"I really dislike bullies. How about I take control of your mind and make you start beating yourself up?"
Luna seemed unperturbed. After all, death was something she'd experienced many times over. Especially of people close to her.
"Your call on my offer. I'm not going to force you. If you pass it up, the offer will be made to a..."
She scrolled through a list of names.
"Mr. Gavin Napier. So don't feel pressured into accepting. I'll have my Xo one way or another."
So let's put aside our foolish pride

"No trial period. You're apparently the best qualified person of your group. I will work with you, so that if I'm ever indisposed of, for any reason, you'll be able to properly command this ship."
She entered in a few more notes onto her padd.
"Normally, I'd put you in the XO's quarters, but they're mostly destroyed and need repairing. As such, you'll be rooming with Petty Officer Third Class Horace Harkness. He's a decent Engineer, if a little on the shady side. Once we get the XO's quarters cleared, you can move in there."

♡❤ ℱavian ℱalk ❤♡ XO's quarters eh? Sounded better than bunking with someone. Plus Rose could come join him... He smiled. "I suppose I will just have to deal with this one's secret admirer until then." He thumbed back at Aralinna. He turned to look at her, a smirk covering his features. "Just try not to do anything when I'm going to be there. Seriously, towel on the door or something. Or I can lend you my tie if you'd like."
He looked over at the captain. "I guess I'll report for duty when you call me Lady Captain. If that's all?"

Luna gestured to the door.
"I'll have someone notify him that you're coming. Remember, though you technically outrank him, he still knows more than you. Let him guide you through the basics of Engineering. He is a good Engineer."

 Rain came in moments after those two left carrying a tray of tea. Even though he was a bridge officer he kept an eye on My Lady to make sure she was alright. His hair was pulled back into a low ponytail which commonly had people mistake him as a woman. He set the tray before her and looked towards the corridor, "My Lady here is some tea, though do you think it is wise to have a man like that as your acting XO? Pardon my sudden questioning but he seems like he will be nothing but trouble and you don't need anymore stress." Rain was always a concerned man considering he had all little sisters growing up.

Gavin left the sickbay and walked down the hall to the indicated door. As he approached, raising a hand to knock at the door only to have it slide open right in front of him. Automatics, and they still worked, although the random person walking away pocketing a couple of tools indicated that was very new. Turned out a guy with a hobby of fixing little things had stopped by and fixed the doors quickly, then went and headed down to Engineering. So Gavin's hand fell to his side again as he walked into the room, the door sliding closed behind him as his eyes panned over the room before shifting back to the woman there.
"Am I right in assuming you are the captain, Miss?"

Luna looked up from a padd that had Gavin's face and basic info on it.
"Ah, Mr. Napier, please come in."
Though she had a welcoming smile, she looked haggard and worn out. it had been a long day.

He was inside technically, but he took the greeting in the spirit it was intended, stepping forward to the table itself but not sitting down yet. He saw his face and what looked like a handful of data on another of those tablet-devices being held by the woman, so apperantly she was already a step ahead of him. However, she seemed to be smiling in a friendly way, although she looked very tired.
"I see you know my name already, Miss. Could I perhaps get yours, especially if your the captain from whom I'm presumably going to soon be taking orders from?"

She laughed, a rather musical sound
"Of course. After all, I know your name, so it'd be impolite. Admiral Luna, House of Davis. I'm the Captain of this beat-up bucket of bolts."
She gestured to the chair.
"Please, sit down. You're making me uncomfortable. And you won't really be taking orders from me, unless you become a Bridge Officer. That's what your Dr. Falk is for. He's my new XO."

He raised a bit of an eyebrow at the title and honorifics and such, sitting once she asked him too, since he'd been rather waiting for that.
"Glad to meet you then, Miss Luna, or Captain. Whichever you would prefer. I'm suprised you decided on Falk for your second. I'd have expected him to be in the sickbay with Dr. Sadenes, rather then on the bridge, and my apologies for making you uncomfortable."
So the doctor was being taken on as the ships executive officer, rather then for his medical abilities, however they may compare to their current doctor? Odd, but hey, what happened happened. Of course Luna may have noticed how he went from her saying XO to him seeming to realize she meant second in command pretty close to instantly.

Imm0rtal Ryuu XO is a common enough term that she'd be surprised if someone DIDN'T understand it

"Doctor he may be, his skills would be lacking compared to Dr. Sadenes and her staff. He'd be getting in the way. He seems influential among the people from your camp, which is why I appointed him. Your camp was the largest, so he's my liaison."
He scrolled through the information on the padd.
"And Captain or ma'am is fine. i won't make you use 'My Lady.' Not on this ship."
She set the padd down.
"While I don't require anyone to pull their weight, it'd be nice. Is there any special skills you have that you feel would come in handy aboard this ship?"

((Maybe so, but ask a lot of people who haven't had to much experience with the military outside the movies around here and a lot of them tend to lose track of the acronyms and positions and the like remarkably quickly.))
"That is true, he doesn't have near the abilities of Doctor Sadenes, or the skills to use that equipment in there. None of us do, really. I'd say you could call him influential, he was our only doctor, and that holds it's sway."
This seat was comfortable, and he settled back in it a bit. Military chair or whatever else, just having a chair that was in one peice and not torn up was a very nice change.
"Unfortunately not as much as either of us would like, Captain. My focus before everything was computer systems and networking, and those won't exactly translate well here, unless your systems work a lot differently then I'm expecting. I'm a scavenger as well, a pretty good one, not sure if you can use that though, and a decent shot with most any weapon I've used. Besides that nothing unique or useful."
About the only part of that he was expecting to come up would be if she figured out what he could scavenge and salvage among all this advanced tech. If something got tense he might need a gun, but their computer systems? Yeah right, he wouldn't know how to work those in all likelyhood.
