Willow heard an enthusiastic reply to whatever Julia asked. It was probably by a first year. Willow glanced away from the jewelry she was 'examining' to sneak a look at whoever Julia was talking to. It was a boy with short black hair and blackish eyes. He had that awed first year look about him, and Willow assumed Julia was showing him around. Willow felt a pang of jealousy. She hadn't had anyone to help her around the school, or any friends to ask help from. She wasn't exactly the friend-making type. The only reason Willow wasn't an extreme introvert was her raiment. For her raiment to be very affective, Willow had to know things about people. In theory, she could just use context clues and guess and check with her raiment, but Willow would rather not perform that tedious task. Instead of learning social skills, Willow learned how to snoop and spy on people. She also evades questions most of the time, because she never knew if the asker's raiment could be like hers, requiring knowledge of people. Willow is like a safe, you have to know the combination to get anything out of her. Willow looked back at Julia to see her taking the black haired boy somewhere. Willow started to follow them nonchalantly, wondering where the two could be going.

Cyrus Marshall ~ Market District Streets ~
Having travelled light for some time now, Cyrus had very few belongings left in his pack, a potion, some dried meat, his fiance's necklace, a hooded cloak and of course, the book he had found in the forest. Setting his guitar beside a nearby signpost, he took a moment to draw out the dark, hooded cloak and pull it on before sliding the strap of his guitar back over his shoulder.
Suspecting that like most towns, people frowned upon hooded figures, Cyrus decided to keep his hood down, choosing instead to keep his gaze low as he stepped into the market district to search for a place to settle for a while. The streets were a little busier than he was used to back home, but Cyrus had a slight height advantage and used that to help weave between the crowds. Eventually he located a fountain where he would set down his pack and slide off his guitar.
Taking a seat upon the steps leading up to the edge, he cast a glance around the crowd before placing his hat just a few inches from his feet - it was important to keep his things close as in his brief travels, he'd already witnessed thieves and pickpockets taking advantage of simple distractions. He would take a moment to tune his guitar, plucking the strings with care as he found the right tone before strumming it softly.
Eventually, he would start to play; the tune was soft, gentle - a ballad of sorts that required no additional voice to draw the crowd. It was a simple song, but it was something he had learnt and perfected over the years. Soon, people would start to walk closer, dropping the occasional coin into his hat before continuing on their way around the marketplace. Not everyone would drop coin, but Cyrus didn't mind - he even welcomed the occasional listener, watching them quietly as they took a moment to stand and enjoy his music before moving on through the stalls...
He had considered selling the book he'd found to a passer by, but if it had indeed come from the Academy like he had suspected, it was bound to be so hot that not even a fence would buy it... Instead he kept it hidden inside his pack for later reading and played for the masses, hoping to gather enough coin to earn himself a meal and a bed for the night before moving onward to the next town...

Not only had he woken up late โ which was unheard of for him โ heโd also received a report of an attack in the woods. Apparently, a student from the Academy had wandered too far and encountered a territorial predator. He didnโt have much more information than that, but considering the Court Mage, Gannon, wasnโt demanding that the City Guard help hunt down the animal, he could assume that the student came away more or less unscathed.
Regardless, Gannon had requested that the citizens be warned not to wander into the forest unarmed, lest the beast, whatever it was, come after another innocent bystander. Heading through the city square, his swords lightly tapping against him as he moved, he headed for the Academy, but as he passed by the market district, he was surprised to hear a guitar being played.
Following his ears, Reynard walked through the morning crowd toward the musician, who stood off to the side, his hat at his feet. Unlike some cities, Eoana didnโt mind street performers. A lot of guards would shoo away a stranger playing a guitar, โbeggingโ for coin but in his mind, the man was sharing his music with the people of the city in return for donations. There was no harm in it and thus, he had no problem with street performers.
Reaching into his pocket, he withdrew several coins, one gold, two silvers and several coppers. It wasnโt much by his standard โ just spare change โ but it would be enough to buy the man a good meal at any of the local Inns or taverns. Stepping forward, Reynard tossed the coins into the manโs hat before taking a step back to listen to his song.
By the time the melody ended, Reynard had a small smile on his face, his mood somewhat lifted. Clapping lightly, he gave the musician a little nod of approval. โWell done! That was a beautiful melody. Youโre quiet talented.โ He said with a friendly smile.
