Iah walked around and looked at the different events. He had finished with his homework earlier and wanted to check out the festival ahead of time, one because he wasn’t sure Zillah could be convinced to come in the first place and he couldn’t get ahold of Amy. Admittedly this did worry him, but he could just think of this as scouting the place ahead.
The catch a sky fish game over there seemed a bit fun. The rules where rather easy as well, catch a sky fish with a net and depending on the color you won a prize. Iah tried out his luck and after a couple of tries managed to catch a black one. He got a giant black and white lollipop for his efforts.

Ugh Frey needed to escape from the evil that was the current essay he was working on, so he had snuck out without getting spotted by his roommate and decided to check out the festival. The festival he had told said roommate he wasn’t interested in going in. To be honest that was the truth at the time but the essay dragged on and on and Frey needed something fun to do. Considering most everyone was at the festival it meant that was where Frey was going to gravitate to.
Coming up on one of those toss a ring games, Frey tried his hand at one not really expecting to win. To his surprise he was handed a small little paper doll. Well it would be nice to hang off his balcony or window. In fact there were a lot of places he could place it and it was kind of cute.
"Paramedic, right." That wasn't quite the word he was looking for, but it wasn't a wrong answer, was it? Quilo giggled. He'd met Tarin's parents before--it made sense they'd be taking so many pictures. "Sorry it took so long. And sorry we weren't in the dorm! Our caretaker wanted us to head out early to beat the rush or something. I dunno. I guess I didn't think it would take you girls a while to get here."
Quilo nodded in approval. A lollipop, that was good. "Looks like we've all got good hauls. On to the next place!" With a laugh, he took the lead, running out towards another stall. This one was a ring toss--pretty simple. He scooped up a ring and paused. He wasn't always the best at these. Oh well. He aimed carefully and tossed it.
He did way better than he expected to! The fling landed his ring on one of the farther poles. The grown-up smiled and handed him a piece of cotton candy. "You also get a plushie," she said.
Quilo smiled and pointed out a green vespercat plushie. "That one, please! And thank you!"
Where to go next? Ustule looked around the field until she spotted something familiar--another turnip lantern. She smiled and made a bee-line for the other student. It was another freshling--a Geist, and he had just been playing at the beanbag toss. She took a deep breath and patted him on the shoulder as she'd seen other students and some of the grown-ups do when they wanted to get someone's attention. "Ho," she said. "I see you heve also chosen a lentern. I em Ustule. Who are you?"
Before she could register an answer from the other student, the game master was patting her on the shoulder. "Would you like a go, young lady?" he said.
He sounded friendly, and anyway, wasn't gathering prizes what this event was all about? She nodded. "Yes, please," she said. The game master passed her a bean-bag, and Ustule narrowed her eyes. Okay...time to aim...time to really try...
Ustule smiled as the bag flopped into the hole. She pointed out a delicate pink nezubat plush and a bag of skull candies. The game master chuckled. "Isn't eating skulls cannibalism?" he said.
Ustule gave him a smile. "Maybe," she said. "Thank you." She settled her prizes in her bucket and turned back to the Geist.
Oops, she'd gotten his necklace and crown mussed up! Sara stepped back and rearranged his accessories so that they were neater. The crown really did keep falling down. "Ah thank yer crown mahght be a little loose," she said. She stepped around the back of him and undid the knot that held it together. She frowned, crossing the ends to check the size, then knotted it back together. "There, should be a little tahghter." Even from the back, he looked so cute! She scooped up the end of Pest's leash and stepped back to the front. "Maybe we should leave a note with the lady up front--ask her t' tell Maria when she gets here that we're here and waitin' for her."
She slipped the hand that held the leash into one of Neptune's hands. "In the meantahm, how about a game 'r somethin'?" She pointed out a beanbag toss that looked pretty popular. "Over there, maybe?" She gently pulled her friend towards that booth, at which point she was forced to release him to lob a brightly colored beanbag through the air.
Her toss was rewarded with a little paper ghostie. She held it up to show to Neptune, laughed, and hung it from one of her antlers. "Whaddya think?" she said to him.

