"I....I'm Jessica" She answered, refusing to look at Tom with more than glances. She cursed quietly at a particularly tough knot. "I wish they made these tangle-proof!" She threw them back in her purse, giving up. Great. Now she had to sit in the BACK of the bus, next to a BOY, without her MUSIC and the boy was likely to TALK again.

Tom started to listen to the music, the volume low push the music to the background as the bus's starts to crawl along. Tom was an observer, and found interesting things withe the thicket of human kind, but it was a boring crowd, he kept glancing back at Jessica, just in time to see her toss her headphones back into her purse "May i help?"

Jessica turned her head towards Tom. "If you want to...?", she said, finding it amazing that he was being nice before seeing her wallet. But he was still a guy. She turned away, picking up her purse again to find the already buried earphones.

Adam nodded a bit "No trouble, they do that all the time" He made a small, thin smile as he pushed his glass's up, he then takes off his headphones, the music only whispering out of the headphones

Jessica found them, now even more tangled. "Ya...I've broke them before while trying to get them unfolded....." She held them out, once again not looking at Tom, goosebumps and a blush forming now. "Why?!", Jessica thought, annoyed by what her body was doing by itself.

He took the earphones, taking the phones and slowly unwrapping them, patently doing so glancing back at her to see her start to blush. "Just gotta do it soft and slow, these things are still so fragile" Tom worked on them, soon having them untangled without a problem" There you go!" Tom said, placing the earphones back in her hand with a smile.

"H-.......how the hell.....?" Jessica said, staring at the earphones. "Thanks..." Her blush was still strong but she shook her head a bit, making her curls hide her face. She plugged the buds in her phone and put one in her right ear, wanting to hear what the quiet boy had to say.

Tom only smiled a bit " I'm good with stuff like that" He said as the bus kept on trucking for a while, A sigh appeared by the bus "Be prepared to stop...i think we are here!" The bus stopped at a booth, a large gate surrounded the school grounds, with a large sigh up above 'SPARKTON'. An fifty-something old man waited at the entrance, that man was Dr. Alexander.

Jessica saw the man, old guy really. "Yay. Wonder who the old guy is......do you think there'll be some class we have together?" The boy was her only 'friend' here. Shockingly she kinda wanted it to last.

The bus opened its doors, the students moved there way to the door as Dr. Alexander watched them, the two had to wait for everyone else to get off, Tom looked back at her" Depends, do you have Biology?" He asked with a smile, everyone was enrolled in Biology, it was required to go to Sparkton. Alexander took a Megaphone sitting by him from the ground "Now everyone get your things and come to the entrance of the meeting all, i all have an announcement for you children"

Jessica rolled her eyes, sarcasm in her voice,"Of course not. What loser takes biology?" She looked at the old geezer again, wondering if she'd have him for a teacher. "Why are you being nice to this guy?" her inner voice chimed, still hurt, "Hes just like Arthur. All boys are!" She couldnt help but kumbled "It is true.."

Tom was a bit surprised with her tone, she seemed nice enough at first, but it seems there is more to her then that. Tom got up as soon as there was available aisle space for him to get up in "I'm sure we will" Tom said taking a hold of his back pack and slinging it over his shoulder, following the other students outside to get their things.

Jessica's inner voice was congradulating her while she frowned on the outside. She said "I'm sorry." But the boy probably couldn't hear it. "It fell to lost ears like the heart in a mute girl..." She shook her head getting up and waiting for her turn. This was going to be a lonely year.

He looked back, seeing a frown on her face. Tom looked a bit confused, but a bit relived for some reason, it shows that the Jessica can feel bad about things, what she said is something she should not dwell too much on, but he could not rule her out as a friend.Tom walked out to the side walk and gathered his bags, waiting for Jessica.

When Jessica finally got off the bus she stretched a bit before going for her bags. Two hot pink rolling suitcases and a designer duffel bag. Huge duffel bag really. All three rather heavy. She couldn't help but wonder if there was a bell boy.
