Ovaan rolled his eyes in the darkness, but, intrigued, stepped out into the light, finally holding the lamp steady. He stood in it's pool of light, examining her with a slightly cocked head. His eyes were a blood red in color now, matching the dominant color of the lantern at his side, which still, oddly, cast a golden light. The light of the lantern brought out his powerful physique and strong features. But despite his obvious muscle, there was an air of daintiness about him, refined by the green and brown fearie wings held tensely downward on his back, like a moth's. He was ready to take flight at any moment. Oddly-colored bangs framed his face, falling farther than the rest of his hair, all the way to his chest. On closer inspection it could be seen that these were not locks of hair, but antenna.
"There is no honor in attacking from behind." He said wisely as he examined her, his eyes running slowly from her feet up her figure to her eyes.
Though he sensed no threat from her, he remained tense.

Kelala raises an elegant eyebrow at him and smirked. "No there is not. But the question remains, will I be able to go through this forest peacefully or not?" I don't need this I don't need this She chanted like a mantra in her head over and over again. She was tired at the moment also hungry all she wanted to do was rest. But no this odd man had to threaten her.

The man cocked his head again. "Why are you here?" he asked. "Haven't you heard the stories? Are you foolish? Have you a deathwish? What is your name? Why are you travelling alone?" His curiousity had gotten the better of him. This woman intrigued him.

Kelala blinked a few times slightly taken back at all the sudden questions. "I am known as Kelala Elisia Lanate and I am traveling to retrieve something. In order to do so I have to go through this forest. And yes I have heard the silly rumors that the villages spin out."

"Retrieve something?" Ovaan folded his arms, an eyebrow arching. The movement caused his lantern to swing, once again sending the mystifying shadows across the clearing. For a moment it was as though the man himself had disappeared. "That's a vague reply. How am I supposed to trust you on that?"

"I do not care if you believe me or not. But I speak the truth I need to get something back and thats all that I am after." She said sternly as her eyebrow ticked. Kelala didn't like being questioned when she only spoke the truth.

Ovaan tensed suddenly, his wings flaring and eyes changing abruptly to a dark blue. He looked around, as though listening to something only he could hear. "It comes..." he whispered to himself. He looked up at the woman who seemed to want to die so badly. "Fine. Have it your way. If you're dead before morning, don't blame me." And he turned to leave.

"Wait." Kelala said as she reached out and grabbed one of his wrist in a bold move. "What do you mean it comes?" Her eyes looking at him with courusity. She began to wonder if those silly rumors the villagers had told her were actualy true. IF that was the case...what did she just stumble into?

Ovaan jumped, not expecting her to grab him. He turned to face her warily. He was becoming more and more tense as time passed. He didn't have time to get her out now. Ag'helai would be angry. "It," he stressed. "Ag'helai. It comes." He was beginning to sound desperate, almost pleading. "You should never have come here. He'll be angry if he finds you." His eyes darted from hers all around them, rapidly changing to a deep purple. He was beginning to shake. He was torn between fleeing annd helping her. He didn't want her to die, but if Ag'helai caught him with her...

"Then he won't find me." Kelala said as her gold eyes flickered around sensing the oncoming danger. The edges of her eyes tinted red. "Come on I won't let it get you either." She said holding onto his wrist tightly she bolted running draggin him behind her.

He cried out in surprise as she dragged him after her. "Wait!" He pulled her to a stop, digging his heels into the ground and flaring his wings, dragging her agaisnt him in his haste to stop her. "What do you think you're doing!?" He hissed, wrapping his arms around her to steady her and keep himself from toppling over.

Kelala gasped as her face tainted pink slightly when she felt him pull her to him. But a soft growl escaped her lips as she looked up at him. "Staying alive." THough shocked she was also angered at being stopped. She was hoping maybe they could get away from here before it comes espiacly if the rumors about it are true. Kelala might have been a decent fighter but she didn't know if she could last long with just her small daggers.

Ovaan didn't release her. "How long have you been in Kiada? Since early morning, right? I thought so. There is no more path. Do you know which way you came from? No?" He turned her around, his hands still on her arms. "Admit it, you're lost."

"Does that really matter when there is something out there that kills? Besides my bag is that way and its near the path. I know where I am." She said in a low voice, her body tense to make sure nothing was creeping on them. She wasn't sure of what she was against but that didn't mean she was going to le ther guard down.

Ovaan's mind was working doubletime. How to protect her..."Look. You can't outrun It. Stop being unreasonable and listen to me."
