Dear Live journal wanna be, So. I got the baby. The Fourth Wall kid... Turns out my application wasn't as s**t as I thought it was? Works for me, man. I was feckin' excited when I got that phone call from Miz Karma. So I ran my skinny butt down there and ...well, I don't know WHY I was so excited. It's just another kid, y'know. Maybe the fact that he was from another realm entirely made it more exciting. Mordread always loves babies and HE was certianly excited so... I went and got the kiddlet. I dunno what I was expecting - another bird, maybe? I mean, my luck has been leaning towards birds... iamel and Lahela, you know? Maybe a horse. It was a meerkat. A ******** MEERKAT. Like Timon and Pumba, hula dancing mother ******** meerkat. A cute little ball of white and black fluff - a goddamn meerkat! It was the cutest. Bloody. Thing. Alive. Right now, he's just sleeping a lot. He makes little 'churr' and 'chirrup' noises and hes been eating some of Iamels crickets. Bird-boy doesn't take too kindly to that but, as I explained, it just meant he was trying to be as cool as his big brother. Iamel relented. Thus far..Akilah hasn't shown any psychoness that Karma warned me about. He's been rather quiet. Calm. Composed. I think I like this kid. -Patrick.

JESUS ********, LIVEJOURNAL.
What the ******** has that kid been snorting?! WHAT, I ASK YOU.
Okay. Okay. CALM, Patrick. CALM.
So we put the kids to bed. All is well, so we assume. Let's pretend, audiance, that Patrick put the chitlins to bed, went to his own bed and got some sweet, sweet Mordie loving. That would've been an amazing night to a...a hyper day.
We thought that, y'know, all kids get a little wired sometimes. So Akilah squealing and chirruping and whatever the hell he does was fine - chitlins make noise. Lahela makes noise, Iamel would've, Akuti would've, I probably did from time to time. it's all good.
But once we put him to bed... The kid started wailing. Not just screaming, but this long a**, chittering banshee wail of something about to be pummeled with a bar of soap in a prison and assraped. So, of course, Mordread and I ran in there, panicked, half-clothed and what the ******** do we see?
A little meerkat, holding onto his binkie and that blanket of his, shaking them and shrilling out s**t like it's no bodies business. The minute he saw us, he stopped. And giggled. I picked him up anyway, cause he might be scared or whatnot. Wasn't hungry. Wasn't anything.
He started climbing. On. My. Head.
What happened to kids that couldn't walk or anything? Mordread was laughing, of course, while this furry sunovabitch was clambering over my face and chittering into my ear like I was some ******** god that...that..I dunno. I had a GOOD analogy, but ********, I had to pry the little buttnugget outta my hair - him still making those little clicking and whistling noises and trying to paw at my head, like I was a ******** pinata, and had to put him back into bed.
Cause bed time is bedtime and these furry things are supposed to sleep at night, not play.
So again, he screeched. He had Iamel pissy, so I told Mordie to go to bed and I went intot he living room and played 'climb on the disgruntled black man' for about an hour and a half until he got tired enough for me to put him back to bed.
Climbing includes biting, clawing, being whistled, trilled and cooed at, even before a first date.
And no Mordie ********. Little furry ******** was right. This kid is hyper out the a**. Hes snorting pixie dust or he ATE tinkerbell or something.
No child should be that goddamn psycho at eleven at night, especially when he had just eaten and played with Lahela for hours. I think we're gonna have issues when this little brat learns how to crawl.
Right now he can turn himself over and sit up a bit but...that's it. No crawling yet.
I fear that day.
-Patrick

"Now, what should we buy for the foxkit, Akilah?" Patricks voice rang through the large toy store like a drop of water sounded in the ocean - it was just a small ripple in the tide of things. There they were, in one of the biggest toy stores in the world, and he had a baby meerkat strapped to his chest. If that wasn't odd enough, he had all of the colorful bits put into place and was wearing arm jewelry, plenty of rings, his glasses and a mesh shirt. His wallet was hidden by Akilahs baby bag - diapers and some crickets for him to injest, a comb, detangler... anything that he could and would need before the end of the night when they returned for the night.
They were both on a mission this day - Mordread had ordered them to find decorations for the new babies bedroom. Sure, depending on the gender, it'd be rooming with Lahela and Akuti or with Akilah, but the baby needed his own side of the room to call his own - something decorated just to suit him. Maybe pick up a toy here and there.
Akilah craned his head up to see his father and his lips split into a wide grin, hands banging on the taunt rubberish, mesh covered material that was strapped to his stomach, holding him there firmly. When he saw he had Patricks full attention, the baby-sized meerkat shrieked happily. The sound was loud and piercing, falling to an end with a happy chitter of baby meerkat. A little bundle of white and black fluff, Akilah burrowed back against his father, chippering out with a pleased little croon when the others in the store stopped to look at him.
He liked the attention. Patrick, however, did not. Dark eyes rolled and his one hand fell to the baby bag where the little ghost and wand were resting, calmly, between the diapers and the bag of crickets. He didn't trust it at home, with the children and only one mordread to keep an eye on all of them. It would be scary as hell, oh yes. Patrick didn't want to come home to see chaos ensuing...thus..he had at least the psycho meerkat with him while Akuti visited the superstition store and Iamel...hopefully Iamel was playing a video game. Ugh.
Akilah, bored with the surroundings, squealed again, this time demandingly. Patrick got the clue and got moving. What he was looking for would be difficult... The kid was going to be foxified, right? Japanese, he knew that, and...well...a fox. He'd want something warm and soft and ********' hell...damnit.." His voice was soft while one hand went to ruffle the shrieking and giggling meerkat pup. It soothed Akilah marginally, that nearly prehensile tail waving happily from the little hole he cut for it on the sack the other was strapped into. "What can you get for a baby? A rag doll?"
That sounded like a good idea. To the toy area it was, then. There weren't too manny people in the way and those who found themselves pressed too close to the little cute thing on Patricks chest soon found themselves being churr'ed at in a very unhappy tone by that little cute thing. Sadly, none of the 'boy' aisles were equipped with rag dolls - or dolls of any sort. Instead, they went to the rather gender nuetral aisle filled with stuffed animals, toys and plastic balls.
Akilah was fasinated by the plastic balls, grabbing and trilling at a bright purple plastic ball that was about the size of his head (minus the ears). Figuring it was harmless to let the kid ******** around with the toy, Patrick grabbed it and handed the ball to the chirrupnig (now very pleased) little meerkat as his eyes scoured the shelves.
Something in the back of the third row up caught his eyes. Behind the barbies and cheaply made plastic horses, someone had stuck a pair of plush asian-appearing dolls. They were simplistic in style, with yarn-like hair and small beaded eyes. One was dressed in a small pink kimono outfit with matching shoes and a hand-bag. The other was dressed in a chinese outfit, dark red, with the same hair and matching shoes. Min-ling, the second was called, and the first was Kiko? They even sang when you squished them!
It was just right for a baby - it made noises that weren't painful to the ears, soft, pliable, easy to chew on and were dressed the way of the kids natural place to live. What else could he ask?
The 200g each was a bonus.
"Perfect!" He huffed triumphantly, mind wrenching back to the present when he heard teh squeal of Akilahs sharp little teeth rake over the tough plastic of that little ball. The dark man flinched and pushed himself off with a soft grunt. "Stop that, Akilah... We have at least ONE toy... you have to put that back.." When Patrick tried to tug the ball away - the little ******** bit him!
BIT him! "YEOWCH!" He shrieked, jumping up about two feet into the air. Akilah, satisfied that he had preserved his ball, just chittered at him and went back to gnawing on the ball.
"...right. The dolls and the ******** ball. Gotcha. Spoiled little fluffy s**t."
"Churrrr."

"Hey there, handsome." Patricks voice was a nearly paternal as he swooped down on the half-snoozing little meerkat who was sprawled out on the floor. Akilah was clutching onto his purple ball that had been purchased earlier, even while he was dozing.
He chirped quietly when he felt the dark arms wrap around him, wide eyes slowly sliding open to make sure it was his father. Small clawed hands tightened on the ball, making the thick plastic squeak a little and he looked back up to the other once more, stretching out against him with a little murmur.
"You're cute when you're tired, did you know that?" He was speaking in a low, pleasent little tone, hands moving to rub through the meerkats fur. The movement made him croon, shivering and arching close as the dark mans hands went to his stomach, petting and rubbing at the sensitive tummy.
A soft churr once more, arching close as his eyes slowly slid closed in a sleepy, contented way that most children did when a place was being petted that they enjoyed.
He WAS cute when he was sleepy, a limp warm weight in the boys arm, stretched out and clutching that little purple and yellow ball close to his thin chest. His tail was curled just slightly, touching his fathers wrist while those dark ears laid back easily without seeming hostile.
Akilah was relaxed when he was sleeping, baby snores leaving his snort, slightly pointed nose. Patrick grinned, slowly rising to his feet with the child cradled against him, fingertips still stroking through the still-downy white and tan fur.
"Krrrpt?" He churred once more, clutching the ball protectively before curling up against Patricks chest. And, despite the havoc the little fuzzy assed brat could wreck, he melted once more. Despite the memories of the little thing trying to gnaw off his fingers (or gnaw off Mordreads damned tail)...he was just so cute. At least he wasn't some screaming brat that demanded attention, although he churred out a great deal when he felt he was being ignored.
The little ******** often felt he was ignored, giving high pitched squeals and chirrups to the closest person, arms flailing, tail curled and looking for all the world as if he had just seen his puppy get run over. Even Iamel gave him attention then, if only because the noise irritated him to no end. More often then not, the larger Gaurdian of death would pick up the shrieking meerkat and shove him into Patricks arms before stalking off somewhere to sulk.
"Bedtime, kidlet." The short man hummed, feeling the kid and the hard plastic of the ball cuddle up closer to him as he moved into the second bedroom. Akuti was already asleep, sprawled out on her bed with both her horse-legs kicked up, covers twisted over her. She wasn't snoring, although her mouth was open and there was some drool that Patrick ignored. A small light shone in the corner of the room where Iamel was curled up in his many blanketed 'nest', reading by a flashlight in the center. He didn't bother snapping it off when he knew his father was there.
Lahela, flat on her back and dead asleep, a stuffed cricket clutched into her hand. Patrick smothered a grin as he surveyed around, their last night in the apartment where all of them had been brought to him. Their last night in this little room, all together.
And hopefully, this last night Akilah would stay asleep, damnit. 'Stay' was the operative word and Patrick didn't want to push it. So, carefully, he moved to the crib Lahela and Akuti shared this last night, as quietly as possible pushing the side down and tenderly putting the child into the crib.
He stirred, light fur floofing up for a brief minute until it finally smoothed down, small frame giving a sleep-sigh. Akilah relaxed against the cushion of his crib, arms going lax on his plastic ball. Even still, Patrick didn't even try to remove it.
Instead he simply picked up the covers Lahela wriggled out from and tucked it around the two snoozing babies. This time, the bird anthro stayed asleep, without moving under the covers. Akilahs eyes slid open, one paw flexing on the ball before they fell closed over his eyes again and he fell back into the arms of the Sandman.
A brief smile flirted his lips before the side was pulled back up, Patrick glancing to Iamel and the small light that indicated where the boy was. "G'night, Iamel. Try to get some sleep, alright?"
There was silence before the light flicked off, a tired, quiet voice replying. "G'night, Shiniee."

Dear live journal wanna be,
So...the wispy thing went into something Ianna calls a 'baby ghost'. Supposedly that means I'm like one 'stage' away from getting a baby, according to the lovely wand shop owner herself.
I can hear whispers in my head. Baby talk. Pictures and feelings that this little fox thing is experiancing - I still think it's a boy. I've started calling him Yashima in my head, and when I talk to him. He doesn't seem to mind.
Lahela and Coailiann have become friends..whenever I go to the Wand Shoppe, she's with me, squealing and bouncing and ever so happy with her friend and she's learned to speak!
Oh, yes. My little fluffy feathered baby has learned how to say "********", "kill" and "no", all in one go. Mordread has yet to find out - thank god. He'll kill me when he finds out that whenever Lahela sees Coailiann she screams out, "******** KILL!"
It's scary, man.
I'm taking her back to the island sometime this week or two...she needs to get back and visit. Ruby'll probably be thinking I'm trying to EAT her or something.
PSH. Anyway. Baby ******** kill. Akilah is PSYCHO.
-Patrick.

"Ow! Akilah! Stop!" The howls of the poor, poor Patrick could be heard as he was heading towards the Fourth Wall center, wincing as his fuzzy mouthful of a son clutched onto his head.
Akilah had taken a strong liking for clinging to the dark mans head, nails digging into Patricks lower jaw, paws twisted in his thick mat of hair and his little tail curled slightly as he rode on the others shoulders, "Churt!" He chortled happily, wriggling on Patrick as they continued moving.
"Damnit.." He swore, softly. The last time he had said anything bad, Akilahs older sister had started repeating it. In front of the boyfriend. Ugh. Talk about a baaaad night. "Karma was right after all - you're a psycho little ...thing! Ow!"
