tab Extending his reach to the surrounding air, Kosuke could feel the tension rising in those who had gathered thus far. He always did dread the feeling of it, somehow it always made his hair frizzle in those kind of places one never saw until right when they got home. Although he supposed that should be the least of his concerns at the moment, what with the precipice of change dangling in front them like a cliff. Kouske treated the challenge the same as he did everything in his life. With a proper flippant perspective.

Digging deep in the sleeve of his robe, the Airbender retrieved a tiny little teapot and some spark rocks. Just how he kept the white-painted kettle in such pristine condition was a mystery to all but himself. The flower-adorned heirloom was his go-to for bringing levity to any and all situations, and here would be no exception as he placed it neatly upon the ground along with bits of kindling that were made to be easily lit by the spark rocks they came with. "Now now, let's not get full of hot air." The Airbender quipped out loud. With everyone having thrown their hat into the ring, Kosuke chose this as his moment to do so as well. If he was going to die here better it is with no unspoken words on his tongue. "With how much talking we've done already, surely you could have explained your intentions by now." The Airbender addressed Raan directly now. "I'm sure that if we all sit down over a nice cup of tea, you'll see that perhaps we white lotus types are more reasonable than you think. Reasonable enough that we might be willing to hear your thoughts on just why you believe this avatar will repeat the convergence, while saving a few lives the process." Kosuke knew how his words myst have sounded to the others, but the way this Raan had chosen his words, it left the usually playful Airbender suddenly more cautious about his moves. He never did like tying himself down anyway, his goal was only to the people, to life, not because he believed in some avatar.

The words of the 4 benders were met with laughter. The rumbling of Chen Wan stilled amidst the roaring voice of Ye. "So you prove your very words are false with every breath. It was your words of tyrants that I echoed. Your promises that you broke. It is easy to claim that atrocities committed were done with a heavy heart when you struck suddenly without seeking another recourse. You sought to impose your will through force, it is your first and last recourse. We did not listen because you did not speak. Did you listen to the cries of the people as they begged you not to destroy their home? Or when your men killed innocents? Those that survived spoke of what was done in the name of your much vaunted 'survival'. You claim justice when the people I have had to fight to keep the citizens safe and alive IN THIS VERY CITY WERE RED LOTUS. You did not talk at Omashu, you attacked. You did not talk at Ba Sing Se, you attacked. It is the true monsters who callously sacrifices innocent lives while claiming moral superiority."

Ye had been ready since before they replied to his initial volley of words. Ye Xiu might be big (even if Chen was bigger), but sometimes a subtler approach was needed. He had softened the ground around but not directly under Raan's feet. Her fiery intimidation had helped mask his own movements. His quiet preparations as he subtly sculpted the terrain with a surprise or three.

Now a different rumble began, as Ye turned to woman in red. "Do not claim to have pursued diplomacy when you do not say why Shee La will repeat the Red Lotus' folly? You have no time? You had literal years to come forward to share and explain what you claim to be necessary. And that's not including the four you've had since Omashu. Your words are like you, nothing but hot air. Care you do not burn yourself with your twisted views."

There the two sides seemed to be prepping for battle, with the one in blue threatening Ban. When a man on his side (for a lack of a better descriptor), sat down with a flower adorned kettle and repeated Ye Xiu's thrust of hot air at Raan. And then politely address the fact that still these four refused to explain themselves. He liked this man he decided to himself. This flamboyant man seemed ready to tell the truth and not wave it away like these masters. Ye Xiu had never cared much for arrogant morons, one of the reasons he was no longer with the army of Ba Sing Se.

Still, he knew that hostilities would erupt now in light of Ban's and the White Lotus' refusal to step aside. So he would counter-strike. The moment they would move to strike, his blow would land. Not at Chen Wan as many likely suspected but at Jiyoo and Raan. Let the Bold be Bold. Take out the support of the house and it would crumble. One move to disable Jiyoo's weapon, the other to handle Raan herself. He didn't like the twisted look he had observed, it reeked of an atrocity waiting to be allowed.

