Yet another person had stepped into the fold, a female elf from what Mayrae could tell. With that appearance she grew wary, as she herself was Drow, and the relations between said species generally weren't so optimal. In addition Mayrae seemed somewhat troubled upon hearing that there was no one with a hire for the time being. 'Well, that means another trip scraping by and hunting for provisions' At least the nomad was kind enough to tell her, so the least she could do was thank him for the honesty. Which she was about to when someone grabbed the male with the mask. Before anyone could react the poor guy was thrown off the cliff! Now she was a sellsword, but she had standards, that sort of thing was just downright wrong! Without a shred of hesitation she moved over to the cliff, sorely tempted to attempt to kick down the person who did such. "Madman!" She exclaimed, directed at Saruin.
The poor male had not even screamed over his impending fate, and had done well to at least save himself from falling. When he would look up he'd at the very least see Mayrae. Her own chain was more of a battle implement, and wasn't nearly long enough to reach the guy down there. She'd have no choice but to use the ability granted by the runes on her arm, obscured by the gauntlet. As if she had a deathwish of her own, she leapt into the ravine, yelling. "Let go of the wall! I can save you from within the shadows!" For she required shadows to work her ability, which could be found lower down. As she'd plummet past Narx, she'd grab him, whether or not he'd listened. Maybe the added weight would be enough to cause them both to fall, maybe it didn't. If it did, she'd wait until the right moment, where she touched the shadows present, and with a simple gesture of her left hand, Mayrae and her passenger would pass through the realm of shadows. When they'd emerge from their point of view, they'd be standing in the shadow of the farmstead, and she'd shoot a pointed glare at the guy who had thrown Narx.
In the occasion that Narx would not have listened, and her added weight had not caused him to snap loose from the wall, she'd make no effort, besides having a hold of Narx, to keep them from falling, and explain that she could jump between shadows, hopefully convincing the guy to trust her enough to let go, so that what she was planning to do would still come to pass. If worst would come to worst, she'd borrow him a dagger or two to climb up with.
Elowyn stared in surprise when the man ripped the mask off of Narx and kissed him. Considering the tension she had felt between the two, that was not the reaction she was expecting. Although, what came next better fit that tension, she was honestly expecting that even less. She stared, her blue-green eyes slightly wide with surprise, as the man sent Narx hurtling off the cliff. Elowyn turned her eyes briefly to the man, looking rather irritation. "Was that really necessary?" She was have tempted to give the man a piece of her mind, but with Narx's life at stake, that would have to wait.
This was just a brilliant way to start the morning. Elowyn rushed to the cliff side, as did the Drow. Normally she would have been wary of the Drow's presence, however now was not the time for old rivals and it appeared she was trying to help Calling on her runic ability, Elowyn called upon the Earth, forming a ledge for Narx to stand on. "Narx, are you alright?"
Ash's eyes widened when Narx got thrown over the cliff and then watched the others reacted before with a flick of his hand activated a Runic spell causing the edges of his cloak to light up slightly and he hopped of the edge after the drow gliding down alongside her as a back up as under the cloak his fingertips emitted a soft glow ready to use a spell the change there weight. Otherwise he'd make sure both of them where okay

O.O.C: Yeah couldn't think of anything else at the moment n_n"
"Go ahead and hit me if your able." "Guess you figured Mercy is off the table"
Madman?! was he? possibly he never gave it mush thought to the situation. "Let me put it the way you idiots will understand. I'm not the damsel in distress, I'm not your best friend, and Im not like all of you just trying to get by I'm the bad guy. More fun being bad than being a goody goody trying to save a wretched world like this. The world wouldn't miss one slave. " He chuckled darkly taking one last look over the edge before backing away from it for a second. "I'm not your team mate or your partner in Crime. I'm the one thats going to put this whole world on it knees, everyone will kneel before me. All hail your new god" he smiled to his self it was clear his ego was the size of the moon...pun.
"Oh it's steller friend to cause destruction with no end." he said giving Elowyn a smile if she asked if it was necessary. "And Oh it's thrillen to be a villain I could burn down a city and and watch them die.." he started laughing again as he picked up several large rocks and rolled them over to the edge of the cliff.
"Isn't it fantastic I see something I smash it. :3" he started rolling the rocks off the side of the cliff trying to nail the heros in the heads "And let me tell you why ~I've Always had a weakness for BARRENNESS AND BLEAKNESS, I rather find Genoside more so fun, kicking some one off a cliff is a unavoidable out come with a mind like mine." he put his hands on his head and in his hair laughing as loud as he could, he was mad but it seemed more on the focused side at times. Focused on hurting and or killing others.
He than looked over the edge and shouted at Narx "IF YOU DO LIVE HOW ABOUT BEING MY NEW LITTLE PET IT'LL BE FUN ~PLAYING WITH YOU~"
"You think you can spare me like I'm some Pawn?" "I am there mercy, I am there Vengace, I am Determination."