Hands, decorated by plastic bracelets and golden armbands, reached up to try and grab the nimble little child. While Akilah wasn't quick on his feet, as he couldn't crawl too well and mainly wriggled himself on the floor or used his hands to climb, he WAS strong. At least, strong for something clinging to anothers head. The pierced man winced slightly, letting his hands drop as a lost cause. Instead, he grabbed the door to the center, twisting it open for a minute.
Akilah chirped.
Patrick grumbled as he ducked into the center, dark eyes fluttering about before moving further inside. Akilah churred in delight, little butt bouncing slightly as he tugged at his fathers hair. He remembered this place! This is where he met his daddy.
"CHRRRRPT!"
"SHush!"
"Can Mommy buy a new book ? Can she ? Can she ?" Jacosa asked again and again as they moved through the streets. Andraste felt very tired and desperately needed to visit the bathroom. Within the last few days the desire to use a toilet more regularly had become stronger and she wondered if she had some kind of disease.
"How about going into the Fourth Wall building and we look if you can meet some friends ?" She gritted her teeth and pushed the otter towards the said building. Jacosa pushed against the door and slipped inside the warmth. Were people here already ?
Andraste followed and smiled very relieved as she noticed a man and a...fuzzy thing. "I'm Cosa. You ?" The otter quickly toddled towards the pair and didn't even notice that his mother excused herself and ran towards the bathroom.
Patrick paused when he heard others voices, turning around to look curiously at the woman and the...walking otter? Holy crap. Shock showed on the multple pierced man but it was quickly replaced by a faint smile.
In one swift movement, he was crouching down to peer at Jacosa more curiously, head tilted to the side. Akilah grumphed his agrivation at being put sideways. "My name is Patrick. This is Akilah. Say hello to Cosa, Akilah."
Akilah paused, small hands twisted as his legs let go of his fathers neck. He leaned over, nose outstretched to sniff quickly at Jacosa. Like him! It was like him! ...kinda. "Chirrpt?" He crooned, tail sticking partially up. Then his lips split into a childish grin and he giggled - giggled! - before chirruping again.
Jacosa liked to be in center of attention and his tail wiggled slightly as he took a deep breath to identify the little creature on the man's head. It was furry and small, but it wasn't an otter, was it ?
"Heylo. Padtrik and Akeela." Although he didn't pronounce the names right away it was obvious that he was glad to meet them. He waved towards the little one in a friendly way. His ears twitched as he heard the strange word and he wrinkled his nose. " Whatsa...chirrpt ?"
It definately had to be something funny, because the other one giggled. Jacosa liked laughing and so he just joined in and grinned in a naive way.
"Chirrpt and stuff is all he can say right now. He's just a baby and can't even crawl. He can climb though." He winced lightly as small, sharp paws dug into his skull to prove that. Akilah was leaning further over to peer at Jacosa even closer, both black ears up to study this bigger thing.
"Furpt?" He asked curiously, nose wrinkling up to smell at Jacosa curiously. Patrick winced once more and finally grabbed at the little meerkat, pulling him off of his head and onto the floor. There, Akilah stared up at Jacosa, black eyes wide.
This thing was TALL! And we all know what to do with tall things. CLIMB THEM!
So try he did. Arms latched around Jacosa, chirruping, as he wriggled and tried to climb his way up him.
"Gah! Akilah, let go!"
Oh that was the problem. He was a baby. Jacosa scratched his head and nodded to prove that he had understood. Everyone was able to do cool things on land. The otter smirked, because he was only good at swimming and diving and...he was able to read now !
"Me can read now. A bit. Not good, a bit." The boy smiled proudly and didn't seem to be irritated at all as he stared at the little meerkat. This one was really small, but it had big eyes and that looked nice. Jacosa knew from the mirror that he had big dark eyes as well.
But suddenly something hit his foot and Jacosa winced. It had sharp thingies ! The otter squealed and tried to kick the meercat of and it really looked like he performed a strange dance. The claws didn't hurt too much, because he owned a thick fur, but the surprise had been quite a shock for the small one. "Eeeeeeeeeh...."
Holy cow! It was a ride! The big fluffity brown thing (he..thought it was brown anyway - baby eyes weren't too good with color yet) was giving him a ride! Akilah squealed in utter joy as he was thrown up and down against this things leg, using his strong fingers to try and propel himself up.
Patrick squaked in shock and tried to grab his son. Firm fingers wound about the meerkat and pried under his stomach, delicately trying to pry the child off. Akilah simply squealed and clutched tighter - until a finger wrapped around his tail threateningly.
Eyes snapped open and there was a squeak right before he released the otters leg and all but flew back against Patrick, with the force the other had been trying to tug him away. The dark man cradled his squeaking son close, giving Jacosa an apologetic look. "I'm really sorry, Cosa. He climbs everything. But you can read? That's good! Reading is fu--"
Akilah, now out of shock of being tugged and pulled and FLYING, stared up at his father, then back to his new climby thing. It took another second to register that he was no longer climbing and thus...started to wail. Small arms started flailing and he wriggling, still screech-wailing his 'pain'.
Jacosa sniffed and was more than relieved as the furry ball was gone from his leg. He sat down and stared at his leg with disbelief. This little one was so STRONG already. There were a few markings were the claws had been and the otter looked around to look for his mother. She probably was still at the bathroom.
His lower lip trembled for a while before he heard the man's voice and just looked curiously. "Is okay." He mumbled and quickly turned to Akilah. He wasn't just strong, he was loud as well.
Jacosa crawled towards the man and the baby and sat down beside them looking at the meercat with interest. He didn't know about babies a lot and probably they weren't allowed to be kicked and pulled and so on. "Ouch ?" The otter asked with concern and tried to move one paw close to the grey one.
"Are you okay, Cosa, I know his nails hurt like..anything.." There were fresh little cuts on his chin and jaw from just that day - Akilah enjoyed the clinging and the like. Patrick was worried about the little otter; he knew how much Iamel despised being hurt or anything like that. "If you're hurt I have..bandaides of something..somewhere..."
But Akilah was shutting up, miraculously. When he saw the otter come over, unafraid to be clung to again, the little meerkat sniffled softly at the others words. Ouch? Did his loud wailing noises mean ouch? "Prrourch?" he whimpered, trying to imitate the other. But he was young still and he was concentrating more on his ability to move then to speak... But it was close enough.
The paw was met with a curious expression, still sniffling as small paws moved out to pat at the larger, otterish paw. Patting commenced as he turned it this was and that and then...went back to petting it. "Prrourch!" He declared once more, still studying the hand as he gave one more pat and a giggle."Prrrrrrrouch!"
Jacosas name was now Prourch. Congratulations.
Jacosa looked at the small scratchs again and shook his head. "Cosa tried to fly and ran 'gainst wall. That hurt." He grinned a bit and then turned his attention back to the baby. "Is Keela otter ?"
He had met horses and pandas and frogs, but never an Akilah before. As his paw was touched he smiled a bit and nodded. That was much better than being hurt. Jacosa started to giggle as he heard the funny word and nodded. "Yeah, ouch. No do to me." He was sooo big already and he could teach the little one. That was cool, he wanted one of these too.
"..I can imagine it hurt," His voice was wry, grinning down at where his little meerkat brat was patting and playing with Jacosas hand like it was his new toy. He BETTER still like that ball he threw a fit about. "Nope. He's a meerkat. They're usually a lot smaller then he is," Akilah was about a foot in size already - that's how big adult meerkats were, "But he's a special case, like you."
"Prrourch." he huffed, nose wrinkling up and wriggling a little, like a bunny. "Prrrourch no! Chirrt." He was mainly talking to himself now but...ah well. The small fluffball wrestled himself free of his fathers light hold to crawl onto Cosas hand. Flop. Like a lazy kitty. Just..clinging to his arm. "Prrrourch no."
"Yes, did hurt." Jacosa smiled although the memory wasn't a nice one. The otter was an optimist though, but sometimes it seemed like he just didn't understand what everyone talked about. A meerkat ?
"Oh...hey cat." He greeted the friend and giggled as suddenly a someone clinged to his arm. Jacosa had no clue what the other one was talking about but it seemed like he was fond of cuddling. The other paw was extended and he looked at Patrick just as if he asked for allowance to pet Akilah. Jacosa didn't want to break the other one and make him wail again.
Patrick nodded encouragingly at the silent offer, grinning once. "Petting calms him down. Makes him vibrate, kinda like a cat."
Akilah looked up curiously at the mention of a cat. He'd seen cats! "Crrrrpt?" He wriggled once more, little prehensile-ish tail curling once, twice before he peeked over at Jacosa, stretching out slightly against him.
PETS! He squeaked happily, wriggling again and let go of his arm to twist around, showing the even whiter underbelly. "PRRRT!"
Jacosa liked to be stroked as well, but usually everyone went through his hair. He tried to remember if his belly had been petted yet and without doubt he just had been tickled. The otter thought about it for a moment and finally decided that he didn't had a clue how to pet a cat properly.
But as Patrick told him to go on, he tried. The paw was placed gently on the meercat's white belly and he moved it slightly. This definately felt funny to the sensitive parts of Jacosa's hands.
Andraste reappeared and slowly moved out of the bathroom. Hopefully Jacosa hadn't start to eat toys again. She sighed and looked at the scene. Wow ! "Hey, sorry for running off like that."
Akilah stretched out and started wriggling in pleasure before collapsing on the others leg with a happy noise. Skin fluffed up before going glat against his paw, almost purring like a kitten.
Now that his son was limp and content with being petted like a housecat, Patrick was able to relax. Petting of the stomach was his sure-fire way of shutting the little brat up and - oh, look. Person. He twisted around slightly, glancing at the woman with a faint smile.
"Hello. You must be Cosa's mother. I'd stand and shake your hand but... I'm Patrick. This is Akilah."
"Lookit Mommy, I stroke Keela." Jacosa whispered and smiled at his mother. He had known she'd come back, she was at the bathroom often now. In the mornings she made strange noises and came back pale. Sometimes he wondered if she ate soap.
Right now he concentrated on the meercat though and continued petting the little one. His paw made small circles as it moved through the fur and he bit his lip, because this was very exhausting. Don't push too much, but push at all.
Andraste nodded and kneeled down. "Andraste, nice to meet you. You know Jacosa already. Pretty meercat."
"He's a delightful child - and tons quieter then my little ball of Mufasa-munch." Patrick grinned and glanced up to Jacosas face, lips quirking into a faint smile.
"You don't have to pet anymore..he fell asleep." A quiet laugh and he moved to touch the otters paw gently. "That's how we get him into bed without screaming actually. Thank you, Cosa. He only falls asleep for people he likes."(More when we finish/continue)

It's coded with Wasa and I until Sosiqui came in - then it became seperate posts to have it make more sense. <3A check up. It seemed smart. Not required of course, but wise to just bring him by and let the agency see that he wasn't being gutted and cooked as fruit bats are in some cultures.
Arun padded into the building behind Wasa, a thumb-claw hooked over her hand as he struggled to keep up. Bipedalism was his newest phase. The more people he saw walking about the house, the more he wanted to be walking to. It had taken quite a bit of practice due to his rather late start, but at a record of 10 minutes on two legs he was feel pretty proud of himself. "It's a MILLION steps. I did a MILLION wasabee!"
"Stop chewing my hair! OW!" Patricks voice wasn't one of pleasure as the two meandered into the center, a good distance behind Wasa and Arun. The dark man was trying to dislodge the little clinging mammal from his hair, hopping around the sidewalk like a monkey himself. "Akilah! Stop it!"
"Fravrite!" He squealed, voice still somewhat lispy from just learning to sound out some English. 'Favorite' (or a childlike version of) was the newest word he learned...out of the two. Ah well. What could you do?
Akilah did stop chewing once they got inside, though, small paws moving to clutch at Patricks hair instead, squealing aloud once more, a sharp litle chirruping sound.
"Jesus, Akilah...that hurt." The taller man was grumbling still, reaching up to grab the small thing from his head, pushing the door open with his hip. "Hello?"
Wasa turned her head over her shoulder, unable to turn fully lest she cause her young charge to topple over. "Yes?" It was hard to see whom she was addressing. Her periphreal vision was shot.
Arun turned his head as well in a near perfect mirror of Wasabineko. "It'sa monkey... and smaller monkey."
Ohthankgods. More life other then just him. He gave a faint sigh of relief, "Nothing, nevermind me. Just seeing if there was any more life in here then--"
"EEEE!" The little meerkat bounced from his straddling position on the back of his fathers head, small feet-paws curling near his jaw. "Eeee! Foof!"
"Glah! Yes, Yes, Akilah, yes, something that isn't Cosa and your sister owowowow let go of my hair--"
"Eeeee!"
He winces slightly, head shaking lightly in hopes making the childs hand loosen a bit, "I'm sorry, he just doesn't.."
Arun blinked and then pointed up at the man's head, looking to Wasa for an explination. "All baby like Kazu?"
"Er..."
