User ImageYouroka really wanted to go into her big cat form. She did not feel comfortable walking into a place with moving vines. She hoped it wasn't a sign that the elves were around. She was trying to stay stoic, but it was getting hard. Seeing those images from before lowered her resolve a little. There was evil in this world. She followed behind Exceed.

Exceed lead her to the vines before he stopped, turned around, and grabbed her with his left arm as the vine grabbed his right arm, pulling him and her into the air and into the forest once more.

              • Energy Javelin(Beam Cannon) [ B ] All shots from the Beam Cannon are infused with the user's energy. If they are in a certain armor that changes their energy set, the shots are changed to match that new energy form. The user can charge the Beam Cannon for a post while moving to create an S ranked shot with a 20 feet knockback, capable of sending the user through the wall.
              • Constant Fire(Beam Cannon) [ C ] The user can keep the pressure going with the Beam Cannon by keeping the beam on the foe without letting go. The first regular shot of the Beam Cannon deals B ranked damage and takes B ranked energy. A constant beam from the cannon deals C ranked damage while consuming B ranked energy, allowing for 7 consecutive hits, all hitting C ranked.
              • Refraction(Beam Cannon) [ C ] Shots fired from the Beam Cannon are all capable of being reflected off of a reflective surface(Polished Shields, Mirrors, and Reflecting Barriers). This can be a good thing and a bad thing as the shots can bounce off of most metals.

Daryon gold and silver wings had seldom flapped all day as she cruised the clouds heading north from her country of Fronta, Southern Fronta to be exact, hailing from one of the few Temple that remained loyal to their patron god, Elessia. Cynthia was one of those that were loyal to her patron angel, regardless of what she did, or what they claimed she had done. She did not believe the stories even if they were part of the canon, for they felt simply out of character for a being that was so consumed with a sense of justice, but at the same time it felt oddly natural for her to have acted the way she did, if Michael was truly as powerful as the scriptures made him out to be, why would he fear defeat? Defeat to a being like him should have been unthinkable, if he actually feared defeat, did that mean that he was not as powerful as it was believed? The thought caught the armored woman riding the dragon by surprised and was treated with a shiver, as if this would push it away and cause it not to be so. “Forgive me lord Michael.” The young Dragoon muttered in Angelica. She sat on her beast on a saddle crafted from fine leather back at the Temple. Tied to the saddle she had her sleeping bag, as well as a backpack filled with many items, most of them trinkets of emotional and religious value; the bundle she had been brought into the Temple with, a piece of Daryon’s Gold and Silver egg, which was still warm to the touch, ten years after her partner had left it, a pair of hunting knives, two skins full of water, a compass in case she lost her way, although she did not think she would need it. While flying the duo went over Fraxen, she had never been to the city herself but had read about it more than once in the many books they kept in the temple library, it always seemed like a wondrous place to live in and although she had never walked through its streets, she begged Daryon to slow his flight as much as she could so the girl could get a view of the city, and while doing so she named all the monuments she could: The Great Temple of Michael, the Road of Kings, the Gates of the World… Oh how she wished she could spare time to walk through its alleys, to become familiar to its quaint streets, plazas and squares, and most important of all, with its people. But alas, she could not, she would have to make due with giving her life for them, which was something she was not against, while she would not be able to see Fraxen at this very moment, or for the time being, she would become familiar with other places, places that while under the control of her home kingdom and her liege lord King, were… not quite Fronta.