Narx was dangling from his chains staring up at the cliff's edge looking for hope, and then the newcomer, the mercenary's face popped over the cliff. Narx had only ever heard awful things about Drows, but when the face of the Drow appeared over the edge, he developed a fondness for them. If they were all as kind as this one, he could be friends with them certainly. Next Lady Elowyn's face crested the edge. She used some Runic to create a ledge for him. He was still stuck, but that helped take the stress off of his upper body. He smiled up back at his rescuers. The Drow then shouted a command at him that he could only partially hear. He understood the gist of it though. When she dived down and grabbed him he threw himself off of the cliff's face hoping whatever plan she had would work. Suddenly they both appeared with a slight thud in the shadows of the farmhouse nearby. This was a most confusing result, it must be some sort of Drow Runic ability. Narx sat down feeling dizzy for a moment. When he stood up he turned to the Drow, "From the bottom of my heart, thank you. That was a very noble, and brave thing to do for a stranger, and a slave no less." Once could tell from the wrinkles in his eye, that he was smiling under his mask."May I ask the name of my rescuer? I did not get to greet you when you first arrived before...I was kicked... also I may be a slave, but I have rather well off, and I would love to employ you for a time. I can pay you 13 silver slivers a week for the next month. I need all the help I can get out here."Narx was just out of hearing distance of the party by the cliff side. He wanted to go over and avenge himself, but as a slave he did not have the right. The right to retribution was in the hands of his Master, Lady Elowyn. Narx would motion for the Drow to talk with him as they walked back to the cliff. He must not leave his Master alone with such a wicked creature.

Ash of the Ryskke Skaglands
Ash had stopped above Narx and the drow and hummed a note as his golem flew out and knocked the rocks away until both of them vanished into the shadows, seeing this he smiled under his hood and quick with a wing-like movement of his cloak came face to face with Rift to whom he spoke calmly "Hmmm your odd to me as sometime you seem sane other like right now you are not and trust me among my clan we have seen madness and sanity in both extremes but you..." He left the rest hanging as his golem hid under his cloak wrapping around his arm as he drifted back onto the cliff and stopped his spell walking over to Elowyn and speaking to her "They seem to be by the farmhouse over that way should we see if they are okay ma'am?" he said with a slight head tilt
The Drow never had any time to notice the rolling rocks, the whole thing had blown over quickly, as Narx had heeded her words. Saving a random stranger, a slave no less. Her mother would turn in her grave if she were dead. Mayrae grinned mildly at her act of defiance against the principles she grew up with. Even after all the time she's spend on the surface, it still never got old.
She could tell the male was rather grateful for her actions. Well, it was all the same to her really, as she felt there was no need for a death by execution, especially without reason. Had this happened in fair combat she would not have lifted a finger. With Narx exclaimation of thanks, she replied "An honourless death as a waste of life." The female drow was shooting glares at the madman who caused the situation in the first place. He was lucky as she only took lives on contract. Then the slave started talking business, sparking some amusement within the Drow. His owner actually allowed this sort of thing? Well, she wasn't one to say no to a job. "My name is Mayrae du'Q-..." She interrupted herself, pausing slightly to think of a last name to use, before she continued "Shadowservant." Whilst her former house was prestigious and feared in the Underdark, it held no traction here, aside those knowledgeable. In addition she had stopped associating with them, as she was an outcast. Old habits die hard. The promise of coin was of course, hard to ignore. "Give me your name, and I shall be your weapon and shield."
Upon hearing the name of her would be employer, she'd consider it a contract, and she would gleefully attack the one with the god complex, if he gave her the impression that he was a threat to her employer. Mayrae would follow him back to the cliff, her dominant hand this time resting on the hilt of her sword, wary of the disturbing fellow who so obviously decided to be the bad guy. Retribution might be Narx's master's to claim, but it's very bad for business to have your employer perish.
Elowyn watched as the Crow Woman dived off the cliff, grabbed Narx, and Then landed in the shadows of the farmhouse near by. Now that Narx seemed to be out of danger, she stood up strait and stared at the man who had kicked Narx off the cliff. He seemed to be going off on some tirade about being the bad guy. When he was finished, she raised an eyebrow at him. "I do think you are being a tad bit overdramatic."
The voice of the monad then drew her attention. She nodded to his words and then began walking towards the farmhouse with him. Once there she gave an appreciative nod to the Drow woman. "Thank you for your help."
"Go ahead and hit me if your able." "Guess you figured Mercy is off the table"
As Ash spoke to him and commented on his mental state and madness he smiled to him "Wow Mr you made my heart skip a beat, I'm at a loss for words. Glad to know I'm a special case." He chuckled darkly looking the guy over. "My offer still stands how about we become better acquainted some time"
He ignored the rest of them and decided to leave blowing a kiss to Ash "Catch you later love~"He chuckled exiting the area and going on to the next down the road.

