(Sorry for the bad post!!! I fixed it!)
Trance rolled over in her bed and hugged her large companion, Trigger, who was around 300lbs or so and a Tiglon. "Alright big boy, up an attem!" She coaxed him. He simply snorted a ' Is that so' and didn't budge. She shimmied out of her covers and crawled over him and onto the cold metal floor, stretched and proceeded out of the door to the engine room across the hall. She didn't ever bother to put on a robe over her tank and sleep shorts because no one ever came this way. After checking all the gauges Trance strolled back to her room and got ready for the day. Trigger got up about the time she was finishing up and rubbed his massive head against her tan leg. "You must be starving hu?" Trigger simply gave her a knowing look. Trance proceeded down the halls, stopping at the corners and tracing out a map with her finger in the air to be sure she was headed in the right way to the kitchen, Trigger right on her heels. Once there she pulled out have of a carcass from a giant walk- in freezer and put it onto a giant metal pan piece by piece." There you go boy." He wasted no time in letting it sit, he started tearing the fleshy meat from the bone and chopping away. She patted him on his head and grabbed a muffin and banana from the counter. She looked around noticing it was awful quiet. "Well all be... where's the Captain?"

[[S'ok!]]
Strangeworth couldn't see the naval soldier, so he had to listen. Listen for a reaction to what was going on. The soldier sounded a little younger, and it would be just to assume he had not seen very many of the wonders the galaxy had to offer, such as, for instance, "a light particle-vacuumed camouflage"1 used as the natural defense mechanism of a female humanoid.

"What the hell is-"

That's it. Strangeworth leaned his head forward, low enough to be out of the gun's range and simultaneously stepped quickly to the right. He turned around and got his first good look at the soldier. He was bulky, but young with red hair and a bloated, almost ape-ish face. In the two seconds it took for Strangeworth to re-situate himself, the soldier had corrected his guard, and was now aiming his gun at Strangeworth again.

"Yeah, go ahead and shoot," Strangeworth welcomed with a smile, resting his chin on the top of the barrel, now full with gasoline, standing just a few feet from the soldier. Strangeworth produced an arm from behind the barrel, outstretched with an extension: his laser pistol. He began to creep backward, taking the barrel with him. "Doll... Keep him occupied, if you wouldn't mind."

"Aye Cap'n!" She called gleefully and practically skipped to the young man with the puffy face and ginger hair. Playfully, the shadows pulled themselves away from her face until only her eyes were covered, like a blind fold that she could see threw. She rolled her black stained eyes at their joke. They'd made her into a super hero, or, in this case, a super villain.
Immediately, in quick, twitch-like jerks, he pointed his pistol at her. His eyes had gone wild, shooting back and forth between the woman made of shadows and the eccentric man strolling backwards with the barrel of gas, as if this were all a pleasant stroll through the park for them. Briefly, she thought that really, it was very akin to a stroll in the park, mostly because everything she and the Captain did was somewhat outrageous and illogically purposeful.
She tsked him and clucked her tongue in the most disturbingly seductive way, moving forward slowly, a creeping smile spreading its way from ear to ear. The smile itself was a horrifying mix between beautifully intoxicating and devilishly creepy. "I wouldn't shoot me, you might hit the gas barrel! Oh, and wouldn't that be an unpleasant boom in your life, my dear."
"I have really good aim." he said, straightening his spine proudly, but there was a distinct tremble in his voice.
She glanced back with her peripheral vision, noting that the Captain was no where in sight. When she looked back at the young man from under her thick eye lashes, her black eyes hooded slightly. "Oh, but you couldn't hit me." she laughed, and she watched it send terrified chills through the lad. "Hitting, me would be like hitting, oh, say.. a shadow?" with a grin that oozed evil, she wrapped the shadow around her and sank into their dark arms and into the blackened realm they made their home.
It was pleasant, being in this calm place. No matter where she found herself, this place was constant, ever there, ever being, always forever. She breathed in and closed her eyes. When she opened them, she was back on the dock to the Ellenore.

The captain was back on the Ellenore within a few moments after Doll. The rope, which had been wrapped around his shoulder until now, was gone. He ran into the control bridge and seized the intercom.

"All hands prepare for takeoff. Fifteen minutes."

He began flipping switches and pulling levers. Light went on and engines could be heard humming to life elsewhere in the ship.

