((And it begins...

Tezi - Indigo
Aletea - dark red
Dracula - red
Mia - orange))

Quote:
Tezi browsed through the library. She had always hated quiet, so she wanted to get out of the place quickly.
"Now which book did Ariel reccomend again?" she wispered to herself, browsing the selfs.

Not able to remember the name, Tezi sat down and flipped through a magazine. She spotted one of the library computers.
"Yes!" she whispered again, and walked silently to the terminal.

Aletea frowned at the shelves, deciding that they were all far too disorganized. Or, well, organized in a manner she hadn't yet figured out. She was beginning to doubt the book she was looking for was here. And she couldn't seem to find a single person! It was rather disconcerting to be surrounded by all these books, and not a person in sight.

Then, she saw someone. Her face brightened as she strode forward, hoping the person may have a better idea of how to find things in here, and called a quiet greeting to the woman.

"Good evening."

Tezi looked up. She smiled slightly, for the lady had almost made her jump out of her seat.
"Hello ma'am. You wouldn't happen to know how books are organized here?" she asked.
She asumed she would be able to find this book in the horror section, but that section was no-where to be seen.
As soon as I see the cover, I will remember the name, she convinced herself.

Aletea gave a wry little chuckle at the question, her lips quirking up into an amused smile. "That's the same question I was about to ask you. I can't seem to figure it out..."

She knew the name of her book - she just couldn't find it.

"Is there any staff around here? I haven't seen a single soul asides from you, yet."

"Well," Tezi started reluctantly, "I thought I saw a guy pass by in the back earlier pushing a book cart, but when I tried to find him, he had dissapeared."
She grinned sheepishly, "But maybe it was my imagination."
This place is a mess, I'm beginning to wonder if this place is still open... she wondered to herself.
She'd find out later.
"Do you think there's a section for horror?" she asked, remembering that her book was a horror story.
Why does the city library have to be closed for renevations? she wondered.

The city's library was closed for renevations earlier that week, and when Tezi asked the librarian where a good place to go was, she said 'I think there's a library a few blocks down and to your right, but it might be closed now.'
Oh, it was open... just nobody was working there.

Voices.

Mia heard voices, which was odd..She was sure no one was there. Silently creeping towards the noise, the dark green journal in hand, the black-haired girl smiled to herself.

Of course, this was a library. She knew people were there. Well..it might have been a bit odd to just walk up to someone you don't know and say hi..

Sighing and clicking her tounge, peering from behind a shelf and shakign her head. "Um..hello?" She asked, a bit confused.

She stepped out, letting out a tiny squeak as she spotted people. Ah, there they were.

"I certainly hope there is! I doubt I could find any of Lovecrafts works anywhere except horror..." Aletea trailed off as she considered this. All of Lovecrafts works were horror - but could they be considered another genre? If this library didn't have a horror section, then that would be something she'd have to look into. Though she honestly couldn't think of any other genre it would fit into.

Then she shook her head, suddenly realizing something. "Oh, I haven't even introduced myself yet...I'm Aletea."

Extending her hand, the woman offered an apologetic grin.

"To tell you the truth..." Tezi said slowly, "I don't know the name or author of the book I'm looking for, but I'll remember it when I see it."
She thought Lovecraft was a great author, and smiled at Aletea. Tezi stuck her hand out and shook Aletea's.
"I'm Tezique," she said, then added, "But you can call me Tez or Tezi."
Tezi grinned appologetically, too.

Tezi looked up to see another woman. She quickly waved.
"Are you trying to find a book in this mess, too?" she asked, grinning.
She was beginning to think that they would never find ANYTHING in this terribly unorganized place.

Aletea looked over at the other woman, an expression of surprise crossing her face - she hadn't even noticed her! That would teach her to be observant...no wonder she couldn't find anything in the library. Swiftly, she shifted her face into a friendly smile, and added her own laughing opinion to Tezi's words.

"It seems like we're in dire need of an employee; imagine - a deserted library, three customers grouping together, and not an employee in sight. With the amount of noise we're making, I'd half expect an angry librarian to descend down on us!"

"Indeed.." Mia said bitterly. She paused, placing her arms behind her back and watching the other two. Tez and Aletea. From what she had heard, anyway.

One was looking for Lovecraft, something she had thought of looking for herself..But no, she had to get that little short story. Bah, stupid Violet.

"Have you seen anyone? I'm in a bit of a hurry.."