So that's it; peace talks were just over like that? Had they even started? To be honest, Xiao was having trouble following what was going on. Two different lotuses, four different types of benders, and like... five or six people shouting about the Avatar? It was all enough to make any delivery-boy-turned-revolutionary-conscript's head spin.

Whatever; he didn't have time to even try to decipher this mess. Whatever he got roped into it, it appeared to be coming to a boil. Angered shouts and ultimatums began to fly through the air; it was only a matter of time before rocks and whatever else these masters could muster did too. Xiao had to be ready for whatever was about to go down, but he couldn't make it obvious he was preparing. With a few subtle moves, the boy loosened his stance, sliding his feet around in neat semi-circles. As he rolled his shoulders, the solid stone beneath him loosened its bonds, breaking down into fine grains. To the uninitiated, this would be a nearly impossible to spot set up... but he wasn't dealing with the uninitiated. From the sounds of it, these were capital "M" Masters. All Xiao could hope for was that the Red Lotus would find the loud and boisterous benders among his company as primary targets.

Some hero he turned out to be. His first fight and already hoping he doesnt get singled out...

So many words. So much time spent in a deadlock, neither side really understanding the other and a GREAT deal of assumptions on both sides of this whole thing leading to a greater divide in this land than between the Earth Kingdom and Kiyoshi Island. The corruption ran so deep, so far beyond the four's ability to convey with words alone. All of them saw horror in their own ways and maybe that would have been enough. Each of them had read prophecy in the bones of the dead, and the actions of the living reverberating around them. Perhaps explaining that would be enough. It wasn't at Omashu... where the Tale of Chen Wan the Peaceful came to an abrupt end.

The King of OmaShu was a man of the people. He was so deeply loved, so caring of his people. After the Red Lotus approached him, it was clear that simply talking, even to reasonable enough men and women, would not work. They were lauded as madmen, cursed and cast out. It wasn't long after that. Chen made a choice then and there: they'd find Shee La one way or another, and if it took show of force, uprooting the very foundation of the complacent and ignorant than... Que Sera, Sera. And whatever must die, will die so people don't have to keep dying.

Neveretheless, Chen Wan the Bold had only one thought before the coming slaughter, either them or their opponents: One life to save a thousand.

The Scholar Ye Xiu was a loudmouth, to say the least of it, and had she not already marked her targets Raan would have bent a blooming flame so intense his tongue would be seared along with the rest of him in an instant. Still, the group did very much hear his words, and for some, their hearts grew heavy that in a few ways he was right. Ba Sing Se had suffered. People had died. Damn it all, they didn't do their best to try diplomatic measures...

Due in large part to Jiyoo being so fatalistic and Raan such a hot temper. Even Si Yun had been reluctant to offer them peaceful recourse for very long. None of them slew the masses with a smi- well not with a meaningful smile upon their faces.

And, for that matter, they weren't solely at fault here for what they'd chosen.

If they kept repeating that line, maybe it would become true eventually.

History may yet see them justifiable, anyway. To that end, they couldn't give up, couldn't try to block that future. Not this time. The words of Mara, though, gave Si Yun himself enough pause to respond in a moment of rare extrospection. "You're a thinking girl. Hold on to that, and pray that you see wisdom in what I am going to tell you. The very moment that I gave up my hope of peace, and turned my back on the teachings of Monk Gyatso, and the rest of the Air Nomads was when I learned the harshest lesson of all. Sometimes, there really isn't another way. No sudden, new way for us to weasel-eel our way out of making hard decisions. Stand strong in your beliefs. Survive today, and you may yet understand. And... also, your stance is too loose."

Jiyoo took note of the issue in her stance, and before she could correct Si Yun, Raan went off the rails.