Kranila for example was the place she was heading to, rebellions were not unheard of there, this or that elf tribe was likely to rise up in arms and hang a Frontan soldier, or burn him, with these savages who knew what barbarous method they would use next, all because they opposed the fact that they were under control of his Majesty the King. Yet these tensions between humans and elves was in fact not the reason why she was going to Kranila, but because they were being assaulted by demons to the point where they were threatened with extinction. Now, the Frontan army had to sweep in and help this sorry lot after they sporadically waged a campaign against them, who knew how many good men and women died across the border at the hands of these elves, some of these elves were even holy creatures, sure they prayed to a different god, but the essence of the action to pray to that which is holy remained the same, regardless of which vessel of Lord Michael they prayed to, at least, that was what the Head Priestess would tell her class back when she was younger. That was one of the things she thought of once she neared the common border between Yuran and Kranilia. How she had gotten in this mess was a different story entirely. She had ventured off the temple on morning soon after early prayers to a nearby town where she knew there was a conscription office for the Frontan army. She parked her dragon on the outside of it garnering the stares of all the village people that had so often seen (or heard) the beast flying above their home while looking for a meal or a good fight, but those on the inside where so busy with their daily lives they hardly seemed to notice what had transpired. The blonde Valkyrie stepped inside without a care in the world and filled up a multi-page form where she had to describe her lineage, any prior fighting and criminal experience, and on the last page, she had to write down what faith she professed. It took her about ten minutes to fill out the form, which he handed to a rather fat old man that could scarcely fit on his chair. He gave her a cursory look, and without reading her application slapped on the paper with bright red ink the word ‘Denied’, which naturally angered the girl and the conversation when a little like this:

”Excuse me sir, what is the meaning of this?”

”Hmm?”

”Y-you denied my application without even having a look at it.”

”I don’t need a look at it. I needed a look at you. Go get a good husband, father some kids and be done with you.”

”Sir, at least give me a chance to prove myself sir. I think I would be a good addition to the army.”

”A girl, although tall and with good body, such as your self has nothing to give the army. I don’t care how good you think you are with a sword. Fighting is a man’s job.”

She gave an annoyed roll to her eyes, whistled loudly and simply said. ”Daryon.” Then, the dragon peered its head through the door and snarled at the fat man, who proceeded to jump from his chair and run back against the wall. She had never seen a fat man move so quickly, so elegantly, before. ”That is what I offer,” she said without a hint of shame in how proud she was of herself. The far army man, nearly shitting his breeches, searched his person, and then presented the girl a badge with the insignia of the Fraxon army, putting her as a lowly conscript, but it had been more than what she had before. ”Very well then, yes.” The man said once he had composed himself and cleared his throat before continuing. ”Miss Cynthia Seastar is it?” She responded with a nod, and he went on talking. ”As you might know, there are reports demons killing is Majesty’s subjects all along Kranila, specially the non-human kind and in an extension of his kindness he has ordered some of us to move to the front over there and work in coordination with the Kranilan forces to repel this vile attack.” He also wrote as he spoke, despite his backwardness he had a rather beautiful scripture, one of the most beautiful Cynthia had ever seen and she had come into contact with quite a lot; she herself had a subpar ability when it came to calligraphy, she had found she would rather stroke a blade than a pen, the ink she spilled therefor was not black, but red.

By the time the sun began to set she could see the mountains that marked the tri-nation border between Yuran, Kranilia and Fronta. The sun had a beautiful orange glow to it that extended the shadows of the mountains for what seemed for miles in the world below her, like fingers tightly gripping on to the earth as if they were a lover’s hand firmly pressed on the buttcheeks of his beloved, it was a strangely beautiful sight that she could not quite explain why it brought these emotions on to her, but it did. She then began her descent on the dragon, scanning for villages preferably on the Kranilian side of the border, so she could begin to become acquainted with the locals, the terrain, even if it wasn’t quite Kusana, it was something. Once she was low enough she could see the stone spears rise into the sky for thousands of feet, a couple at first, but then they went on for four, five, and even six, all around her these massive mountains seemed to want to pierce the heavens but were never quite able to, and at that moment she gave Daryon the order to rise above them as far as he could in an almost ninety-degree angle, as if they were racing the stone in a race they were assured to win. Then Daryon stalled, coiled his wings into his body and flew down as an arrow looking for its mark. Cynthia, already accustomed to his antics, knew he would do this and held on to her beast’s reigns so as to not fall. Just as collapse seemed imminent, he spread his wings and soared once more, onward through the mountains until the beast spied a small village at the top of one of the mountains. He circled it thrice, the first to make sure that Cynthia was comfortable staying there, the second, somewhat closer, to ensure that it was big enough to host the beast, and a third, much closer, so ensure that those that lived within it were not hostile to the beast.

