 Amber had gotten the invitation from her own family about a ball they would be hosting, or more accurately, Alex would be hosting. Normally she wouldnt be attending such an event, but because of the situation she felt that she would need to be there. As she got to the palace she smiled thinking about the fact she would see her brothers and sisters again and that it would be nice to converse with others in a different role then she normally did. As a priestess she often would commune with the goddess for the people that came to her with troubles or asking for blessings for their family. Usually these were blessings for a healthy child or a good growing season. Many often asked for the safe return of loved ones from the war with Thalassia. Tonight however, she wasnt a priestess, she was fulfilling a role as a princess. Of course if someone came to her with a request for the goddess she wouldnt deny it, but it would need to be done at a later time. Once she arrived in the ballroom Amber looked around spotting her brother Alex who seemed to be speaking with some unknown man. She didnt want to interrupt so she looked at who else had arrived. A few women were standing around either talking with each other, eating, or inspecting the ballroom. She saw that the crown prince from their allied kingdom had arrived and she smiled. It was good to see that he had arrived safely, but she didnt she the princess yet. Was she arriving later or still getting ready? As her eyes scanned the room she spotted a man off by himself and decided she should attempt to be a hostess as well. Or at least ask him how he was enjoying the ball so far. As she moved closer she gave a bright smile and though how best to greet him. He looked like one of the royal guards for Istarazil so she didnt actually know who he was. Instead, she decided to just ask how he was enjoying himself. "Evening, wonderful event tonight dont you think?" Dress

 Damian let out a long annoyed sigh as he pulled at the shirt he was made to wear for this ball that he really didnt want to be a part of. He growled and cursed under his breath about being forced to wear a monkey suit but he was at least happy to know he wasnt the only one that had to cover his bare chest. His older brother looked like he had to don a shirt as well for the formal occassion. Well, at least he should be able to disappear at some point unless his retainer caught him sneaking off and away. What could he say? He was a young hot blooded prince with a rebellious streak and didnt like the stuffy formal things that his brother had to deal with. Why should he stick around for the boring ball when the whole family seemed to be showing up? He would much rather be sneaking around the city or getting into some form of trouble. As he came in, Damian noticed his brother talking to an attractive if somewhat unapproachable looking man that didnt seem to be from around here. Perhaps he was one of those nomads looking for work due to the war? Would certainly be interesting to talk to him, but not when Alex was there with him. As he though about this, he saw his sister Amber speaking to another foreign looking man. So, the priestess wasnt all work and no play after all? He smirked and wondered if his sister was interested in the man or if she was trying to be polite. It was still fun to think that Amber was going to try and talk to the man for her own enjoyment instead of out of duty.

 Princess Dianae finished dressing for the ball, well, having help dressing for the ball anyways since she couldnt exactly see what she was doing all that well. She knew roughly where things were and what she was doing when in her own room, but being in the palace she wasnt used to it made things harder. Her ocelot was helping her a little with manuevering around the palace, but she still couldnt completely rely on what was around her. She was using a lot of her magic to see where the walls and people were so she couldnt run into them, but now that she was going to be in the ballroom she wasnt sure if she was going to be doing much of anything but listening to the music and trying to stay out of the way. Following Fasha to the ballroom, Dianae moved around managing to avoid those that were already at the ball before she found a spot that was relatively empty and sat down fixing her gown so that she wasnt going to trip anyone or cause issues for others. Her pet and companion wasnt far from her, though he seemed to be looking at the buffet table and more importantly the seafood that they had managed to serve at the event. Dianae chuckled and patted his head. "Dont worry, Ill be sure to get something for you my friend. I promise." Dress

 Urbez Van NordenUrbez quietly turned to the voice which asked him if the event was wonderful. "Greetings" He said and gave her a bow. He knew she was one of the princesses of Ignius Aesmain. He then fixed himself. "The ball is fine my lady, I'm just not one for formal events, as you can see I don't even wear anything that a normal person would wear." He said referring to his shirtless formal top. He hated feeling that his arms were restricted, and it showed off his muscular arms. He smiled as he looked to her further. "I do have a question. Are there many gorgeous woman like you in this country?" He asked her playfully, wanting to have a little more fun.

✦✦✦✦✦✦✦♦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦♦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦Saoirse arrived at the ball feeling a little odd without her sword belt. She wasn't used to social events like this. She would rather be in an enclosed room with the realms trusted generals and greatest minds to discuss strategies and politics. Even though she felt out of place, she did have to admit to liking the dress she finally was able to wear. Her long white hair was put up into a messy bun with fly away curls framing the sides of her face. Tucked nearly in the bun was a bright fire Lily. As she walked farther into the room she was able to asses the people currently in attendance. She saw a few of her siblings and smiled when she saw Amber. She would hope to have time to talk to her sister later in the evening as she seemed to be starting up a conversation with someone. She would not begrudge her sister the chance at a social experience. She also saw both of her brothers and couldn't help but wonder if they were feeling just as odd as she was with the change of attire. She herself was used to rather light clothing that showed more of her body than this setting allowed. She set this thought aside and decided to try and enjoy herself if possible. Saoirse saw several beautiful men and woman and began to ponder who she would be practicing social graces with tonight. Her only hope at salvation for the evening would be if she was invited to dance. Oh, how she loves to dance! Just the thought brought a smile to her otherwise stoic demeanour. Dress

