Caelyna
A mission. A real mission. Caelyna knew that they were here for an important purpose, but she couldn't help but be extremely excited. There was so much to do and so much to see--even the ground they had landed on was strange, in that it was...soft. Green. Natural, unlike the synthetic wold that she was used to. And everything smelled so...fresh. Not like Velencya's recycled air at all. There was a breeze, and it caught in the loose bits of her hair, the ones too short to be added to her braid, and she couldn't help but stop in her work setting up the camp and just...breathe it in.
She knew she couldn't idle too much; she had to make sure that she represented herself well, lest she shame her older sister and the rest of the Commanders. And the Commodore. And...
She looked over towards the blurry shape outside the dome. And her Prince. Her Prince, who really existed, he wasn't just some kind of story that people whispered about. He was real, and handsome, and so kind, and Caelyna resolved that she would do whatever she could to help him.
But! Lyndin was speaking, and Caelyna focused, like so many of her other allies--her friends, she hoped--and listened to what he had to say.
She hoped that Caedus was right about their allies on Earth. That they would be able to help; that whatever happened here would be for the good of them and the good of Velencya.
And the good of Velenia. She wasn't sure if her sister remembered their homeland; she'd never asked Velyria much about it, nor had their parents ever spoken on it much. But she did know how important it was to so many of them, and she thought...she thought that with this slight exposure to a natural, non-synthetic world, that the idea of going back and reclaiming theirs sounded absolutely wonderful to her.
It would be a home--not that Velencya wasn't, but this would still be something real. Something theirs.
Caerynn's question made her perk up. It was true, there seemed to be so many Senshi here--could Sailor Velenia be one of them?
Lyndin's answer made her bounce onto her toes and clap her hands over her mouth to muffle a noise of delight. He agreed--it was possible!!
That alone made this entire trip worth it. The slight chance that maybe, somewhere, on this beautiful rock with all its vibrant, bright life...there might be one Senshi with just the right star int heir heart.
Caelyna was loathe to open her mouth and look foolish, but she was still all attention; her expression shifted to sometihng more thoughtful as she considered the possibilities of allies and messengers put forward by Valnyr and Itztenoch. That would be the sort of thing Velyria would care about, so Caelyna decided, mentally, to dedicate herself particularly to the mission of connecting with their Earth allies. Diplomacy, exchange, all the things her sister insisted were important pieces of tactical understanding. Caelyna knew herself, knew that she was clever and resourceful, and she expected that with a little time to get to know everyone here, she could make something good.

LysviA mission. Lysvi had spent much of the last few decades preparing for the chance to go on an actual mission with the Vanguard. To not only get chosen for a mission, finally, but to get chosen for one that went to a planet that was so wonderfully alive with the sounds of people and flowers and grass and smells-- It nearly took Lysvi's breath away, and to say they were enthusiastic for the mission might have actually been an understatement. A chance to work directly with Commodore Lyndin, on top of all that-- A mission to work on the planet that had a force that had apparently trapped His Highness for a thousand years was a lot to think about on top of that. A living planet, but also one that contained evil. Not ideal. Their attention was nearly entirely rapt on Lyndin as he spoke -- well, with a couple exceptions. They leaned in toward the man next to them. "Yddagen," they hissed, before their expression expanded into one of delight, "could you imagine? We might find Sailor Velenia here, with all these," they paused, scanned their mind for the word, " humans -- but our people could have Velenia back!" Back, Lysvi said, as if they had any experience with it at all. They knew Velenia was important, especially to the older members of their species. They had never known anything other than the artificiality of Velencya. Focus, focus-- They cleared their throat, ran a hand over their braids, and lifted their voice to ask an important question, " Commodore! A question, if I may - you tell us to avoid the Negaverse. Has," they paused, looking toward the outside, where they could see the faintest outline of their apparent royalty, " His Highness mentioned what we should be on the lookout for when it comes to identifying them? I want to make sure we're adequately prepared to keep a wide berth." Quote: just a little author's note, Lysvi has no set pronouns and is fine with any. I'll stick with one pronoun per RP!