"I not like Kazu..." His face scrunched up in disgust at the thought. Kazu, the little lemur-child who also hailed from the rift in the wall, was a constant terror and bane to the more reserved Arun.
"Also er." Wasa smiled sheepishly. Arun had his moments.
"AM NOT!"
"Kazu?" Patrick blinked a little bit, momentarily taken away from his pain of the hair tearing, "He's just excited about seeing people who aren't his siblings is all.."
Akilah continued to tug at his fathers hair, but the high pitched squealing had tapered off. Strong little arms moved, clinging and clutching to move, perching and peering over at Arun. "Foof?" The meerkat churred, small semi-prehensile tail curling up behind him, small self wriggling.
"Foof?"
A sigh, grabbing the child swiftly from his head. AKilah squealed but didn't try to writhe away, wide eyes still on ARun. He was fluffy! There were things on his arms! BIG THINGS! And he spoke like Jacosa!
Arun blanched. Why did all little fluffy monkey things give him that look? First Saara, then Kazu, now this little stripped weasel. It was only a matter of time before looking gave way to chasing. But, he was resigned to his fate. He was a big brother now, and big brothers had to treat babies nice. With lip trembling he let go of Wasa's hand, faced the Akilah, and made clear his one request. "Please don't bite me!"
Patrick looked surprised at the request - Akilah just looked confused. Bite? What was this bite he spoke of? ...granted, Akilah had just bit patricks lover the other night but... he didn't think much of the stupid cat boy.
The human crouched down to face Arun, studying him curiously. "You're very brave to face something you think is going to bite you...but I think Akilah likes you. He growls at people he doesn't like. He won't bite you."
Indeed, the small meerkat was leaning closer, nose wrinkling as he tried to pick up the scent of the other, sniffing at him.
Arun nibbled on the edge of his own wing nervously as Akilah sniffed about him. He wasn't particularly reassured by Patricks words. "He'sa baby? So many babies!" He flopped down on his rump hopelessly. "There Kazu... and cas... and Wasabee say MORE babies coming!"
"That's the way of things," The scientest affirmed, voice mournful. "Babies always come, no matter what you do. But Akilah here's gonna grow up and be big like you - he won't be a baby forever."
"Fevah!" Akilah churred happily, wriggling free of his father and wriggling over to Arun. Sniffsniffsniff... Glee lit up on the meerkats face, small hands reaching out to pat at the others finger hook curiously. "Foof? Foof fevah!"
"Is not a hoof!" Arun chirped indignantly, completely misunderstanding the other's gibberish. "Isa THUMB" He spread his arms wide, stretching out the webbing between his fingers. "I got special hands. Wasabee say so."
Wasabineko gave Arun a little pat in the head, deciding, for once, to let the little bat boy fight his own battle. The meerkat child didn't look to a terribly formidable opponent. He was indeed just a baby. She took a couple steps towards the wall and collapsed into a waiting chair. "At least he has confidence..."
Sosiqui ((Okay, let's try this. ^^; I may be slow because my back is sore and it is quite distracting, but hey.)) The child should meet more of her own kind. That was Sosiqui's motivation for bringing Kurrin back to the 'shop' for the first time since the platypus was an egg. It was a bit awkward, really - what if nobody was there? Sure, most places of this nature on Gaia had their children congregate at their place of origin, but... She pushed the door of the center open carefully, with Kurrin's webbed hand tucked into her own. The platypus had decided the stroller was "no good!" and she was "big girl no need wheel!", much to her relief since the thing had been really hard to push through snowy and icy streets. "Hello?" "HIIIIIII," Kurrin screamed, and Sosiqui cringed. "No! Inside voice! Inside!" She pinched Kurrin's beak shut with two fingers. "Mmmf."
nozomi_ga_kanau "Foom?" THe meerkat churred, looking a bit baffled. He was coming to with something of a lisp but that would work itself out eventually. "Foom! Foom foof!"
He giggled quietly, little black ears perching up slightly as his paws moved to grab at the others hand. Well... He tried to. The baby was small and could hardly even crawl - his arms were strong but his legs were still learning. "Foofie! Fwwoooom! Poof!"
Patrick grinned a little, standing up slowly and taking a step back before glancing up at Wasa. Her body language indicated tiredness...who couldn't, with a child to raise? While Arun seemed quiet enough now, Patrick knew how children could change when it came to things like bathes or sleeping.
"Confidence is a good thing," A brief smile brushed the mans pierced lips, hands sliding into his pockets easily. "He's adorable."
Both meerkat and humans head swiveled at the sounds of new people. Patrick just blinked. Akilah squealed and tried to wriggle closer to the (slightly) more familier fruit bat. "Eeek!"
Wasabineko Arun squirmed as the meerkat bumped against him. "No bite no bite!" He wanted to be perfectly clear on the matter. His existance was to be gnaw free for as long as he could manage. As the new pair entered he crossed his wings infront of his poncho and peered. What was this new creature toddling beside the tall monkey? It was bigger than a baby... why... it was even slightly bigger than he! And and and... his eyes squinted even tighter... a bill! No teeth meant no bites! Overcome with excitement he thrust one wing up in the air and waved it back and forth. "Hihihihi HI!"
Sosiqui Kurrin pulled free from her guardian and ran over to Arun and Akilah, discarding her uncomfortable boots on the way, her bare webbed feet making loud slapping noises on the floor. "Who you?" she asked bluntly, pointing at each person and child in turn. "Manners," Sosiqui reminded her, coming up from behind with the haggard look of someone who has had Enough Child for one day.
nozomi_ga_kanau "Nu brite!" Akilah agreed cheerfully, although he had no bloody clue what it meant. The little mammal wriggled still, grabbing at his own tail and hauling it foreward, twisting to peek further at Kurrin.
"...fwoof! Fwooooof!" He squealed once more. More fluffies! Well..more like him! They smelled kind of like him - funfunfun!
Patricks eyes were on the child for a moment, glancing up to Sosiqui with a faint smile. Kurrin got the attention momentarily. "I'm patrick and the little squealing thing is Akilah. Who might you be?" Wasabineko Arun didn't need Wasabineko's help to introduce himself. He puffed out his chest, determined to make a good impression on the other not-a-monkey-baby. "'M Arun" He patted his shawled front with his wing and slicked back his ears. "an 'M older than a baby." He then nudged Akilah with his foot slightly, not wanting to lose the girl's attention for too long "An tha'sa baby." Sosiqui "That baby Akeeelah," Kurrin declared, pointing at the meerkat. "That not baby. That Arun." She looked up at Sosiqui for reassurance that she was, in fact, correct. "Good job," Sosiqui agreed, giving the other parents a 'kids, whatever can we do with them' look. "And who are you?" she prompted. "Oh. Kur." "What else?" "Rin." "Put it together, please," Sosiqui said, feeling another headache coming on. "KurRIIIIIIIIN!" the platypus yelled, standing up on her tiptoes and raising her arms up. "And I THIS BIIIIG! And I not a bird," she added, glaring at everyone, daring them to disagree. nozomi_ga_kanau "Frine!" Akilah agreed, paws clapping together happily, giggling a little. "Frin frin frin no cheep! Frriiiiiiiin no cheepcheep!"
Hey, he was still learning how to talk. And if Arun wouldn't give him attention, he'd seek it elsewhere. Attention whore that he is.
"Nice to meet you, Kurrin." Patrick said lightly, glancing down at his exciteable charge, lips still grinning slightly at the others. "You're a very big girl. Much bigger then Akilah." Hey, the kid won't understand for at least a little while...right?"
"Frine! Eee!"((*has been giggling madly* Arun is a ladies man! Big pimpin' y0!)) Sosiqui "Much, much bigger," Kurrin said proudly, then raised her chin a little bit and gave the baby a look of vague disdain. "Baby all sticky and drooly and POOPY." "So were you," Sosiqui muttered. "That's not kind. Apologize." "Oh." Kurrin looked down. "Sorry baby's poopy." Kitara Kata Kitara's reason for coming to town again had mostly been for diapers and milk, but she paused just about as she was going to pass The Fourth Wall. The pair of cat-like ears on the sides of her head gave a twitch. There were people inside...? Interesting. Crimson eyes looked down at the quiet puppy in the baby carrier. It wouldn't hurt, right? The diapers could wait and she still had a few spare diapers and such in her bag. "Looks like it's time to meet some of your buddies." With a swift turn of her boot, she walked to the door and opened it. "'Ello 'ello!" She gave a cat-like grin, tail swaying behind her. nozomi_ga_kanau Akilah wilted under the not too happy look given to him by the older child, shrill voice whining slightly, arms waving a bit. "Friiiiine~" He huffed, still gnawing lightly at his tail. "Friii--fwoosh?"
Blinkage commenced and the new arrivals got his attention, small round 'weasel' body wriggling. "Woosh~"
Patrick sighed, rubbing his temples lightly. "Sorry, folks, he's kinda psych--"
"FWOOSH."
"Yes, yes, fwoosh." Eyes fluttered to the girl with the baby carrier, smiling faintly. "And hello to visitor number four." The smile widened, eyes going to Kurrin for a moment.
"It's okay. He'll stop being poopy sometime. Right now he's very poopy - but he doesn't drool too much." Sosiqui "THAT drools," Kurrin said, turning to point at the new arrival, giving her a calculating look. Kitara Kata Kitara laughed at all the 'fwooshing' before closing the door behind her. "Seems like I decided to wander into town at the right moment." She walked over to a nearby chair and sat down, resting her bag down next to her and the baby carrier with Katrina inside in front of her. "Yes, she does drool. But all babies do." The necromancer gave the platypus child a fanged smile. "They can't help it."Katrina had woken up the second they walked into this... very loud place. Her tiny muzzle scrunched up at the scents and sounds. It was too loud in here. Large brown eyes looked at the other tiny children. Well... they SMELLED okay. Her mouth opened, revealing very tiny canines. "Arrooowwwaaa..." She had yet to master any words of any kind yet, mostly just doggish sounds and grabby gestures. nozomi_ga_kanau Fangs?! EEEP! THe meerkat gave a screech, wriggling and flopping onto the floor, squealing and...being scooped up by a sighing Patrick. Once safe in the others arms, Akilah clawed his way up to his normal perch - straddling the backof his fathers head, clutching onto the thick mat of hair.
"EEE! Nononononononofwooosh!" He wailed, sharp nose pressing into Patricks hair. Patrick could just stand there and wince.
"Sweetheart, no, the fwoosh isn't going to--"
"...meep." Sosiqui Kurrin's eyes widened. "TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEF! BIG TEEF SHE HAS BIG TEEF!" the platypus child wailed, scurrying to hide behind Sosiqui's legs. Kurrin wrapped her flat tail around her mum's ankle and peered out, glaring at Kitara with all her might. "No eat Kurrin! NO NO NO NO!" Kitara Kata Eyebrows raised as the two children started to screech. "Oh... I'm so sorry." Her ears drooped at the sides of her head, cat-like eyes looking between the two parents. She hated to scare children, it made her feel less human then she already was. She then looked at the meerkat and platypus. "Don't worry, I'm not going to eat you... if it makes you feel any better, I don't eat anything." Well... that was only partially true.Katrina on the other hand just drew back into her blanket, ears pressing against her tiny skull. Those things were LOUD. nozomi_ga_kanau "Don't mind Akilah.." Patricks voice is quiet, a little sigh, reaching up to rub the meerkats back gently. "He's still a baby and anything with teeth sends him skittering. Especially bigger things then him."
The dark man smiled placidly, less weird then he normally was despite the multiple facial piercings due to a lesser amount of sleep, glancing between the two newer ladies. "I'm Patrick. It's nice to meet you." Sosiqui "Can't eat NUTHIN," Kurrin accused, but Sosiqui crouched down to shush her. "There's lots of kinds of people in the world. Be nice. She wouldn't have a baby if she was going to EAT babies, would she?" Kurrin considered this logic, then frowned. "Guess... no?" "Good guess." The platypus peered around her guardian. "Sorry," she mumbled. Kitara Kata "Ah, I see..." The reaper nodded, though it didn't really make her feel much better. Children screaming at her was enough of a common occurance and something she could never get used too since she loved them so much. "My name is Kitara, nice to meet you two as well." She gave a nod of her head in greeting. "And this is Katrina." A gloved hand gestured down to the confused looking baby before crimson eyes looked back over to Kurrin. "It's okay, your not the first to have screamed at my apperance." Even though it was a rather negative sentence, she said it in a positive voice to keep the little one from being frightened. The puppy was making tiny rumbling and yelping sounds as she wiggled in her carrier. What was all the screaming for? nozomi_ga_kanau "I know the feeling," Patrick assured her, glancing at Kurrin with a faint grin, still petting AKilahs back gently.
The meerkat was fairly melting against his fingers, flopped limp against hte back of his fathers skull, fingers flexing gently in the thick hair. His eyes were closed contentedly and his tail curled happily.