Amber smiled before blushing. "Call me Amber please. I prefer not having things be so formal, we are all people after all." She said sweetly before she felt her cheeks heat up even more. "I would suppose that depends on your taste in women. I dont think I got your name." She spoke wondering if he was just being nice to her or if he was truly flirting with her because he was interested in her. "Are you here with the prince and princess of Istarazil?" She hoped that he would be enjoying his stay while they were visiting. "If your uncomfortable here in the ball, perhaps you would enjoy a moment of peace on the balcony or walking around the palace? Unless you wish to remain here and keep an eye on Dimitri and Dianae." Dress

Urbez Van NordenUrbez gave her another bow. "The name is Urbez Van Norden, my lady" He said before returning his posture. "I am head of the Istarazilian Royal Guard" He said calmly and nodded to her. "I would much like to go out, I was ordered to try to have a good time" He said thinking that the woman in front of him was the almost the complete opposite of him. Urbez gently took Ambers hand into his and guided her outside onto the balcony.

Hearing his name she smiled once again. "It is a pleasure to meet you Urbez." So, he was the head of the royal guard. She thought he was, but she didnt know for sure. Hearing him introduce himself and his position made her think she knew him a little better. When he took her hand she was a little surprised before she followed him out to a balcony where they were alone, the sound of music heard in the background. Since it was night time, the air was a bit cooler so being outside would be rather comfortable. A gentle breeze blew the pleasant scents of desert flowers and plants in their direction. "So Urbez, do you enjoy being a royal guard? It must be a pretty exciting life." She was curious about what it would be like to be a guard or to do something that allowed for such adventure. Dress

Urbez Van NordenUrbez nodded to her. "It can be a very exciting life, but then again it can be a fairly boring life" He said as he slowly picked up a small rock off of the floor and allowed the rock to levitate off of his hand. He looked to her and smiled. "I don't know what I would do without this job though, My father was a member of the royal guard before him and my mother passed away" He said as he sent the rock flying into the horizon. He rather enjoyed the cool night air after how hot it had gotten in the day.

"I became a priestess to try and see more of the world then the walls of the palace." She said watching him float a rock in the air and giggled. "So, protecting the royal family runs in your family it would seem. I heard not many from your kingdom have magic." She said motioning to him manipulating the rock before she looked down. "I am sorry to hear about your mother, that must have been hard." She couldnt imagine what it would be like to lose a parent, and being close to her family, she didnt want to picture what could happen. She knew it would eventually happen, but not for a long time. "If you could do anything, if the world were completely open to do whatever you wanted, would you still want to be a guard?" She wondered what others dreams were, though she often heard about them when people visited the temple. "Have you been enjoying your stay here so far? If not, Ill see what I can do to make your stay more enjoyable." Dress

Urbez Van NordenUrbez nodded to her. "I have been apart of the royal guard since I was ten years old, training myself and my abilities to become stronger than I could dream." He said and gave her a genuine smile. "No need to be sorry, I am quite over it...I was young when I lost both of my parents." He said before fixing any lack of composure that he would have. He nodded to her question. "Yes I would still want to be a guard, being a guard is what I was meant to be I fee.l" He gave her a nod again. "Yes, I have enjoyed it, and much more so with your beautiful face to help outshine the moon tonight."

"Ten really?" He was so young! Though it made sense to have members of the royal guard start young to get the training in to be able to protect the family they were responsible for. She felt her heart go out to the man next to her as he spoke of both his parents being deceased. She didnt think he was that different in age from her, but she couldnt imagine not having either of her parents. "So, you fulfilled a childhood dream of being a guard. Thats really cute." She said before a blush crept onto her cheeks. "If im not mistaken I think your flirting with me Urbez." She said softly barely above a whisper looking to the moon. "Im sure a man as handsome as yourself has plenty of experience with women" Dress

Urbez Van NordenUrbez soon got a grin on his face. "You would be right if you thought I was flirting with you" He said as he took a step closer to her. "You would be wrong on the second part though, I've never had time to think about women, or have any experiences" He said in an honest tone. He had been much more concerned about the safety of the royal family over his personal life. To him he didn't need a personal life if the family was safe from anything. Urbez drew closer to Amber then gave her a gentle peck on the cheek. "I'm curious would your goddess be willing to grant me a wish, if I wished for you?" He asked her in pure curiosity.

H-he was flirting with her?! But why would he do that with her when he probably had someone at home? As he continued to talk, she looked surprised when he said he didnt have any experience with women or had time for them. "Surely you had someone that caught your eye at some point." She said before he moved closer to her. "The goddess grants many wishes." She said before she realized what it was he said and her hand touched the spot on her cheek he kissed looking at him surprised and a little uncertain. She knew that if he kept it up she certainly would fall for him, but when he returned home what would that mean. He had to guard the royal family and while she was able to stop being a priestess, could she leave the kingdom? It wasnt like she was planning anything, just thinking of possiblities. Dress
