Habakkuk Nox
The Raven Witch

"O'er the hills,he stand and wait,
Unparalleled and cold.
O'er the hills, with his own two eyes,
Blood covered the whole field."

After hearing what the female witch has to say,Habakkuk merely glanced at the sky then tilted his head to the side upon feeling some presence on the other side of the alleyway. He crossed his arms over his chest then stepped, unmistakably,in the air,his feet not making any sound since he was stepping on nothing except air.He glanced at Dulcibell then heaved a deep breath."Feasting upon the students would be foolish. We have to strengthen our side first.Then..."he said, turning his back as he stepped up higher until he reached one of the building's rooftop."...we will bring them down. All of them. And you can have those rebellious souls as much as you like,"the Raven Witch trailed off while giving her his polite bow.

Up at the rooftop Habakkuk could see almost the whole of Death City.Closing his eyes,he tried to sense the souls within five-kilometer radius. After a few seconds he sighed, seemingly disappointed with something.I can't sense him...where is he?he then asked himself, glancing down again at Dulcibell to check if she was still there.

"The vast sky upholds the truth.
With pitch-black wings,the demon stirs
And disguised himself as the truest sage.
O'er the hills...he watched us all."

:Major writer's block. Not to mention that I almost forgot that I have here a character named Habakkuk, waiting to be roleplayed! DX

♣ ♥ ♦ ♠ "The perfect crime, that’s what it is
Too much vigor, I kill you
Get yourself an alibi, my surface face
Takes on the appearance of a good girl."

Soul protect: Off
Summoning cards : Queen~ not with her

The card witch walked down the alleyway upset with the loss of one of her more useful cards, if those brats from the DWMA didn't defeat the queen and take the card back in for researching Meishi would be able to get it back no problem. Her soul protect was off since the witch thought she was all alone but two kids were having a brawl right in the middle of the alleyway.

Meishi leaned on a nearby wall waiting for the two to splatter their brains on the concrete in front of her and prove themselves good entertainment for the witch. The witch had a feeling these two shibusen brats weren't normal and the blue haired one looked vaguely familiar but she couldn't her finger on who he was,"My money's on ol' brown hat over there."

"Stopping this corrosion of my soul seems to be impossible..."
╚═══════════════════════════════════════════╝

Footsteps echoed through the alleys, trickling like the sounds of droplets hitting the pools of water in the numerous storm drains that littered the walkways. Dominik's mind focused on restraining the evils in his soul after his momentary display of power when escaping the mystery man. His soul pulsed out feelings of pain along with a slight touch of the madness wavelength that could easily be felt by his partner gripped tightly in his hand. Her sheathe felt cool to the touch, like glass of a window on a snowy day. Besides the feelings of conflict in his soul, Dominik could feel Faiyth's soul close to his as her blade laid dormant inside the cover. He wondered what the blade itself looked like, only ever seeing a handful of katanas before in his life. In his eyes they were masterful works of art created by the interesting people from the Far East. To wield them was a discipline in itself, even drawing it a skill that could take years to perfect. Unlike his Germanic ancestor's weapon of choice, the Zweihander, this wasn't a tool any old barbaric simpleton could pick up and swing. These thoughts filled his mind with the mindset to treat her carefully in battle if this chase should come to it.

Little did he know the meister's soul easily transferred his thoughts out to his partner without Dominik's knowing. His mind was too focused on keeping his soul in check to know what was being expressed from his soul. Never had he had this level of interaction with anyone before, naive to the communications between souls yet a practitioner on the composition and structure of one. There was little he could keep a track of, even his legs were moving on their own through the alleys as his body was bent on survival from the power that lurked behind them. A skid echoed through the alley as Dominik quickly turned a corner and pressed his body up against the wall, controlling his breathing as he took a rest for a moment to gather himself and plan accordingly. 'So Faiyth, you have more experience than me in situations like this... Any advice...?' The young man's soul called out towards his partner's hoping that she would be able to answer his question to ease his mind for what was to come.

"There is a vacancy in my soul..."

Faiyth felt the warm grip of her meisters hand on the black sheath of her weapon form. It would have been a comforting feeling had the situation not been as it was. She felt the nearby kishin's anger and the wavelength given off by him. She also felt a similar feeling from Dominik's soul, but it wasn't completely similar. It left an odd feeling, but she did her best to ignore it, as she didnt have time to worry about that. Through the connection of their souls she could hear her meisters thoughts as if he was speaking clearly to her. She heard his thoughts on how her weapon form was to be used, the skill required to efficiently wield it. 'With the connection of our souls, you will know how to wield me when the time comes' she spoke through her soul.