Turnip secured, he was about ready to leave when... Someone tapped him on the shoulder. They actually reached out and touched him without permission or even saying something first. He jerked away, and focused those intensely violent eyes of his on the offending toucher. A litch... one his own age, or near abouts by the look of it. He narrowed his eyes while he listened to her greeting... weird accent. He wasn't sure he liked it.
He debated just going off on her, he felt justified in that reaction, but... Vaden would probably hear about it and he'd get another lecture about being nice to people. That and he'd lose the "go into town to get ice cream" privilege he'd been working on. "Ganymede." Short, to the point, he could be done, right?
No....... Vaden would tell him to talk more.... ugh. The game master's question made him snort. Cannibalism. Sure. "Candy skulls aren't real, obviously." He rolled his eyes, then noticed a dart game. "I'm going there." He pointed, and then trotted off. If the litch wanted to talk so bad she could follow, yeah?
He waited for his turn, then managed to pop one of the bogus prize balloons. UUGH he had terrible luck! Oh well. He pointed to the gum, and then put it into his pail. Now what.... did the litch follow? He looked around...

Oh..! He waited patiently while Sara rearranged and fixed his accessories... already they were feeling a lot better. He smiled a bit and nodded a thank you. "Th--that's much better..." He adjusted himself a little bit for ultimate comfort, and then nodded at her suggestion. "I-- I agree. M-Maria will be able to f-find us but I think i-it would be polite." He took her hand when it was offered. It felt nice to hold hands with Sara... a little bit of heat tinted his cheeks, oh, how embarrassing...
Thankfully she lead him over to a beanbag toss game... this shouldn't be too hard, right? He waited for her to finish her turn, then picked up one of the beanbags..... He managed to at least get one in! That was enough to earn him a trick. He turned to look at the selection, and then pointed.. raisins were nice? But oh... oh no. The game master put the turnip into his pail..... he stared at it for a moment before murmuring a nervous "thank you" to the game master, and then turned to Sara. "Y-Your prize is really n-nice."

Korvau was so excited to play the games. So excited he'd charged on in after getting his pail, and hadn't even noticed that two of his friends were here already... He headed straight for the beanbag toss, but only managed to get one of the bags in. Darn. But, he still got a prize, so that was nice! He held his pail up for the game master to put something inside... annnnd it was a rock. Wow. Such a bummer... He flicked his tail, debating whether or not he'd just get rid of it-- but he felt a tug on his sleeve.
Turning, he locked eyes with Nex, and immediately burst into a large grin. "NEX!!! YOU'RE HERE!!" He set his pail down and immediately latched onto his friend in one of his tightest hugs. After a moment he let go and then picked up the pail again. "You look really cool!! Are you a vampire?? I'm a werewolf!" He giggled, displaying the extra fuzzy ears on his head and the fluffy bodysuit he'd put on. "Is anyone else here???"
Kieran watched their twin walked past their hiding place, followed by another pumpka. The Demon jumped out at their twin and roared at her, dressed up as a fuzzy monster. Yes, they played ranks on each other every once in a while. Kieran giggled as Phe made a squeak and then reached out and smacked them on the arm. "Sorry, sorry, I couldn't help myself." Kie said.
"Besides, I had to do something. Look what the first house gave me." Kie said, holding a rock out for inspection.
Madla looked down at her daughter and smiled. This was what she was hoping for as a parent, being able to be there for all the fun events. This was Anastara's first trick-or-treating event, and Madla hoped the young girl got a lot of candy and treats. "There's the first house, go on." Madla waved at the web covered door and watched her daughter scramble off.
There was always a chance Ana would get a trick, though. It seemed that half the nightmares around here took the 'trick' part in 'trick or treat' very seriously. She had heard several others complaining about getting rocks or nastee gum. Madla chuckled, remembering her own trick or treating last year.
Anastara ran up to the door and knocked. "Trick or treat~" She called. The door opened slightly and a hand popped out, dropping something into her basket. It was a glove full of popcorn. Ugh. Stale popcorn. Anastara tossed the bag away from her, not please and kind of throwing a tantrum. A huge fox came out of the darkness and dropped the popcorn back at her feet. Anastara squeeked and ran back to Madla, the fox following behind with the popcorn.
Frost ran ahead, wanting to be first in line to the next house. "Trick or treat!" He called, eagerly holding out his pumpkin basket to see what he got. A box of raisins fell into his basket. Well...it wasn't candy, but they were sweet and Frost didn't mind the raisins entirely. Frost popped open the box and ate a couple.
A large blue spectrefox came out of the dark and nosed Frost's hand. Frost handed over a couple of raisins and headed back to the street, fox trailing behind him. Oh boy, he wondered what his parents were going to think.
Something suddenly jumped out at her and she let out a rather long squeak and jumped off the bench dislodging the resting pumpka. Considering it was Kie, Pherein made a scrunched up face and punched her twin in the arm. "Geez dont do... ack no Ba'al down, dont face butt Kieran" and with that she was trying to hold back a rampaging levitating pumpka
Another year already, eh? Damn, time flies. He should probably check in with Yue and see what the plan was, or come to think of it maybe she was waiting for him to invite her. Crap, he was never on top of these things. He'd have to check, maybe there was info posted somewhere. The school was giving out trick or treat pails again, maybe there was something in there about events and the like. Locking up his dorm, he headed out to one of the rec rooms and snagged one of the free buckets and headed back to his room. Maybe he could just put it out in the hall like he had last year, that didn't seem to work too badly, actually.
Huh? Something was already in here, and not just a flier. Oh, sweet! The nezubat things were back, and he didn't already have this one. Kinda sticky though, wonder wh- oh god. Not the turnips again. Was this someone's idea of a prank? He tossed the nasty thing in a trash bin on the way back, making a note to clean off his new plush before adding it to the pile with the others.

