Mobius Amadeus Nightshade III, at your most humble service.
My most esteemed date of birth is the twenty-fifth of October; isn't it odd how the tennth month has the prefix for an eighth, not a tenth? Those Romans, I tell you...
My eye colour is a blessed mosaic of blue and silver; this is no lie. Those who gaze upon my eyes are often entranced, but it does not make me feel uncomfortable.
My hair is currently a short mass of chestnut, but I aspire to make it a fluffy mohawk of neon white someday; none of that wood-glue stiffness for me, thank you.
I am of relatively short stature, but that is due to a serious misalignment of my vertebrae; therefore I will not bother with my height until that is remedied.
My weight is somewhere around the 120lbs. mark, and I never get past five pounds over that; I have a remarkable metabolism to thank.
My skin is delightfully two-tone; the tops of my arms, my calves, my face, and my neck are tanned beautifully, while the rest of me is incredibly pale.
My blood has been tested for many conditions, and yet its type has yet to be revealed to me and to anyone close to me. Only my doctor knows for sure.
I predominantly speak Common (that's English for the D&D-deprived), but I know a smattering of French, a pinch of Spanish, and enough German to sing along with Rammstein lyrics on a 87% success rate or better, depending on the song. I also speak fragments of Japanese.
My current place of residence lies somewhere in Canada, in the province of Ontario. However, I plan to relocate to the United States of America as soon as possible, and intend to move to Spain with a loved one sometime in the future. Or possibly Japan... I'd love a little villa in Hokkaido somewhere...
My musical tastes cover almost everything, with the distinct exception of country music. No matter how bad a song is, it will be more tolerable than country unless it is country itself.
I have recently been cast aside from a long and intense relationship, and my heart is on the mend. Perhaps a nurse of the feminine persuasion wishes to take care of me? wink
As far as religion goes, I follow the doctrine of the LDS church, but have yet to join due to some personal issues. I also believe that human beings are nothing but imaginary beings, made real by the contrast life gives between dreams and nightmares; we are born of one but eventually subsume the other, and become whole beings in the process.
As far as my political views operate, I long for the system of government fantasy worlds operate on. Some regions having monarchies, matriarchies/patriarchies, senates, etc., while any region outside those regions are free territory, and jobs such as sellswords, bards, merchants, and the like are widespread. It was a simpler time, and a better time, in my opinion. With the exception of hygiene and technology... But that is an obvious point.

Hello all! I'm glad to be a part of this guild. Freak in my eyes, is a beautiful word. Everyone has a freak in them, I think. We tend to just suppress it, hide it, deny it even to ourselves. Really though, no one is "normal". For instance, define the word "normal". smile The following is a description of the freak in me: You may drop the "The" from my SN and simply call me "Gimps". Feel free to shorten it even further to "TG". I also have been known to answer to "Dude", "Bro", and "Hey you". Some common nicknames I had in high school (and to this day by some close friends) include: Leprechaun---because of my pointed chin, odd laugh, and strange red facial hair. It's strange because the hair on my head is dirty blond---, Gimps, Gimpy, Gimlet, Rolls, Rollie, Halfie, and many other variations of any of these. You'll find out the reason for those shortly. You can call me by any of the above. It's all fine by me. I'm fairly new to Gaia and have grown to love it over the past couple months. It's been a great life saver and a tool of even greater procrastination. I'm here for intelligent discussion, new friends, jigsaw puzzles and a myriad of other things I've discovered. BD: October 9, not quite two and a half decades ago. Height: Barely over 5 feet. Oh yeah, I'm short which was another reason for the Leprechaun nick. Weight: Uh, somewhere above 130ish. Pets: I'm a cat person, have owned 6, four of which are still alive and now in Cambridge, England where most of my family moved to. I one day wish to own a farm on which I'd not only have the usual cats, dogs, horses, and ordinary barn animals, but also creatures a bit on the odd side for pets: skunks, lemurs, ferrets etc. Food: I have a major sweet tooth for baked goods, as well as candy bars such as Twix, Snickers, and Cadbury. I enjoy nearly every type of ethnic food: Chinese, Italian, Greek, Hawaiian, good ol' American---needless to say I'm easy to please. My diverse interests are in part why some would consider me a freak: Music: I listen to quite a wide variety of stuff. My iPod contains songs ranging from Korn, NIN, Mudvayne, & Slipknot, to Regina Spektor, Dido, Avril Lavigne, & Vanessa Carlton. Greenday, The Offspring, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Muse, the Beatles, and Nirvana, to early Britney Spears, N'Sync, and yes, Backstreet Boys. I also listen to Tatu, Jack Johnson, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Tupac, Vivaldi, Black Eyed Peas, Goldfinger, Simon & Garfunkel, Flyleaf, Smashing Pumpkins, Skillet, Bob Marley, and a number of non-English speaking rock bands like Rammstein, Malice Mizer, Noir Desir and Molotov. I'm pretty much a music whore and can spend hours at a time downloading. I've only seen one band live in concert, and seen them twice: Evanescence. This does not include the opening bands however, one of which was Revelation Theory. Movies I've loved include the Saw series, A Walk to Remember, Hoodwinked, The Departed, Nightmare Before Christmas, The Dark Knight, most things involving: Quentin Tarintino, Pixar, James Bond, Robert Downey Jr. Jason Statham, Jaime Foxx, and Nicolas Cage. Books: The I consider myself an avid reader and a decent writer I have not read most of what are typically called the Classics. Currently my favorite authors are Irvine Welsh, Neil Gaiman, Anne Rice, Michael Chricton, and Stephen King. Jules Verne kicks major awesome booty. Hobbies: Writing, Rping, gaming, (I can't really call myself a gamer though I do seriously miss N64's Goldeneye, and wish I owned an Xbox 360 and a computer strong enough to play games on.) movies, reading, people watching, window shopping for all the pretty things I can't afford, being in the ocean whether it be swimming or surfing, exploring the supernatural, speculating the human mind, studying theology, and beliefs of all kinds. If I can be swayed from my own beliefs, I'll gladly admit it as I love to search for truth. Random out of place fact #3: I'm a kid at heart who loves blocks, toys, coloring, and oh yes, cartoons! Though this mostly only goes for 90's and prior cartoons. Religion & Politics: Another area I'd be considered a freak in is the fact that though I would most identify as a Conservative Christian, I am vigorously in favor of things such as euthanasia and gay marriage which don't seem wrong to me. I'm not inclined to tell people they might go to Hell, nor do I agree with most Christians who deem it okay to judge and discriminate against things they believe wrong. I swear, and drink my fair share. I'm perfectly comfortable in a church service as well as a club with whips & chains and techno-dancing acid-dropping friends of mine. I have none at the moment, though when I get the cash I want several tats and a few piercings. Career: I'm a student aiming for a double major in English & Psych, and a minor in World History. I've experienced working as a radio DJ for a heavy rock station, and in the near future plan to join the Peace Corps., followed by travel and teach kids in underdeveloped areas, and eventually become an English professor. Throughout all this I hope to write and publish the next great American novel. Although I've been working on it for over four years now, and at that pace a few other great American novels may come first! This novel of mine is incredibly messy for the time being. My imagination fires constantly in random directions. I've had several writing partners over the years, and I can't seem to stop adding to the plot. It's become a story of just about everything I can think of, from horror to romance to morals to faith to comedy todrama on an individual level as well as international, and basically a commentary on world culture and the human condition. I also have this crazy goal to create the most popular RP game of all time. Perhaps I'll post my writing here and take a crack at that RP, eh? Random out of place fact #4: I'm a self proclaimed insomniac, no idea whether a doctor would agree or not. Also I'm seriously afraid of heights, as well as being burried or cremated alive. Random out of place fact #5: I have a birth defect called Spina Bifida which has paralyzed me from the waist down. My upper body is extremely strong, so they say, while my legs are quite fragile and skinny. I have several scars from head to toe as a result of the SB, and currently have titanium rods fused to my spine as well as a plastic and metal pump beneath my skull. I've been declared dead on an operating table twice, both times under a year old. All of the above is why I'm a freak and damned proud of it.