She too felt the kishin closing in as Dominik stopped along a wall. His next question to her was a simple question, yet it was very difficult for her to answer. At least it would be difficult, as the answer she had would not be the kind he was hoping for 'I have never faced an enemy like this. Even the witch I consumed to become a Death Scythe did not have a wavelength like this' she thought through her soul to him. Even her voice then had a tone as if she felt greatly inadequate and useless. 'Feel into my soul and you will know my abilities. We will get through this somehow'. She felt it was true, but had no clue how they could defeat a kishin, but even as she thought it her mind was racing over her own abilities, something that was being transferred into Dominik's mind without her even trying

The air around the two was quiet, still and compressed. Given, of course, it was quite a late hour. No one save the homeless and the rats were out, the only sound and light being the agitated hum of a dilapidated streetlight.

Their environment was, in itself, pretty rundown. The alley was filthy, the grounds covered in a thick layer of dirt and grime. It was also not at all spacious, only somewhat separated by a rundown apartment Blok and an abandoned warehouse.

Hana resided in that lonely place.

His arm shot through the wall on which Dominik resided, next to him, staying still for a moment, clenched and dusted by the ancient mortar and cement that held the building together. If one looked inside the rather spacious building, they would see the Kishin in his most animal of expression, his loud and audible breath reaching out through the hole he had just now created. Maybe he was pained, maybe he was frightened. No one could possibly like being in such a piteous, and yet, equally terrifying state.

But he couldn't feel any of that. All he could feel was anger.

Again he let out another roar, his outstretched arm grabbing the meister and dragging him through the surprisingly fragile wall and into the structure which emanated of his rage-inducing madness. Outreach had been activated for quite a while now, but it was only here that he extended it throughout the entire building. If he did not have an objective, it would have been very likely the Judgement would rip out every vital organ from the boy.

But he did not attack. No, the last sane bit inside of him clung to the mercy of he preferably needed him alive and, not necessarily, well. If he had only his soul, it wouldn't leave much room for salvation. Instead, he circled him. Growling. Like an animal and the very definition of a monster.

He waited for the halfling to charge.

((Outreach: A fifty-yard, spherical extension of Hana's peculiarly raging madness. The closer to Hana, obviously, the more degradedly maddening one is and the more likely to blindly charge. It is also very much a double-edged sword; it reduces Hana's mental functions much like anyone else's, especially if it is confined to a shorter radius. Of course, this ability can easily be counteracted by those who possess a 'Calm' wavelength, much like how Faye does.))

Before he knew it, the miester's thoughts and conversation with his partner was interrupted by a hand plunging from the wall and ripping the young man through to the the other side to join the beast in his rage. With a loud grunt Dominik skid against the ground like a skipping stone, shrouded in a cloud of dust and debris. He slowly pulled himself to his feet, coughing from having the wind knocked out of him and inhaling the dry and dusty air. The miester fought to regain his composure and thoughts, keeping a tight grip on Faiyth as he stared down the former mystery man. It was painfully obvious that this was no ordinary human, but a definite kishin enraged from the boy's escape. 'Why the hell would someone like him be after me..?' Dominik tried to deduce the kishin's reasoning behind the sudden attack in hopes of figuring out what exactly did he want him for. A clean cut glare was kept on the kishin as he circled around Dominik as sweat gleamed from his forehead. Inside, the miester's soul was working overtime to prevent the madness from fully engulfing him. The internal struggle against the corrosion became increasingly difficult from the kishin's presence in the confined space they shared.

Plans and thoughts raced through the young man's mind as he tried to formulate a plan of action against the rampaging demon. Once again his options were severely limited from the situation and he would have to make another decision he wouldn't want to make. With a small sigh, Dominik gripped onto the hilt of Faiyth and focused intently on the kishin's motions. 'Just so you understand Faiyth... If I start to loose myself I want you to do your best in snapping me back to, and that would mean taking in some of the pain yourself...' The grip tightened on the sword as Dominik readied himself for a clash. 'There's only one way we even stand a chance against this kishin and that's for me to let myself go for a little bit...' As the meister communicated with his partner, his knees began to tremble slightly from the Madness as it tried to creep into his soul and mind. Within his soul, a small click could be heard echoing in the silence, like a lock popping open after being fed the correct key. Only seconds after did the flow of confined madness rush through Dominik's body and pulsed outward, strangely conflicting with the kishin's wavelength. With that, the miester jolted forward, moving faster than before and with more ferocity. Dominik quickly sent a slash against center mass of the kishin and rushing by him without caring if the demon cared to dodge or block the hit. After skidding to a halt he would rush by again sending multiple strikes in random angles each time trying to press his back against a wall and gain the ground in the room. As the miester pressed on, the madness would start to increase in flow outward from his body to being challenging the wavelength of the kishin's in a battle of might and spirit.