The pair then descended on to the small village. Many children hid behind their mother’s skirts, most of the people there were women as a matter of fact, both elven and human. ” Do not be alarmed. I am just a traveler in need of lodgings.” She said at the top of her lungs, then she felt short of breath, she had read that this occurred when one traveled to higher altitudes and remained there, obviously this had not happened to her before. No one answered at first, some woman spoke to her in a language she could not understand, and when she noticed the young armored blonde did not comprehend, proceeded to point to a place that had the word ‘Inn’ written in Elvish and Common. She gave a gratuitous nod and began to walk over with Daryon by her side. ”Wait here, don’t cause any trouble.” She told the dragon, giving it a light pet on the snout. She then turned around and saw a hoard of children wearily looking at the dragon, and herself. She offered them a smile and crouched on the ground, while waving at them to approach. Once young brave girl did, she must have been around five years old. Cynthia grabbed her hand and with the other pushed down on Daryon’s snout so that the girl could touch it. ”Play nice now Daryon.” She said, the dragon agreed, and by the time she pushed open the door, there were young elven and human children all around, and on, her dragon. She of course had taken the precaution to grab her bag and sleeping bag before dismounting. She approached the front desk, where the first grown man she had seen was. He was black of hair and brown of eyes, clean shaven, and wore a simple brown shirt.

“I don’t suppose you speak common…” She said half expecting the man to spit pure gibberish back at her. ”Aye lass, as a matter of fact I do. What can I do for you?” She gave a sign of relief and searched her bag for money while she spoke. ”I’ll need a bed. And a place for my dragon. The stables will do, he doesn’t need to sleep inside, just a comfortable bed of hay if someone could make one for him. If not I’ll make it myself it makes no difference.” The innkeep laughed a hearty laugh and shook his head. ”Don’t worry lass. We have plenty of space in the back. I can see he’s quite the star.” Cynthia just laughed at the man, who seemed to be at most ten years her senior. ” We’ll also need food. A whole pig for him, I’ll take mine in the mess hall, I don’t really care what it is, but I’m partial to bacon.” He gave his laugh again, and another shake of the head. ”You must not be from this parts miss. When have you ever seen a pig live in a mountain?” She had never seen a mountain before today, so the question to that was obviously never. ” Only goat in these parts. My brother probably has a few left over from yesterday we can give your companion. As for you, there’s no bacon here, but today’s food is Lamb Stew. A gold piece buys you a bowl of the stuff, two horns of ale, actually served in ram’s horn. Two more for the room, and we’ll throw your dragon’s meat in for free.” She nodded and produced the money in exchange for her room key, which was an old key with a parchment attached which read ‘Room 201’, and a small parchment which the letter B1 and HA2, she could only guess it had to do with the amount of bowls of stew and horns of ale she was to get from the Inn Keep’s brother. She turned on her heels and made for the mess hall, which was actually two perpendicular long tables carved of stone, with chairs that seemed to be well over two decades’ old that were made of bone. She sat in one of the chairs that gave her a view off the cliff, then a man that looked just like the inn keep placed a bowl of boiling hot stew in front of her, along with a spoon made of stone. Inside of it she could see red peppers and chunks of meat, as well as other things she could not identify. She would let the stew cool, because she enjoyed the flavor of the meat much more than simply eating for the sake of feeling full. After her meal was delivered to her, the inn keep’s twin gathered the meat and set it for the dragon next to the stables and called upon the creature to go and eat.

