Fae quickly shook her head, trying to think of a way out of this mess. "Y-you misunderstood; I don't like that series at all." An honest reply. "I meant... there's better within the genre. Ones that don't ******** up the folklore, force a stupid romance, and have a boring main character that has a static personality." Her response not only addressed his questions, but it also hinted that she was familiar with romance novels. It pretty much gave Erik his answer without being too straight forward about it; she wasn't about to go into extreme details on what she knew of the subject in order not to embarrass herself further. When she saw the confused expression on his face, Fae sighed with relief. That must mean he's not using his powers to read my mind. I can't imagine what I would do if he knew what I was thinking... She turned away to break eye contact with him, more so to stop such an awkward moment. "Of course..." Her voice dropped to a whisper as if she didn't want him to hear her. "I would hate for something bad to happen to you."

Erik smirked a little as she explained herself, watching her have a small panic attack as she explained other books. It took him a moment, but he finally was able to note that this would follow romance novels. "I see..Then I'll keep an open mind, since you're such a heavy advocate." He smirked and watched her turn away, seeing what looked like relief on her face. "Likewise..So if you're ever in danger, let me know. I'll be there to help protect you." He said as he lightly touched the end of her hair.

Fae nodded, already aware of this fact. She knew it wasn't him just blowing hot air or making a promise he couldn't keep... no; she had witnessed Erik, a high ranking full breed, stand up for this pitiful half breed's sake. Although it was in the controlled setting of a classroom, she did not doubt he would do the same if the threat was more severe. She was glad she could rely on someone in such a way. "Thank you. I will not take it for granted if it happens."

"You're welcome.." Erik said as he watched her, seeing how focused she had became in the silence. He smirked slightly and reached out, lightly running his nail down an exposed part of her neck, just to annoy her a little.

Rather than annoying the younger girl, it made her shiver. What does he think he's doing? Fae wondered as blush crept across her face. She didn't want to draw attention to it, though. "D-don't you have something better to do than be here? Like... a class, or something?"

"Fortunately class was cancelled. The teacher was feeling sick." He continued, moving slower and lighter. "Unfortunate for you, that means I can make the mess I was going to make." He chuckled and then heard the library open. His hand immediately dropped and moved into his pockets as a student looked through the library. She smiled at Fae and Erik, then caught sight of the badge on Fae. "Oh you work here. This is my first semester..Where would I find all the books that the teachers put on reserve for us?" Her eyes moved towards Erik once or twice before sticking on Fae.

How very odd... Fae noted as she observed Erik's behaviour in the presence of another person. Is it possible... that he's embarrassed to be seen with me? It was probably for the best that the other student had shown up. Intentional or not, Erik's words had seemed almost erotic to her overworked mind. And his previous actions hadn't made the situation any better. Just what exactly had been on his mind?

"Oh yes, of course!" Fae seemed more startled if anything. She honestly hadn't been expecting more students so she had put most of the books back where they belonged. "Freshman, right? Just hold on a second." She went off to the front desk only to recall she didn't have enough information. She turned swiftly, her attention back onto the student. "What is your major? And do you have a copy of your schedule? If not, could you tell me who your coordinator is or even the professor who sent you?"

Erik watched as the student focused on Fae now, ignoring his presence entirely. That was fine, his eyes allowed themselves to be glued to Fae for a bit as they spoke, admiring her hair and fair skin. He looked up at the top of her head, deciding he'd take a peek to see how quick she was remembering her job information. She seemed right on target for her first week.

The student rubbed her head a little. "I uh..I really don't know how to pronounce the teacher's name.....But it's the battle and instincts class..." She thought about it for a moment. "Well..it's got v at the end of the class title..Not sure if that makes a difference.."

Fae's eye twitched as she nearly dropped the books she was carrying. She reacted quickly to prevent her from doing such as she tried to remain composed. "Anastasia Romanov..." She muttered softly. "Romanov. Is that who you're talking about?" She spoke louder this time, trying to keep a calm tone. "If so, I would highly suggest considering your options. Drop the class if you value your life and GPA."