"Whatever, I'm done talking." Raan said after the silence got to her. "What comes of this, in the end it doesn't matter if you're little army can't muster itself to stop us." As if that were the catalyst they needed, Si Yun moved with a grace and speed that should have surprised the army at large with it's speed. Blink, and you miss it as the man pivoted one one foot, a step forward, and loosed a gust of wind with a dancer's grace from his hands. Except, that isn't at all what happened... No, instead it felt like the air was snatched from ahead of him, and the reason he'd stepped forward became clear as a veritable gale yanked towards him from behind the group. It was strong enough that several of the gathered army were knocked to their feet with it's suddeness. From behind, some of the boulders that the White Lotus army brought, and the barrels of water beside them, were pulled. All from a single motion that landed Si Yun standing with his hands as if he were hiding a ball.

The army managed to brace themselves in seconds, as this was little more than a warning. Raan, knowing what was coming, launched up on a jet of fire, and inhaled deep. Jiyoo stabbed her tendrils into the ground and held her ground, and Chen for all he was worth, merely entered the traditional earth bending stance. When Si Yun pushed forward with her hands, the gale that had came towards them was reversed with such force that Ban, whom had already acted with a Master's reflex, was nearly toppeled as the wall of earths he erected with a quick minded stomp of her foot was entirely crushed. Her hands, strong and held fast ahead of herself, kept the debris from becoming even more projectiles as the wind slammed into her army, dragging Jiyoo forward, deafening all against the force of her push. Raan, in the air, was flung forward willingly, propelling herself even fast and landing behind the army as the blast of wind died.

Her eyes were on Asla and Kai Leng, staggered from the impact of the wind at her back all the same, hair blown completely out of place but her focus on the two keen. Familiar.

Almost familial?

Raan allowed the army no recompense, inhaling as she gave a chop, something that would cleave a head from shoulders, with her hand and with an exhalation, the energy in her body gave way to a searing wave of fire specifically threatening Asla, Kai, and Kytrnn, but everyone at the rear flank as well. The movement was so clean, so sudden and sharp that it was hard to believe the simple movement produced so much fire, something that bisected the very air still dying down ahead of them. Asla's keen reflexes, and Kai's veritable nature as a prodigy ensured that they could react quickly enough to avoid it, but to save the less versed Kytrnn? Their fire nation entourage still being battered by the White Lotus?

Jiyoo, too, had to take advantage of the chaos. It didn't go unnoticed that someone else was trying to steal the water from her, but she couldn't place who it was before Si Yun had acted. She wasn't flat footed, like Kai Leng had been when she landed. Hers was a volley that focused mostly on the army at large, closing that space with the wind at her back to easily reach her prey. The tendrils, all six of them, acted as she ran forward into the fray, swatting half a dozen soldiers hard enough to bruise ribs, and descending upon Ye Xiu to give him the moment to counter attack that he wanted. The frigid tips of the tendrils came at him directly from the front, with little in the way of grace or the nicities therein. All the same, her hands were extended, drawing water from the barrels that were supposed to be for the White Lotus. Not yet, she didn;t have the wherewithall to attack with them yet. But unless interrupted things would get hairy fast.

With such chaos, Ban was far from put off still. She managed to stay upright, but she found herself needing to play defense. She stomped again, closing her fists and drawing them inward to rip up the ground below Chen Wan, and keep him from beginning his part in this whole endeavor. He managed, from that distance, to just barely counterattack, sliding backwards on the earth and shoving an open palm, sending the debris flying into the fray.

And so, the trial began.

As the tension in the air continued to ratchet up, with harsher words being exclaimed by the large man among White Lotus and others among them making a pitiful attempt to deescalate what was obviously coming to a head no matter what, Marama found herself being directly addressed by one of the masters. As he spoke, she listened. The flame inside her began to flicker as a candle in the wind. She too knew of hard decisions, having been forced to choose between death or an exile that also almost assuredly meant death. His words touched her insulated heart and did much cause to doubt within her.

