I'm not trying to be pushy or anything btw, I just like to double check that I'm on the same page as everyone else since sometimes I miss some pretty obvious stuff.

I'm pretty sure most of my RP friends are long gone from here, but I'll see what I can do.

Well, according to the description, they're talented enough to charm and deceive. I find that the best abilities to contribute to this are shape-shifters. Maybe they have malleable bodies (with a limited volume of mass, of course--just so they don't turn too massive). Maybe their original form could be humanoid in appearance, though as soon as they begin to understand features, they take on their own unique appearances. In order to avoid confusion, they could have a form of limited telepathy that allows only other of their race to recognize each other.

I'm unsure of what role or position to give my character, how do you choose?

In my profile construction, I've found a couple things to contribute to them. I decided to call their race the Ladon, which is a reference to a mythical creature in Greek mythology that had numerous heads. It's also a reference to how they seem to have a strong sense of nationalism to their way, and that they can take on different forms. Maybe they ought to be born faceless? That could be their true form.

It's extraordinary to be able to biomorph into other creatures, certainly something to make them infamous. However, I wanted to contribute a fitting weakness that adds to the reasoning behind their chaotic way of life. I think it would be appropriate if they were a people highly-dependent on devouring life force. They could possibly consume energy from living beings, hence why they actively pursue more planets full of life, water, nature.

I guess to separate the people in regards to power is how old they are. The older they are, the less they need to feed. They could have the potential to be practically immortal so long as they feed. Also, to keep them from being too strong, their birth rates could struggle, perhaps only 1/4 of a chance of successful reproduction with each other. They struggle because they need to feed, which is why they're so willing to commit to such atrocities in order to survive.