This mission would never end, not as long as there was evil plaguing the world. It was shortly after taking up this mantle as a leader that Auriel found herself once again on the border of Yuran. Walking out of Pronta had been an emotionally charged situation for her. She hesitated before exiting the gates, looking towards the advent high in the mountains. For nearly a year she had not left that temple, yet it was time to do so now. Neglect for that much time meant that surely there was evil afoot. Reports had flooded in from all ends of this country about the encroaching evils. There were muscles in her body that needed flexing, mainly the ones meant for eradicating darkness. So it was that the valkyrie was following the paths of the countryside upon horse back when she happened upon an inn. A better part of the day had passed and it would be wise to rest for the time being. Auriel's senses were always open to the world whenever she left home. The energy in the air was free of malice and ill intent, a good sign. Nearing the tavern she could see someone's dragon busying itself in the haunches of some animal or another. She raised an eyebrow at the sight; must be a dragoon nearby. It would be so strange to see a wild beast such as that calmly partaking in an meal rather than ravaging the countryside with its fire and claws. Her horse balked at its presence, so instead of stabling it she tied the destrier nearer to the tavern itself.

Walking in to the tavern a lot of heads turned to see who made an entrance. Her heritage would be quickly spotted. Auriel was tall of stature and had an aura of command emanating from her. Gold and silver armor decked out her entire body, angelic markings and feathered pieces adorning the set. Though, if anyone looked close enough they would be able to discern the ravages of time and use the armor displayed. There were claw marks filled with some sort of golden alloy marring the rib area of her breastplate. Upon her back there was a great shield carved in the likeness of an angel. Her blond hair fell down her back in a braid, kept free from her face. Eyes the greys and blues of a storm peered out in to the masses. Face by face she scanned the occupants for anything that should cause alarm, and all she got was a general level of uneasiness. There was someone that caught her attention. A shield sister. Their kind were always incredibly easy to pick out of a crowd. A smile spread to her face as she quickly crossed the distance and took a seat opposite Cynthia. Auriel waved away the innkeep when he apprehensively approached the table to see if she wanted anything. "Hello, sister. I am Auriel, daughter of Samael. I call the Advent in Pronta my home. Tell me, what is your name? Yours is a face I've not seen before around here." What remained of the military had largely united underneath the valkyrie's holy banners. Every day she marched, trained, patrolled and fought with those of her kind. Cynthia may be a valkyrie, but she certainly was not one of the paladin's. There was a hardness to her eyes despite the welcoming tone of her voice. Something with her posture, the age showing upon her face. This halfling had seen battles and horrible things, that much would be clear.

                                                      • Wrath of a God
Their weapons surge with their latent energy which makes any weapon they touch, especially their chosen one, both covered in holy light and electricity. This leads to anyone locking blades or striking the shield of a Valkyrie feel small shocks that ward people off from staying in contact with them for too long. This also makes unholy enemies take an extra rank of damage on top of the lightning damage. However for the lightning to be in effect you must have more than half your energy remaining within you.

                                                      • Child of Jarnbjorn
When a Valkyrie choses a weapon to specialize in, that weapon becomes gifted by holy power and works much like Thor's Mjolnir and Jarnbjorn. It will nigh automatically come to the call of the Valkyrie, cannot be destroyed, and always has the extra lightning damage going on it regardless of energy level. When attacking with that weapon, they gain an extra +1/+1 to their stats. You get one of these, so choose carefully. This weapon should get its own custom abilities, and if it does it must be approved.

                                                      • Feast of Ambrosia
Once per battle the Valkyrie can hold their hand out and summon a goblet full of ambrosia. Upon consumption, this otherwordly substance will heal and cure any wounds and debilitations the Valkyrie may be suffering. This will not regenerate any lost limbs or organs, but it will immediately close wounds. No energy is regained from this, it merely gives the Valkyrie a better chance to continue fighting.

                                                      • The Sight
Being of God's blood, like God, they can see the world for what it truly is. They can see through ''the Mist" and see those for what they are. Instantly recognizing creatures of the night on spot or those who can use dark magic for they can read the aura's about them. Also giving them a general idea of how strong another is regardless of race. (Rank-wise, not as precise to be know the exact amount in the other energy pool.)

