Zero barely kept anything from showing on his face. So she was half daeva, he needed to get over his negative reaction from when ever their species was mentioned. It wasn’t as bad as it used to be where he would almost attack daevas on sight. However when you watched your family all get killed in front of you by a daeva the feelings tended to linger. He stopped one of the runaway berries and popped it into his mouth. “ah well I’m not used to company so anything would come across as normal behavior.

Reo chuckled to herself. "I see." She saw Zero pop a berry in his mouth. "Don't eat those all now. We'll be needing them." She startted to unearth another bush till a thorn jabbed her inner mouth. "Yeow!" She stumbled back, with more shock then pain. Apparently that bush didn't want to go with them. She licked the roof of her mouth, unaware her face was being stretched and looked ridiculous.

“I’m not just this one, it had already escaped so I figured it was safe” Zero replied a hint of what could have been a smile on his face. He instinctively moved forward a bit to help when he realized there was no serious injury. He turned towards the bush and then the comical expression on her face and lightly shook his head this time with an actual smile. “Well I think they’re only going to let us have this bush”

"I guess so..." Reo sniffled to her self, now the sting was coming, but it was bareable. She let out a sigh. "I'm sure we will find more on the way." She saw the smile on his face and smiled back. Hehe... he was cuter when he smiled. She got off of her butt and shook the grass and dirt from her fur. She also noticed that the sun was starting to set. "I think we should start off tomorrow morning. That way we can be fully rested for whatever we feel like doing tomorrow." She eyed the male. "If you'd like to you can join me in my cave. If not we can find you somewhere else to stay for the night."

“Here let me see your paw” Zero stated taking it pretty much anyways. He reached into his little bag, it had once belonged to a human but they had discarded it and Zero had found a good use for it in storing things, and pulled out a small crushed up herb rubbing it lightly on the thorn injury. “There probably doesn’t need it but that should help with preventing infection as well as numbing it.”
He looked up at the sky and then back down at Reo before beginning to talk again. “Probably best” He finally decided. He probably would have kept going until he was about ready to drop but he should hardly expect that of Reo. “Sure why not” he stated before realizing to what he had just agreed too. He didn’t see anything wrong with it after all it wasn’t as if he was the type to attack vixens or males in their sleep. However it could happen the other way around and weird ideas could come from it. Ah well he would deal with it when it came, if anything happened.

As Zero took her paw, Reo had to try very hard to hide a blush. "Thanks..." That was something different for her. She usually tending to her own injuries and pains, or tending to Reo. It was rather nice having someone else lend a paw. But her signiture mischivous grin started to spread on her face when Zero agreed to staying with her. He might as well get used to it, right? "Ok then, I'll show you were its at." Reo grabbed the bush and headed for her cave, which she knew was empty for Moon was elsewhere.

The blush lightly through Zero off for a bit, as he wasn’t really used to girls blushing on his account, sure back when his family was still alive he got it a couple times. It lightly threw him off and almost produced a nervous blush in his own self. Luckily he was able to keep a straight face. “Ah you’re welcome” he replied and then she was smiling again. He smiled back nervously and wondered again if this is going to be a good idea. “alright lead on then” Zero replied and began following her towards the cave. Ah well better get used to it now

It didn't take long for Reo to get to the cave. She didn't even bother calling for Moon Fi, cause she was going to be gone for a while. With a flick of her head Reo tossed the bush into a pile of other bushes she collected earlier. She looked back at Zero. "It's not much but... Its 'home'." She took the word home lightly. It was a rather small cave. But it was comfertable enough for two, also Moon and Reo got bored with the same place after a while, so a place isn't home for long. "If your still hungry help yourself." She nodded toward the pile of bushes and plopped down on the ground that was worn out from the many nights of sleeping there.

Zero looked around the cave and noticed that there was a pile of bushes that had met the same uprooting fate as the one they had gathered today. It was an easy way to bring back food for a lot of foxes, but since in the heat berries didn’t keep to well for one single fox it was almost a waste. He wondered if there was another fox that shared the cave. A subtle sniff told him that there was in fact another. Oh she had mentioned her sister hadn’t she?
He nodded, in fact still hungry and turned to began eating the berries from one of the plants watching as Reo plopped down on the ground. The cave was devoid of a few things that made him wonder if they traveled around just landing where ever as well.

Reo watched Zero munch on the berries. Maybe be it was a good thing she forgot she didn't really need to hunt for two. Oh well, she was used to it and she really didn't care. "So Zero, when do you feel like heading out?" She was curious. "If you want to stay in the area and go to the mountains or go for a swim at the lake then I'd be happy to show you." She let out a yawn. She was more tired then she thought, though her curiosity of what Zero wanted to do was enough to keep her focused.

A swim did sound interesting at the moment but Zero had caught the small yawn. Where would his manners be if he dragged his host all over the place? “No its okay, I figure some time after breakfast tomorrow, since we don’t really have a destination and the weather looks to hold out there is no real need to hurry. Besides you should get some sleep now and I’ll just catch up on some thoughts that have been running around in my head.” Zero replied. Besides if the offer still held in the morning he could always go swimming then.

"Well, if you insist." Reo laid her head down on her paws and closed her eyes. "Also, if you ever need an ear. Don't hesitate to wake me." She gave him a smile she usually only gave her sister. A caring smile. Reo maybe a little rough around the edges, but she really was kind once one got to know her.

“Well I do insist” Zero nodded and watched as she closed her eyes. He definitely wouldn’t wake her; the thoughts weren’t anything to lose sleep over, especially to help him with. He supposed “the trying to look out for foxes” streak that ran through them came from always helping Ichiru when they were little and being the eldest. Laying his head on his own paws he smiled back and decided Reo wasn’t so bad of a phim after all.

((Mini Time Skip aka Morning))
Reo woke up with her head resting on something soft, which was odd. She opened an eye and saw a black starry patch of fur. "EEP!" She jumped back, and immediatly covered her mouth. Crap... She didn't want the freak to wake up Zero. She sighed to herself, she really never knew that she moved around in her sleep. She felt her face get hot and she nervously look down at Zero. Nnn... I hope he is still asleep... There was no way she was going to head back to sleep, so she stepped outside, but not going to far away from the cave.

Zero struggled with unconsciousness as an Eep caught his attention. He had always been a light sleeper since Ichiru could have gotten extremely sick during the night. Even years after Ichiru was dead (ahem… no he’s not OTL) he had yet to totally get rid of the habit. However since he was on his own there shouldn’t be an eep. Then again if he was on his own shouldn’t it convince him to wake up incase something was amiss anyways. Opening lavender colored eyes extremely slowly he noticed his surroundings finally.
“Ah that’s right I agreed to spend the night in Reo’s cave. She must have been the source of the Eep. Come to think of it it’s a bit colder.” Zero thought to himself and began the process of stretching and finally coming fully awake.