Though when he incorrectly pointed to the perceived flaw in her stance, the flame strengthened. Perhaps there was hope here after all. As events continued to unfold it would appear to her that the Red Lotus attacked first. The breeze unleashed by Si Yun at first made Marama quirk a brow but then as her eyes processed the continuation of his movement she realized that something else was at play. Though having never encountered an airbender before, she had not the experience to preemptively act against the incoming attack. Her only saving grace? She was not with the main host and thus was positioned on the outer edge of the incoming gale. Still it caused her to stumble as she was nearly knocked to her hands and knees. A quick burst of flame from her hands aiding in stabilizing her body. As she regained her composure, her eyes processed the battlefield. Two of the Red Lotus were now mixed among the White, leaving the airbending master who had spoken to her and Chen Wan.

Attacking the firebending master or the waterbending master seemed too risky. If she missed, others would surely die from her attacks. So her attention turned to the one whom had spoken to her as he was currently not otherwise engaged. Two fingers upon each hand curled back to touch her palms while two on each remained extended. Her arms moved those hands in a circular motion as she took a deep breath to aid in the burying of her thoughts and emotions. Touching her fingertips together before thrusting outward with one hand, Marama unleashed the strongest bolt of lightning she could muster. The energy arced out from her finger tips in a brilliant display of shining ferocious unstable light as it traveled towards Si Yun. No doubt fighting like this would exhaust her quickly, but if she wanted to live there would no holding back.

After unleashing her attack she quickly ran to reposition herself more off the the side. If she could draw him into a one on one fight, it might raise their collective chances. Would it put her at more risk, oh most definitely. Despite her earlier fear, when push came to shove Marama was braver than she gave herself credit for. This girl had crossed the ocean all alone, surviving storms, hunger, and thirst. With her back up against the metaphorical wall, she found her courage once more. "Your words have reached my ears, now show me your conviction!" she called out with an unnervingly even voice.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The young water bender had never been in a battle before, but his wits were sharp and his instincts on point. Something about the first wave of wind made the hair on the back his neck stand on end as Kateru was shoved forwards, by the pushing breeze and the larger bodies stumbling for balance around him. His stance broken, the water he had slowly been gathering was released from his control, and it spilled out loose from the orderly cracks he had been keeping it in. Bodies jostling and confusion abound, this was no calm before the storm, yet this trepidation was also not the same one felt when a sizable force was suspected of merely being a distraction. No, rather, the pulling tide of wind brought to the child's mind a story his mother told him from her own youth, of a strange tide that receded to the ocean's depth before returning moments later as a colossal wave. When he looked into the empty space between Siyun's hands, he thought of the ocean. The movements of the other White Lotus as they prepared did little to ease him.

His sense of what was to come was good, but to have such sense and to be able to use it were to naturally different things. No matter how warily those blue eyes stared from beneath their curtain of white bangs, eyes peeled so that he wouldn't miss the air bender's actions a second time, simply expecting did little to help prepare Kateru for the incoming storm. The gale unleashed upon the army, and everything happened in an instant from that point on. Kateru was blown back. His light frame would have meant he was sent flying through the air if there weren't other, heavier bodies he crashed into, no doubt creating a domino effect at some point. He didn't know how to hold himself down in this storm, and he could do little more than scrabble for some sort of hold; foothold, handhold, elbow-hold, anything; as the world twisted and turned around him. He clutched the bag that held Bozu to his chest. How he managed to find a hold of it, he did not know, but he was grateful nothing. If nothing else, he was going to at least make sure that he didn't crush his companion.

His return to earth was not graceful, but at least he managed to avoid the hard stone floor thanks to someone else's bigger body. Unscratched, save for a nasty gash on the side of his head from a flying teapot that crashed into him, the water bender scrambled up without further ado. A quick apology mumbled to whoever he had fallen into, then Kateru gave a dog-like shake of his head before raising those pale blue eyes to regain his bearings of the battlefield. He had been pushed quite a ways back. Fire blazed uncomfortably close, but keeping his cool, Kateru focused on his original aim. Swiftly, he retook his fluid stance once more. Returning Bozu's bag to where it had been and... with a teapot in hand. He wasn't sure why he was still holding the thing that nearly gave him a concussion. He... He felt bad just tossing it, so he quickly slipped the kettle's looped handle over the handle of the umbrella on his back. He returned to his water bending stance and, with gaze trained on the water bender wracking havoc in the front lines, seeing her draw water from the barrels even as she laid down an onslaught that left no space to breath, Kateru felt both awe and urgency. He had to think. Think of something to stop her.