"Katrina's awfully new, isn't she?" he took a step over, peeking in curiously - the smile broke into a wider expression, "And a puppy~ How adorable. Platypi, puppies, meerkats and fierce non-babies all in one room. It's a treat." Sosiqui "Babies boring," Kurrin decided abruptly, frowning. "Where Arun go? Aruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun?" But the little bat-child was nowhere to be seen for now, and Kurrin's frown deepened into a scowl. "I BIG girl," she insisted. "Better than babies." "When did you get so high-and-mighty?" Sosiqui hissed at her. "Be polite! I know you know how!" It was a bad idea to bring her here after a shopping trip - clearly, all the platypus's patience had already drained out. "Got high when I grew. High high up! Tall!" She stood on her tiptoes again, then glanced at the babies once more. "Taller than BABIES." Kitara Kata Kitara nodded, reaching down to unstrap the pup from her confines as she whimpered. "Only received her about three days ago." She smiled, though kept her mouth closed this time to keep fangs hidden. "Yeah, though I gotta say I was kind of concerned... neither my sister or I are particularly fond of canines." Though she couldn't help but laugh a little at Kurrin, wondering how Katrina would think once she grew up.Freedom! Katrina seemed to grin, reaching up with chubby hands as her mother scooped her up and sat her on her lap. The large pink collar was around her fat waist, tightened just enough so it didn't fall off. The little thing refused to go anywhere unless it was around her in some fashion. Turning, she looked up at Patrick with large eyes and reached out to him while making gurgles and whines. "Babies are only boring when you don't have to baby sit them," Patrick laughed quietly, one hand still distracted with its pettings of his little meerkat, peering at Kurrin curiously.
"Yes, you are a big girl. But they'll be big soon, though." he could've said something about liking his meerkat better - Akilah WAS his adopted sprogglet, after all - but he DID think the little girl was adorable. So nothing was said, patting Akilahs bum fondly before glancing back to Katrina, laughing at the soft gurgles.
"Yes, yes, baby, I'm big and colorful. You're tiny and dark." His voice softened into something of a 'baby voice', cooing at her affectionately before reaching ou, tickling her stomach gently, just above the little pink color. "You're adorable too, yes you are."
"Churrr..."
"See? Akilah agrees."Sosiqui "I be bigger soon too," Kurrin huffed indignantly. Sosiqui winced. This wasn't going well - the toddler wasn't backing down, and her behavior was only getting worse. "I think... we'll go home for now, Kurrin, if you don't want to play with the babies," she said, firmly. Kurrin frowned, then nodded. "Fine. Play ALONE with BIG-GIRL toys," she added, severely. Her guardian sighed. "Sorry about that," she apologized. "She's had a long day... I'm sure she'll be nicer if I don't bring her after a day of shopping." Kitara Kata ((S'alright Wasa.)) The demoness watched Katrina react happily, pale hands holding her sides gently to keep the pup from falling over. "It's alright, goodbye and it was nice meeting both of you." One of her hands let go of the baby just long enough to wave goodbye before going back down, making sure she didn't topple over."Arroarrrarr!" The mutt's tail wagged back and forth behind her, stubby legs kicking at the ticklishness. Whoever this person was, her was nice! And DEFINTALY got her approval. The other one though... nah-uh. Her head turned around to look at Kurrin. "ARRRAAARARR!" Though it wasn't very powerful, it was clear that Katrina didn't like all the yelling coming from whoever that... thingy was.Kitara blinked, a little surprised at her daughter's newfound aggression. Frowning, she put a clawed finger by her muzzle and turned it so she couldn't face Kurrin anymore.nozomi_ga_kanau ((Sorry about the long a** pause on my end - fell asleep at the computer. It's almost 2AM and I getta wake up at 8.30. Joygasm~ stare So..I'm sorry, but I'm gonna wrap my bit up. :333))
Akilah gave a sleepy sort of chirrup when his father moved, hugging closer to his head. The small furry body was quite limp and obviously just about to pass out - Patrick siiighed when he realized it, tickling the pup one more time.
"You're a mighty little girl, aren't you?" He cooed, taking a step back. "As mighty as you are, I still have to go.. Akilah is about to pass out and quiet time is a big deal at our house."
A faint smile towards the mother of the pup, head giving a small little nodding bow, reaching up to pry the small mammal off his head, cuddling him close with a soft laugh. "I'm sure we'll see you again."Sosiqui "I hope so," Sosiqui said gratefully, then bent to pick up Kurrin's discarded boots. "Come on, we're going home. Say goodbye." "BYE," Kurrin yelled, then frumped and flopped on the floor. "Don't like boots." "Put them on or walk with freezing feet." Kurrin looked like she was goign to pitch a fit, then sulked and allowed her guardian to put the oddly shaped footwear over her webbed feet. "Thanks. Sorry," Sosiqui repeated, then took Kurrin's hand and motored her out the door. ((Thanks for the RP. Sorry for being distracted. ^^;;;; )) Kitara Kata ((I better head off too. ^^ Thanks for the RP guys!)) Kitara smiled at them, returning the nod to Patrick with her own. "Goodbye everyone." She waved a gloved hand, then looked down at Katrina.Katrina grinned from ear to ear, giving Patrick a few grabby motions with her hands before watching him leave. Her tail immediantly drooped. Awww... where was he going?"I supose we should be off too then." The hellspawn picked up the whimpering baby and wrapped her up warm enough before strapping her back into her carrier and swinging her bag over her shoulder. "This was a rather nice visit." She smiled, picking up the carrier before leaving as well. The puppy squirmed as she was once again put into her carrier all too soon, reaching back towards the building as they left. She didn't wanna leave!

nozomi_ga_kanau After last nights (almost) catastrophe with fanged women and not-babified children, Akilah had demanded to go back. His demanding consisted of screaming and screeching out 'FOOF' and 'FWINE' until Patricks ears started to bleed...so why the hell not?
Not like he had...y'know. Other kids to take care of. Or a job. heaven freaking forbid.
Still. The kid was contented, riding on his fathers shoulders, hands tugging at his hair like a rider would a favorite (albiet psycho) horse.
"Eeee~" The meerkat squealed when Patrick pushed open the Fourth Walls door, pain written on his brightly pierced features. "Eee! Fwoof! Fwine! Churrrr~"
Sound affects were cute. The psycho clutching meerkat? Not so much. "Yes, Akilah. We're here." And in an animal house it appeared! Look at all the kiddlets and peoples and and and...so many. Youkochylde "They're good," Kaeru whispered, sidelong to Aini and Jacosa as soon as Youko's attention was elsewhere. He WAS a frog, after all.. and frogs ate bugs. HE liked them. As he watched Youko walk away, he waited until the fox's back was turned, then let his tongue zing out, catching the unsuspecting fly and reeling it in again almost as quickly. It was an instantaneous reaction, and within a span of a second, he was sitting there in the toybox again as if nothing at all had happened. Sayuri_Nitta 'Congratulations!' Sayuri squealed, actually hugging Andraste. 'I did kind of suspect from what you were saying last time we met, but wasnt sure how to tell you.' she smiled, letting the woman go.
Unfortunately for Jacosa, the pocket thing that he was trying to show her was eclipsed for Aini by what Kaeru did next. ''gain, gain!' she clapped, wriggling around on her bottom, her tail wriggling excitedly. 'Do it 'gain!' Lenachan358 " Ronen. Nice ta meetcho." The otter grinned and his tail flicked from side to side. This one looked nice, but he had some bad things on his back. " Ouch...how did get that ?" An extended finger pointed on the almost spiky things. Eyes turned back to Aini for a moment and he pouted. She wasn't even interested in his famous bag...A slurping sound was heard from Kaeru's direction and Jacosa turned towards him. The fly was gone. That was a really cool thing to do, but the otter knew that his tongue wasn't able to do it. First he could fly and now he could eat flies...life was unfair. So he decided to sit down beside Ronen and showed the pocket to him. " Wanna try ?" His ears perked up though as he heard a familiar chirr. Dark otter eyes looked for the source. Today was best friend day ! Zero Dream ((Oh yeah, on that, Karma... >_>;;; Permision to throw a form your way sometime soon ?)) Ronen perked a bit, just fast enough to see Kaeru's tongue zoom right on the poor unsuspecting fly, and see it retract as quickly as it zoomed. ...And while the idea of eating flies was still gross to him, Kaeru's mighty tongue-fu impressed him indeed. "How you do that ?!?" He asked, surprise apparent. "Was aw-som !" Then his attention turned back to Jacosa, who had just spoken, his tail still wagging, but slower, out of instinctive caution and Zero's learning that he might hurt someone with the spikes on it. The spines on his back weren't that much of an issue... they couldn't pierce or cut. The dinosaur boy gave it some thought for a moment before answering. "Always had tat." He admitted, visibely not really having thought about it before. "Like you have tat." He pointed at his fur, visibely trying to draw a parallel. "And me don't." ...It made sence in his mind, at least. But then, he forgot all about it when he was presented the pocket. "Sur !" nozomi_ga_kanau The minute he saw Jacosa, the little meerkat squealed, bouncing more, chirruping and churrings wildly. Patrick could only wince, reaching up and trying to pull him down once again.
"A-Akilah! Stop!"
"Eee!" He squealed, letting himself be taken down from his high perch. While the fly-snapping thing caught the little furry things attention, he wasn't the one who had petted his belly before! Small paws reached out for Jacosa, flexing and squeaking more, writhing to try and free himself from bejewled hands.
Akilah couldn't walk, but he could wriggle! And...drag and stuff.. Quinny-chan Quinn felt a little guilty for leaving Moss with the sitter, but neither he, nor Belen, seemed to mind very much and she thought it beneficial that the pair socialize without the other every once in a while. So, armed with a spray bottle, some lotion, nebulizers and Belen's travel bowl, she had brought the Axolotl to the center to play and to perhaps check with Karma to make sure his breathing treatments were progressing as they should.
Not bothering to knock this time, she swung the door wide, chirped a fond hello and sat Belen on the ground, cautioning him to be wary of the others. Wouldnt want him to get stepped on simply from lack of attention.
Strong swimming legs allowed him to toddle slowly, even though he wasn't quite old enough to be able to do so. It gave Moss fits, watching his younger brother walk when all he could do was crawl behind. Such was sibling rivalry, she supposed.
She took a seat on one of the plump couches, eagle eyes trained on her diminuative, yet very independant son. Youkochylde ((I need to bow out for now, guys. Getting too hard to keep up. *HUGS*)) "Kaeru!" The boy wilted slightly when he realised he'd been caught fly-catching again. Dammit, this was so unfair. "But I was hungry!" he wailed, throwing one of the toys in a fit of anger. "Then we'll go home and get you something to eat," Youko replied, moving to scoop him up before he could start a full-out tantrum. "And a NAP," he admonished, ignoring the protests of the frog as he set the boy down and swatted him lightly on the behind to get him moving towards the coats. He waved to those he knew, and pulled his own coat on, helping Kaeru as well. It was amazing to him that children moved 10 times SLOWER when they were whimpering. Sayuri_Nitta (( awww *glomps Youko*...then again its almost dinner time so I'll be doing the same too XD )) Aini watched as Kaeru was taken away by the mean man - who she poked her tongue out at. Well now what would she do? She sidled over to the Jacosa and patted him on the shoulder. 'Osa,' she said, looking at the dinosaur boy with him. 'oo dat?'
'Hows it going anyways?' Sayuri asked, motioning at Andraste's growing bump.Lenachan358 Andraste smiled slightly. "It's not so easy, because I can't go to work anymore, but the father...Ranjit...he's living with us now. I'm a bit afraid of the birth though." Jacosa waved to Kaeru as he left, but wasn't too sad about it. Now Aini had come back to play ! He looked at his fur while listening to Ronen and it took him a while to understand the boy's words. " Cool." It was alright, not everybody had fur and not everybody spikes, right ? " Is Ronen." The otter explained to the fennec fox and motioned her to sit down with them. His eyes were sparkling as he noticed Akilah and smiled. " Keela ! Can I hold ?" He really wanted to show his 'little brother' to the others. The otter knew about babies and everyone should know. " I get baby siblin." He stated proudly. Phew...finally it started to became exhausting. Didn't he know that one was well ? His eyes darted towards Belen and he waved. Zero Dream Ronen simpely nodded in confirmation and smilled at Aini. He was a bit sad that Kaeru had to go... but what could he do ? He could always see him again later ! It took alot to keep this one down, it seemed. "Baby sibilin ?" Ronen tilted his head and blinked. Being the youngest, he had no smaller sibilings... more older sibilings you could shake a stick at, but younger ? Nope. So the thought confused him a bit. nozomi_ga_kanau "Here there, 'Cosa," Patrick chirrup gratefully when he moved towards teh otter and the little dinosaur. The fish-like Fourth waller was seen with wide eyes but he carefully manuvered so he could in NO WAY step on him - Patrick is a wee bit paranoid with child safety. "I think Akilah wants to see you again."
Indeed, he did. As soon as they were close enough, he wriggled until he was put down and crawled his happy way over to Jacosa. Clingage commenced, wide black eyes peeking at Ronen as the small 'rat' chittered.