The student looked at her and raised her eyebrow, confused. A deep annoyed growl suddenly started before Erik peeked around the aisle. "She has Romanov." He looked towards the student. "Drop the class. Immediately. You don't need it, it seems like you do but you don't." The student looked between the two and felt confused. "Is...Is she a bad teacher..? You guys seem so...angry.."

"Bad... wouldn't even scratch the surface." Fae sighed and shook her head. Maybe the two of them had been unlucky and Romanov had changed. After all, she had been pregnant during their semester with her, so it was possible with the hormone change, she had been over emotional. Or she was just a b***h every day. "Last semester..." Fae started, "the both of us took her class. It was rough. Not only because of the content, but her attitude and manner of teaching. Go ahead and form your own opinion of her if you wish, but I can tell you from personal experience that I would never take another class with her, even if my life depended on it." She then paused to think for a moment. If she had never taken that class, she would have never became friends with Erik. Her gaze shifted to him as her thoughts deepened. They would have probably just passed by each other, never heeding the others' presence. It would have been unlikely for them to have talked in any other class. Even though it had been suffering for the both of them, at least they had suffered together... and thus gained a common subject to discuss. Not to mention, they had been forced in some pretty intimate moments in that classroom. "...although, I must admit... You may meet some wonderful people there." Fae said with a warm smile, now looking back at the student. As she mentioned 'wonderful people', she looked at Erik from the corner of her eyes, but only for a second before returning her attention to the girl.

Erik put his head on the bookcase, just annoyed as the memories flooded in. He looked back at Fae and the student as Fae went on to tell her to make her own opinion. "Her opinion is only going to end like ours, but I mean go for it, try to enjoy her. I did hear something about her occasionally dropping comments about how cute the baby was..So..I don't know..Maybe she's nicer now.." He shrugged. "She looks like a natural b***h to me though." He watched as the student winced a little as she heard the last piece, now taking the book from Fae and looking at it with worry. "I'll..I'll think about the class.." She looked back up at Fae as she spoke about the last piece about meeting people. It made her smile a little and she looked down at the book again. "Well..We have like a week to drop out right? I can try it..Then get out if it doesn't work out for me.." Erik had caught what Fae said and smirked a little, giving a wink but more than positive she had missed it because of the quick glance she gave him before looking back at the student.

"A little longer than a week." Fae said with a reassuring smile. "And if you decide to tough it out and need any help at all; survival guides, strategy books, texts about common weaknesses of the supernatural, or even some helpful advice... Do not be afraid to come visit." She figured she would be here enough of the time to catch this girl at least once if she planned on visiting infrequently. Erik's assumption had been correct, for the young hybrid had been too occupied with the other to catch him winking at her.

The student smiled and gave a nod. "Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. What was your name?" She looked at her name tag. "Fae...I'm Lena." She smiled and gave her a handshake. "Well thanks again!" She said as she quickly scanned the book to take out and left immediately afterwards. Erik smirked as the girl left and watched Fae as she returned to the aisle. "Uppity little one, wasn't she."

"What do you expect? She's new here. A lot of the freshman tend to be that way." Fae glances back at Erik with curious eyes. "Weren't you like that back then as well?" Of course he wouldn't be. He seemed the type to be going to school on his parent's coin. She thought it was more likely for him to have been that spoiled child that had a snooty attitude. Coming from a rich family, or so she assumed, he would have been uninterested in attending school, but would see it as a chance to be away from his parent's prying eyes. And judging by his actions, he was most likely a flirt. A big one at that. He may even already have a few girlfriends to boot. Although Fae had never actually seen him in the act (other than when he messed with her), she could still see how girls would stare at him with longing gazes or would giggle and whisper as he passed in hallways. She always did find it strange that he choose to hang out with her. He probably had much better friends, on account of being popular, yet he chose to spend it with the girl who constantly was tormented because of her breeding.
