Cid looked at the table and stared into it wit complete silence, the words echoing in his head. She's dead, its all he coould hear, ".........and midnight?" he said without knowing it. The words just came to him like a simultanious reaction. "That's impossible," he said as his voice chocked, he could not remember her but he felt like he had died again. "Was I not there to protect her," his voice said, changing as the wolf answered his voice.

Shii....lowered her head feeling really bad for what she had done.Before you two met ..last time in the training room...,before hand I was informed she was being poisened..The got it on video..,so I was allowed to watch it."She gave a nervous cough trying to avoid his gaze."Blah blah blah you and her were flirting and stuff...I guess when she rolled over and closed her eyes....that was it."She sighed her face a ghostly white color."As for Midnight he is somewhere around here sleeping on one of the bookselves.He might be on the second story of the library..thats where i heard him crying earlier..."

Cid looked up as a fire tear rolled down his white pale cheeks. "Why do I cry, I cant remember, I dont even know who midnight is anymore, but maybe i cry cause I cant remember them, or cause the wolf makes me, I've changed yet i remain the same," he said as he looked down and a blue flame rose from his hands, "It's not right, I should have saved her, at least then I could have been happy that she lived." He didnt remember her brother but he remember his spirit in midnight, "Midnight,"he said alittle of a yell as his fire grew bigger.

Shii had a small secret that she was going to keep to herself for now.She didnt feel it was important ....at least not until he regained his memory..She sighed picking up books and putting them on shelves.

Midnight lay curled up giving little mew kitty cries.He rose his head his ears hearing a faint noise."That sounded like someone was calling me...?"Oh Shino why did you have to go?! Please come back! You cant be dead I wont believe it..you promised yourself you would never leave a loved one again...THe little black cat swiftly ran down the stairs seeing Shii and some other figure talking.He looked closer and saw.....it was Cid."Cid! Oh Cid! Have you heard the news its terrible!"The cat ran over giving a sad face of distress and panic.

Cid looked to midnight as he approached, a blue flame unhurting at the moment picked him up, "who is she and why did she die," he said angrily as his eyes became velvet and crimcon colors. Cid was confused as his emotion took hold of him, "both of you tell me who she is and help me remember, I need to remember." Cid was in an emotionl wrecking state and though he hadnt hurt anyone yet, he could if it took total control.

Midnight's tail went one way to the other was Cid scared him."What on earth are you talkign about?! Of course you know Shino remember?! She loved you and you loved her back right?"Midnight was screaming as his eyes seemed to go back and forth in his head.

Shii got worried and tried to grab Midnight from Cid."He is right you two loved each other you rescued her from her saddness.Because of you she learned to love after the death corps killed her brother..."

Cid released midnight, "I cant remeber since I died, I dont remember her but then again I do I suppose. I remeber loving someone and feeling the happiness but she is los in my memories." Cid's fire calmed as he held his head with both hands, "If I loved her, how could I let her die, I would have sworn to protect her, I'm sure of it." Cid remove his hands from his hea and looked at the two, "I'm sorry midnight, I can't remember her except for those few that come to me when I think or speak of the word love," he said sorrowfully.

Shii...was tired of hearing the saddness and now hated herself even more.She went behind the restricted door and vanished from sight.

Midnight licked his fur and shook his head."Its alright its not your fault."He looked around causiously as if looking for something."There is something I have to tell you while she is gone...Its really important so dont get upset right yet.."The cat turned around and bolted up the stairs,giving him a sign to follow."We have to go where she cant hear us."

Cid was confused but followed midnight instead of asking quesyions, he had to know. The wolf would not reviel his memories to him so he had to find them on his own. His Carpathian blood boiled for the revenge and punishment he so wanted to strike the so called Death corps. The wolf at least told him that, he was following middnight and noticed the girl had left, "this is gettng weirder now," he said fixing his glasses.

Midnight sighed as he moved to the back of the library."Let me get one thing straight...that girl isnt Shii..When Shino died it wasnt really her.When you first met Shino she was in a different body..bound by a curse to keep herself alive.Then a few days after you two confessed your love..a spirit from the death corps took over Shino's body and booted Shino somwhere..Though..this body..of Shii..Shii...is Shino CId..She didnt want to tell you because seh felt you couldnt handle it."Midnight shook his head feeling rather bad now."SHe is sad because the body you loved since you and SHino really met it hasnt been Shino.You've been loving some other person then the person you first fell in love with."Midnight took a deep breath trying to obsorb it all."I was lying ...sort of trying to protect the secret.I wasnt really supposed to tell,but she is making herself miserable over you..What you thought you healed the pain ,..it was come back since she hasnt seen you really in about a year."

Cid sat down, thinkking it over, "so the shino i fell in lov with i alive and the demon that tricked me to loving her is dead," he said confusingly. This was all knew to him and he didnt know what to do, "so midnight, what do I do?" he said looking into the ground. 'Why wont you let me remember," he said to the wolf in his head, 'cause you dont need to' it responded. Cid's wolf self was like a split personality to him now, he was the wolf nd cid both in one body.

Midnight slowly nodded his head getting a bit confused himself."Yes your are correct."During that time he was doing some brain scanning,as Cid seemed to be deep in thought."The voice is right you know...The person you first fell in love with was Shino's soul but not her body.So..you just have to bring back the love..that you had before.By the way.....if you see her..sort of ..attack her....If you want to understand how she feels grab her by the arm in the hallway.Most likely she is going to struggle though I wont say why yet."Midnight got up and left disappearing with lightning speed.

Downstairs Shii looked around figgety wondering where Midnight had gone."He better not be talling him anything..after all Im not the one he loved.."

Cid sat against the railing and looke down, seeing Shii, 'let me remember,' he said to the wolf but he had no reply. He gazed deeply at her, his eyes with sorrow, "I remember meeting you and th feelings I had fo you, but I forget the moments," he said lowly. "Shino," he said still watching her, he remebered alittle bit of who she was. Cid felt his heart slow down his breath become hard and his mind blank fo once. "What happened to us," he said lowly again.

Shii jumped looking over at the stairs.She could have sworn she heard him call her Shino...She thought about running for the door knowing she had been found out.Midnight why did you tell him...was it because of the blood in the sink?The memory flashed by of blood pouring into the sink and hearing muffled cries."Cid...."Her eyes held so much kindess...,but the saddness of a dull winter day..She for some reason found herself pinned in place,as if her body refused to move at all.

Cid just stood and watched her eyes, "do they still cry crystals," he said, "like they used to," he finished. Cid couldnt breath well as he still sat there, the memory of her crying and the sound of the crystals against the ground. "My memories are a privalage and not a gift," he said lowly. Cid's eyesz began to burn with the res flame as his back began to burn. The dragons helped him to remember abit but the wolf still kept most of it caged away.
