. >.>
But, if the dub is really poor like say... Love Hina gonk that really is a bad dub, then I'll watch it in Japanese audio with English subtitles.
Also, if the series isn't licensed yet then clearly I'll watch in in Japanese with English subtitles. domokun

I like watching mostly the transtlated anime but i also watch the anime in Japanese but with subtitles (good thing i'm a fast reader blaugh )

japanese almost 99% of time wiht english subs..
i find some of the english voice lack emotion or sound whiny

Depends. I mostly watch it in Japanese with English subtitles but if I think the English Dub is good I'll watch it in that.
Also if I've watched the complete series once, the next time I watch it, I'll usually watch it without subtitles. I roughly know what's going on and subtitles annoy me because they block up the screen. xp

ooh, it is so annoying when you are watching anime with other people (I am American) and we don't understand english, but they insist on it being in Japenese because with English subtitles, because it is more NATURAL...that is crap! If you don't understand it, why waste time reading, when you can just watch it in your own language without reading!?

When I was younger, I watched anime in my native language (Cantonese) without subtitles (who needs English subtitles if you can't read it?). Around the same time I watched different anime in English. I never thought anything of the voices back when I was a kid. Now I watch anime in Japanese with English Subtitles AND I watch English Dubbed Anime.