Not knowing if he could succeed, but knowing he had to do something, Kateru started fighting the woman for control of the precious resource. As one of many, he could focus where she couldn't. Taking the water from the ground, both what had been there and what had been brought over by Kateru, and all of the water in the barrels that had yet to fall under another water bender's influence, Kateru spun his arms upwards in a circular motion around each other as he took spinning steps through the army. The water followed his movements, rising into the air as large and small streams alike to collect into several disks of floating ponds over the battlefield, each 5 feet in diameter and drizzling a light rain from the water collected. Small pockets of the army would feel the cold touch of Teru's healing rain as he set up these spots of relief throughout the battlefield.

Then, he moved his focus to Jiyoo's water. His steps forwards from before setting him within range now, the young waterbender dared to take the challenge. With no subtlety this time, Kateru reached forwards with fingers' curled, as if they grasped the distant water, then dragged his hands back like a swift current. His arms arced forwards to reach out again, and like so, he pulled back once more, entering a tug of war with Jiyoo to fight for the water she had stolen. Smooth, repeated motions. Though, basic and, compared to a master like Jiyoo, almost laughably unpracticed. His only saving grace was, again, that he had fewer threats to worry about than she.

Mass Restoration
The user, now a master of the healing arts, may heal anyone in a small area. The circle is approximately 5 feet in diameter. This can heal sprains, minor fractures, all burns and all cuts (gashes). This is done by hovering a large amount of water over the area and letting water gently drizzle down on the area. As soon as the rain touches a living object, it becomes immersed in a soothing feeling.

•[A World of Life]

This is the most important technique in all of waterbending; you must absolutely learn it in order to control water. You will learn this by picturing all energy and life as a whirlpool, and revolving your energy and focus through this pool of life. The water will respond to your tranquil energy and the desire of your heart, and the water will flow. This very simple technique can be used to redirect water techniques, and this technique grows more and more powerful the more powerful the bender who wields it. This technique allows you to move water, including water from opponents, and direct it to an area, an important task.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Ever wondered what it felt like to be a pidgeon-dove with an Eagle-Hawk lining up to snatch you up with it's Talons? Before Asla had even spoken, Kai was already rattled when she happened to accidentally look up and meet the eyes of bending master Raan Xen. Marama had called out, and so had so many others that the young prodigy could hardly keep up. She, for all her worth, just kept a brave facade up when Kytrnn spoke to her. "Yeah, I know. That's probably what scares me the most, besides that Master Raan... I think she was looking at me." Her slow descent alongside the benders at her side had made Kai's inner spitfire want to rise to the occassion just as much as the rest of her demanded she drop all this bravado and run like hell.

Heat never bothered her, not when she regularly surrounded herself in fire. Today? She was sweating, and the heat was bothersome. Still, as the masters formed their battle line, instinct made her step just a single pace forward, almost in line with the firebenders who were organizing themselves for battle as well. A gulp formed in her throat when Si Yun answered Marama, and the lot of them finally acted.

Kai, eyes on Raan, missed Si Yun's deft pull, and even at the back of the group her footing was immediately thrown off as she stumbled forward. Before she could think to act, respond to Raan's lifting into the air, she saw the wall of stone raise... and be absolutely destroyed by the wall of stone. She didn't have time to wonder how bad it would have been if she were hit head on, and even as the people ahead of her took the brunt of the attack Kai Leng found herself inexplicably rag dolled backwards for a second. She rolled along the ground, feeling pain that would only worsen in the coming days, but had to right herself quickly. Raan landing behind her caught her attention, and as the searing wave of flames tore towards her it was all she could do to match that attack with one of her own. She pushed off the floor, rolling forward to stand, and slam down one leg with a jet of fire that she hoped could do more than bisect the attack. "Asla!" she called out for backup, confidence in her plan low to say the least of it, and then her mind went to Kytrnn, wishing she could afford to even cast a glance to find her.