Ny
She kept close to him, because she always kept close to him. He hardly needed to call for her. Ny’s name had no sooner left her companion’s lips before she was lightly thunking the bottom edge of an empty glass jar to the side of Fysarius’ head, so that he could collect whatever he wanted of the humans’ foliage.
It was a world like any other they might collect resources from, as far as Ny was concerned. “Pretty” because it was different, and absolutely filled with voracious parasites.
Certainly no better than her own world. Her own home.
Ny could be perfectly content to complete the mission as efficiently as possible and be on their way. There was nothing to see here. Not really. Just organisms cohabitating on a planet barely fit to support them all- or unfit to, as some of the research notes claimed. Why the humans’ problem was so adamantly the Valenians’ problem, she would never understand. But she supposed it wasn’t her place to.
She took up a spot beside her friend, crouching low in the grass, curling her arms around the top of her knees as she tipped her head inquisitively as Lyndin spoke. They knew what they were here for, at least they should, so the reminder wasn’t really necess-
Oh.
She’d hoped they would be able to listen together; the whole speech was hardly more than a few seconds. Worth pausing the collection for. But Fysarius was easily distracted. Enthused about his interests, and often little else. That’s why she was there. Ny could keep one wayward man in check. She prodded two fingers into the side of his head, not gently and repeatedly, until there was nothing for him to do but pay her mind.
Once Ny had his full attention, with a derisive huff, she jabbed a finger toward Lyndin. There was no mistaking her pinched expression that said, ’Pay attention!’
Quote: Anyone else is welcome to engage them! <3

Aliez
For a moment, Aliez didn’t realize that the Commodore must have been talking about him being beyond his limits, but once he did realize it, he straightened himself a bit more. Although nothing could have stopped him from making a slightly horrified face at Vyn. He knew he didn’t want the Commodore worrying about him, or anyone else, so he would just need to make sure he took plenty of energy from himself later to ensure a good night of sleep.
He listened as Lysvi brought up the Negaverse, and he tensed a little. They’d all heard from His Majesty how terrible they were, how they’d tried to kill him, and how he’d been trapped in the place called the Rift. He was certainly not looking forward to meeting any of them.
There were questions he wanted to ask, but his curiosity had gotten him into trouble before, so he held himself back. There were too many voices already, and the Commodore was likely tired. He’d already been working so hard and would likely have to deal with the questions from the Senshi and Knights as well. He would just have to hope someone else asked.

Yddagen arched one eyebrow at his sibling. It wasn't that he wasn't excited as the others around them. He was very excited in his own way. But he was less optimistic than Lysvi about finding their senshi on this planet. Sure, this seemed to be where the senshi in general were aggregating, but out of all the stars in the galaxy, all the celestial bodies that might have once had a senshi, there were certainly more than the number of humans on the planet. Right? How could they be sure that their time in this sector of the universe and their senshi's would overlap? It would be incredibly fortunate, almost unbelievably so. Or, perhaps, not almost unbelievable, but quite unbelievable. What if one of the humans was their senshi, but had not come into their powers yet? Did that mean they needed to be mindful of the humans that weren't yet directly involved? What if their senshi awoke while they were there, while they were ready to accept them? What were the chances of that? Any chance was better than no chance, Yddagen supposed, looking up to Lyndin for his response. Even a tiny crumb of hope was better than none at all. But he needed to make sure that he was very careful about how much hope he let himself have. Not enough, and he would potentially amplify any stress he was already going to feel. Too much hope, and it would hurt that much more if it didn't pan out. Cautious optimism. He just needed to maintain some cautious optimism. Quote: Yddagen is open for interaction!

Valnyr
The young alien had at least managed to school her expression into one that was slightly less exciteable and a lot more neutral. This was probably for the best in the given circumstances as it was proving challenging to take in the Commodore's remarks as well as acknowledge that some of her peers were a touch more adoring than others. Where credit was due (and it was always due), the Commodore was as professional as ever and had responded kindly to everyone, but fawning over a superior really wasn't why they were here was it.
Each and every one of them had a unique opportunity. Each of them had been picked for this mission and they all had the skills needed to succeed. At least that was how she had taken the news when she had been advised of her new post. The fact that they now had a much clearly defined purpose was simply building upon this and she was sure to make several mental notes in regards to what he had said.
In short, there were some whow ere in favour of the expedition and then there were others who were less sold on the prospect of the help. The fact that they would choose to refuse their help was bizarre as a prospect in itself but far be it for her to judge over that yet. However despite their reservations there seemed to be no immediate risk that they would intervene and disrupt proceedings. Provided this read was correct then things should go well provided that they all worked together and were as efficient as possible but...
"Commodore," she pursed her lips. "In the event that those who are less in favour of our presence do decide to disrupt us, what would be the correct protocol?" she asked.
She was excited at finding their own senshi but they would have all the time in the world to do that once their mission was completed successfully. So, in short, her main goal at this stage was to make sure that they did succeed!
"Do we inact the same protocol as we would for these 'Chaos' beings?" she continued. Lysvi was correct in their question though, how did they know what to look for when it came to those who they absolutely had to avoid? She would need to prepare an appropriate plan before exiting the dome that included these considerations! The Space Cauldron A quick question to Lydin. Seiana_Zi A mention but not direct comms!