Trance jumped up to the sound of the 'red alert' of the sirens and darted down the maze- like halls towards her engine as Trigger was right on her heals, he then turned and headed for the bridge. She flew threw the door and checked her engine for any issues. "Wish that once in a while I could have a heads up!" She yelled into the noise as she made some small adjustments before it got to hot. Moments later she shut the door of the room and walked towards the bridge, wiping the sweat from her brow. As she entered she saw Trigger sitting by the Captain. "Why mornin Captain. So what have you been up to that seems to got us in such a rush? I didn't even get into town yet..." Her voice seemed to trail off as she thought of the parts she wanted for her sweet engine.

Strangeworth took a break from take-off preparations to look over to his side. A large tiger had entered the bridge and casually perched itself nearby the controls. "Oh, hey there, Trigger," Strangeworth greeted the large cat nonchalantly before returning to work.

A moment later he found himself talking to Trance, the tiger's owner. "Good evening. I've been making sure we won't be arrested for taking off. I'm sorry if it's a bit abrupt, but I've been itching to press on. You can go shopping at the next city we wind up in.." He flipped a large toggle. "Get ready."

He leaned over to the intercom microphone. "Two minutes, folks."

On the second navy ship, the one Doll hadn't drained gas from, the two barrels were sitting on the rear deck. The rope, dipping into one of them, was slowly being eaten away by the flame from the Ellenore's newly-sparked thusters. There was a loud pop, and liquid fire spewed all over the deck, causing the other barrel to burst as well. The small ships crew was forced to abandon before the flames ate the rest of the ship.

Doll took a swig of the Coal Juice, winced in pain, and then gave a long satisfied sigh. When they were actually moving, and the Captain was conscious, she didn't necessarily have any demanding responsibilities. The joys of being First Mate, she was relatively useless, unless the Captain was indisposed, then she took on the role of Captain. She was the substitute Captain, so when the Captain was present and competent, she just did whatever he told her to do, which was nothing thus far.
She swiveled back and forth in her chair, leaned back to look at Trance, who had entered the Control Bridge, and Trigger, the huge tiger hybrid... thing. How she'd gotten a hold of the creature was beyond her, since Earth and most of its species was extinct. As usual, she didn't bother to ask. Instead, she went even father against her usual quota and asked the Capatin, "Where to next, Cap'n?" Even though she knew he probably had no idea. He rarely aimed the ship, it just moved and found places where it wanted to go. They were just along for the ride. Sometimes, he did have a destination in mind. Only sometimes though.

Strangeworth shrugged at Doll's question. "We'll found out once we get there." He began backing the ship away and turning it around. He leaned back over to the intercom microphone. "Alright, all hands inside. Primary ascent in three." A female, computerized voice seized the loudspeaker, simply stating:

Please clear the outer decks. Thank you.

"Two." He wrapped his hand around the horizontal, cylindrical top of a large lever near his chair.

"One." He gave the lever a push forward.

The ship curved upward, the engine roaring. Clouds blurred into nothing as the Ellenore raced to be above them. The pink light pollution of Ackardia faded away, turning into a dark blue night sky, and finally, black, speckled with a generous amount of white stars. They were in space.

Though her speed had not let up, the Ellenore seemed to be moving much slower. Rigel V gradually shrunk behind them, but Rigel itself was very stubborn in getting any smaller. It would be about half an hour before it would seem considerably distant.

After a few moments, Strangeworth squinted his eyes at the window ahead and pulled the lever toward him, slowing the ship. "Look!" he said excitedly. Dancing just ahead of the ship were two bouncing balls of white light. As they got closer, the balls took another shape, looking like fish that a kid might keep on his dresser in a bowl. "Photo-minnows..." Strangeworth exclaimed with a scientific wonderment. "These fish feed entirely on the light of the nearest star. Their scales absorb the light as energy and use it to thrive. Little creatures like these guys are what gave me the idea for the Ellenore's power system."

Trance gazed at the marvelous glowing creatures that seemed to swim threw the empty waters of space. Her eyes glowed from the light of the photo-minnow, lighting up her strangely spiraled pupils. " They are so beautiful..." She almost whispered leaning over the Captains chair and resting her head on her arms. Trigger had started licking his chops anxiously at the large meal he was looking at. He then walked up to the window and pushed his face up to it and licked the window like he was just imagining what they would taste like.

