1v1 League Gold Night vs. Gold Vanity
Haven't played in a week so I lost a lot of games today. The reason I picked this one to upload is not because I won but because I thought I played very well. I was on top of my macro and micro, and in turn multitasking, much better than I usually am. I still have troubles supply blocking myself but not as bad as I used to.
Anyway, gave my Protoss counterpart a real run for his money in the beginning and I have to commend him for sticking around as long as he did. My 5RR harass didn't hurt him economically, unless you consider wasting money on units and rebuilding Pylons eco harass. He was really only able to stop it by bringing out his Void Ray, but revealed it in the process so I was able to take the appropriate steps to counter it.
On a personal note, how the hell was my APM only 66?! I thought I was all over the place. o.O

1v1 League Gold Night vs Gold PandaMarine
Yeeaaah, I dunno what to say about this one. Panda kept trying to go pure Thor+Hellion. Very potent combo except that I was more on top of my upgrades. Also some Baneling hilarity if you're into that.
Edit: God damn. What do I gotta do to get my APM up? Dx
And I'm back in the game! Also, I've noticed lately it keeps putting me on this map in those exact same positions. Weird.

If you want to increase your APM, you gotta think of a football game and a timer. Ask yourself, "When is a good time to get my APM up?" Cuz obviously spamming your APM in the beginning doesnt work... AT ALL!!!"Kick" is like my word of triggering the APM and to start burning my brain cells xP Like in a football game, once you kick the ball, the game begins. Once you plan on when to "Kick", your APM should be higher. Now to get your APM higher, thats like saying, "How do I become a professional sport player?" It takes memorization, thinking, reaction and practice. Practice a lot and your APM would become something like mine (100-200)

Day9 (and other pros) have actually begin suggesting that you try to maintain a lower APM. TLO noting in the recent friendsday wednesday that if he sees two players, one with 140 apm and the other with 80 going at it fairly evenly, he is more impressed by the person with 80 apm.
A lot of apm over 80 becomes unnecessary clicking, and unecessary attention, that if organized properly and calmly that be toned down and even more efficient. It's easier to stay clam, you're more aware and more precise with each action you do.

Okay, that was actually more of a rhetorical question since I continuously beat people when my APM is a fraction of theirs. I only ask cuz I feel like I'm all over but then find out it's a really low number. I've always felt APM to be a completely unnecessary and arbitrary measure of one's ability. Totally useless.JrSuper Practice a lot and your APM would become something like mine(100-200) As if I needed an excuse to not be like you. I'd rather be me.

APM was quite a bit more important in SC:BW, because of how the game flowed. There was no auto-mining drones and probes when they popped out, there was no hotkey that could hold multiple buildings, etc.
A pro gamer used to need average around 200 APM. But in SC2, you just don't NEED that much. You can hold the whole economy of your game in just a couple hotkeys and your entire army in one. You honestly don't need 100 anymore. There were great players who could have 80 APM in Brood War because their rhythm of the game was so spot-on. Now an 80 APM player could literally rock your world without feeling hurried at all.

kenjiro yume You can hold the whole economy of your game in just a couple hotkeys and your entire army in one. You don't want to hotkey your entire army in one key :[ its not the best idea >.>

I hotkey my army based on what I want to do. Main army is 1, of course, air units are 2, and specialized units like Infestors or Banelings are 3. I have to try and keep it down like that cuz the next available group to put my units in is 7.

Having your whole ground army in one hotkey isn't the best idea either, because if you have lots of speedlings, supplemented by roaches or banelings, in the same hotkey, s**t gets a little ******** up.
You can't just 1a in, because you'll end up attacking in waves.
I good idea is to try and save 1-4 for your armies, have 1-2 for your main ground, 3 for a harass team, and 4 for spell caster units.
The reason you split up your main ground, is so you can have 1 for speedlings, and 2 for roaches, banelings, hydra, ultra, which all move roughly around the same speed, this way you can 2a, wait a few seconds, 1 a in and have all your units converge at once. Also, it allows you to 2a, 1move to get a full surround, or to wrap from the behind, and get a stronger flank.
3 is your harass team, whether it be mutas, or a smaller speedling force to keep the expos down, or it could be a handful of burrow roaches, or whatever you use to maintain the pressure and harass.
The set up I've been trying to practice with is
1 speedling 2 main ground 3 muta or harassment speedlings, or supplmentary main ground for say banelings or something 4. infestors 5 hatcheries 6 queens 7 evo chambers 8 spire or empty 9 nydus 0 overseers

When I need to time things that closely I just control click the unit(s) I need to go in first. And I suppose I could bump my hotkeys up one but I'm already so set in my ways.

1v1 League Platinum Biohazard vs Gold ******** the timings on my 14 pool 15 hatch BO. Thought I was a little more behind than I was until I noticed he still hadn't taken his nat so I started to push a little harder. But he put on a pretty decent Phoenix contain so I brought out my first Nydus play in a long time.

1v1 League Platinum Biohazard vs Silver ZomBear
This guy had an AWESOME contain on me from the very beginning. If he had pushed just a little harder I'd have been toast. However, his micro was seriously lacking and once I got Mutas out the game was mine.

Siestta kenjiro yume You can hold the whole economy of your game in just a couple hotkeys and your entire army in one. You don't want to hotkey your entire army in one key :[ its not the best idea >.> Unless you 1a in and then manually jump in with your mouse and keyboard and use 1337 micros.

1v1 League Gold Biohazard vs Gold SteelBovine
So Blizzard decided that since I can't handle them giving me fifteen of my worst matchup in a row I should be demoted to Gold. ********. -.- Anyway, I'm questing my Plat ranking again.
Steamrolled this guy. Constant Zergling harass kept this guy under pressure. He got a few good hits in, like the loss of my expansion, but a quick Spire turned the tide in my favor.