Cypher (Cy)Unlike his compatriots, Cypher felt no measure of excitement upon their arrival. If anything he felt uneasy if not wary and was concerned by the growing number of supposed allies gathering outside the barrier. His Majesty seemed content if not gladdened by it, and Commodore Lyndin felt comfortable enough to allow him to linger out there on his own. Trust was a delicate thing, something that most often had to be earned, and since their arrival, Cy wondered if they offered too much of it to the humans simply because there were few among them that Caedus considered friends. Unfortunately, it was not his place to pass judgement on them; even so, he couldn't help but look out past the barrier at the blurred forms of ones who lingered a distance away, judging the Vanguard as he was surely judging them. Cypher continued to listen to Lyndin's instructions, arms crossed over his chest as he addressed the rules of engagement and etiquette then went on to list their primary objectives. The Commodore was a man to be respected and was someone that Cypher had looked up to. A role model to many of them and Cy was no exception to this. He spoke in facts rather than emotions and was always prepared. With age comes wisdom and his life successes were nothing to turn a nose up at, he knew what it took to survive, to win, and Cypher intended to dedicate himself to this cause and make sure that the Commodore's plan was realized. When the speech was finally done and the others began asking their questions, Cy walked over to both Fizz and Ny. Probably should have said something to them but his mind was obviously elsewhere still processing everything.

Fysarius
He'd always considered it more of a blessing than a curse that there could be something he felt truly enamored with. Maybe it was unfortunate that it wasn't tending to other worlds' problems, but they had enough of their own to deal with that it should hardly matter if he cared about some population lightyears away.
Fysarius flashed Ny a bright grin as a jar tapped to his head, and he reached to claim it from her so that he could siphon into it the prickly seeds that clung to the long sleeves of his uniform. It would be pretty bizarre to find something useful out in a random field on a random planet, but how would he know if there was anything interesting about it, unless he looked? Now he should find the parent flower, dig up its roots. Make it comfortable for the coming days.
And then, abruptly-
Jab.
Fysarius let out a muted gasp and swiveled to face his aggressor, immediately disoriented from the harsh stab and not really expecting- "Ny! What?" He demanded, confused by the sudden hostility, but only for so long as it took him to notice her glower and roughly gesturing fingers.
Look, it was fine. He knew the point, already. "I am fortunate to have hands and ears that are-"
Jab.
He swatted back, a flap of an arm to distract her more than outright shove her off. "capableoffunctioningindependently!" He didn't need his hands to be still to hear the Commodore's words, and it didn't feel like it should be a necessary requirement. And the biggest commotion was that he was being openly attacked. "Qwittit," he shot back at her, throwing a hand up in her face.
When all had calmed, he huffed, flattened the front of his bodysuit of its crumples from twisting about, and glanced back to the other body that had joined them.
"Cypher," Fysarius said, casting the other of a little smile. "Not interested in joining the others?" He offered. "I thought you'd be the one to ask for more about the humans."
Shanyume It's great! Appreciate you!

Lyndin turned his attention to Lysvi to answer their question but still spoke to everyone. “Check your GPS often. That’ll be the easiest way to identify them. By sight, they carry weapons, and wear dark clothes. They may be in the company of strange creatures, so be cautious. If, at any point in time, you don’t feel safe--use the warp pad. I don’t care if it takes extra energy that we have to replenish, I’d rather be safe than sorry. I don’t want any of you getting hurt.” Valnyr also had a good question, so he directed his attention to her next. “If anyone attacks you or gives you any trouble, use the warp pad. If you feel uncomfortable, better safe than sorry.