                                                      • Sense Evil
This allows the Paladin to sense those of ill intent, as well as demons and their kin, such as succubi, incubi, and several others of demon blood. It by emanating the good aura of the paladin, although the waves do not echo back, but make a "disturbance" that corrupts the waves of good, acting as a beacon. This also backfires, as it attracts all the things it detects, and makes the paladin very obvious to them.

Cynthia rose her hand when the new woman waved the innkeep away, the man quickly came and exchanged her empty ram’s horn with a new one full of the most bitter ale she had ever tasted, as well as the first ale she had ever tasted if truth be told. Something about this woman felt warm, felt right, but she couldn’t quite tell what it was, what she did know was that she could not avert her brown eyes from the woman’s blue, as if something in them called her forth, as if something called her home. When she spoke, Cynthia could only muster to look away, ashamed to have been staring, using the side of her long blonde hair to cover the embarrassment from her face. “You call me sister, but I do not know you, nor does your name seem familiar. The only thing that seems familiar of what you say is Pronta, I have read about it sparingly at the temple…” The young Valkyrie stopped talking and bit her lip before moving the horn of ale to her mouth, but stopping it shy of her lips. “Where are my manners,” She said to herself, before pushing the horn away from herself and offering it to Auriel. “My name is Cynthia Seastar, as to who I am the daughter of I know not. Mayhaps not my sister, but you look old enough to me my mother; drink if you speak true.” A smile cracked upon the fair blonde’s lips, but with that said the question floated in her head, why would this stranger sit before her and call her sister? Why did she feel this strange connection between the two of them, what was more was that she could see in this woman a glow as if the gods themselves had touched her with how she seemed to radiate. She had read about this too, but the scholars seemed not to agree why some seemed to have this glorious glow. Finally, the young girl leaned back against her chair, keeping one hand on the table. “You have not seen me around here because this is in fact my first time here. I was just assigned to Kranilia to aid with the demons that have been wreaking havoc across the nation, to avoid a possible spill over into Fronta most likely. This is my first day on the job to be honest.”

Auriel was of a firm belief that each and everyone of their kind shared a relation. Michael was their true father, and they were his daughters. There was a sisterhood here for every single one of them, no matter if they had been strangers up until now or the best of friends. "I speak true, though I do not partake." She kindly declined the offering of a drink. It had been important to her to treat her body as best as she could. Clouding her mind and therefore judgment with liquors and ales meant she would not be at her best. A single eyebrow angled in response to being called old. It had been a few years since Auriel could call herself 'young'. It felt strange to think of the days where she practiced day in and day out in the safety of the Advent with her trueborn sisters. That thought instantly soured and the realization hit her. Her soul had aged. Only a few years had actually passed since that time. The ravages of war, of near-death and torment had aged her beyond her years. "Mother or sister, either way you are kin to me." She spoke so surely of herself as if there was not a single doubt in her mind that Cynthia was exactly where she should be. Auriel sat backward in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest. Fraxon had bothered to send aid for this part of the world? No, this had to be some sort of mistake. She had heard tales of civil war inside the great empire. She practically snorted derisively when the younger valkyrie commented how her presence here was to help prevent backlash in Fronta. Of course, they didn't actually care. "Tell me Cynthia, have you ever seen a demon up close?" Auriel wasn't being harsh. Not many people had actually ever been in the presence of real evil before. Half demons, necrophages, monsters; these were the beings that plagued the average citizen. If what Cynthia said was true, it seemed to Auriel that this girl was in for quite an adventure. An uncomfortable shift in the auras around her. Trained eyes rapidly darted to and fro. The citizens here were restless. Could it be they did not trust the valkyries? Auriel pay closer attention to them here on out.

