He heard Caroline call out and also scampering. Voltaire just smiled to himself and reached out and pulled open the door so that he and Annjette could enter, "Hello, Rojiza and Caroline. Hope I did not come at a bad time"
Annjette chimed out her own greeting, "'Lo~!" She was trying to be cheerful despite the weather.

"Of course not," says Caroline, putting her things away. "Pardon the mess," she says. "Have a seat." She gestures to a comfortable-looking chair. Rojiza bounces excitedly. She waves to Anjette, still having no words.

Voltaire nodded as he closed the door behind him he chuckled at Rojiza, "One moment, let me unbundle the duckling here."
Voltaire removed the oversized cloak and made sure no part of her was nagged before he finally put her down.
Annjette giggled a bit and waved at Rojiza once down. She didn't want to speak much so that her friend wouldn't feel outdone.
Voltaire stepped carefully around the girls and had himself a seat, "No mess, just a nice lived in feel." He smiled and shrugged, "Glad we weren't interrupting anything, how do you fair?"

"Wonderfully," she answers cheerily. "I love the winter and the snow. It makes me feel like I'm home again." She smiles, the mist of nostalgia clouding her eyes momentarily. "We lived in the mountains, you see," she explains. "As far as I know, my brother Stephen still does. He travels with a different gypsy caravan. He's a skilled tambor player. We used to make quite the pair as children. Would you like something warm to drink?" Rojiza promptly tackle-hugs her friend, making ecstatic chattering noises. Presuming that Anjette will understand. |Sorry I like...died. xD I got called away from the computer for an impromptu snowball fight. xD That was fuuuuun.|

((Sorry I took so long getting back to you. Been trying to get things done in other places too. n_n; ))
Voltaire smiled and nodded a bit as he listened to Caroline talk. He didn't seem to mind at all to just let her ramble on if she desired to. Plus the more time Annjette got to play the better, or so he figured. He nodded idly to her question, "I'd love some, please. Seems like it'd hit the spot."
Annjette let out a startled squeak once she was put down and then tackle-hugged. She listened to the chittering a faint almost creepily quick mechanical tilt to her head, much like a bird. She then let loose a playful giggle, "Play!" She pronounced in her limited speech. That's all she knew she wanted to do, if the other could talk or not it mattered little. She knew darned sure however that her companion knew how to do the essential thing -- play.

Rojiza giggles in return and scampers away. Anjette is, after all, it. "Wonderful," says Caroline, "I have lots of tea, would you like some? I can make coffee, too, if that's preferable." She opens a cupboard to reveal numerous tins in a rainbow of colours--though most tend toward purple, green, or brown. She looks back at Voltaire, cocking one eyebrow, waiting for an answer.

Annjette again found herself to be "it" again, and thus gave chase. Waddling somewhat akwardly to keep up with the more sure footed Rojiza.
Voltaire watched the girls for a moment before Caroline's voice brought him back to her again, "Hmm? Oh, please tea is great. Coffee keeps me up all night -- usually." He Smiled faintly at Caroline.

Caroline smiles. "What kind of tea would ye like?" she asks. "I've got almost every kind ye could imagine." She takes down a light green tin and two wooden mugs. She puts the tea leaves from the green tin into one mug. The sweet, spicy aroma of mint wafts into the air. "I'll just put the kettle on the fire. Pick out what ye'd like, but be warned that the tins aren't labeled--seein' as I canna read." She winks. She takes the water kettle and exits the wagon. Ro giggles as she watches Anjette waddle around. She bounces around and up into Voltaire's lap. She snuggles against him, almost purring, before bounding off again. She climbs her way up into Caroline's bed, up higher near the ceiling of the wagon. She giggles again, watching to see what Anjette will do.

Voltaire had to stop and think on it for a moment then shrugs laughing a bit, "I drink any tea, so go ahead and surprise me. I could never pick a favorite." He smiled at Caroline happily. Voltaire was sincere with what he said and honestly did not care what tea it was. He laughed a bit as Rojiza had suddenly appeared unto his lap and then bounded off again, "Playing tag I see?" He watched Annjette waddle after Rojiza, stopping first in front of his legs before the girl noted that Rojiza was no longer there she changed course. Annjette didn't seem to mind too much that Rojiza had momentarily cuddled up to her papa.
"Annjette slow, no fair!" The child called after, but there was no hurt tone to her voice it was backdropped with childish laughter and good natured play.

Rojiza arches a furry eyebrow at Anjette and stops, dancing around in circles until she catches up. She then giggles and jumps just out of reach. Caroline smiles and nods. "Alright, I'll give ye a tea that's easy for beginners." She puts the leaves into the mug, and exits again to retrieve the kettle.

Hastily scrawled in a spare moment:Today while Ro and I were walking in the woods (it was our turn to go for firewood), we heard such a strange, soft noise. I drew my dagger, just in case, and we proceeded slowly. Rojiza wasn't frightened at all; she just sat atop my shoulder and bounced a bit. The noise grew louder and louder until the most wonderful thing I've ever seen appeared. It was a deer--royal purple in colour! He was beautiful, so majestic with swirls of gold all over his body. Too bad I didn't have my magic bells! I approached him slowly, but he fled. I mourn the loss of such a wonderful creature.

Menelie Rojiza arches a furry eyebrow at Anjette and stops, dancing around in circles until she catches up. She then giggles and jumps just out of reach. Caroline smiles and nods. "Alright, I'll give ye a tea that's easy for beginners." She puts the leaves into the mug, and exits again to retrieve the kettle. Voltaire gave a small chuckle and nodded, "Anything is honestly fine with me." He watched the young ones while resting his back to his seat, "Glad the girls get along though."
Truth be told Annjette could at times be a little standoffish at least toward him, and that was probably because he was still sort of new to her and thus was testing his limitations.
Annjette giggled lightly as she grasped after Ro with her fingertips until she managed to finally speed up just enough to touch a bit of cloth Ro was wearing. Though it likely wasn't enough to make the other child it, but it had a certain slice of satisfaction to it. The satisfaction came with a price as Annjette stumbled over her flat-ish duck feet and fell unto her knees.
Foiled again!

Rojiza stops and looks back, and of course scampers back right away to help her friend up. She arches both eyebrows, as if to say "You okay?" "Alright," says Caroline, "I think it's ready." She presents Voltaire with a steaming, but not too hot, mug full of aromatic tea. It smells of wild berries and a hint of lilacs. She sips her own mint tea contentedly, watching for his reaction.

Voltaire sniffed a bit at the tea taking it's smell and smiled lightly and then took a sip from it, "This is wonderful, Caroline." He complimented her with a genuine tone and a wider smile. He truly enjoyed the tea.
Annjette got up with Ro's help, and she nodded at the expression before vocally expressing her welfare, "Annjette okay, See?" She seperated from her friend and did a little waddle-walk in a circle just to show that she can still be mobile.

Rojiza giggles at her friend, then scampers away again. Anjette is, after all, still It. "Good," says Caroline. "It is from my home village. The first tea that ever touched my lips." She breaks into smile. "But I must say I was just a bit younger than you are. The old woman called it Mysterious, but with time I figured out exactly how to make it."