ItztenochItztenoch nodded Valnyr's way and mouthed a solemn 'you're welcome', eagerly supportive of her direct line of questioning. It was easy to agree with her voiced concerns. To hang on until the end and wait, attentive for answers as others offered up one question or another. Noted the information he found important for himself - for them - and the rest? He supposed it'd be a matter of trial and error. Of playing things slow to a degree, to wait on their Eminence to pass a more solid judgement of those he'd been so enamored with - so ingratiated to - that he'd brought them across space and time itself to heed and help in their cause against the dark virus of the Negaverse that battled for supremacy across earths foreign soil. Ears perked and attention peaked at Valnyrs bold question, if they were hostile towards them. He wasn't exactly sure he could handle it the way Lyndin requested - however much he wanted to cling to the mission initiative, understood deeply the need to vie for peace with those who would seem to offer it in turn... If any harm came to them. "We should maybe keep our crystals handy, heh, all of our tech I suppose? If our only choice of recourse is to flee and regroup until...well.." soft tsk of sound as he gave Valnyr a discreet shrug. He wondered if they should go out in pairs until further notice - take overt cautions instead.... " Lysvi has a good point as well, in regards to ensuring our preparedness. These - our allies? Is it possible they've similar databases to ours - something that can be easily accessed so we can have a firm imagining on what were facing. Apologies for dragging this out Commodore-- I'm sure we're all exhausted, but..." if it'd keep them alive - if it'd be better to have direct access to their allies databases so that all the knowledge they had of their most offensive enemies could be shared in vivid detail? "...I'm a bit of a visual learner. Distinguishing a weapon..a dark piece of cloth...The GPS can only do so much for me, especially since we'll be going out in - ah - 'human guise'. With the goal of blending amongst the rest to gather what's needed. If it's something that can be asked of them, maybe, to share this thing if they have it on hand." It would tell him how much trust to place in those they were there to save. Would tell him even more about their willingness to offer aid. Though the crux of it was Itztenoch was hesitant to pull on the identity of 'their people'. To mash together an image drawn from a dna variant. He wouldn't know how to recognize himself, if he'd even enjoy being seen as such a thing!!

LysviJust an arched eyebrow for their efforts? So boring. So blase. So ... bland. Lysvi was perfectly fine emoting enough for the both of them, but sometimes they desperately wished that their twin would smile a little more. Maybe seem a little more excited about the concept of them being on a living, breathing planet full of so much living and breathing life. They rolled their eyes, nudged him gently, and turned their attention to their leader. Check the GPS? They guessed that was something. Wearing dark clothes? Must have been some kind of Earthling signal for this one is evil. In the company of strange creatures? What qualified as strange on a planet where everything was so foreign? They scrunched their nose as they thought about the implications. Better safe than sorry, they supposed. Itztenoch caught their suggestion with the concept of asking about the senshi and knight's database, and let out an excited, "Ooh!" They agreed, clapping their hands together. "That will help get us ahead of things! We should see if they have something we might be allowed to use. Do you think we should make a database on them in turn? Friend or foe. And see if we can't start getting profiles of these Negaverse agents." They paused, blanched, and added, "Not that I'm interested in getting in too close! Just as a warning for the rest of us!" Ah, by the Cauldron, Lyndin might think them silly--

VynThe Commodore did not hear him, which was good. Or, the Commodore heard him just fine but chose to ignore him, which could either be good or bad. Perhaps the Commodore saw no reason to draw attention to the slip, no reason to embarrass him in front of everyone, no reason to chastise him for not asking questions like his comrades were. Or perhaps he did not find Vyn worthy. Perhaps he regretted bringing Vyn along on this mission. Perhaps Vyn never should have been in the Vanguard at all. He continued to listen attentively, glancing at each cadet in turn when they voiced their questions. In the process, Vyn spared a brief look of distress at Aliez, who remained silent. Probably just as overwhelmed. Vyn would do better, he knew, once they could see to their mission in earnest.

