Moonstone harrumphed. "Father was out of commision for over a month from that fight, and mother barely saved him."
He rolled his eyes. "It's just mist, Onyx. You can smell though it easily enough. Plus, we're underground maybe the mist just got caught down here or sometihng. There is no sun to evaporate it after all."
Ignoring Onyx's obvious distaste with the nakename, Moonstone called out into the gloom. "Emmie? Are you out there?"

"You should have payed more attention with you're training my dear Onyx, the mist doesn't bother my little reptilian tongue." Esmeralda like her father had moments where she was a bit of a goof oof, not so much as her father, Nailah had made sure of that. She apperead behind him and laid a kiss gently on his cheek, she loved to rease him since he had always been the more agressive of the two. She moved quickly and wrapped her arms around moonstone. "So how is favorite little twin doing?" she asked as she kissed him gently on the cheek.

Moonstone smiled at the girl. "I am doing alright, if you disregard the mess that Onyx has gotten us into." He held Esmerelda for a moment, a nice tight squeeze before leting her go.
"What are you doing here? And more to the point, how did you get here? Or maybe you can asnwer where here is."

"Bah, not in need of more training I did my time with that, cousin."
Her kiss on the cheek got a snort, he was the more aggressive and the one that didn't show affection as much. and he turned and watched her with his brother, hands on his hips.
"So what are you doing here? and where you are, trouble is too. so where's the action?"
He grinned, he enjoyed a good fight and troublemaking. his tail moving a bit back and forth, and ears perking slightly.
"And him...he's just being a big crybaby and wanting to go home already."

"I do not know the name of this place, but there are different kingdoms here, some nice, some not so nice. As to how I got here, you have my father to thank for that, I wanted to go exploring so he sent me through one of his portals. Unfortunately he only have me enough juice to take myself home, had I known you two were going to be here I would have asked for more." Esmeralda said, she was not lying, she still did not have full control of altered dimension partals and needed tha help of her fahter to do so. "Sorry Moon dear, yo're stuck here for now, but don't worry we can send a message to Uncle Cymmaron and Aunt Rand if you need me to, Via my father of course." she said with a shrug. "And yeah there is action to be had, the town right outside theese place is barbrawler's dream." she added.

"Hey, I'm not the one who got to frightened to face his parents."
He patted Emmie on the head, "I wouldn't trouble your father with such things. He has enough on his plate, I think. Plus, I blieve mother can track us with her void. She told me a story once of where she did something like that."
He snorted, a brawlers town? "Gees, Onyx sette down. It's like your actually looking for a fight."

"Brother, there's nothing in any world like a good fight. especially when you can win. Booze, brawls and babes. what better place to be?"
He chuckled, a little bit in an upbeat mood until father and mother were brought up.
"No need to let them know where we are. I got no intention of going back. and I wasn't frightened. I just didn't want to deal with them."
He tossed the raven item up in the air again with a small grin.
"and with this being mine, they ain't coming after us anytime soon."

Esmeralda could not help but laugh at the comment that Moon had made about her bother. "You seem surprised by that fact my dear cousin. He is like his father, a fighter, although Uncle has always been a gentle soul he used to take me flying, when you two were infants. He was very graceful in the sky." she laughed and turned to face Onyx. "Be careful where you thread young one, you are hungry for power. You have seen what happened to my father in his quest for such things, and even you're father. Power is not something that is taken by force it is earned." Esmeralda voice took on a sage like tone, it seemed that her father and mother had taught her well.

"mother and Father don't even know the full potential of that item. Be careful with it, it is mother's first heart after all. Do you willingly wish to play so carelessly with it?"
"Brawlers a babes, honestly. You aren't going to find very...healthy women in a brawlers town. Nor will you find a clean one, or an honest one. Those jems are few and far between." He knuckled Emmie's head, "like this one here. Never a a jem so pretty."

No comment on the power thing...but a smirk at his brother over the babes speech.
"I'm not looking for an honest girl. clean maybe..heathly in the right ways sure. you act like I'm supposed to only be looking for a mate. ever heard of having a bit of wild fun?"
A glance at the way Emmie had come from, and a smile that made him look more like his father on the verge of a big hunt.
"I think I'm going to like it here. it's gunna be one wild time."

"You're are one crazy furball, you know that?" she said looking at to ONyx with those serpentine eyes of hers. " I just hope that someon knocks some sense into you before you end up like my da, dying from a heart condition." It still hurt her to say that, her fahter still had many years ahead of him, but the heart problem had already started to sap his strenght. He had become to age normally and now looked 50. She could not help but laugh at Moon's comment. "Yeah I am gem that kick your a**, the daughter of the priest trained by a Vah, and don't you forget that." she said with a chuckle, she did so enjoy talking to Moon, he has the only one of the two with a brain always had been.

"Bah. no one one's going to knock my head. besides, we're young, we are always entitled to a bit of good fun with the opposite sex. just cause our father never got any until he met mother doesn't mean I gotta be a stick in teh mud about it too."
But he also knew that if he went off on his won this time, chances are moon would either get talked into letting thier parents knwo where they were..or he was going to keep teasing Emmie and then they'd both take off on thier own someplace. and wether he liked it or not, he'd better know where his brother was if dad or mom did come.

Esmerelda shook her head at Onyx' question. "You really are never going to learn until you fall flat on you face, did you not listen to your father or mine for that matter about taking too much at once?" Esmeralda asked. "Youth fades and I seven years older then you, I was learning how to use mother's sais and do the jogo with Tyler long before you could stand up straight." She said with that smile of hers. "Off course we are going, who is going to make sure you stay alive out here, becuase you are going home, eventually." She said, in a matter of fact sort of way.

Esmeralda made her fast towards the town, "Meet you guys ther okay, i have to go pick up some ammo." She said as she moved like the wind towards the city.

"Your distorted views on sex disturb me, younger brother." He frowned.
"Are you kidding? I have to come to keep you from killing yourself." He crossed his arms, and started to walk into the forest, following Emmie's scent.
They walked for a while, the strange mist swirling not just around their ankles but high in the tree tops too. That bothered Moonstone, because absolutly anytihng could be lurking in that mist and they would never know. He kept up the difficult task of keeping an eye on the mist, and a nose on Emmie's scent.
They broke threw the trees, found themselves infront of a very large citiy that seemed to have the look of a town once happy and prosperious, but had someone met a bad end. The once beautiful artistry applyied to each building was crumbling, almost rotting. Paint was chipped, wood was bent, and everything just looked...dilapidated.

Esmeralda had finished with her chores, she know had more than enough rounds to come up against anything that this little village could throw at them. "Well, yeah didn't I warn that this place was going to be like that?" Esmeralda said as he leaned against moonstone. "Don't worry, moon, I got you back, besides its him I am worried about." She said with a giggle looking at Onyx, she saw something in those eyes of his, and it scared her, why becuase it was lust, a lust for power. How many of her family had fallen to that spell already, how may would fall before they realised power meant nothing.