"My name is Narx, servant of Lady Elowyn. I am to provide and protect her with my life."Narx stated rather grandly. He was obviously fond of his master. Not in a romantic way necessarily, but he held her in the highest esteem."Well, you saved my life from being a waste, and for that I am thankful Mayrae. I am glad we will be working together for a time. I am not familiar with the Drow, maybe you can educate me later on your ancestry?"Narx and Mayrae met up with Ash and Lady Elowyn. The crazy man took his leave just then to. Narx stared at him as he left. He was unsure of what to make of this whole ordeal. Narx obviously needed more help protecting Lady Elowyn, and as this ordeal showed, himself."Lady Elowyn, Ash, thank you for your aid against that monster."Narx bowed to his master. Soon it would be time to head into the city centre, but Narx hoped for some good conversation between now and then. A grand announcement of some sort was to be given in The City of Twelve some time latter that afternoon, and Narx did not want to miss it.

Ash nodded in response to Narx's thanks and pulled down his hood revealing his white hair and slightly glowing eyes before he spoke to them all in his usual calm tone "I hope it won't be a problem if I accompany you all for a while, I will gladly help out in anyway i can during our travels and I did say to Narx I would teach him a couple Runic spells I know that could be useful" he waited for there response rocking back and forth on his feet
Elowyn gave a small nod when Narx thanked her. "Well of course." She also nodded when Ash requested to join them."I don't see why not." While it was true that Elves were sometimes known to look down upon other races, Elowyn had never really been like that. She didn't mind the company and she knew Narx would enjoy the company. Plus, it would never hurt for the nomad to teach some runic spells to Narx. They could both benefit from it.
"I'll be happy to inform you of all the reasons why avoiding my species is in your, and your master's best interest." She answered Narx's statement of interest towards her species. Mayrae clearly wasn't fond of her own species, and readily would advocate the sheer insanity of her people.
Despite her long time on the surface, gratitude coming from a surface elf was rare, let alone any form of acknowledgement. In the more crowded places she preferred to cover her face as to hide her identity as a Drow. She nodded back, in acknowledgement of the elf's gratitude. "The death of potential employers is rather unfortunate." she said, lampshading her status as a sellsword. The nomad showed his face finally. Mayrae's curiousity peaked, she hadn't come across many people who looked like this. It was of no true consequence though. "I'm not the one in charge. I've found a hire." She shifted her gaze to Narx. "I'll follow where you lead."

Narx nodded at Mayrae's words. He would take heed of them. Sometimes one's pasts are best forgotten and left behind. Narx understood this well. Though it took every ounce of him to do so some days. Looking to Ash he saw that he had a unique appearance that Narx thought was simple yet cool. The Nomads really are interesting people. "Ash we'd love to have you along! I think I could learn much from you." Narx liked this group. They were friendly people. He looked towards Lady Elowyn smiling. "Well I think we should head into town to collect supplies and see what that big announcement is about. After that we can head off to wherever you desire my lady."Narx started off for The City of Twelve. Along the way pulling out a tiny glowing cube and giving it to Ash. He then started to explain how he creates these cubes and their various functions. This one in particular exploded and created a field of mist with which one could hide in. Narx was happy to have someone to reciprocate with on his inventions.

xxx Fahim had to admit that he was a bit disappointed that it wasn't his turn yet in the tournament, but he also had to admit that holding the second round of the tournament in the city and it being a four way free for all was quite unexpected. He entirely expected something more conventional and it to be maintained within the confines of the Coliseum due to it's recent construction. He proceeded with the instructions to evacuate the area in order to allow the competitors their room. That left the two fey and Narx's hired hand to leave the area. In addition to a few who had already broken off from the group. Fahim could feel his hand beginning to twitch in the anxious way it did when he had an experiment he desperately desired to carry out or a new combination of runes or an invention he wanted to test. Fahim had a few things up his sleeve that he felt would revolutionize the world. Securing a spot as one among the Council of Twelve seemed like a sure fire way to obtain some of his goals currently out of reach and allow him to have influence over his homelands at the same time. In addition to these goals in mind, Fahim was really anxious to test out his battle abilities, as he knew a serious confrontation would face him sooner or later and though he had the voices in his head to guide them, nothing beat first hand experience.