Without missing a beat, Cyrus would lift his gaze and nod to the gentleman as he dropped some coin in his hat. He was always more than grateful for people's donations and had made sure to acknowledge everyone that had given to his cause. It was this male's weapons which would draw his attention and after a brief glance, Cyrus shot him an additional smile in gratitude before continuing his performance.
With such elegant attire, it was clear this individual had to be of a high ranking importance within the city as it wasn't very often that civilians who weren't travelling hunters or warriors carried weapons. Cyrus would have assumed the man was perhaps a Guard or a Sentryman, but having been moved on by thugs claiming to have been such in the past, he wasn't certain. "Thank you," he would take a moment to rest his fingers once the song had come to an end, "It's just something I've perfected over the years," His eyes glanced briefly down towards the coins in his hat, counting them by sight only before setting his guitar to his side, "It's so nice to entertain such generous people," he took a moment to slip the coinage into a pouch on his belt before looking back to the male, "Often you have to watch your back...but this place feels safe," it was meant as a casual conversation piece, but Cyrus was certain that word must have passed around about the attack by now - whether or not the male would entertain him with an informative answer was to be determined, "How would one go about settling down here?" He liked playing for the civilians, but didn't want to have to rely on busking to gain his coin,

โMOOD โฌ โ Troubled โ โLOCATION โฌ โ Exiting Shifter Classroom to go to Market District โโCOMPANY โฌ โ -- โ Sand took a bid for freedom after Ten maybe twenty minutes of staring at the classes grand oak door. With no Professor guarding the doorway, Sand decided to give herself the day off, not in the bids to skive off of her schooling, but to see what type of help she could get. Sand knew by sitting tight that this danger would not just up and vanish, she needed to take action now! Slinking out of the classroom in a flurry of speed she would find freedom using her wolf form to slip out and venture the markets, knowing that alone she couldn't have the desired strength, the lone wolf decided to see if she could garner someone's attention like a guard perhaps.Though there was the slight chance she would be ferried back to the Academy, with maybe an escort, Sand knew by doing nothing she would only drive herself to another sleepless night, in the Streets of the market District she knew that by searching and from experience of being on these very streets, living in rough conditions she had learned that somewhere around there would be a guard on patrol. It was then that melody entranced her and drew her attention before it stopped and there before the minstrel that played, a guard with hair as vibrant a red it sat atop his head like fire, to contrast this he had a black tail with ears to match, Indeed he looked foxy but more to the point he was an armed guard. Shifting out of being the white wolf Sand neared them and ran her fingers through her mane of white hair " Hey FireFox! you with the pointy stick can I perhaps talk with you? it won't take long ..I hope to spend just a moment of your time and then you can return to duty or the like" she spoke her tail swaying rhythmically behind her most likely wafting her scent around as she looked at the guard for an answer.
Reynard nodded at the musicianโs words โ yes, Eoana was a relatively safe place. He liked to think it had a lot to do with how he ran the City Guard. As a rule, he required his guards to be active in the community; to create relationships with the people to build trust and to know that various happenings of the city. Overall, it really worked. Mutual trust meant that if there was a crime, the citizens felt comfortable coming forward to report it, not to mention they were confident that they would be aided.
โWell, the merchants are always looking for extra help โ itโs sporadic work though, nothing really solid. But if you were looking to settle down and plant some roots, the City Guard is always looking for able bodied men to help protect the citizens.โ He didnโt know what type, but he could sense that the man was a shifter, like him. Shifters had a certain smell that set them apart from regular people, and this man had it. Reynard liked employing fellow shifters โ he felt a kinship with them and liked having fighters that could go hand to hand and take on an enemy in their beast forms when needed.
โMy names Reynard Balgaire, Iโm the Captain of the City Guard. Holding out his hand in greeting, he shook the manโs hand with a friendly air. โIf youโre serious about settling down here, Iโd be happy to give you a shot on my team โ or at least run you through some trials to see if you like the work.โ
Reynard had been about to ask the musician his name and a few other questions when he heard a femaleโs voice call from behind him. โHey Fire-Fox! You with the pointy stick, can I perhaps talk with you?โ Heโd been called many a name over the years, but โFireFoxโ was certainly a new one. It was likely a jab at his crimson hair - one of his most striking traits. Scoffing at the comment, he shook his head as he turned to look at the owner of the voice.