Nephite Warrior

Something wasn't right.

It was out of place. All of it. Hana saw the struggle the boy was feeling, but. That was it. There was no imminent rage, no succumbing to animalistic nature.

There was even calculation.

The rage-felt Kishin couldn't understand a bit. It disgusted him, made him growl with malcontent. His eyes were whited over with the extent of this fury, this. Anger. He watched the initial attack, watched how planned and analyzed it was, even at such a close extent. He thought nothing of it, reaching his hand up to grab and block it-

He winced. It had actually broken skin, something surprising in the first place. And. The katana itself was cold. Cool. Like frozen over metal. Though he couldn't place it into words, Hana knew this was what held the boy into mental composure.

The demon gritted his teeth, backing at the sudden onslaught. He felt the blood Boil inside of him, its madness fuel and raging heat against this cold composure. He could feel the tension in the air, the awkwardness of the conflicting, maddening wavelengths. To him, it slowed everything down. His motions, the boy's motions. It was if they were both in water.

Hana didn't like it.

He backed up once more, a bit of a further step, his arms outstretched behind his back. His wavelengths rushed to his palms, one of which spilling the vital blood now Boiling and eroding the ground below. Again he let out another rage-induced scream, ear biting and teeth clenching.

And he clapped his Focused hands together.

Instantly the shock wave was felt. It was pure, kinetic energy, a force so violent it sent a wave throughout much of the area, cutting a straight line through much of the buildings around. Though he doubted it had the same halfing force to a human body, it was likely Dominik would be sent back flying quite a bit. Of course, he, too, was knocked back into the wall, though he managed to keep his stance.

What's more was Boil had spilled out across everywhere, eroding, heating, and dissolving everything it touched.

((Focus: an extension of Application, this involves the concentration of Hana's wavelengths into the end of his limbs and releasing them in a sudden, violent burst of kinetic energy. Alone it has the power to level a first floor of a building; when in contact with another Focused limb or a power similar to it, it releases a catastrophic shockwave that knocks everything back.))
((Boil: Like the name suggests, Hana's blood literally boils with the rage he produces, becoming highly acidic and toxic. It eats through practically anything, though it does not allow for his wounds to properly heal up.))

"There is a vacancy in my soul..."

Faiyth immediately felt the change in her meisters' soul. The madness it put off was far less unbearable than the kishin before them, but it was enough that she knew what it was. It left an uncomfortable feeling on her, like being covered with a heavy blanket on a warm day. She focused her own wavelength to lessen the feeling that had come over her, as well as to keep Dominik from falling fully into the madness that was surely attempting to take over him completely 'I will do my best, but try not to keep this up for a long time. I may be a death scythe, but even I cannot keep up this kind of control forever' she spoke to her meister.

Her spirits were lifted momentarily as the blade of her weapon form managed to cut through the kishin's skin, but she felt a burning pain as his boiling blood attempted to burn through her. She raised her wavelength high enough to freeze the blood, causing it to shatter off from the blade. 'Be careful of his blood. It will burn through you if you are exposed to it for more than a few seconds. Make your strikes fast and smooth, and the blood will not stay on my blade for long enough to cause much damage'.

Her concentration was being tested to its fullest extent. It was likely that Dominik would realize how much so, but she would not give up on him. She would not lose another meister

The meister heard the words of his weapon sound a clear. The blood of the kishin splattered clean with the blade, only to reveal that it was almost acidic in nature. 'Damn...' he thought, trying to come up with a plan on the spot. There was no way he could keep up his speed without letting himself towards the madness further, that would call for his partner to be at serious risk and the outcome would be catastrophic in the end. There had to be something for him to come up with. In his thoughts, the kishin screamed as an animal growled to bear its might at it's opponent. Hands came crushing together to form a sonic shock wave to blow apart the building and Dominik away with it. In a swift motion powered by his evil strength, the frosted blade was swung against the current of the wave in an overhand motion, leaving just enough room for the meister's body to slip through unharmed. Wavelengths began to clash together and it could be felt in the air at this point as the steam rose from the kishin's side; the air chilled on the meister's. Dominik gave a glare at the beast, noticing it had been recoiled by its own attack. This was the perfect opportunity to strike. 'Listen, Faiyth... I'm going to defer all the wavelength away from you so you can take a breather. I'm going to need it for now...' His legs readied into a sprinting position ready to blindside the kishin on a moment's notice. 'I want you to do everything you can to freeze over my wavelength afterwards, hopefully it puts me into shock and I'm able to regain my senses for the time being...' With that said the scaled pain quickly withdrew onto Dominik's half, the wavelength spewing out of him like a raging river. A loud battle cry echoed through the gutted building as Dominik darted forward even faster than before at the kishin.

