Hello there! I go by Rain most of the time and have been around the B/C for over a decade and have been roleplaying for far longer. I've probably seen most of you in passing at some point or another, though I'm typically quiet and keep to myself or a small group of people I'm comfortable with. If you'd like to rp or have comments/questions, feel free to poke me though I'm rather slow at responding. Married adult life means I'm often distracted and juggling many things at once, so my time on Gaia is sporadic, as well as my rp (and my muse to rp)...

The Story So Far
Draven was a quiet and withdrawn youth, curious but too timid to ask questions. Instead he'd follow people around and just observe, either to the vexation or amusement of his 'victim'. He didn't seem to know how to socialize, but at the same time wasn't comfortable being alone.
When it came time to sort into a house, it was a toss up between Eldritch and Arkham for him, but Arkham won out since his obsession with mythology, philosophy and reading seemed to fuel an artistic drive rather than feed into itself.
As a freshling classes did a lot of good for him. The structure seemed to make him feel more stable and he adjusted well to the learning environment; eager to please his instructors and thirsty to learn. For awhile he had a habit of hoarding things he liked, even if they weren't his, and making little hiding spots around the school where he could hole up. Eventually he grew out of this compulsive need for security, though he'd be the first to admit now that he still feels much more comfortable in his own space surrounded by his own things.
For a while as a junior he had a bad spell of feeling angry and secluded, holing himself up and cutting off his friends on purpose. He found that being alone wasn't the answer though, but by the time he came back out of his shell most of his friends had moved on. The experience left him a bit burned by the perceived abandonment; something he still deals with from time to time. His school work suffered while he tried to find the reason for it all, struggling to see a purpose, and thus lacking motivation. Thankfully an instructor picked up on his issues and left a book for him to find that opened a new genre or reading for him that both made him realize he wasn't the first to feel this way, and thus wasn't alone, and that it was ok to ask these kinds of questions and not always get an immediate answer. Or that answers don't always come in the form of words. Draven started painting some of doodles, and then began playing around with canvases.
To this day he still hasn't made anything he'd want to hang up anywhere, but the action's therapeutic for him and offers a nice break from the rigid rules of life. There's a sense of freedom in painting he has yet to find anywhere else. He also took up music, liking the deep and resonating voice of the cello. He's yet to play for an audience, and he's just fine with that. He doesn't even know any songs really, but the sound gives voice to things he doesn't always have words for, and he'll often pluck at the strings while he's thinking, though he won't pick up the bow and actually play often; especially since he's not always alone in his room.
Now a senior, he's finally finding a sense of connection with others that he was unknowingly craving all along. Still socially unsure, he'll go to parties and events but not talk much, preferring the one-on-one approach or just quieter settings, but enjoying the energy of a crowd all the same. He's learned to laugh at himself and talk more, though most people only know his more affable side and don't get too close to his core. He often keeps even his friends at an arm's distance, though he seems open and welcoming. He's afraid of being anything less than cheery, unsure if people will accept all facets of him, and unwilling to find out. Though he would be very uncomfortable saying any of that out loud or acknowledging it in any way.
(Not a fan of the psych profile, does this need to be up here? Out in the open? Where people might fricken' see it?)