"You have a baby sibling? Really? Where?" Quinny-chan Belen toddled on his hind legs slowly, before dropping down to scuttle about on all fours. He walked suprisingly well for one meant to never leave the water and though he still wheezed from time to time, it didnt sound quite as severe as it had. He made his way over to Jocasa, climbing onto his tail. He remembered playing with the tail in his bowl and he remembered that the Otter liked water, just like he did. He grabbed on and made his version of the purring noise Makana made when she was happy. It was a good noise and he liked how rumbley it made him feel. Sayuri_Nitta 'You'll be fine, you have support and that's the most important thing,' she glanced at the wall-clock and sighed. 'Well I am sorry to have to go so soon, but I left Catta with my neighbour and the poor woman is only so patient.' Sayuri smiled thinly. 'It was nice to see you again.' She went over, and picked Aini up, who was just about to go over to Ronen and poke his spikes to see what they felt like. 'No! No!' the fennec toddler yelled, squirming for all she was worth. 'Osa!' she wailed, as Sayuri managed to hold her still. 'You...can..see him soon,' Sayuri said, avoiding flailing limbs and a tail.(( Thanks for the rp all =) Gotta go now )) Quinny-chan Quinn felt a little guilty for leaving Moss with the sitter, but neither he, nor Belen, seemed to mind very much and she thought it beneficial that the pair socialize without the other every once in a while. So, armed with a spray bottle, some lotion, nebulizers and Belen's travel bowl, she had brought the Axolotl to the center to play and to perhaps check with Karma to make sure his breathing treatments were progressing as they should.

She took a seat on one of the plump couches, eagle eyes trained on her diminuative, yet very independant son. Sajhiri ((poor angler fish. The stuff of anthro nightmares!)) Dodge's jaw worked in his sleep, rocking in a circular motion as he chewed his cud instinctively. Sajhiri smoothed his ears back and smiled warmly. "Vegetarian, got it. I guess lambs drink milk just like human babies, so it should be ok for a while to go that way." She gazed on her latest addition lovingly. "I know the perfect room for him. I think he'll love it." Youkochylde "Kaeru!" The boy wilted slightly when he realised he'd been caught fly-catching again. Dammit, this was so unfair. "But I was hungry!" he wailed, throwing one of the toys in a fit of anger. He waved to those he knew, and pulled his own coat on, helping Kaeru as well. It was amazing to him that children moved 10 times SLOWER when they were whimpering. karma_k Karma was about to say something and, instead, stifled a yawn that had come out of nowhere. "Excuse me." she said, somewhat embarrassed. "I've been up since about this time yesterday and I was on my way out when everyone came in. If I'm going to drive myself home without nodding off, I'd probably better do it soon." She reached out, gently tickling one of the twitching silver ears. "If you like, I can send you home with the paperwork, or I'll mail it to you...whichever is easier for you. There's no rush to get him into the records as long as it gets done." Actually, she liked to get everybody into the records as quickly as possible since it was less to have to do later, but she didn't want to create an air of urgency and turn something so lovely into something so....official. Sajhiri Sajhiri smiled. "I can bring the paperwork home with me. Not a problem. I'll get it back to you ASAP. Thank you again, Karma. Go get some rest." She slipped back out of the room and back towards the waiting room with her brand new bundle of...er...wool...in her arms. Sayuri_Nitta Aini watched as Kaeru was taken away by the mean man - who she poked her tongue out at. Well now what would she do? She sidled over to the Jacosa and patted him on the shoulder. 'Osa,' she said, looking at the dinosaur boy with him. 'oo dat?'
'Hows it going anyways?' Sayuri asked, motioning at Andraste's growing bump. karma_k Karma watched her go and then exited the now-empty nursery to head for her back office. There was no fumbling for the papers this time as she'd learned after about the fourth or fifth adoption that it was in her best interest to sacrifice an entire afternoon making all of the adoption papers into stapled packets. Grabbing one of said packets out of the wire basket in the corner of her desk, she headed out into the waiting area. Placing the packet on the edge of the counter where it would be easily-noticed, but out of reach of the playing children, she quietly grabbed up her coat and slipped out. Yeah, no more all-nighters... Lenachan358 Andraste smiled slightly.
Really? Where?" Sajhiri Sajhiri moved to the door of the office and she opened it to wave to Saedare outside. "Can you get Naeva's old infant seat out of the back of the truck, love, and set it up? We're bringing home another little one!" Saedare looked surprised, but did as was requested. Sajhiri picked up the papers from the counter and she settled onto one of the couches to put them in her bag and still balance the sleeping lamb in her arms. She gave a quiet smile to the other 'parents' in the room. Quinny-chan Belen toddled on his hind legs slowly, before dropping down to scuttle about on all fours. 'You...can..see him soon,' Sayuri said, avoiding flailing limbs and a tail. Sajhiri Saedare poked her head in once more, and called out "It's all set, mom. Did you have a baby when I wasn't paying attention or something? Sajhiri chuckled, getting up and shifting the lamb so her adopted daughter could see. "Nope, but we've been asked to look after this little darlin. His name is Dodge." "Like our truck?" the Aduthule asked incredulously. "Really mother, if he grows to hate you for that, I'll be the one to say 'I told you so.' Named after a truck indeed. The poor dear." She shuffled back out of the building to Dodge's vehicular namesake. Sajhiri offered a small wave to those in the waiting room, and headed home to make her new child comfortable. Lenachan358 " Nooo stay !" Jacosa wailed as Aini left and pouted. His eyes flicked towards his mother. Hopefully she wouldn't get the bad idea to take him away as well. " Baby inside mommy's belly." He pointed at Andraste, who had moved to sit down after Sayuri left. The otter gladly accepted the meercat and smiled. One paw gently petted the baby's head as he suddenly felt something tickling his tail and he bursted into laughter. His head turned towards the strange feeling and he noticed the no-fish. " Oh hey." Zero Dream "Ah-Haa." He nodded, not really understanding, still. Baby in someone's tummy ? Odd, odd... How did it get there ? Before he could think more about it, his attention was caught by the meercat. "Who ?" Visibely, Jacosa was getting this question alot today. nozomi_ga_kanau "You'll protect him from being squished, won't you?" The humans request was light as he stood up and stepped back. Time for Akilah to learn how to interact on his own.
Not like the meerkat had such a hard time of it anyway. Akilah squeaked happily when Jacosa patted his head, floofing up quite comfortably against the other with a churr. Curious eyes turned to the dinosaur, head leaaaaaning in to sniff at him curiously. Smelled like him! Different..older...but like him. And Jacosa. And...that weird fishy thing on his tail.
"Churr?" The small fluffed thing inquired, one tiny paw reaching out past Jacosa to poke lightly at the dinosaur, glee lifting in his eyes. "Eee~ Keerah!" That's as close as he could get to his name at this point, wriggling happily still Lenachan358 " 'Course I do !" Jacosa said proudly and cuddled the small one carefully before turning towards Ronen. " Is fiend. Keela. And that is Ronen. He's blue and cool." The otter tried to make both of them acquainted, but somehow it wasn't so easy. Hopefully they would like it anyway. Andraste waved at Patrick. "Hey there. Nice to meet you again." Zero Dream "Kee-la." He repeated, as if it would help commit the name to memory. He visibely didn't mind being poked, and only smilled as the little paw found itself on his arm. It seemed not many people around here didn't have fur, and he wasn't upset, instead gentely moving his arm forward so that the merrkat would have an easier time reaching it. "Hi." He continued to smile, tail continuing to wag, however kept safely out of the infant's reach. Quinny-chan Belen looked up at Jocasa, a smile spliting his face in two. "Ghaaaaa," he issued, grinning like a fool. "Caa Caa," he grunted again and again, trying to show Jocasa that he could say his name. He hugged his tail harder, making his purr noise. It was then that he noticed the others. There was one with skin kind of like his, not soft like Cosa. And a smaller one, though not as small as himself. It was the leathery one that facinated him, however. He hopped off of Jocasa's tail and scurried over to Ronen. He had steps on his back kind of like the ones at Belen's house. Only, these ones were much smaller and he thought he could climb them. He dashed up Ronen's tail and stretched his body, trying to reach one of the spikes with his sticky forelegs, concentration creasing his usually sunny countenance. nozomi_ga_kanau "Hey," He greeted Andraste, grinning more when he spotted the stomach, eyebrows arching slightly. "Congratulations seem to be an order, don't they? Well..congrats. All the luck wih the newest sprogglet." A light wink, rubbing hte back of his neck.
Akilah squeaked happily, wriggling. One of his hands still remained firmly curled in Jacosas fur, not tugging hard enough to hurt, but his other paw curled around Ronens finger.
Hi? Was that the hard things name. Pausing, the small meerkat peered up at him and chirruped, "Hi~" Giggling, bouncing a little, small tail curling up behind him-- when belen ran up!
Squeak! He gawked at the white thing, curiousity overcoming him. His butt wriggled a little bit before he sat firmly down on it once again. "...feesh?"Lenachan358 Andraste nodded slightly. "Thank you. How have you been ?" Jacosa gladly wasn't someone who got jealous pretty easily. He just smiled at Ronen and nodded. " Babies like you as well, I see." His tail was wiggling as it was freed from the weight and his paws held to Keela, so he wouldn't drop to the ground. " No fish, Keela. I thought too ! But no...is axosomething." He proudly explained. Every good older brother would have done so, so why shouldn't he ? Quite interested he watched the babies' reaction to Ronen. Zero Dream Ronen seemed a bit surprised, wriggeling lightly under the added weight on his tail and back. He was a dinosaur... not a ladder. Yet, he didn't mind too much, it seemed, as he stayed as still as he could, in order to allow Belen to, well... climb the stairs, so to speak. "Gues so." He blinked, glancing at Akilah. The feeling of fur on his scales was a bit wierd, but not bad or annoying in any way. nozomi_ga_kanau "I've been...busy. Squirt's learned to crawl, the other one learned to walk and I got yet ANOTHER little brat." His head shook a little, nose wrinkling with a grin. "You? Other then the pregnancy?"
"Azkosomefung." he repeated dutifully, retreating a little when he saw the 'climbing' fish and cuddling up against Jacosa - well, as much as he could, considering his position. "Cosa." Nod nod, nosing against the others fur, wherever he could, with a little trill. Quinny-chan Belen stretched, fingers waggling as he tried, in vain, to reach the bottom spike. When it became apparent that he was just not big enough, something the Axolotl had had to struggle with a lot in his new human-sized environment, he shrugged and grinned at Ronen, another goofy smile plastering his face. Tugging a bit on Ronen's clothes, Belen made his way around the dinosaur, perching on his knee and gazing up at him with wide eyes. He flung his arms out, trying to make the biggest motion he could, all the while sputtering, "Whooooaah, shooooaaa," which apparently meant that Ronen was very large indeed. Lenachan358 "Not much really." She smiled. "It was enough for me though. I really didn't expect it..." Jacosa bursted into laughter as he heard Belen's sputtering and giggled madly. That was a strange baby ! He stroked Akilah gently and made sure that he was comforable on his lap. " Tis mine, tis yours. When bigger we can let 'em fight." People did that with animals, he'd seen that on TV. Of course the otter had no clue that these kinds of fight could hurt. He just smiled. " Shall pet Keela ?" Zero Dream Ronen couldn't help but giggle a bit himself. "Ah gues." He answered, letting out a tiny yawn. He was getting a bit tired... That was just to sign that Zero was waiting, as she gentely took Ronen in her arms after putting Belen down safely on the ground. "Time for your afternoon nap, hm, cutie ?" "Not tired." He whinned, but yawned again, not protesting as his mother put his coat on. "We'll come back, allright ? Then you can talk to your friends again. Say bye, now." She smilled. "'Mbai..." He trailed, curling into Zero's arms and almost seeming to be asleep before the girl had left trough the door. Simon the Fox Simon made his way into the shop, Vassi in his arms and Vasile toddling in behind him, holding on to his pant leg. In his other arms was a big purple doll that definately looked like it has seen better days.
Simon pulled at his collar, like he always does when forced to wear his new wardrobe, looking around to see if anyone else was about. He was long overdue to bring his babies out to meet other children like themselves. He new Vasile would make friends fast, but he was worried about Vastelle who was always relunctant to open up to anyone besides her daddy.
Simon took a seat in one of tha chairs, and Vasile, dressed in his favorite pair of overalls, immediately took his doll and went looking about for more toys.
Vastella stayed put in Simon's lap, chewing on the end of a big purple ribbon in her hair. Lenachan358 Jacosa pouted. Everyone had to leave already, it deemed unfair to him. He smiled at Belen though and continued petting Akilah, who had fallen asleep on his lap. He was just about to ask his mother if they could leave as two new person's entered the room. Wow, they looked so...the same ! The otter waved and smiled, but wasn't able to move because of the meercat. Quinny-chan Belen staggered back into Cosa as the new trio entered. While he was used to big people, he had never seen two who mirrored eachother before. He puffed himself up as big as he could, just in case they thought they might be able to eat him, and he waived tentatively at the shy looking female sitting in the lap of her father. nozomi_ga_kanau "So...an accident, but not a mistake? The best kind." He grins a little bit, shrugging slightly as his eyes went to the snoozing meerkat and the others. Fox kits? Twins? His interest perked again. Interesting~ Twins!