As his gaze fell upon the shifter female, his eyes went a bit wide. Swallowing hard, his mouth went dry and his heart rate increased. Dressed in an outfit that could be accurately described as โprovocativeโ, the female looked positively mouthwatering. White hair, ears and tail, pale skin, striking eyesโฆpetite to boot! She was gorgeous and certainly someone he hadnโt had the absolute pleasure of meeting - yet.
Nearly forgetting his name for a moment, he shook his head a little as he came back to his senses. โIโm sorry, I was a little caught off guard there. What did you need to speak with me about?โ As the female swayed her tail, her scent wafted up to his nose, further filling his senses. Where his mouth had once been dry, it now watered. She smelled amazingโฆHe didnโt know where this girl had been all his life but he knew that he wasnโt going to let her get away easily.
"Cyrus Marshall," Feeling it only right to introduce himself as well, Cyrus would take the man's hand in a firm, yet considerate handshake - one that would give the slightest hint he had strength on his side, yet show he was also able to control it...well, 98% of the time. "I would be more than happy to take you up on your gracious offer if you think I have what it takes." He would have waited patiently for following questions, but Cyrus's attention was swiftly turned towards a female as she addressed the Captain as 'Firefox'. At this point, his eyes would momentarily flick up towards Reynard's fiery-red hair, then back to the newcomer.
Saying nothing as the hint of a familiar scent crossed his senses he took a moment to look the female over, then glanced away. Sure, he was single, but Felicia was still a strong feature in his mind and so he rose to his feet and turned for his pack, ensuring everything was there - including her necklace - before starting to put things away.
As he had a moment to think, Cyrus almost cursed himself for almost immediately taking the Captain up on his offer, but at the same time, what else would he have done? Sure, he had made enough coin to pay for a comfortable bed and a good meal for the night, but where would he have gone when the sun rose the next day? To another town or city which could spurn his efforts to pay for the next day's travel and send him back into the wilds penniless? No. He had to make a fresh start, Felicia would have wanted that - Besides, the city seemed more than welcoming to him, he just had to prove he was worthy of the role.
The thoughts of losing control and becoming feral again were far in the back of his mind now, the full moon had passed and he had just under a month away from the next one - by then Cyrus hoped to have either come to peace regarding the initial incident, or found somewhere safe to ride out the transformation so nobody around him would come to harm ever again...

โMOOD โฌ โ Troubled โ โLOCATION โฌ โ Exiting Shifter Classroom to go to Market District โโCOMPANY โฌ โ -- โ
Sand looked puzzled as the guard looked dumbstruck. No one ever looked at her that way before, though her wording had not been intended as an insult she was literally calling him a hot fox, which was probably going to get her in deep trouble. As his eyes wandered over her form she somewhat had a feeling of Deja vu, Gin had looked at her in a similar way in which she had not been sure how to react to, now it was happening again and Sand still did not know quite what to do as her cheeks burned. Watching him shake his head and adjust his posture she could only wonder why, but his scent gave him away, a scent that showed this fine guard up to be infatuated or in a cruder term- in heat.
Bashful, Sand attempted to convey the information that she had " A-A guard caught off guard? but a guard's usually ready for anything usually ...i-important b-business in the forest" oh yeah that was a good start, she thought in her head, he will really misinterpret that one " w-what I mean was, I was witness to a students condition after something assaulted him, in the forest ...the assailant was not captured and I just cannot sit around idle whilst my friends get hurt..it worries me so I am asking to be escorted to the captain of the guard so that they may put in place safety procedures to help and protect the students of Eoana...If you require further proof then you may question Professor Gannon" she paused and bowed her head looking towards the minstrel " I apologise for my rudeness for interrupting your conversation good sir" the minstrel smelt familiar but it was strongly masked by the scent of the guards hormones going haywire, looking back at the Guardsman who was drooling.