Cynthia was beginning to believe that Aurelia did not intend to imply that they were actually sisters, which now that she thought of it made more sense than to believe that they were, she was from Pronta, she said so herself, she couldn’t be from Pronta, if she indeed was how did she end up in the southern reaches of Fronta, it didn’t make much sense to her geographically, but then again, everything was indeed possible. “I don’t find the prospect of people being killed by demons amusing.” She responded to Aurelia’s snort, her face souring at the idea that such a woman that would dare consider herself her kin would find the prospect of death by demon to be a source of amusement, Cynthia almost got up and left the tavern if it wasn’t for the fact that the tone of her question caught her by surprise, not because it told her anything, but because it lacked what she was expecting there to be to such a thing, perhaps arrogance or some sort of gall, the same way girls and boys back at the temple would say they heard a voice amid prayer, the voice of Michael, because they always claimed it to be Michael, while she heard nothing. More than once she had felt tempted to lie and say that she had heard Elessia’s voice, never Michael’s, as she prayed. Here too she found herself tempted to lie, but at the end of the day she didn’t. “No.” She answered plainly at first, shaking her head, speaking low almost as if she was ashamed. “I’ve never actually seen a demon. Never fought anyone either, not someone that was trying to kill me, and even then, I’ve never fought anyone or anything alone.” Cynthia crossed her arms above her chest and looked away from Aurelia in shame, some soldier she was, perhaps scaring that man back in Fronta was a bad idea, maybe what she had told him was true; the only thing she offered was Daryon, or to be exact, Daryon was the one that was conscripted, and she was just a pretty side item the army got, a girl that was okay with her two Jian, decent with a longsword, decent with a shield. “It doesn’t matter though. Daryon and I can take on anything.” She said trying to lift her spirits, unaware of what Aurelia was feeling.

It was becoming more clear to Auriel than before. No, they hadn't actually sent any real help. At least, not how this girl was at this point in time. She saw something familiar in those eyes though, a haunting gaze in to the past. The inexperienced valkyrie was her, she was Abigail, she was Aurelia. Their attitudes had been strikingly similar when comparing them at the same age. She couldn't help but smirk and shake her head. "I'm sure you could. That truly is a magnificent beast you have out there." She had known a few shield-sisters to be dragoons. They mixed so well. With the valkyrie's ability to manifest wings, deal with lightning and oppressive physical strength they would be a force to reckon with when combined with the raw ability power of a tamed dragon. Almost wistfully she found herself imagining the freedom Cynthia must feel when tearing through the skies like an arrow loosed from a bow. She brought herself back down to reality and remembered that with Cassandra one one side and her shield before them there wasn't anything else she'd need. "It just so happens that I am coming back from a political mission in Kusana. I'm on my way back to Pronta now. The road between here and there can be perilous. With the damned of Nocturne constantly seeking innocents to slay its an ever present problem we face." Auriel leaned forward and rested her arms on the table, gauntlets clacking lightly against the wood. She intended to offer to show Cynthia what it really meant to be a valkyrie. To have the taste of a real battle and understand why they existed. "Would you like to accompany me?" In these days it was more important to form bonds with each other. Their race was facing the first schism in history. Half of them were aligning with Elessia, an angel who had fallen so far from grace it literally baffled her how anyone could ever see her actions as just. That wretched woman betrayed Michael. Her fast actions and militaristic mind was what had attracted so many of her sisters to her. Promise of the eradication of evil, when Elessia had turned around and worked with['i] that same evil and threw away every any chance of ever being worthy of Michael's love.