The meerkat stretched out slightly with a little squeak, flopping against Jacosas hands slightly. Giggle. "Cosa?" Drowsy little squeak, wriggling and flopping so his arms flung aorund the others neck - one degree the wrong way and he would've fallen off.
"Mmmph. Foofy." Simon the Fox Vasile picked up the doll and toddled curiously over to the brown furry one that seemed interested. "Hi." he said slowly, waving a little. He had never been around this many new people at once, and it made hiim a bit nervous...mostly because he didn't know who to turn his attention to first.
Vastella wacthed with piqued interest, but stayed firmly planted in Simon's lap. When the little creature began to wave at her, she lowered her ears suspiciously. She wiggled more securely in Simon's lap, but then her father lifter her up and set her on the ground. She squealed in protest and looked up with a expression of agast betrayel as her father nudged her towards the group of children. Lenachan358 Jacosa smiled broadly as Akilah awoke and cuddled him. He just managed to put his paws on his back so he wouldn't fall down, but still a baby was quite heavy for at toddler. " Caweful, Keela." Andraste always told him that word when doing something dangerous. " Don' worry, Belen. Nice one." He smiled at Vasile and looked at the doll with interest. " Heyo. Me is Cosa. Is Keela. Is Belen. Not siblin's." The otter tried to point at everyone and make them acquainted with the fox. " Who are you " Proud of himself, because he was so experienced with people Jacosa beamed at Vastelle. Was she afraid of Akilah ? She didn't have to. The tie on her head, was very pretty. " Cool !" He shouted and waved at her again. nozomi_ga_kanau Akilah slowly slid down from the toddler, still leaning into him heavily. He was standing! Kind of. He was...clinging and on two feet? but he was standng! "Cosa! Fravrite! Keerah!" His voice was a happy squeak, well pleased with his new little power to SPEAK.
It was fantastic. "Foof! Foof! Ruff ruff foof!" ...yes, really, he was 'talking' about the fox kits. Really. Quinny-chan Belen didnt understand why the little girl seemed so shy of him. He barely reached her waist, even when stretching himself to his full height. He toddled towards her a few steps before Quinn reached down to scoop him up. "You need to be rehydrated, little one." She placed him on a towel she had put on the counter and then began squirting him with the water bottle she had brought. He spun around and giggled, enjoying the impromptu shower. When she had finished, she massaged his special cream all over his skin. He positively gleamed!
"There you go!" she chirrped, plopping him down on the floor next to Vastelle.Belen's toes turned in and his hands clasped behind his back, picking up some of Vastelle's discomfort. One hand shot out again and his little fingers waggled in a shy greeting. Simon the Fox Vasile squinted at Cosa and waved. "I Vasile" he said, then help up his doll. "Auntie Miki," pointed to her. He floofed the dolls hair and sat down, watching them.
Vassi wanted slowly over to her brother and snatched away the doll clutching it to her like a security blanket. She shy watched the others and fiddled with her ribbon as it was complimented. She looked back to Simon who gave her that 'you-know-what-to-do' look on his face.
"tank you," she squeaked out, sitting down beside her brother. Lenachan358 Jacosa applauded as he saw Akilah standing and tried not to move at all. " Lookit, lookit, he's...doing IT !" He cried out instead to make his mother and the Patrick man look. Still quite in shock about this he turned to Vasile and smiled. " Vas-isle and Miki." He didn't own a doll, but being a toddler the otter didn't care about 'girly-things'. That's why he owned the fluffy bag anyway ! Quickly he shoved it towards Vastelle with one paw and smiled. " Colour inside. You wanna ?" In fact the little yellow pocket contained a few crayons and paper. caroline_cupcake Jade walked confidently behind Tabitha, a small smile upon her face. After her trip to the library, she had to find out that strange otter boys name. She met him here, so of course he was bound to be here. As the panda girl walked in with her head up high she noticed a vast amount of people, suddenly her head dropped down. She reached for Tabitha's hand in worry, to many people to be nice too...to many. There were big people, small people, and even tiny baby people.
Jade took a deep breath as she ambled further into the depths of the populated shop. Tabitha managed to set herself down in a chair as Jade stood out in the open, no vast woman to shield her. Her teal eyes scanned the room in hope for the boy, maybe he could teach her how to write some more? Suddenly the obnoxious voice of the otter rang inside her ears, a hope bloomed inside of her and a coy smile flashed upon her lips. How was she going to approach him? He was probably too busy with other people teaching them to write... nozomi_ga_kanau "Doing IT?" Patrick questioned, turning away from his conversation...to see the little meerkat standing. His eyes slammed open and his jaw dropped. "Holy crap," The dark man muttered softly, rubbing his temples. "The little rat's gonna learn how to walk. I'm totally screwed."
Not proper language around children... at least he wasn't screaming. "Good job, Akilah! Yay!"
The meerkat beamed, clinging to Jacosa while turning to see the two foxes again. His tail wriggled a bit, curling once or twice in amusement. "Eee! Fisht? Foof! Floofy foof! Fiiiisht~~!" That was when the pantie-bear meandered in. She was...was black and white! She was COLORS! It all caught his attention, trilling curiously as those small hands continued to clutch at Jacosa.Quinny-chan Belen pouted a little; the little fox girl had blatantly ignored him and he had been so nice too. He flounced away, disgruntled and was knocked onto his tail when he bounced off the panda who had just arrived. Simon the Fox Vasile's ears perked. "Color? I like color, yes." He crawled over closer to Cosa and looked at him expectantly, eagerly grabbing at the crayons when they came into view. He liked the brighter colors.Vastella continued to cling to her doll, and watched the little creature waving at her. He looked harmless enough, but very odd. Vassi gave a little wave back, but stayed put. She absently chewed on the dolls dress. Lenachan358 Andraste smiled. "Wow awesome, now the trouble starts." She didn't mean it though. Jacosa pulled out a blue crayon as he suddenly noticed Jade entering. Wow, it must be his birthday today ! " Jaaade !" He called and smiled before turning to Akilah. " Keela, wanna draw too ?The otter pulled out a few sheets of paper and smiled. " That good." Vasile seemed nice as well, but what was going on with the girl ? Jacosa picked a purple crayon and rolled it towards Vastella's feet. caroline_cupcake Jade glanced down at the thing that bounced off of her. She kneeled down sympathetically, but she was rather curious what this thing was. The panda girl tilted her head with a look of confusion, was it a froggie? "You okes?" Jade asked, surprisingly offering the unfamiliar animal a paw. "You go downs." The toddler told the stranger with a nod, she knew what it felt like to fall to the ground; and it was no fun. (>> mia)
"Boy boy!" Jade waved is anticipation and a large smile. "'old on, bab neds help." She said in a normal tone of voice which counted as a yell for her. nozomi_ga_kanau "Meer?" He churred quietly, letting go of jacosa. He stood for a scant few seconds before flopping onto his little furred butt, twisting to see the colors and the papers. "Eee~" He squealed happily, nose wrinkling and giggling, grabbing for some colors.
"Great. The daughter is walking and now him.." He sighs, head shaking with a little grin, glancing at her, "You have morning sickness. I'm envious." Quinny-chan Eyes wide, Belen reached out a small, dainty hand and wrapped it around what he could grasp of the panda's hand. He nodded vigourously when she questioned his well being and smiled, indicating himself and exclaiming the only word he ever got nearly right, "Bell Bell Bell Bell!" With that, he pulled himself onto her paw and waited patiently. It was obvious she would be heading to the others and it was equally obvious to him that she would be a good friend to have. She was biiiiiiig.Simon the Fox Simon checked the clock, knowing he should go. He let Vasile colors (and Vassi chew on the purple crayon) for a while before collecting them. Vasile whined loudly at being taken away from his new friends. Vastella actually looked dissapointed herself, but she didn't say anything. She politely returned the purple (well chewed) crayon to Cosa before crawling back into Simon's arms. With his other arm, Simon scooped up the complaining son, and head out.Lenachan358 That was strange. Everybody was leaving. Jacosa shrugged and waved before his attention turned to the purple crayon. It had markings ! He frowned a bit and decided to not give crayons away so easily next time. " Good Keela." The otter commented and yawned. So many people were exhausting. He wrapped his tail around his body, which was a secure sign for his tiredness. "Oh I think Jacosa gets pretty tired. We should be going soon." Andraste mentioned and got up. nozomi_ga_kanau "Keerah," Akilah agreed absently, twisting a little to snuggle against the otter. His blunt nose nuzzled closer, fingers moving to thread in the otters fur - then the adult stood up.
He knew what that meant.
Squeak! Small arms wrapped as far around Jacosa as possible, whining and clinging tighter. Noooooo. Lenachan358 "I'm sorry, Akilah. You can see him soon. Jacosa, why don't you invite your friend ?" The otter looked at the little friend and hugged him tightly. He didn't want to go as well, but he was soo tired. " Come over on Monday ?" He had no clue when Monday was though, but people tended to say such things. Quickly he put his belongings back into the pocket and put it around his shoulder. "Say goodbye, Jacosa." The mother helped to get Akilah off the otter gently, who wasn't fond of this idea. " Bye Keela, bye Belen, bye Jade. You all can come and play." He yawned again and took Andraste's hand. Quickly they moved out of the building.

"Why must you do that, Akilah?" Patricks voice was a sigh. The dark man was sprawled on the couch, watching as the small Meerkat chewed at his purple ball. It was an amusing sight, cute as the small white thing gnawed, small paws clutching at the thick rubber of the toy.
Akilah raised his head as he heard his name from his fathers lips, ears raising a little bit. His small skull tilted to the side, paws flexing slightly on the hard rubber, "Fravrite?" He churred out curiously, tail curling a little bit.
His father grinned a little bit, shifting so his feet laid flat on the floor. It allowed him to slide down, crouching down beside of his son. "I saw you standing up all by yourself at the Fourth Wall Center, did you know that you little booger?"
"Fooger!" The meerkat agreed, giggling and letting go of the ball with his 'hands', only to clutch at the purple and yellow ball with his foot-paws. His arms waved towards the older man, chortling deep in his throat. "Up up!"
"No up today, little man." Patrick smiled wider, settling down comfortably in front of the small meerkat. His hand moved to ruffle that fluffy head of fur, tugging gently at the strands. "Looks like you're getting a bit of hair there, shortstack. Growing up?"
"Up!" His small head nodded enthusiastically, fingers reaching up and grasping his fathers dark, shiny fingers. The ball was forgotten momentarily as Patricks rings and fingernails distracted him, small nails digging into his skin gently, chirruping happily. "Up?"
He didn't get any sort of answer other then eyebrows arching slightly. The lack of response made the little fluffball whine quietly, tugging harder on his fathers fingers, small legs pushing insistantly closer, churring in his own little determined way.
Before long, he was standing on his hind legs, clutching his fathers fingers and beaming like he had just took over the entire world in one fell swoop. Those soft black ears were tilted foreward earnestly, gazing at Patrick for approval. What could he do? Shoot the little ******** down when he looked all eager and needing positive re-enforcement?
Not a chance.
"And you're learning to walk!" The human exclaimed, other hand moving over to rub up Akilahs back to his ears, rubbing at the silky black ears fondly. His meerkat son trilled happily, head tilting and rubbing against his ears, "Can you say that, Akilah? Walk? Waaaaaaalk?"
"Whaaaalk~" He chirupped obediantly. He'd learned that when they drew out the world, it usually meant they wanted him to say it. The boy didn't have a damned clue what most of his vocabulary meant or why the reactions were so important. "Daah?" Akilah said curiously, tail curling happily up into a little circle behind him, churring again.
"Daaah. Yes, hun. Dah. Dad. Daddie. That's me." The hand that was petting Akilah turned to point at himself, the painted tip pressing against his chest. "Daddy. I'm Daaaaaaahdeeeeeeee."
All he recieved was a blank stare from the meerkat and a little confused chirrup.
Patrick sighed, head shaking. He poked himself in the chest again, nose wrinkling a little. "Daddie." The hand moves, poking gently at his sons chest, "Akilah." The motions and the words were repeated, Patrick not seeing the small meerkat waving gently in the air - he was NOT used to standing for so long, or at all!
Finally, he simply let go of Patricks ringed fingers and flopped onto his butt, dragging his tail up and around to gnaw at the fuzzy thing gently for a minute. Patrick simply sat there, watching, waiting for the little man to respond in some way.
Akilah did, eventually. For a long moment he just stared at his father and leaned over gave the others wrist a fond pat. "Dahdiee." he repeated solomnly, short nose crinkling up in an imitation of patricks own. "Daaawdie," and then the small fluffball rolled back with a squeal, doing a little turn on the floor.
When he landed on his back, giggling and wriggling, paws grabbing his feet and rocking his frame, tail curled up, Patrick just snickered. "Yeah, shortshit. Daddie."