A hand moved to his mouth as she used her sleeve to wipe it away as her eyes locked upon his vibrant green hues, they were striking just as much as his fiery hair, her tail was having a mind of its own, getting her own self together she moved back " sorry you were kinda drooling Firefox" or was that hot fox, his clothing was modest and professional and with his swords and being a guard she knew without a doubt he could handle himself which may or may not benefit her in what aid she needed " c-careful you might stain your uniform we wouldn't want that" his scent was powerful she would give him that, pungent and hitting her like a thunderbolt striking her down and making her feel giddy, it was not like the smell that Soeka gave off when he was around Gin, it was more Radiant and intoxicating that it was making her fidget a bit on the spot, what was this feeling? it was certainly not a discomfort like wanting to run from a skunk, instead, she felt quite feverish that the rose in her cheeks was about as bright as Rudolph's red nosed glow.
While Reynard could listen to this female speak all day, not to mention the fact that she was a serious piece of eye candy, hearing her speak about the attack in the forest drew him back to his senses. Wiping the corner of his mouth with his sleeve, he nodded. He had to wonder if this girl was a staff member at the Academy โ Assistant to Gannon perhaps? Had he sent her to look for him or was she acting on her own? Either way, he wasnโt complaining in the least.
As their gazes locked, he offered her a charming smile. He found that he liked this female, even if she was a bit skittish. But to know that sheโd been looking for him, the Captain of the Guard, gave him a bit of a confidence boost. Looking her over as she fidgeted again, he could tell that whatever scent he was throwing off โ likely a musk meant to attract her โ it was affecting her. This was a good sign for himโฆ
โYouโre in luck, beautiful. Iโm Reynard Balgaire, the Captain of the City Guard. This is Cyrus Marshall. We only just met but heโs one hell of a musician. Not to mention that he might become a guard himself in the near future โ only time will tell.โ Many thought that being a City guard was easy, but it was more involved than people thought.
"I was just on my way to the Academy to meet up with Gannon Noble and to question the witnesses about the attack. Would you mind escorting me to him?โ He knew that the female couldnโt refuse, after all, sheโd come into town to find him, right?
Looking back at Cyrus, he offered the shifter a friendly smile. โWould you like to tag along or shall I meet up with you after I see to this lovely lady?โ He didnโt want to be rude, especially if the male wanted to become a part of his team. But he didnโt want to assume anything about the guy.
"If you don't mind, I might just tag along," Cyrus nodded, smiling at the Captain's comment about his skill as a musician. He had already gathered his things ready for taking his leave so it was just a matter of choosing his next destination, "I happened to catch a glance at the Academy earlier in my travels and must admit I'm curious," if Reynard was going to meet with the Witness as well, it might just be worth him following - even if purely for his own benefit - Cyrus could only hope he hadn't done the student any lasting harm whilst he'd been under the influence of the full moon and so to see them alive and well would help clear his conscience some at least.
"I've already gathered enough to ensure I am fed and with a place to rest my head this evening anyway, so no reason to continue the show, unless purely for the entertainment of the crowds," At this point, he would once again make sure he had everything with him before slinging his guitar onto his shoulder and making the simple preparations to follow the pair towards the Academy. "It might be an advantage getting to know the new territory anyway," he smiled, it wasn't hard to notice the small spark between the pair and although he would be acting as 'the third wheel' Cyrus knew it was perhaps the only chance he'd get to visit the academy for the time being.
"How might we make the journey?" he was curious, yet confident that if the only other option besides taking a carriage or walking was to take on his Shifter Form, he would suffer no ill from the decision to tag along and happily oblige if that was what was decided.

โMOOD โฌ โ Flirty โ โLOCATION โฌ โ Market District โโCOMPANY โฌ โ Hot Fox Reynard, Cyrus โ The Charming smile of Reynard begun to relax her. The Skittish feeling based on both Reynards musk and the reaction he gave towards her eased gradually as she begun easing up a little till he called her beautiful, the introduction of both himself and Cyrus, caused Sand to offer her hand in friendly gesture, although her heart would skip a beat if Reynard took up her hand " I am a student of the Academy, Otsanda Bardou, although I am highly flattered by your comment, is it not improper for a Captain to call their escort beautiful, though I do feel safer knowing I have an adorable Captain showering me with words, Hot fox, I'd like to know who is escorting who" looking to Cyrus now she smiled giving a playful grin, " yes I heard his music whilst lounging around in wolf form I do enjoy music, its said to tame even the savaged of beasts, your music is fantastic Professor Lerato would enjoy it I am sure!..as for how we arrive it is up to you both I have no preferences on which way we choose to journey, I'm sure your training as a guard will prove fruitful if the Captain of the guard has faith in you do you travel often? you look well weathered Cyrus" she asked Cyrus and looked back on Reynard Now knowing Reynard's name she had to stop herself calling her Ray of sunshine, though the thought was there.