Doll leaned forward and watched the creatures swim by. "Creatures find the most interesting ways to survive in space." she said blandly, then narrowed her eyes at the huge cat making nose and tongue art all over the windows. "Are you planning on cleaning that up, Trigger, because other wise, I'm pretty sure Trance feeds you, leave the pretty glowing creatures be, sir." she scolded.
Feeling she had a bit of a snap to her tone, she took a long swig of the Coal Juice, ensuring her buzz was well off, then filled the Captain's up. If she was going to be half delirious, so should he... he was mad anyway.

Sephora floated in the cosmos, her body more fish than person. Her long pink hair flowed around her lumanesent form. The deep blue crystals that bleed small pearl like tears peered into the black empty space. She has always felt this way since she was banished from her home, the planet of deep sea, Oceatoni. She had now floated almost a galexy away and was near starving, her once shimmering scales now looked almost of plaster. She let out a loud whimpering cry into the vast nothing, though she knew none would hear her.

Po measured the diameter of the threaded adapter that would connect hoses to the massive duel engines that made the ship function. she pulled the calipers and watched the indicator intently, then wrote down the measures, so she'd know which size to get when they docked into the Skyport. This adapter was on its last breath, she'd have to track down a new one. They weren't expensive, but they were hard as hell to find, at least for those who were not in the Navy.
"Captain Roderick is still in hiding?" one of the engineers whispered near by, clearly unaware she was there.
"Yes, there are so many rumors, who knows what to believe anymore." a female voice answered. Probably a maid, dropping off a snack for the machine crew. Po narrowed her eyes and fell very still, listening.
"Rumors?" the engineer asked. His curiosity leaked into his voice.
"Yeah, one is how he has some disease, and he gave it to Po, which is why she was in a rage this morning." the maid giggle.
"Oh my, that isn't true at all, I was there when she was stalking through the halls, barely clothed. She was mad about the temperature. She's always irate when he turns the heat off to save power." another engineer piped up.
"Then there's a rumor that he's conducting some odd experiment." the maid continued without pause. "And another that he's dead, and Po doesn't want to deal with the questions. One rumor has it that Po herself killed him." the maid whispered very low.
Po couldn't help it, she erupted into laughter. "Oh, I most certainly would if I could find him. He's probably drank himself into a stupor somewhere." Po came around from the other side of one of the twin engines, caliper in one hand, the other on her hip. "Be a little more creative, wench." Po scolded the maid, who flushed a deep scarlet and rushed off to her neglected duties.
It was then that the loud speaker clicked on. Captain Roderick's voice came over the intercom. "Po! There's a mermaid near by, and I need one of her tears! Go rescue her." he demanded happily, and the speaker clicked back off.
"Feigh transna ort feign!" Po shouted back, shaking her fist, though she knew he couldn't hear or see her. The intercom was only one way.
Po sighed deeply and stalked off to go grab the mermaid, who they were nowhere near yet. So she stood in the wheel house and waited until she saw the sea creature. Then she'd use the Claw to reel her in.

The cry echoed in only her ears. It was almost like what a baby whale would make, but with pain. She felt the claw take hold of her body, she didn't care, she had been floating for so long she was almost dead. She let her eyes close and that was the last thing before the dark sounds of water ringing in her head took her away.

Po felt tall in her thigh high boots with heels, as she bent over the part fish creature, hands on hips, chewing on the inside of her cheek thoughtfully.
"Is it alive?" one of the Techs asked reverently.
Po slowly turned her head to him, not bothering to right herself. "She's is breathing, you idiot." she snarled.
"Wonder if she needs to be be in water or if she can breath air?" another spoke up.
"Oh good, Roderick did hire someone bright, thanks be to the Stop Light God." Po glared at the first tech, who ducked his head sheepishly. "I think we should wake her up and ask. I'm not filling up one of those blasted tanks in Roderick's suite if I don't have to." Po declared and started gently patting/smacking the mermaid's cheeks. "Time to wake up, sunshine!" she sang gleefully.

Sephora took in a large gasping breath as her body morphed. Her tail started spliting down the middle, forming long slender legs as the fin came up into her forming feet. The pinkness of her faded scales were slowly morphed into skin that looked as soft as milk, though her skin felt rough. She looked up at the woman who had brought her around, then to the crew that seemed to stare at her. She covered herself with the closest piece of cloth in an almost daze. "Where am I"
