I am alone and afraid." Mary-Elizabeth's true feelings were coming out now and she felt that she just wanted to cry. "And the bad part is about being queen is that I am going to have to marry someone that I barely even know or who I wont even like." She crossed her arms and felt anger swell up inside her. She stared at an empty pot letting her anger flow then blinked. Then the pot exploded and caught on fire.

Darian sighed softly as he listened to her words, and watched the pot explode a few meters away from Elizabeth's gaze. "Lizz most of my family is gone you know that." He said softly as he stepped over the bench, and took his gloves off. "Liz you don't have to marry someone you hardly know if you find someone you care for this isn't the old days hell your own parents were queen, and knight it is a common thing." he said softly cupping her face gently in his warm hands looking into her eyes. "So calm down no future is set in stone ok."

Mary-Elizabeth turned to look at him. "Well you still have them and I have no one besides you and my uncle. And he isn't even royal." she sighed and started calm down. "And my parents new each other before they got married. Like how we are now.." She quickly silenced and thought to herself. "I just need to shut up before my feelings get the best of me. Besides he probably doesn't even like me like that anyways." she started to rock back and forth then started humming the song her mother always hummed when she was with someone she loved.

"That still means you have the two of us your not alone Liz." Darian said softly as she began to hum, and gently rock back, and forth. He smiled recognizing the tune as he ran his fingers gently over her cheeks. "Besides I don't want to give you to anyone else I have known you all of your life." He smiled gently at her his golden eyes shining in the dark. "After all you are mine to guard if I gave you away to some other guy who would I protect then hmm." he said softly a smile on his face as his golden eyes stared into her brown ones.

Mary-Elizabeth stopped humming then looked back at him and smiled back. "Well if you gave me away to someone else I guess you would protect my kids. If I have any, I honestly don't want to know if my kids will have these powers. My parents never had them." she said as she still looked at him. Then it came out.. "You have really pretty eyes Darian." Her eyes moved from him to the ground then back at him. "Did I really just say that?" She asked in a low voice. "I'm sorry.."

Darius smiled gently as she spoke of him protecting her children,and he continued to hold his hand to cheek. 'I doubt they will have your power I'm sure theirs will be something brand new." He said softly as he blinked hearing what she said about his eyes. he smiled as she glanced down apologizing. "Don't be sorry for it your eyes are beautiful too." He said softly, and quickly bent in to kiss her gently on the lips.

Before she could even respond back, his warm lips were on hers. Her eyes widened she didn't know what to do. This was her first kiss after all. "What do I do?" she thought. "Kiss him back silly royal.." her mind really did have a mind of its own. "What.. how? I don't know what I'm doing." Her mind laughed at her. "Just close our eyes and lean in a little as well. And put your hand on his cheek so he knows you like." She did as she was told by her mind and kissed him back, placing her hand on his cheek gently.

Darian held the kiss for long moments once her felt her return the kiss, and brought his free hand up to cup the one on his cheek. He broke it after a moment to breath leaning his forehead against hers. "I've been wanting to do that for so long." He said softly as he gently pulled her gloves off putting her warm hand to his cheek. "I trust you my dear Liz." He said softly looking into her brown eyes with his gold one with their foreheads together they were close enough to kiss again.

Mary-Elizabeth couldn't believe what was happening to her. She felt warm inside, but it wasn't powers that was the cause. She smiled as their foreheads touched and licked her lips. She was surprised scared and joyful all at once. When he took her glove off, her hand was shaking, afraid that she might burn him or worse. When he said that he trusted her it gave her some encouragement and then she kissed him again, harder this time. She waiting so much for this to happen, she knew that I would have happened sooner or later and she's happy that it was now.

Darian had enjoyed the kiss the feel of her soft lips on hs brought the guardian no ends of happiness. He meet her gaze as she pulled back from the kiss speaking words part of him thought he would never hear. He smile caressing her cheek gently as he thought over his own feelings for a moment. He knew guardians were meant to feel fiercely protective of their charge, but he knew it was far more then that. He wanted to protect her true, but he cared for her deeply everything about her fascinated the young man. "And I love you Liz." He said softly his gold eyes showing only honesty in them..