That was the last thing Dominik could consciously recall before descending into darkness. His body increased in speed halfway through the run because of it, a hand lunged out and aimed towards the chest of the kishin in a grasping position ready to deliver a Soul Devour. Strengthened by the madness alone this attack would pack a physical punch meant to shatter a few layers of concrete but on the soul's perspective this would drive a huge impact to the kishin's soul and his own. Landing this would not only cut the enemy's spiritual energy down a level, but even the odds against if Fayith could successfully bring back her meister from the rage and pain that engulfed his soul. Within his mind, Dominik was stuck within the same room years ago when he had awoken from the black out. Confused and enraged at his grandfather's betrayal and the unanswered questions that swarmed his mind like a hive a hornets. The blood laid around him as his head darted back and forth between the puddles of crimson and the knife that shimmered in the moonlight drenched in his grandfather's blood. The moon was full, showing itself from behind a couple of clouds as it looked as if it were painted in the window. The real world was lost to Dominik in this state of conscious limbo as his body would continue the fight unless stopped by his partner.

Hana, in his animalistic state, realized the mistake in not preparing for his attack.

But, there was quite a bit of levy to it. The boy had now succumbed to his own madness and the rage of the surrounding. He charged now with the same blind intensity as anyone else would. While it certainly made his opponent a bit stronger, it made things so, so much easier and simpler. Because, of course, there was a lack of all the complicated things. The functions and uses and abilities granted to human evolution years ago but now stripped away in the most grotesque and beautiful of ways. If the beast weren't so invigorated of rage, it might have grinned.

No calculations- Hana matched, if not topped the meister's battle cry. The way the two sound waves meshed; well, they didn't really mesh at all. They bounced off each other, the same but different, like the ends of a magnet, and cracked at the failing concrete walls.

No mental function- With the maddening, enraged wavelengths now at a peaking battle, all the movements around Hana had that slow, sluggish progression. His own and Dominik. But he had to match that speed. The Kishin, like the boy, readied himself in a springer, sprint state, ready to unload and unleash full fledged fury.

No prior restraints.

Simultaneously, Hana's feet Focused and shot his body straight forward at a dizzying speed. His mainframe was slightly lower so as to avoid whatever attack the boy had in mind, or, lack of. In any case, he caught the other in a bone rattling bear-hug tackle.

Their bodies shot forward and into the failing structure- no, actually, even past that. Out past the original alleyway and through two more walls. All during this, Hana attempted to come out of the entangled mess on top to ensure the other's pain instead of his own. Eventually, they would come to a bouncing, rolling stop in the midst of rubble and chaos.

"There is a vacancy in my soul..."

Faiyth reluctantly did as asked, allowing her meister to give in to the madness, but she did not relent completely. She kept her wavelength close enough that within seconds of her choosing, she could step in and attempt to pull Dominik from his current state. At least, that is what she hoped would happen. She was not expecting him to change as much as he had, and the madness he began to give off began to push down on her as if she was standing under something heavy, stuggling to keep from being crushed. It was at this point that she felt thankful for being able to control her wavelength to the extent she could.

She looked on from her weapon form, clutched ever tighter in her meisters grip as he raged toward the kishin, both of them colliding and crashing through the alleyways and everything around which they had already demolished during the combat. The piercing cries ringing in her mind, but she remained as calm as possible until the two rolled to a stop. She wasn't sure who was on top, nor did it matter. While Dominik was simply attacking through rage and madness, Faiyth was completely aware of the situation and what was happening. Once the two had come to a halt, she released her own wavelength, it's temperature almost bone-chilling now with the extent she was forcing it. Within a matter of seconds she blasted her wavelength through both Dominik and the kishin Hana. She hoped it would not only release her meister from his current state of madness, but also slow the kishin down to the extent that Dominik could take proper action against him