Cynthia blinked and considered the strange woman’s offer, what could she gain from going to Pronta with Aurelia? She barely knew the woman, and from the looks of it she could handle herself very well, so why would she even consider asking Cynthia to go with her? What’s more is that Cynthia had a job to do, she was to arrive at Kusana and receive orders from there to slay demons with those sent from the Frontan army and whatever Kranilia could spare, because she was certain that these Kranilians would not put on their best. Why should she go with Aurelia, if not for a chance to see the world? The blonde put her elbows on the table just as Aurelia had done moments before and took a moment to think on the strange Valkyrie’s offer. “My job is here. I have to get to Kusana…” She said with clear hesitation, but did not seem too convinced by what she was saying, other than her loyalty to her country, she had no real tether to the military, and she was aware that accompanying this woman to Pronta meant to abandon her post with Fronta, regardless of how quick this trip may be, but at the same time there was something in the way Aurelia said it that made it seem like she did not want to make the trek alone, and thus, as a servant of the gods, it was her duty to assist in whatever way it was possible. “But… I suppose it could not hurt to accompany you. Should we find any demons on the way I guess it would be fine for me to say that I was held up with an assault.” Her elbows retreated from the table, her arms coiled in front of her chest, and her face soured, she was not comfortable with abandoning her new found job, but at the same time her thirst for adventure which had been tightly chained during her stay in the Elessian temple was now free, and what this woman was offering, regardless of how implicitly it was, was a chance for an adventure that in her heart she knew she would not get here.

Auriel had a strong feeling that this valkyrie had no idea where she really belonged. How strange of Fraxon to send such an inexperienced girl against impossible odds, to a place that was not in as dire a position as Yuran was. It was probably very likely that they would run in to trouble along the way. Maybe it wouldn't be demons but there were plenty of scoundrels looking to raid innocent travelers. Auriel certainly did not look like an easy mark but she would never put it past a ne'er-do-well's desperation. The valkyrie inside of her actually yearned for someone to try her hand. ne'er-do-well "Excellent. I believe this will be good, for both of us. There is much of this world to see for a young valkyrie. It would be my honor to have a hand in guiding you in to the fray." With that there was nothing more to say. Auriel stood up and ignored the gazes she had been receiving from the crowd. The air here was feeling thick and she already had an inkling as to why. With the valkyrie faction split in two it had been hard to maintain their face of justice. Most people assumed they were all out for their own good now. Words would do nothing here, Auriel would have to show them. She motioned for Cynthia to finish up and follow her out. The older valkyrie would prep her horse and mount him for the ride back home.

She had already finished up by the time Aurelia motioned her to be done with her meal, all she had was half a horn of ale that she had been drinking slowly as the two women spoke, mostly out of respect for the Innkeep and his brother, who probably labored away making it, be it the ale itself, or the money with which to buy it. She pushed herself from the table and left the half drunken ram horn on the table and followed Aurelia. She remained silent while they walked from the table to the outside door of the inn, this Aurelia had stolen the words from her; did she just call her a Valkyrie? She had read about them in the temple, and she had heard whispers behind the doors of the headmistress and the head priest; she had heard that word be thrown around now and then, sometimes with reverence, often with fear. Fear, not of her, but for her, if that made sense. “The world we live in today has no place for an Elessian Valkyrie. You know the danger she would be put in.” The Headmistress would spit to the Head Priest, who would advise that the girl had to know the truth. As to which girl they spoke of, she didn’t know, there were about a dozen orphan girls at the temple, but only a handful matched the images of Valkyries. “You called me a Valkyrie… What are you talking about?” She questioned Aurelia once she was outside while she moved her left hand on to her mouth. Cynthia stuck two fingers inside and whistled for Daryon as hard as she could. Within seconds, the veteran Valkyrie that was accompanying her would hear a low growl, the winds would quickly pick up, and her gold and silver mount and partner would rain down upon them, landing between the two women. On Daryon there was nothing of note other than a leather saddle and reigns, tied to the saddle was a sleeping bag, on the side that faced Aurelia were two Jians in their sheaths, both beautiful and radiant even though she could not see the blades, that seemed to irradiate their own light when they were close. Their sheathes were also made of leather gilded in gold, in the center of Dawn’s sheathe was the cross of Michael, and in Lightbringer’s, that of Elessia.

"Well, you look like an interesting one." A voice called out from the trees, somewhere around the Cordonus. Suddenly an arrow came whizzing towards Oz, a faint dark blue glow around the tip and feathers, making it spin quickly, and move faster than normal. "How about a warning shot?" The shooter, though speaking, seemed to wish to hide his presence as best as possible while measuring up the strange figure he was now up against.
