Really, I dislike playing covers. I mean, Sweet Child O' Mine, 12:51, Aerials, Brain Stew, Last Nite. They're all easy enough with practice. But I prefer playing own songs, and just ******** going ballistic and playing whatever I want. Good fun.

Tylor_J Drum_Master_T Honestly, I know so many songs I couldn't even list them here because I'd probably forget some lol! The most recent songs I learned are from when my band was bored so we decided to do some SOAD, so I know most of their songs now. Also I tried some slipknot again...still ain't fast enough sad and some TOOL- I'm actually getting most of Vicarious! Are you sure your getting Vicarious right I couldn't even begin to try that sad . Danny Carie's beats are often off-beat tom rythms sad . Danny is a really odd drummer because he studied numerology and bases beats off of it. Most of SOAD is easy and funny to play though. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm getting Vicarious right, I get DRUM Magazine and they did a feature on Danny and they included the full sheet music for Vicarious on it. I do agree that his beats are certainly difficult and off-center sounding most of the time. That's what makes it so satisfying to learn his stuff. And SOAD is definetly a funny band to play!!

Wow... I pretty much suck. I can't play any songs.
I've been taking lessons since October and we haven't learned any yet... just rudiments, first. So I can put together songs for myself later and not have to just cover other peoples songs ^_^
I'd still like to learn a few sometime though..

Oh sorry I kind of worded my post wrong I wasn't really doubting you were doing it right I was trying to say how different his stuff is to me. I wouldn't mind getting a subscription to that DRUM magazine if they have his stuff in there it would be awesome if i could learn right now im trying by ear but his tom beats make it hard to learn that way sometimes i guess i just got the wrong ear for it

Spex8929 I'm upset now. I've been playing for 4 or 5 years (can't remeber) and I still can't play any good songs. I have a really good teacher too and I practice just about every day. Do any of you guys have any good recommendations for how I can play harder songs? It's mostly SOAD stuff because that's what me and my friends "band" (it's just us two) is mostly playing. Thanks for your help guys! Do you have a Drum Machine? Those help with skill.. Other than that, I don't know.