 Dear Lifejournal wanna be thing,
So..Akilah is learning how to talk now. He calls me Daddy (Pronounced something like 'dawhdey') and seems to be avoiding Mordread... That last part kind of worries me, as he's b een known to ******** BITE my lovely kitty boy...
Mordread learns fast, thankfully. He's learned not to try going near Akilah and Akilah, in return, ignores the hell out of him. Yashima, however, adores Mordread and hates Akilah - I think the meerkat shrieking in his ear has something to do with that.
He did, however, teach Akilah how to say 's**t'. Good going, catbitch.
Akilah has made friends! He's met quite a number of fourth wallers (Is that PC or am I speciesist?) but the one he's seriously attatched himself to is Cosa, this little otter boy. Akilah just chutters 'Cosacosacosa' all day long - he knows what that means. It means his otter friend.
Thank gods that Cosa seems to be calmer and sweeter then my hyperactive meerkat thing.. he pets Akilah into submission, calling him 'Keela' and introducing him to other kids. There was the platypus girl (who was kind of a mini-b***h), the cute puppy, two fox kits (the girl was uber shy and the boy had a doll. o.O), a ******** DINOSAUR (He was a nice kid too. Friends with Cosa?), a panda, and axolti...a lot of kids.
This is going to be an interesting ride, allright. Akilah will NOT be lacking people to play with (and I'm almost positive that there are more out there) but he's not stopping the chirruping for the otter.
His vocabulary is expanding quickly and the little s**t is learning to walk. He still won't stop chewing that ball. God.
Ths is all for now, ********>

Lenachan358 Jacosa squealed as he was dancing around on the sidewalk. " I wiiiish I cooould fliiiie" Andraste shook her head and just grinned slightly. They had listened to more music since Ranjit was living with them, because the man seemed to be in need of this. Anyway, the otter opened the familiar door of the building and peered inside. No one was there ? Aww...his ears dropped. nozomi_ga_kanau Poor Jacosa! No one to play with! That didn't last too long, however, as Patrick and Akilah were on their quickly-becoming weekly visit to the Fourth Wall Center. How fun! The meerkat was chirruping happily at his father and blathering in his little talk that few people ever really understood.
The dark man saw the otter and the pregnant woman enter the building and he grinned, ticklign his son more as he hurried up to catch up with Jacosa and Andraste, who were walking into the building.
"Andraste! Cosa! Hey!"
"Coo?" Akilah squealed, wriggling happily, small paws smacking his fathers arm demandingly. "Coosa!" Lenachan358 " Keela !" The otter screamed and wiggled excitedly. Andraste smiled as well, but moved towards some chairs to sit down. Pregnancy was exhausting business. "Nice to see you again." She mumbled and took a deep breath. Jacosa was able to care for himself. Said one was literally glued to Patrick and waited for his friend to be dropped. nozomi_ga_kanau "We're gonna have FUN when these little buggers get older," he grinned a little bit, peering down at the clutching otter, wriggling his legs lightly. Akilah continued to squeal and wriggle until Patrick leaned down, offering the little man the littler meerkat.
"Missed him much, Cosa?"
"Coosa!"Lenachan358 "Indeed. Look at them already, I'm glad I've got the pregnancy bonus." She grinned as well and watched the funny scene Jacosa just nodded hectically and smiled broadly as he extended his hands to hold the meercat. " You good with name now, Keela." The otter beamed proudly and waved his tail slightly. " Yes, I did." The little one explained not ashamed at all. nozomi_ga_kanau He just grinned, making sure Akilah was firmly attatched to Cosa before moving away, settling down next to Andraste. "Yep! Got any morning sickness?"
Akilah giggled and clung to his friend, fuzzy face peeking up with a chirrup. "Keera," he agreed, nodding enthusiastically. One paw went up to his mouth, sucking at his fingers briefly. "Yum!" Lenachan358 "Not anylonger, luckily. I guess it means that my fat belly will explode soon or a baby might come out." She looked much better than before and more content about the fact of being pregnant. "How have you been ?" Jacosa watched the small one suck at his fingers and grinned. " Good. He looked at his chest were a small fish pendant was dangling. When he had been small he had liked to suck it. " You wanna play ? You decide !" nozomi_ga_kanau "Or maybe both," Patrick responded optimistically, laughing and letting his shoulders rise and fall with a shrug. "I've been...okay. Lots of busy stuff, everywhere. How about you?"
"Yum," The meerkat murred once more, gnawing at his paw curiously for amoment until he realized that pain? Not really an enjoyable thing. So the paw was pulled out and the small thing bounced a few times, chirruping slightly. "....fwee?" His head tilted to one side, ears perked up. "...ball?" Lenachan358 Andraste looked shocked and first and then started to laugh. "Yeah, probably. We're fine, not doing much beside eating and watching TV though." " Ouch, no bite youself." Jacosa explained and remembered when he had burned his tail on a candle. As he heard the smaller one asking about a ball he toddled towards the toybox and pushed it open. " Toys here." nozomi_ga_kanau "Nothing wrong with lazing around! You h ave an organishm growing in your stomach." He snickers softly, arms folding comfortably over his chest. "You're lounging for two, now."
"Ball?" Akilah asked again, ending his word with a soft, slow trill, tail curling up behind him as he followed Jacosa, clinging to the think brown fur. Chirp~ "Ball." A nod, small arms reaching up to grab the edge of the toyboy, squeaking with effort as he dragged himself up to look inside. "Cosa ball." Lenachan358 "Yeah, I'm quite excited." Andraste admitted and watched the children play. " Yeah, wait." The otter said and tried to look out for a ball. Indeed there was a small colorful one and the Jacosa pulled it out. " Here. He smiled and offered it to the meercat with a smile. Quickly he sat down on the floor. Tossing and rolling the ball was fun, right ?

"Akilah!" Patrick was yelping, as usual, fussing with the small meerkat. Akilah was sitting in the small sandbox his father had bought for the kids, out in the back yard and..damnit, Patrick wanted a picture!
The little rodent looked rather adorable, sitting up in the sand with toys spread around him like so many flowers. The ever-present ball was there, of course, and the meerkat was trying to clamber over it with a squeal.
Patrick just wanted a picture!
"Akilah~" He tried this time, soothing the beast of the boy into sitting still. "Please? Please just sit still?"
"No still, Dawdee." The toddler whined more, little claws digging into the amazingly strong plastic of the rubber ball, rocking with it and whining still. "No still! Play! Rawr!"
"Just one picture!" Wheedling with a child never worked really well, especially not a little brat as stubborn as his Akilah. The small brown and white anthro was turning out to be a handful and a half, hyperactive and loud, demanding for attention when he wasn't stuffing his face. He had a high metabolism.
At least he was learning how to talk, right? With the abilitiy of speech, it'd be easier to give him what he wanted or needed without the rodent going scremingly evil on everyone.
...Ja?
Akilah just glared at him, curling his tail up a little bit. His nails dug a bit rebelliously into the ball before biting down on the purple thing. Patrick took that moment to bring the camera up for a quick flash.
A little glare, a bit of bangs, nails, teeth, ball - and even some of his other toys in the background! Lovely!
The dark man only had a brief moment of triumph before the Akilah responded to the flash, squealing roughly and tumbling back... Not before hurling the ball at his fathers head.
"NO BRIGHT!"

Lenachan358 Jacosa moved towards the well-known building followed by his mother who was pushing a pram. Inside lay Nila, his new little baby sister. Finally he had managed to ask Andraste for Akilah's telephone number and they had arranged a meeting at the Fourth Wall building. The otter whistled a happy tune as he opened the doors. They had appeared bigger to him last time. Carefully he helped Andraste to enter with the pram, because Nila was still asleep. Nobody was here yet. Jacosa's excitement started to grow. nozomi_ga_kanau "Dawdie! Dawdie, we go!" Akilahs voice was shrill and demanding as his father let him walk towards teh Fourth Wall center. The boy was on a body-leash. It let him toddle around and do things while having a stretchy-rope attatched to Patricks wrist. This time, it was only Akilah - the other children stayed home.
"Yeah, 'Kilah. We're going to see Jacosa."
"We go see Cosa! Now now now, Dawdie!"
"We're almost there!" His voice was a soft grump, nose wrinkling as his son climbed the little steps up to the center and banged on the door with his tiny dists.
"Cosacosacosa dawdie door!" Quinny-chan It was too cold to take Belen out in his travel tank, so instead, Quinn had bundled him in the warmest doll clothes money could buy and though she had to fight the good fight to keep the little Axolotl dressed, she managed to get him out of the house and made her way to the Fourth Wall Center to see if any of the others might be about. Belen stuck his tongue out at her from his perch within the breast pocket of her winter coat and she smiled wryly and poked him back within its confines. "I know you dont like clothes, honey, but I dont want you to freeze." A watery burbling could be heard in response and she shook her head, reaching out to throw the door to the Center wide. She grinned when she saw Jacosa and cooed at the new baby, clapping Andraste on the back and wishing her congratulations. Then, she reached into her pocket and deposited Belen onto the floor. He quickly shucked all of his clothes and ran towards Jacosa naked as the day she got him, shouting, "Cosa! Cosa!" Lenachan358 Jacosa smiled as he saw Belen enter and recognised him quickly. " Hello Belen." He kneeled down to hug the small one slightly. " I haven't seen you for a long time." The otter stated and petted his head gently. His ears twitched slightly as he heard noises from the door. " Keela ?" Andraste smiled happily and coughed slightly as Quinny hit her back. "Thanks. That's Nila." The baby eyed the grown-up person with distrust at first. She didn't know her. nozomi_ga_kanau "Yeah, you little freaking rat! Shut up!"
"DAWDIE DOOR!"
Their shrieking could probably be heard all the way inside. A split second later, the door was opened quickly and a little brown and silver blurr ran inside, heading straight towards Belen and Jacosa. Run run runrun - THWANG!
The leash thing stopped the meerkat in mid-halt, causing him to squeak loudly and zoom right back at his father, like a rubber band. Luckily, Patrick hoisted it in the air, leaving the wriggling ball of fluff about a foot above the ground.
"....evening, all." Quinny-chan Belen squeeled and rubbed his face into Jacosa's slick fur, enjoying the strange feeling. It was so different from Moss' fur, but so very nice too. He turned as he heard the 'thwang' and smiled when he saw another creature he could play with... and maybe nuzzle too! He made his purring noise and scampered over to the newcommer, slapping himself on the chest and shouting, "Bell! Bell!" Quinn knelt down to be on a level with Nila and spoke softly, calmly, "Hi sweety. Aren't you a pretty thing." Lenachan358 The otter literally freaked out as he recognised the meercat. He was about to run towards his as he heard the strange noise and noticed the leash. What was this about ? He pondered for a moment and revealed his teeth while smiling. Akilah looked different. Not like Nila, not like a baby, not like Belen. " What did you do ?!" The otter shouted quite confused. Where was the baby Akilah ? This one was so...fuzzy. Andraste waved towards Patrick quite seemingly content. She glanced towards Nila for a moment before taking into account that Akilah had grown as well. "Looks like you've got a big boy now, too." She commented. Turning to Quinny she smiled. "Oh yes, I still wonder how I managed to do so." The blue baby still concentrated on the new person. Extending one hand carefully her blue eyes focused on the woman's face. She seemed to be nice. nozomi_ga_kanau "I put him on a leash," Patrick grunted, dragging the squirming meerkat into his hands to unlatch the bodice of the thing. Akilah was put slowly down and --
ZOOM!
Flying ball of brown and silver fluffiness right at Jacosa. Small arms were thrown around him, happy squeaks and little b ouncings. "Cosacosacosa!" Belen was gifted with a peek and a clawed wave. "Hi bell! Cosa cosa coooosaaaaaaaaa...."
Patrick rubbed his temples, slowly skirting over and his eyes going wide. "Well, well. You finally popped out the fishbaby, eh?" A glance over to Quinny, and the other woman recieved a smile from the pierced man as well. "Hello." Quinny-chan Quinny smiled and waved at Patrick before looking down to where Belen was standing on the sidelines, watching the other's play. "Three's a crowd," she muttered, scooping up the boy and struggling to put the winter clothes back on him. "We'll come back later, honey. Momma just remembered something she needed to do." She traced a finger along Nila's cheek, smiling at the girl and wishing Andraste the best of luck. With another wave for Patrick, woman and amphibian skeedaddled out of the house. Lenachan358 The comment had actually been directed at Akilah, so Jacosa wondered about Patrick's answer. He hadn't much time to think about it anyway, as he was nudged and hugged by Keela. Smiling happily he embraced the meerkat. " You look older, Keela. Not like a baby." Cosa finally commented. Perhaps they could play now ? Andraste waved as Quinny and Belen left and Nila tried to copy the gesture. Now there was another face close to her mother. She couldn't make it out so well anyway. The woman grinned. "Indeed, she was almost born inside a car. Fishbaby wasn't able to wait until we arrived at the hospital." Kitara Kata Kitara had peeked into Katrina's crib for quite the surprise this morning. Instead of a drooling bundle of black fur, she found a... slightly larger bundle of drooling black fur. The baby was larger, though still rather short and stubby for her age. Thinking this a good time to go back into the Fourth Wall, she fed Katrina a bottle (she still refused solid food) and dressed the puppy up before heading out.