Valnyr
So in short, if there was any sign of hostility whether from their proposed allies or otherwise, then they were to leave immediately. Per her peers and their remarks it was therefore vital she be prepared, ensuring that every last piece of equipment she might need to bring was well charged and ready for use. She could certainly do that, that was just good sense, but in regards to some of the other queries she wasn't so sure...
Why would those who were apprehensive provide them with their intel? Would there be those that would go against the wishes of their own comrades, and if so, would that not splinter the group and make hostilities worse? If there were individuals that were uncertain of them then she was not so comfortable with the concept of asking for something that might well start a fight on the side they needed to win the favour of.
...Going behind their backs and expecting others to betray their wishes was ill advised.
More public databases though? Perhaps those would be of use and she felt more comfortable with those. If they were open, available and welcoming then she would seek that out first. Nevertheless if the Commodore wanted them to threaten a rift by acquiring information they may not be entirely welcome to, then she would follow the orders accordingly - in the grand scheme of things her personal concerns were irrelevant... But she would much prefer to make friends!
Rather than dispute the idea of a peer who might well have the favour of their leader, she held her piece for now and made a number of small notes within her comtech. She would stay for a little while longer to hear any more orders before offering her polite regards and requesting she be permitted to leave and prepare.
She knew her manners, and ultimately, her place.

Eso
As eager as he was to get out there and learn humans like their mission was, he couldn't. That angered Eso, honestly. The petty pink alien wanted to press his luck. He wanted out. Wanted interaction. He stuck his tongue out at the royal and his entourage, or at least in their direction. Of course he'd follow orders, but no one said he had to like it.
So, instead of going to bed, or resting, or whatever, he was wanting to get closer to the barrier.
He didn't have any questions, but he was definitely here to see what the others asked, and the answered. Maybe it'd answer something he didn't know was a question in his head.
It did seem like some of his colleagues were not happy about having to wait. He could see it in their faces. One pink hand moved up, pushing his hair out of his face as he puffed his cheeks. Let them play with these ‘rambunctious’ humans. They had to learn one way or another. They had to see what humans were like when they weren’t happy, too, you know! It was their jobs after all.
Caerynn’s question was actually good. Their senshi… It was almost like a myth.
The answer didn’t disappoint. It left a fluttering in his chest. Still, the warning made sense. We signed up knowing we could get hurt or lose our lives on this mission… Eso thought, but the sentiment wasn’t wasted.
Valnyr’s question definitely needed to be asked. More information was their goal. Well, that and helping the humans or whatever. He knew the mission, really he did. He was just distracted with being on Earth and not being able to go play.
Oh? Energy offerings already? He’d be eager to get that list of names from Caedus when he returned. How did they go about collecting it from these creatures? So many fun ways, as long as it was given freely.
So far this wasn’t going badly. Some looked a little worse than others, at least on exhaustion levels. What would the morning bring, he wondered?
Slowly moving away from the group, just enough to be on the outskirts, Eso looked out into the distance. What kind of human would be his first encounter? He bit down on his bottom lip, repressing a smirk as he got lost in thought and tuned the questions out.
At least until he heard Valnyr’s voice again. He blinked those lilac eyes and focused on them. Oh yes, would they be able to defend themselves should things go hostile or would they have to run?
Then the answer came pretty speedily. Warp pad. He rolled his eyes. They could protect themselves, but they had to run? Well, whatever. Eso would follow protocol so he didn’t get restricted to never interacting with the outside again.
Eso shook his head then and tugged at his uniform shirt, straightening it up. Maybe he would just go rest. There was nothing more to be done until tomorrow, and he was sure anything important, aside from that list, would be announced to them at some point in time. Or he’d learn it through the ranks.
Either way, he was making his way toward the resting quarters.

Gavaen
Gavaen could understand the hesitance of their supposed allies. if he had such a resource-rich world to protect, he too would he suspicious of some unknown beings coming to offer aid against their enemies. And that was saying a lot, since Gavaen really did his bet to believe in and see the best of everyone! But that didn't mean he couldn't understand. Sure, that Vanguard knew that they came with all the best intentions, but the earthlings didn't know that for certain... But Gavaen would help them see!
After all, their best chance at success was a unified effort! All for one and one for all! And in helping them understand their genuine intentions, he would learn more about them, their worries, their hopes for the future of their own planet~
Honestly, the fact that things hadn't gone worse than they had inspired hope. Lyndin's words of warning and emphasis on escaping via the warp pad if things went bad received and understanding nod, though. He was hopeful and positive, yes, but even he understood that no matter how much vigor he felt for making everyone understand and unify, and how much he told himself he could make everyone his friend, there were some people who were out of his reach.
Gavaen would try harder to look out for himself. After all, he had to make it home after this mission was concluded. He had promised.
