He grinned. "Then that must make you a cavorting little doe hoping for some adventure or a bear. Either way, you'll get one of those if you stay in here." He held out a hand. "By the way, the name is Shawn. Shawn Vortex"

Susie gave a little laugh at his humor, though she knew what he said about the bears being true. When he introduced himself, she cocked her head slightly. "You're the headmaster, right? I recognize the name."
"Yep. But I have to run now. Since I live in a dorm like the rest of you, I was assigned by the board to have a new roommate. Don't know who yet." He sprinted a ways and turned and waved and continued on runnin.

Susie waved goodbye to the headmaster, but then she heard a noise, the sound of footprints into the forest. She walked further along it. "Hello?" she cried, preparing for anything.
Arthur walked into the dark forest feeling a bit uneasy being there alone but hopefully a 3 mile warning would be enough for him to run away if something that dangerous. "This place is a lot worse than I thought it seems that more than one has approached the school," he said figuring it out by looking at broken trees and odd footprints. "But its strange because only one attacked, maybe they sensed how strong that boy was and they turned around." He started to notice that the forest was surprisingly quiet. Usually you'd be able to hear insects and all sorts of animal sounds. "There's no doubt that something strange is going on," he said to himself.

Tsukiko entered the dark forest warily. She had no weapons to defend herself because carrying a weapon would only serve to provoke whatever was there. "Hm... this is definitely not the same presence as earlier. Its a lot weaker," she said as she stood at the edge of the forest. "Now what? Do I have to attend this school in order to find my master?" She sat under a tree and fell asleep. The dark aura of the forest made her feel at home since she had been surrounded by darkness since she was born.
Shawn walked around slowly. His hand rested on his sword at his hip and he listed for things to hunt.

Although Tsukiko was asleep she awoke when she heard footsteps approaching the forest. She stood up quickly wondering if it was a human or something else. She hid behind a tree. She wasnt supposed to be near this school unless she was enrolled and since she wasn't she couldnt let herself be seen.
Shawn heard a noise and drew his sword. He stalked carefully towards it in the darkness and rain, though most of the raindrops got stuck on the thick canopy above him.

Tsukiko could hear the person getting closer. What should she do in this situation? She didnt have any special abilities like everyone else, she wasnt a demon or anything special she was human. If she was found she wouldn't be able to look for her master, but at this rate she was either going to get killed or found. 'I'm useless. My former master was right I cant do anything right,' she thought. She looked up and saw that there was a low branch so she climbed it. and she kept climbing up until she thought she was safe and out of sight. "At least this way if i'm found I wont get killed," she whispered. Well she could use her daggers if she had them but she had left them behind.
Shawn heard the rustling come from a nearby tree. He stalked up quietly to it before holding his sword defensively. He threw a stick lightly, hoping to provoke whatever it was into coming down.

Tsukiko tried to climb up one more branch but it was too weak and it snapped. She went crashing down with the branch. Although she didnt scream or call for help. She looked like a lifeless doll as she was falling. She closed her eyes and braced herself for the hard slam she'd feel as she hit the ground, "I really am useless," she said.
Shawn stared at the girl that fell in front of him from a second before getting down beside her, shaking her to wake her from her unconsciousness. A piece of brush rattled and he looked up sharply, grabbing his sword keeping it close.