She couldn't refuse to escort them, there had been a reason why she wished to enlist the guards help, " I will gladly escort you, in fact, I know those you may wish to question, Though you find me lovely ...I am a very... bad... girl, I should be in class but the Professor had yet to turn up..but the good news is I've found you, Captain Reynard" There was no denying she was attracted and it was obvious by her acknowledgment of his gestures that she was flirting with him, especially in the sultry tones of her voice, warm like honey. Reys Overpowering scent even dominated over Cyrus's scent making him the Alpha in this situation not just by his duty status but that of his fragrance which was making her animal instincts go into hypersensitivity as her tail flicked every now and then as a hint of her attraction.
Nodding at Cyrus, who accepted the offer to tag along, Reynard turned to smile at the lovely female. โIt seems you have an escort.โ To his surprise, the beautiful female offered him her hand in a friendly, polite gesture of introduction. Reaching out, he gently grasped it, his thumb lightly caressing the back of her hand as he did so. He would have drawn her close and kissed the back of her hand, but he thought that would be a bit too much for a first encounter. โOstanda, a lovely name that suits you to perfection.โ He knew he was laying it on a little thick, but he couldnโt help it. Beautiful women were his weakness โ shifter females in particular โ and if Reynard had to paint his dream girl, it would be the lovely vision standing before him.
He reluctantly relinquished her hand as she turned her attention to Cyrus to compliment him on his music. As she spoke to the other male, he took the opportunity to let his gaze wander over her magnificent form. She was petite but athletically inclined. Her lean muscle told him how strong and agile she was, but she was still soft in all the right places. Her curves drew the eye and he found that he could look at her all day โ she was pure perfection. It wasnโt until she turned her attention back to him that he drew his gaze back up to her stunning eyes.
Smiling, he nodded, glad that she was willing to escort them. But then she said something that sent a jolt of awareness up his spine and a light blush to his cheeks. โI am a veryโฆbadโฆgirlโฆโ Those words alone did things to his heart and mind that he shouldnโt be thinking about while on duty. Swallowing hard, he nodded, trying not to show how much her choice of words had affected him.
The good news for him was that Ostanda didnโt seem to notice his blush โ or if she did, she didnโt point it out, thank the Gods. But he was pleased to hear that she was glad to have found him. Personally, Reynard was thanking his lucky stars that she hadnโt run into another guardโฆGiven the way she smiled at him and the lovely tone of her voice, he suspected that she was flirting with him. But, it was too soon to tell, for all he knew, she was like this with everyone, but he hoped not.
Smiling wide, he held her gaze. โWhy donโt we walk to the Academy. Itโs a beautiful day for a stroll and if we stay in these forms, we can chat as we walk.โ And he could watch her hips sway as she led the wayโฆ
Cyrus had experienced love at first sight himself, but to watch another seemingly experience the same, it felt rather different, if a little awkward. Still, he held his tongue, taking note of the female's name before listening as Ostanda mentioned how music was known to calm the savage beast - his mind drifted for a moment at that point as he wondered if that might just be something to try next time he turned, but he quickly realised there were other matters at hand and returned his attention to the conversation.
He would nod when Reynard suggested they walked - secretly he was content for that option, it was indeed a beautiful day and a walk would give him the opportunity to learn the routes around the city at a leisurely pace, rather than spotted glances at a run. Also, he could maintain the secret of his shifter form a little longer.
Cyrus would decide to walk a pace or two behind, allowing the pair to lead the way and continue their chat whilst joining in occasionally with an answer or two when asked - he was happy to follow as this meant he could take a little extra time to adjust to his surroundings, whilst getting a feel for the place.
"So, the Academy," he would walk alongside them, waiting until they had finished talking before asking his question. It felt only right to join them seeing as though they were travelling together - he stood on Sand's other side, almost creating a barrier of protection if they were to meet anything unpleasant along their way, "Do they just let anyone in? Or do you have to be specially selected?" he was curious as in his past, one or two of his fellow villagers had claimed to have been invited by the academy, but he couldn't be sure if they had actually reached their destination, or used it as an excuse to leave the protective circle that was the village...