A pale hand slipped open a door from the back, as a tall figure emerged and adjusted his shirt collar. He looked as if he had just gotten in a fight with the mob... Or rather three very hungry young wives... Never the less, he was there now.. He had just been 'indesposed'.

Within seconds he was behind the group of wemon, a wry grin spread over his lips, before he rested a hand on the book shelf in front of them.
"Hello! My it seems my library is indeed lucky today, being blessed with the presence of such lovely ladies. May I be of assistance to you?" He nearly sang as he gazed over the three wemon, blue eyes flickering with delight. Oh yes, so many wemon surely had the intentions to rent many books.. This would surely indeed bring much entertainment.

Once again, Aletea was startled at the entrance of another person; she really needed to pay more attention. First she didn't notice that other woman (who she still hadn't learned the name of, now that she thought about it...), and now she didn't notice this new fellow. But then she brightened, as she realized he must be staff.

"Oh~do you know where I could find some of H.P. Lovecrafts works? I've been looking, but I haven't found any yet..."

She had a specific book in mind, but she'd be happy just to find the author; she could look for a specific one later.

Mia shrugged lightly, nodding the the woman who had first spoken. "You can show her, but maybe you could just point out the direction to the classics.." Well, that was probably where she would find it.

Running one hand through her hair, nodding, the young woman cleared her throat. "That's all I need." She said after another thought, rocking back and forth on her heels.

The man had a certain air that seemd out of place. "Does any one else work here? Maybe they could help me out.."

Tezi looked up to see the man.
"Hello, sorry to bother you, really, but where can I find the horror section?" she asked, "I'm looking for a book I can't recall the name of."
She quickly gave a nod to Aletea and the other girl.

[[ Speaking of, are our books ready yet? X3 Sorry about the short post. Just got home from school and I'm brain-dead. ]]

Dracula looked to the three wemon contently, listening to all their questions.
"Lovecraft can be found in isle 13. I have no workers for my Library, it is just me and my three wives.. Who are currently indesposed. And Horror Section? My dear, this library is nothing but a giant horror section. I wouldn't carry anything else in my beloved library." He said with a grin, before eyeing the last one over.

"I'm sure I can help you find all of your books in minutes, if you would like... I'm rather skilled at finding people what they need." Okay, so maybe he wasn't mentioning the phyco mind powers that vampires possessed.. He didn't care to. All he cared about was getting these three young girls three very possesed books.

Tezi suddenly remembered the name of the book.
"The Secret!" she blurted, then covered her mouth embarassed.
"Sorry," she grinned, "Can you help me find the book called The Secret? I can't recall the author's name... But I'm sure you have it."
She grinned again, remembering to be quiet in a library.
So this man is the only employee? Tezi wondered, staring at the man, He's kinda weird looking... Err, scary.
She shuddered lightly, but not so that anyone would notice.

A pleased grin crossed Aleteas face, and she chirped out a thanks as she made her way over to aisle 13. After browsing for a few minutes, she finally picked one out. A friend of hers had recommended that she read it - though really, you couldn't recommend just one of Lovecrafts mythos works; they all fit together. So, Nyarlathotep in hand, she headed back over to the group.

"Will I need a library card to get this?" This ddin't seem like a typcial library, but she wanted to be sure...

"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." Mia said, placing her arms behind her head. It was a famous story, she was sure it would be in a collection orin a seperate book..Somewhere.

The woman shuffled in her spot, silently swearing. So, something seemed just...odd. An entire library of horror? Bah.

Dracula's eyes went between the three wemon agian as they stated their requests. He seemed especially used to dealing with several wemon's demands at a time.
"Ah yes, just wait at the desk and I will get you registered with my library." He said with a smirk to the first woman, before looking to the other two.
"Sleepy Hollow is in the first Isle amungst the classics... And I think you'll find something you'll like amung the video section.. Towards the back of the library behind my desk." He said, before idly pointing a thin hand towards the back of the library.

"If you need me to pick out the titles myself, I am more then able to." He finished.

Hunh. You'd get them for me?" Mia asked, looking surprised. "Ah, nevermind. I'll look.."She stated, before the man could reply. Trotting off in the direction she was told, she stopped and turned quickly.

Glancing down at the titles, clicking her tounge again, she sighed. "Irving.." She mumbled, blinking and snatching up a fairly thin book and giggling to herself, hugging it to her chest.

"Ah-ha. Stupid sisters." She chirped, eyeing the book, still giggling.