Her forehead hurt.

Dangerous was right, and her eyes had to remain on the biggest threat ahead of herself.

Sear

Crescents and jets of fire are only a few examples of bending available in this style. With sear, the bender is capable of creating a great line of fire, which groes in height and ferocity as they grow in power. Slices or chops with both hands are what generate a Sear because they need to be more finely tuned in order for the flames to resemble a blade of sorts. The line is always thin, long, and tall.

                                                        tab
tab It was a pity really. Kouske could see in their eyes the path that they would follow. That the more these masters hurled their insinuations back and forth, the likelihood a non-conflict oriented solution would present itself diminished. This was largely the reason why the Airbender felt no surprise at the familiar tingle that signaled Si Yun's attack. Well, that and it was rather easy to tell when a style you've spent so long mastering was being used against you. With a cool sigh over what was likely to be the loss of his favorite tea kettle, Kouske left the heirloom behind in a leap that carried him high in the air. If possible, the Airbender preferred a way around the gale than to match its force directly.

Though even at his great height, Si Yun had not achieved the title of master for nothing, and the twisting tornado yanked on his form. True at least, that his efforts might have spared him the dangers of an army all collectively losing grip on their weapons, Kouske still had to contend with any larger objects that were thrown in the air as he was. For this, however, he was prepared for. A shield, born of compressed wind, spun to life around his body. Hopefully deflecting any danger that came his way.

(Left to your discretion on if it works or not).

Assuming that fate was kind to him, Kouske would correct himself while still in the air. The position granting him the great leverage of observing the whole of the battlefield at once. Something that was only further fueled by Marma's lightning assault on Si Yun. Hoping that this would buy him time to command the skies uncontested, the Airbender made full use of his advantage to prepare an attack on Jiyoo.

Already hard at work, stealing their water, and dispatching white lotus soldiers as easily as turned over tortoises, but most importantly; already fighting with one of the other lotus members. “Pardon my interruption, but it looks as though you could use some help!” Kosuke quipped playfully to the vaguely recognized swamp bender. A gust of wind, not unsimilar to that which started this whole event, loosed from the Airbender's fingers. Its localized vacuum effect was meant to yank the water bender into the air with him.

While he doubted the woman to suddenly grow wings to survive the fall, it was also equally unlikely that she would be so easily dispatched. Creating an opening for Kateru with an on the fly attack was the best he could hope for in the heat of the moment.

User ImageWinds, an utter gale, buffeted the army and the loose gathering of benders from affiliated sources. The Fire Nation Sergeant couldn't feel it, but he knew the signs of the elements around him being rent and spun from their natural state, this wind coincided with the leap of Si Yun, and grew worse from a massive pull to a sudden shove against their forces that separated him from his sister. Several among their ranks formed together and held firm as others flittered away in the storm. Asla condensed his body into a low stance and looked for the errant Air Bender amid broken stones and flowing water.

Kai Leng's voice caught his attention and turned the tortured man's head on a swivel to see the wave of fire, exacerbated and shot through by Kai Leng's own flame.

"Kai!" Was all he could muster.

In anger, Asla reached out to the flames through his condensed stance and pulled them in as he threw a kick upwards just past Kytrnn, his own flames thrown back with force into the gale and through those of Kai Leng and Raan. The Fire Wall cleared the area, already a massive burst nearly the width of a city street at creation and burning to the skies, fueled by the errant Air Bender it would only be stronger.

Anger permeated every inch of his character, his face contorted, his voice grew grave, and his motions more direct. The soldiers under his command that were caught in the initial blasts of the return fire between the various benders attempted salvation through various means. Most simply shielding themselves through circular deflections as they fell back, but several were overwhelmed by the quadrilateral motion of three powerful fire benders and the wave of air pressure. Each man and woman who succumbed to their battle further fueled Asla's ire, these were soldiers who came at his and Kai Leng's request to a situation the Fire Nation had yet to formally recognize, but accepted out of duty.