โMOOD โฌ โ Flirty โ โLOCATION โฌ โ Exiting Market District to head to the Academy โโCOMPANY โฌ โ Hot Fox Reynard, Cyrus โ Reynard had one of those s**t-eating grins. The kind of ones that made fathers suspicious, mothers seething and girls wondering what filthy thoughts were running rampant across their minds. " E-Escort?" Sand's offered hand was taken up by Reynard, she would then feel his thumb massaging the back of it making her soothed by the caress as his words tickled her ears they twitched, her name having rolled off his tongue as if she had offered up a juicy freshly caught rabbit. A side glance would catch him drinking in her form, he did look thirsty and that scent of his really made it known! catching his blush before he tried to compose himself to stare into her eyes "why aren't you just a ray of sunshine, don't be blushing too hard though, if those cheeks get any redder id be able to fry an egg or two on them" she winked at him as she tried to silence the pounding of her own heart that drummed in her ears. Reynard would swallow hard and as tempting as it was to acknowledge how thirsty the guard was, she tried to be subtle yet failed immensely. Though when you're stood as close to a male who smelled strongly of his musk and blatantly showed signs of attraction it was all the harder to show restraint, though she had never had this attention before she didn't quite know how to act that she just tried to play it cool. Hopefully, not making him think she was disinterested in his flirty advances, after all, he was attractive, his flame red hair made him look so unique and his words and smiled made her putty in his hands especially when her name rolled off his salivating tongue.
Captured in his gaze she felt like Reynard was undressing her with his glance, tracing her to his mind perhaps? Not only was she flirting with him but she was truthful too. With Reynards suggestion of walking to the Academy, her heart skip beats more than ever, a soft whimper escaped her lips till she composed herself " A walk would be great then we can converse on the way, I'd really like to know more about you but are you sure its okay to leave your post unattended?" she asked not that she thought the villagers would be in trouble but that she did not want to get anyone in trouble. As Cyrus asked if they let anyone in Sand gave a smile " I have no know a more accepting place to belong to, if it were not for the academy I would still be on the streets and no doubt the captain of the guard would have captured me and slung me in a cell...the academy provides me sanctuary, after I lost my home and parents I had no one now its like I am in a big family...besides what with Reynard with us I am more than sure we will be allowed inside" thinking about selectin she would continue " no I do not think it is about selection, I was just plucked off the streets by an Professor"
Reynard didnโt mind Ostandaโs light teasing in the least. She was charming and enchanting in her own way and he found that he could listen to her all day โ teasing or no. Her wink sent a thrill through him and made him smile even more.
When she asked if it would be alright for him to leave his post, he smirked. โOf course. I was on my way to the Academy to meet with Gannon Noble when I ran into Cyrus, and then you, lovely lady. So all is well. Iโm not expected anywhere but at the Academy today. If theres trouble, my men know where to find me.โ With Otsanda as company, he was willing to spend the whole day and then some walking around the Academy talking to witnesses, as long as she was willing to escort him.
That being said, the trio headed away from Cryusโs little spot and through the Market District. While Cyrus and Otsanda chatted about how the Academy chose their students, Reynard hung back a pace or two so he could observe Otsanda as she walked. As heโd suspected, her hips lightly swayed as she moved. He didnโt know if this was how she naturally moved or If it had something to do with the heels she wore, but either way, he loved it.
He was sad to hear that Otsanda was on her own โ an orphan if he wasnโt mistaken. It was rare for family groups to be so small, his family boasted six members in his immediate family alone, not to mention all his aunts, uncles, cousins and the like in his extended family. His family was practically a clan, but here was Otsanda, alone. Reynard had to wonder if she would be interested in eventually becoming a part of such a large family groupโฆ
โI'm glad to hear that the Academy is taking such good care of you, Otsanda. I'm sorry to hear about your family.โ His words and tone sincere, he hoped that she wasnโt too lonely being the only member of her pack, a lone wolf as it were. Maybe, given time, sheโd rejoin a pack and thriveโฆHe could only hope one day she'd want to join his.