Katrina held onto her adoptive mothers clawed hand and walked rather haphazardly next to her, free arm holding her pink kitty plushie in a death grip. Though of course, it still managed to drag a little in the dirt. But hey, a little dirt never hurt anyone! It added flavor. No matter what mommy said.
Eventually the two arrived at the Fourth Wall, the necromancer giving a knock before opening it and peeking in. Thankfully, it didn't look empty. "Helloooo!" She gave a fanged grin, having accidently forgotten the whole scare from last time. nozomi_ga_kanau "Nodda baby." Akilah agreed happily, clinging onto his otter, little brown tail curled happily. "Big boy! Can walk and tell dawdie." 'Dawdie' was his drawn out, meerkat way of saying his father - he peeked at Patrick a little at that with a giggling squeak.
The fanged woman didn't bring a shriek of surprise to Akilah this time. he merely shifted his grip on Jacosa and squeaked again. "Fangy girl! Rowr. Big 'keelah!"
Patrick laughed softly at that, head shaking. "Car babies are interesting though.." He tapered off, peeking into the babies bubbe, looking her over curiously. "Hello there, fish baby." Lenachan358 " That's great, we can play better now." Jacosa grinned and petted the smaller one's head. He was still like a little brother and he was much better than Nila, because Nila soo boring and Otieno was also soo boring. As he mentioned his Daddy, Jacosa wondered if Ranjit was his Daddy. He had never called him like that before, he was only used to call Andraste Mommy. He was just about to ask as he noticed someone enter, who was probably known to the meercat. " Hey there !" The otter smiled and turned back to the friend. " You know her ?" Andraste greeted the newcomers and looked at Patrick. "It wasn't as bad as I thought...exhausting though. Her name's Nila." Said one was staring at the man in disbelief. She had never seen a man without blue skin before being just acquainted to her daddy and to Jacosa right now. So perhaps he was a bit scary. One of her small fists moved in front of her eyes to protect her. Kitara Kata Wow, what a greeting. With a tiny laugh she ushered the pup in next to her and looked at Akilah. "Very big Akilah! I'm no match for you now!" With another smile Kitara kneeled down and began to unbutton the jacket her daughter was wearing, then remove her boots.
Meanwhile, Katrina had since begun to chew on the head of her stuffed toy in silence. Large brown eyes blinked and Jacosa and Akilah... having recalled encountering the meerkat once before. But the other she didn't know. He smelt okay, though.
Nodding a greeting to both Jacosa and the other woman with her baby, the reaper patted Katrina on her shoulders to get her attention while pushing some of the unruly short hair from her face. "You gonna go play with those two nice boys?" After receiveing a shy look and a tiny nod, she smiled. "Good... go on, now." Patting the little girl's rump to get her started, she stood up.
Unsteadily, the toddler wandered over to both the boys but stayed a few feet away... she didn't know if that one boy was the same one she had encounter before.
Making sure she kept an eye on Katrina, Kitara wandered over to the two adults, seeming to look like the youngest 'mother' there. "Hello Patrick, it's nice to see you again. My names Kitara." She said to the other woman with the baby, having not seen her before. nozomi_ga_kanau "Exhausting? Understandable. She's not a tiny little thing, are you, sweetheart?" His voice was warm and rather kind - nothing you'd expect from a sparkly man who looked like he'd rather stab you then smile. But he was smiling, fingers moving to wave at her gently.
"Are you scared of me, hun? Don't be~ I'm nice. I promise." He laughed softly, head shaking a bit with a faint smirk before facing Kitara. "Hey, lady. What's up?"
Akilah just laughed, nuzzling into Akilah happily. "Play more! Play better!" A chittering giggle, brush of a tail wriggling happily before peering at the dog curiously. "'Sa doggie. Goes woof woof."Lenachan358 " Hello, I'm Cosa." The otter introduced himself to the girl, who appeared to be a bit shy. " You're a dog ? That's nice." In fact, he wasn't sure if it was really so nice, because dog's usually haunted the postman and if she followed the postman, he'd never receive his pen pal's letters. " What would you two like to play ? " Jacosa was up for anything at the moment. "Andraste, nice to meet you." The woman said and wondered how well adjusted she had become. Earlier she had just nodded. Perhaps it was the baby's fault ? Nila listened to the voice and slowly lowered her hand again. The person smiled at her and he was closer now. She seemed to think about her actions for a moment as she mirrored the man's behaviour and smiled slightly. Kitara Kata "Nothing really, Katrina seems to have... grown up in her sleep." Kitara said, glancing back to the pup then to the others. "It's nice to meet you as well... and who is this?" She smiled down at the baby, though made sure her fangs stayed hidden... just in case.
Woof woof? Katrina blinked, her head tilting slightly and barked in reply with a smile. Her tag wagged a little bit behind her as she took a step towards them. Cosa? That was a nice name... Though she didn't introduce herself... yet at least. "Paaaaaay?" She asked, her first 'word'. nozomi_ga_kanau "Play ball?" Akilah questioned curiously, little claws still curled around the otters fur happily, tail fluffing up happily. "Ball! Throw an' catch and roooooll ball! Play ball!"
The idea was quickly catching on, the meerkat giving a soft squeal. "Woof woof an' cosa and Keelah play ball! Ball! Cosa got ball?"
He was a chatty little crap wasn't he? No more 'chirrups' or 'churrs' for that little sucker.
Patrick almost died from the cuteness of that baby smiling at him, voice taking on a cute little lilt and smiling more at the child. "You're such a little cutie, yes you are! You're just a little doll, baby!" He was crooning, colorful fingers wriggling tenderly with a laugh.
"Oh, GOD, Andraste, you have to breed more. She is absolutely too cute for words." Lenachan358 Playing ball sounded like a nice idea to the otter. At least the two toddlers wouldn't have problems and finally he was in the center of attention again. Everybody else was o so busy with his new sister. " Yes, ball sounds nice. But I don't have one." Jacosa admitted and allowed his hands to play with his shirt for a moment, before he pointed at the toybox in the corner of the room. " O remember ? One should be inside." He smiled at the smaller ones and moved towards the box digging for a ball. Nila started to frown as the man's fingers came closer, but as she noticed that it weren't dangerous spiders she started to laugh and squeal. "Wohoo, usually she's quiet. Good job." Andraste smiled and glanced at Jacosa for a moment before turning back to Patrick. "Please, no talking about pregnancy again. I'm glad fishbaby is here and she's nice and doesn't have a strange fishtail." Kitara Kata Katrina blinked and stood where she was as she listened to Akilah blabber on, most of which went right past her head. Then Jacosa wandered over to the toy box. She took a step foreward, hugging her kitty plushie close. How did you play ball? "Baaaaallll?" Man, she was on a roll with these new words.
Kitara smiled as she watched Patrick and the small baby. She was content to simply watch, so she took a seat nearby and set down the diaper bag and other things she normally had to carry while taking Katrina somewhere. nozomi_ga_kanau Akilah would never be an easy one to understand - he was a hyper little thing and probably always would be. "Ball!" He affirmed cheerfully with a squeal towards Kitara, small brown tail wriggling much like a dog would. "One ball! Ball play with!"
Another nod and he was toddling after Jacosa in the clumsy, slightly stilted way of a toddler, small claws digging into the floor. "Cosa got ball?"
Patrick smiled when the baby responded to him, laughing and tickling gently at her chin. "No pregnancy for you? Mm..alright." His voice was slightly distracted as he played with the baby, a grin on his lips.
"She's quiet? Really? Hurrah~ I'm good with kids!"Lenachan358 Jacosa smiled at the girl as he pulled out a very colorful little ball. " Yes, ball. Like this one. We roll it and toss it and the other ones catch it." He grinned at Akilah, who was very hyper and offerd the ball to him. " Keela, you start." Quickly he moved over towards the puppy girl and waited for the meercat to throw the ball. "Yes, you are. I never doubted it when seing how you deal with Akilah." Andraste had a good day and finally smiled nicely. Nila giggled, but very suddenly she grabbed one of the large fingers and waved her hand around as if it was prey. She knew these things, mommy and daddy had them too. Kitara Kata Katrina blinked and stood where she was a few feet from the toybox and the meerkat. Large brown eyes then watched as Jacosa came back over towards her. For now she remained silent, wondering what was going to happen next.
The necromancer remained silent as well, her chin resting in her hands. A smile was on her face as she watched Patrick interact with the woman's baby. Something was deeply sad about the look on her face though, as could be seen in her eyes. They seemed to almost never get touched with her smiles. nozomi_ga_kanau Akilah would forever be hyper! He's a spazztic little furry rodent, after all. He squealed, happily, claws clamping over the ball. It wasn't as sturdy as his purple one at home, but it was a ball all the same!
His face twisted up before letting the ball fall to the ground. he'd seen his brother do this one - twice? - before and boy did it look fun! His leg reeled back and right when it connected with the ball, sending it rolling to the other two, the meerkat fell right on his a**.
And started a squallor.
Patrick grinned at Nila, finger shifting and wriggling just barely in the others grasp, tugging gently. Then he heard Akilah, looking up quickly with a frown. "Akilah?"
"F-Floor!" The meerkat bawled from his position on the floor. "Hurt Kella butt!"
"....." Lenachan358 Jacosa was about to talk to Katrina about the ballgame as he watched Akilah's strange actions. The ball was probably a bit too big for him to do something like this. But he kept quiet, because he didn't intend to hurt the friend by telling him to stop. Somehow it didn't work out right anyway as Keela landed on his butt. Quickly the otter moved towards the toddler and frowned. " Are you hurt ? Do you bleed ?" Andraste watched the scene before turning to Kitara. "Are you alright ? You seem quite sad to me." Nila wiggled and tried to regain the attention she had before. Kitara Kata The puppy's ears perked as the meerkat fell to the floor. Oh noes! Was he hurt? She waddled over, dragging her toy behind her. Looking from Akilah, to the otter, then to her mother she let out a whimpering sound. Brown eyes then went back to Akilah, unsure of what to do.
Kitara's head shot up at the meerkat's cry, though once she heard his explaination she couldn't help but giggle a little. Her chin rested back on her gloved palm, black cat ears twitching at Andraste's voice. "Hm?" She blinked, looking up at her. "... Oh. Heh, don't mind me." A nervous smile graced her prepubesent features as she tried to waves the woman's concern off. "I'm alright, really." Even though she didn't sound very convincing, she didn't seem to want anyone to be overly concerned about her. nozomi_ga_kanau "Floor..hurt..b-butt!" He wailed again, hiccuping and grabbing for his otter friend. Jacosa once more became a tree, Akilah using him to cling and pull himself up, small nose being pressed against the brown furr. "....no bleed."
Another pause, eyes going about and to the puppy. "Ball?"
Patrick rolled his eyes at Akilahs single-mindedness over the ball, glancing over to Andraste. "May I hold her?" He knew Yashima liked to be held..the quiet fox-boy often clutched and hid his face but he was happier when he was held. His tail was more relaxed.
Fingers went to tickle under Nilas chin. gootchi gootchie goo! Lenachan358 Jacosa seemed a bit insecure himself, but decided to pet Akilah's head. The otter was pretty confused as the meercat seemed to recover very quickly and demanded the ball. Shrugging slightly he offered the ball to the puppy. " Your turn. Roll the ball to Keela." Somehow he liked the role of the older one and grinned proudly that he had managed the situation once again. Was his mother looking ? No, she was busy with Nila. Gently she picked up the blue baby, who started to wriggle her feet at once. "Sure, go ahead, Patrick." Handing the infant to the man, Andraste grinned and turned to Kitara slightly worried. "Sure. But if there's ever anything, you know, as women do and so on..." She had never actually offered anyone much help, so she seemed a bit uncomfortable herself. Nila giggled loudly as she was tickled. Kitara Kata Ball? Oh, right. Katrina looked at the ball she was offered. The plushie in her arms was dropped to the ground and she leaned towards the ground. Setting it down, she gave it a push towards Akilah. Was that how ball was played?
The reaper smiled and nodded to Andraste, eager to change the subject. "Is she your first?" nozomi_ga_kanau Poor Jacosa! He'd have to get used to it, if he ever got an emotional girlfriend. The meerkat churred happily at the others petting, head leaning in and nibbling at his fingers. "Roll ball to Keela!" he repeated, nodding at the other furry boys and girls.
Once the ball came towards him - Akilah squealed, scampering over to the rolling thing and clamping his arms around it. He rolled with the sphere, giggling and chittering before pushing it back at Jacosa, ears perked and alert. "Roll ball, Cosa! Cosa roll roll!" Oh...energy...
Patrick smiled, scooping the little blue fishbaby from Andrastes hands. "Hey there, you adorable little squidhat." He grinned at her, one hand tickling at the girls stomach once more, quite skilled at tickling and holding a baby at the same time. "Sooo cute, yes you are!" [TBC]