Today would change that, for better or worse as the Water Bender, Jiyoo, dove into the crowd with her tendrils whipping the forces apart like flies.

Just what had they come to face? Asla questioned internally.

"I will burn you all out." The Sergeant growled as he landed his kick and his hands splayed out on either side of his body, two fingers pointed in either direction away from his core.

Fire Wall

One of the ultimate defenses of Fire Bending, the user aims a kick high in the air and a large wall of fire erupts from the ground in front of them, as wide as a street and as tall as a two story house. This is able to block attacks of equal or lesser strength, though an equal strength one will cancel it out. This skill can also be followed up by a pushing motion, fueled by aggression, that sends it moving forward moderately fast, threatening to burn up everything in it's path and capable of destroying non chi based assaults.

Even before the first attack, Kyy knew she was out of her depth. She was yanked forward by the Red Lotus' air master, and then promptyly sent flying. Her shoulder hit the ground hard, but it was better it was her shoulder and not her head. Kai landed somewhere near her, both sent rolling from the shockwave. She didn't even have a moment to stop the world from spinning before Raan tried to flamebroil her. Scrambling up, stumbling from the loss of her equibrillium, Kytrnn panicked for a second. Her heart pounded in her chest, even after Asla saved her by meeting Raan's fire with his own.

She was terrified, a novice, and in a situation where she was most definitely going to get herself killed. Gritting her teeth, the water bender picked up a few pieces of debris from Ban's destroyed wall. With the mediocre prowess of someone who spent her childhood skipping stones across the sea, Kytrnn let loose one chunk of stone at Raan's head through Asla's fire wall before ditching off in to the reminants of the city, hoping to serve as a very annoying distraction and give Asla and Kai a second to get their bearings. Once in position at a safer location, and definitely if ignored, Kytrnn would chuck another rock at Raan's face. If followed, she would continue through the city.

Kytrnn was still off balance, and mundane, but this she could do. She could ignore the panic threatening to choke her for a second and do this.

                                                                  User Image

All it took was a simple leap and Ye was already moving, one twisted in place like a dancer, and Ye's foot moved in tandem, a wall did not rise, but tendrils of stone, wrapped around him. Grounding him against the gale that sent others flying.

Chaos erupted, soldiers of the White Lotus went flying and the masters all struck. Their speed took Ye a little off guard even as he had expected it. Some of his preparations were as stable as the loose dirt that he had prepped. Still, he wasn't toothless. Even as Raan flew forward he grasped with one hand and a wall, while not fast enough to protect those in the front, managed to defend the bulk of the White Lotus who were off balance. The other grabbed the shards Ban had stopped and turned them into projectiles towards Si Yun.

Even as he did, his other foot twisted opening pits for the water barrels that had been sent flying, they fell into holes he created and a quick chop sealed them under slab of stone. Or... more precisely, crushed them. He didn't seal the barrels so much as destroy them. He wasn't a fool, simply sealing them would allow Chen to easily reacquire them. A quick and bold move by Ye while Jiyoo beat her way to him through White Lotus fighters.

He had fought enough water benders to now Jiyoo was the master here, cutting off the supply would do wonders to minimize her effect. She went through half a dozen men, her tendrils of water that were suddenly rushing towards him even as he enacted his next move. His was a counterstroke, the tendrils that had rooted him flew outwards in an arc to intercept the tendrils and drive into Jjiyoo. And in all likelihood it would have merely been a clash of elements if Jiyoo's tendrils hadn't warped as they were grabbed by another bender. Ye Xiu's counter became all the deadlier when Jiyoo lost control of the tendrils as she reached for barrels that no longer existed.

Ye would have liked to then turn his focus on Chen, but Jiyoo would not be that easy to handle. Even as the tendrils flew he was spinning away from his first position. The ground beneath Jiyoo began to churn and spin. Even a master, deprived of her shield, losing her footing and with no back up spear would find this situation tricky to maneuver.