Draven's home
There's not much to say. It's messy and it's mine. If you wanna sit I can clear off a space, though there's not much to see. It would probably all be boring to you anyway. His side of the dorm is always messy and cluttered, normally there are books scattered about everywhere, notes to himself stuck to random things, pictures and scraps of something that sparked his interest strewn about; just chaos in general. Oddly though, there's very little dust to be seen. Everything's clean, just... messy.
One might notice the lack of a bed though. Draven hardly gets a full sleep but he'll push things off the couch to doze if his body demands it. Sometimes he'll nod off in his suspended bubble chair; he finds the movement soothing, though it's a rather cramped perch considering his wings.
Another thing to note is the haphazard attention to his hobbies. Sometimes painting will take center stage for a month or two before he shoves the canvases in the corner for who knows how long; half finished and mostly forgotten. Other times music will be his outlet of choice, though he's not keen on playing the cello with an audience which limits him greatly. He always seems to be half-way done with a book or three, and several notebooks and pads of paper seem to be used to varying degrees... and more often than not random pages will be used rather than some sort of order. His personal journals are an exception though, and are kept neat and orderly on the top of his desk.
On the opposite wall from his desk and marking the line between his side of the dorm room and the twins', there stands a glass and crystal tank with an open top. There's tunnels and perches for the flitterat trio, as well as a food dispenser that they've obviously figured out how to open. There's a water bottle as well, but it doesn't look very used. There's some scrap cloth as well that seems partially destroyed and random nests throughout the tunnels and dome rooms. The corner is taken up by a massive pet bed, obviously designed for a finicky Fennekit. Unfortunately it seems all three of the flitterats are curled up on it and sound asleep. Might explain why there's a white ball of fluff dozing in the globe chair hanging from the ceiling. You can see she's well-fed from here. Might explain the empty crystal dish next to the water bowl on the floor. You look around for the supposed wisp, but they're nowhere to be found currently.
You know I went all my freshling years without a pet, but then these guys just sort of found me. I'm pretty sure that's how these things go though. Scrap there's the smallest by far. Found her in the haunted house being picked on by other rats, couldn't just stand there and watch. I honestly have no idea how Creep got here. He's the troublemaker, I sometimes wonder if someone let him in as a prank and I'm a sucker for feeding him. Rook just kind of followed me around until I finally let him in, and now he acts like he owns the place. He's actually the only one that gets along with Shade out of the three of them. Er, Shade's the bundle of fat sleeping in my chair. Her highness is choosing not to grace us with her attention at the moment. Try again in the afternoon when she knows there will be food in her bowl. Though sometimes she'll get up to chase the rats away from her waterbowl. No idea why they don't like their own bottle, but whatever. Ether will probably come out from beneath the couch later while I'm reading. I... can wisps be shy? I don't know, man. Just don't move quickly around him. It. Glowy thing.

School Supplies - Back to School Event There's a few things that haven't been touched yet, piled up on his desk. Most of it seems scattered about the place though, and at least one pencil's already been broken in half. The erasers are kinda cute, right? Don't think I'll really use them though. I gotta find where that one notebook went, maybe I left it by the window in the hall again. Was it the red one? Maybe pink? ...******** class="spoiler-wrapper spoiler-hidden">
Plushie Nezubat Pile - Hallowed Haunt Event, Trick-or-Treat, Coffin Game, HH Tour 2, ToT Potion These winged balls of fluff just kept showing up all during the holiday. They've been tossed into his bubble chair, though they get moved around quite a bit. I'm pretty fond of the green one, since he was the only guy I won of the bunch. Though the one-eye was found in that creeptastic house and has a lot of character to him too. And they're the perfect size to pick up and lob at someone if they're being obnoxious.
Candy! - Trick or Treat 2014, Welcome Party ORP 2015 Drav's stash of goodies he keeps around. My loot! The gummy ones are for Yue though.
Haunted House - prizes from the HH Tour 2014 A weird box full of old junk. He'll sometimes go through it for inspiration while writing. Some neat and creepy junk from the Haunted House I went through. I want to know the story behind some of these.
Halloween Events 2014 - Ghost dolls from the HH Tour and ToT His weird ghost doll collection. Yikes. I... am not sure why I kept these. At first I had them on the ceiling fan until they started flying off. Well, until they hit my roommates a few too many times actually. Now they're just... here. Being creepy.
Halloween 2014 - Potions bought Here, but not used yet. Confidence Potion, Alluring Odor Potion, Potion of Rhyming, Potion of Reading Really Fast, Doodle Potion, Potion of the Past, Trinket Dye Uh. Don't ask.
