Della stepped back when he snapped at her. "It's...the way I was taught." She said this statement but it wasn't completely true.
Della remembered sitting in the study with her gaurdian angel learning about different ways to help others and resolve certain matters. Her gaurdian, Ariell, had accidently set a book called the History of Demons down while trying to find another book. Della's curiousity had been peaked and she immediately started flipping through the pages. Ariell had turned to see what she was so intently reading and then immediately snatched the book away and hurled it across the room.
"You are never to touch that again!" Ariell shouted. Della let out a small, scared "Why?". Ariell quickly went over and held Della. "There are only two things you need to know if you happen to cross paths with a demon. One: try to get away. Two: if you can't get away, stand and fight."
Della had wanted nothing more than to finish reading the book that had been taken from her hands, but she was never able to get back into that part of the library. She snapped back to reality and looked at the nameless demon. Could she get away? Probably, but she didn't think she'd even try. That meant that when it came to it, she might have to fight. She remembered the staff she had but prayed that she wouldn't have to fight him.

Damien watched her thoughtful look, remembering all the ways he was taught about his species. He sighed and took a step forward, knowing what he had to do. "Listen, I don't want to.." He drifted off, staring at her angelic face, beautiful, almost purple eyes, and bit his lip. Did he really have to listen to the horrible voice that told him to kill her immediately, or should he let her go. He took another step forward, confusion crossing his face as an Angel-like Damien argued with a Demon-like Damien in his mind. He took a deep breath in before his eyes flashed dangerously once more, showing bits of red in them as it tried to take over the green. He looked away from her, his voice deepening with each word he said. "Go. It's not safe for you to.." His eyes showed complete red as he curled his fists and snarled one last time, "Go! Before I.." His head snapped up as he took two steps at a time, only inches away from her now.

Della quickly stumbled back and turned to run away. She ran as fast as she could but, atfer a minute of that, she stopped and turned around to see if she could still see the demon.
"I didn't even get his name.."

Damien watched her go, snarling at himself and fighting to stay there, to not run after her and kill her. "I don't even know the Angel's name," He mumbled to himself, but then growled. It doesn't matter, a part of himself said. He turned away, his feet wanting to move the other direction. He focused on them, his demon self angry with him, cursing him to Hell. He shook his head. "She's an Angel. She was trying to be nice to me.." He turned back, his eyes flashing red, then green, then red again, looking like flashing lights against the fog. He searched the darkness, trying to see her. He saw a white speck, and knew it was her wings. He ran a hand through his hair, not realizing she was looking back at him also.

Della turned back around and started walking. It didn't seem as though he was following her, so why run if she didn't need to?
As she made her way back to the small apartment she lived in, she couldn't help but think about her encounter. There she had been; face to face with an actaul breathing demon. Just then she heard scant humming and was brought back from her thoughts, only to see Ariell walking steadily beside her.
She smiled at her gaurdian, who simled back in response.

Damien frowned at the thoughts that were plaguing him, thinking about her. He wondered if they would ever meet again, but it was such a big city, and he knew he never stayed long anyway, so there was a very small chance of that happening. He sighed quietly as he opened the gate to the park back up, going through it and leaving it as quickly as he had come. He didn't want to sit there and have to think about the Angel that he had seen that night. His eyes roamed around, seeing if there were any pathetic humans to screw around with. His eyes flashed once again, but remained a green as he spotted a small human girl walking along the streets. He watched her from behind trees, making sure to keep up with her good enough so he wouldn't lose sight of her.[/size

"So, you finally saw one for yourself." Ariell stated. Della knew that she was referring to the man. "Yes I did." "And did you find out eveything you wanted to know?" "Not really. I mean, he was a demon, but he didn't seem demonic.." Ariell scoffed. "You are foolish Della. He could have killed you!" "But..he didn't "
Ariell shook her head disappointedly and disappeared as fast as she had come. Della hung her head, sad because she knew that she had upset her gaurdian. She finally reached the apartment and closed the door after she went inside. She kicked off her shoes and set her coat on a chair. Laying on the couch, she began to again think about this man. It seemed that he was actually being tortured by his demon nature, but Della could have just been seeing what she had wanted to see. Somehow, she just knew he had some good in him. If he didn't, she'd be dead.

Damien smoothed his wrinkled clothes down, trying to appear human as best as he could. He continued to watch her for a few minutes, moving through the streets as she did. He was pondering on to get her here and surprise her, or appear human to her and follow her home and get her there. His eyes flashed red and the girl looked back, causing him to move back behind a tree quickly.

Della woke up and yawned, She hadn't realized that she'd fallen asleep until she'd actually woken up. Her mind wandered unintentionally back to the man she had met earlier.
She immediately sat up and ran out of her house. She didn't understand why, but she knew she had to see the demon again, even just to get his name. She ran to the play ground and saw that he wasn't there. But she couldn't give up and she thought that he couldn't be too far, so..
"Demon! Where are you?"

Damien heard his name being shouted, and he glanced back, seeing the park not too far away, maybe a mile. He noticed the girl looked back, looking scared, but didn't hear the exact words that had been shouted, since she was too far away and was a human. He glanced back, wondering if he should go back and see what the girl wanted, or follow the human. He frowned, deciding that the girl was being no fun anyway, and he slipped back into the shadows, finding his way back to the park quickly. He saw the Angel from earlier, and curiosity over took him. His eyes only half-red now, he stepped up to her, hoping to scare her off. "What do you want?" He said it low, but there was no danger in his voice. He didn't know whether to kill her or leave her. He narrowed his eyes. "I'm too dangerous. I told you to go away and not come hunting for me, didn't I?"

Della noticed the boy's eyes and cautioned herself. "I just...I wanted to know your name. That is all." She was actually intrigued by him.

Damien tilted her chin up with his index finger, giving her a dazzling but dangerous smile. "My name is..." He paused for a moment, wondering if he should tell her the truth or no. He figured she was an angel, and that was nothing to be a afraid of. He spoke clearly, finishing his sentence. "My name is Damien. That is all you need to know." He met her eyes, half-red, half-green. He let go of her and straightened at once, clearing his throat.

Della was shocked when he touched her face, however upon seeing his smile, she somehow felt slightly more terrified. When he finally stated his name, Della repeated it in her mind. He couldv'e been lying; it was just how demons were. Yet Della would accept it for now. He let her go and she bowed while replying: "Well Damien, my name is Della."

Damien laughed lightly and said smoothly, "Now, now. There will be no formal introducing while I'm here. It is nice to meet you, Della, but for now I must go." He took her hand and kissed it, giving her a sincere smile, showing his full teeth, which were just a bit sharper than most humans. He turned around to go, knowing if he left her now he wouldn't get her off of his mind for a long period of time.

Della watched him leave and a smile began to creep over her face. She looked at the hand he'd kissed but then a feeling of guilt came over her. She looked at the sky while silently apologizing. What would the other angels think of her? She prayed for forgiveness and walked silently home, hoping she would never run into Damien again.