Eclipse yowled from the bucket as a passerby dropped candy into it for Tayce, since she'd held the pail (cat and all) aloft with huge eyes.
Tayce reached in and patted the affronted vespercat, making a face as she saw the familiar orange and black wrappers. Phooey. Oh well. She sat on the ground with her cat in a bucket, wondering if it would've maybe been easier to remove the fuzzy intruder before leaving her room rather than just shrugging and taking her with.
While she debated what to do, Eclipse seemed to have made the decision for her, jumping up with a hiss and darting away. Panicking, Tayce stood up and was about to give chase when a blur blew past her and ran for the black feline. What was that?!
Running after them, she managed to grab a hold of the collar around the doggy's neck, bringing the both of them to a stop while Eclipse streaked away. Tayce knew she'd be back at the dorm room when she got there, this wasn't the first time they'd been on an outing and she'd run off for the room. But what to do about the animal she was grabbing? Where did it come from?
There was a tag on the collar, but no name or number or anything. It just said "Free to Good Home". Who would let a puppyfox run around by itself at the school? She had no answers, including what to feed it. Well, one problem at a time. She supposed first thing was to get back home and let Eclipse in, then decide what to do.

Raisins. Who does this? Old Nightmares with no sense of fun? Sighing, they dropped the box back in the plastic pumpkin with a light thunk. Lame. Well, they'd just use them for baking later. Oatmeal cookies weren't the end of the world, and maybe some of the bandmates would appreciate it. Raisins were pretty much only good for using in baking anyhow.

Ix meandered to her class, her bag of fabric and sketchbooks bigger than usual. There was always so much inspiration around this time of year, but her small frame made carrying this everywhere rather ridiculous. At least there was sugar everywhere to keep her going. Speaking of, apparently her teacher that had put a bowl of lollipops out for her students to enjoy. Ix plucked one from the plastic bin with a thank you before settling in, grateful to be depositing her bag and sinking into a seat.
And, of course, for the sugary treat. <3

Cracking his neck, Kaz stood up and stretched. They had a show tonight, but he wasn't sure what to make of these guys. It was the season for spooky after all, and his voice lended to that pretty well.

She probably would stay for very long, she wanted to get back home, watch movies and hand out candy to the kids. That and she had a couple of experiments set up to go off and be spooky when trick or treaters came to the door.