Well, nice to meet you Vampy, Gimps, and SBF-Tacos. Seriously, this place is awesome. So many interesting people. Screw "normalcy" freakdom is so much more fun.
Anyways, Gimps, you said you like to read, so here's an author you might want to check out, Orson Scott Card. Ender's Game and the 7 books that follow it are DEFINITELY worth reading.

too damn lazy to type this out again, so I'll just paste what's on my profile:
Alright so first thing is first... My gaia name is Data Miner, I named my account after a Fallout 3 achievement, my actual name is told only to people that I REALLY like. I am a nineteen year old female, I have a daughter and a boyfriend. I live in North Carolina up on a mountain in a town of less then three thousand people. I have to watch all my favorite shows on the computer cause we don't have cable or whatever at my house. I don't have a lot of friends and I don't go out often, I like to sleep the morning away and stay up all night. I don't like crowds or touching raw meat.
My daughter is two years old, she has blond hair and blue eyes. Her name is not important, for those of you who really wish to know.. you may call her Sunshine. She drinks from a sippy cup or a straw, eats off the table, and always carries her favorite blanket with her. Her favorite shows are Spongebob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues, and The Backyardigans. She loves cheese and drumming on things, when she's not busy getting into trouble. Sunshine has already shown an interest in video games and often takes my DS or controller from me so she can play.
My boyfriend is twenty-one, is also blond haired and blue eyed, he's part german or something like that. I absolutely melt when he talks in his german accent. I'm ninety percent sure it's the sexiest thing he could ever do for me. He loves Stars Wars, House, and World War 2. He is the father of my child and a real a*****e when he wants to be. He says he's a nazi, he has the uniform and everything. I think it's funny cause he puts it on during Halloween and walks around town, oddly enough almost no one gets offended.
My family is rather large, which is great and everything until we all get together for a party or something. My mother and father are both on gaia, and I'm not afraid to admit to that. They are actually on my friends list and part of my wall of awesome. I'm the oldest sibling in my family, with a younger sister who just started middle school and a younger brother with a bad cause of ADHD. Almost everyone in my immediate family loves wrestling, and we often go up to my step mom's house to watch the pay-per-views with her.
I have several friends all over the world, but I only write to two of them. Two or three times a month I get letters from Finland and the Czech Republic. These are two of the best friends I could ask for, and if I ever get enough money saved up I plan on going to visit them one day. They are both girls, and every holiday/birthday we send each other a gift. I keep everything they send me, their folders are getting full though since I've been writing for a little over 6 years now.
I get bored really easily with my outfits and profiles. So I'm constantly changing them, usually I try to make things look nice, but there's sometimes I might be in a bad mood or just not care at all and come up with something that looks awful but I'll wear it anyway. Usually I have some sort of explanation for the avatar, but there are times when I'm just messing around on tektek or in my inventory and come up with something. I'm not very good with clutter, so usually things are kept simple with not a lot of accessories or backgrounds or anything like that.
I do have a photobucket account, I keep all the art people draw me in my journal, and I have accounts on several other sites if you feel like looking me up. I use my messengers a little TOO much, sometimes doing nothing but talking on them all day cause there's nothing better to do. A lot of times I'm playing games on facebook while I'm talking and usually thread hopping on gaia. Can be a little challenging if I get into too much at once but I still find it fun.