"Right..Library card..Not that I'll be coming back.." Mia murmured, tearing her eyes from the cover and retracing her steps.

Aletea moved over to wait by the library desk, eyeing her book with interest. It was a thin tome, but she knew Lovecraft could be a difficult read, even when short. He had a beautiful way of writing, but it took a long time to work through some of his books. Her eyes bright, she couldn't wait to get home and start reading.

Glancing over to where the others were, she waited patiently.

Tezi shuffled over to the front counter holding the video tightly.
It took long enough... she thought, sighing.
She glanced down at the tape. Edward Scissorhands. So what if Ariel suggest The Secret? This looked way better. Anyways, this was a video, and Tezi was in the mood for watching a movie. She was supprised this library had a video section...

The man had now somehow made his way quite swiftly to his desk. Sitting with one leg crossed over the other and fingers interlaced on his chest. After the three females came up he leened forward, and reached inside his top desk drawer. Within a few seconds he withdrew his hand. Three cards placed between four fingers.

He held them out with a too amused grin, as if he had just been told a very good joke, even baring his fangs.
"Here you go ladies, I do hope you... enjoy your selections." He finished. Upon taking the cards, the three would of found the cards where already completely filled out with their information.. Along with a few questionable catagories. But before they could of had time to think on the matter, the man piped up agian.
"Feel free to return at your leisure. And if you do and I am not present at the moment, just ask for Dracula. And I will be out shortly."

Last night was certainly strange. That library...what kind of library keeps only horror? I wasn't really thinking about how weird it was then, or how strange the librarian is -(Dracula? Three wives?)- he sounds like a nutcase...but I wasn't thinking anything of the sort when he was actually sharing that information. It unnerves me a bit.

Well, onto my book! I checked out Nyarlathotep (and the checking out was another strange thing, because...well, he pulled out cards for us, without having to make them. And with information he shouldn't have known), and I definintly enjoyed it! Difficult to read at times because of how verbose Lovecraft is, it was still a good story. I'll need to take it back sometime, but I'll probobly read it a few times before I do that...something about it peaks my interest more then usual, and I don't really get why.

Though, well, Aurelia (my Sin'aeis daughter) doesn't seem to like it. She starts whining whenever I first opened it up to read it, and refuses to even come near me when I'm holding it. How strange...she's learned to talk some, but she won't say anything about it. She just clams up.

Hm...well, I guess this just tells me she's not going to be a horror fan!

[[ Hallo ^_^ WRITER'S BLOCK IS EVIL. ]]

Tezi knocked on the door to Aletea's house softly.

"Oh, will she hear that?" she asked herself.

She had found Aletea's address from the strange library, and that was what Tezi wanted to talk about.

Since she had watched Edward Scissorhands last night, she felt... different. There was no way to explain, but she just did.

And she wondered if Aletea had finished reading that Nya... Nya... Nya whatever book yet, and felt the same thing.

It was an odd thing to do, but the tape also felt as if it had a pressence.

Tezi knocked on the door again, a bit harder this time.

((Heh, yep.))

As Aletea headed over to the door, she was musing over last night. That book...normally Lovecraft was strange, but something about it felt [off to her. And Lia, her daughter, refused to go anywhere near it. Something was up there.

Opening the door, she had to pause in surprise as she noted who it was. "Ah...Tezi, right? Can I help you?"

The woman had seemed nice, but normally people who were almost complete strangers didn't pop up out of nowhere...something had to be going on.

((I have to head out now - but go ahead and respond, I'll just post when I get back.))

Tezi nodded, "Sorry to bother you like this."

She took a deep breath.

"Can I talk to you about that library?" she asked.

[[ URRRRRGH. WRITER'S. BLOCK. Sorry if there's not much to write off, if you need more, I'll try and write s'more. ]]
PostPosted: Wed Dec 14, 2005 7:03 pm

((That's fine, I can build off of it ^.^))

For a moment, Aletea had to pause and think. The library? Well...that eerily fit into her prior thoughts. Odd timing. But then, she quickly shook her head and offered a smile, before ushering Tezi in. After inviting her to sit down, she then mulled over something before she spoke again.

"The library, huh? Funny you should mention that...I'm kind of - well, there's something strange. I don't quite get what, though."

"The book you checked out, right? Nyar-whatever?" Tezi infered, "Something strange about it?"

She revealed the tape she had checked out previously from a large coat pocket.

"There's something about this tape... too," she said, adding the 'too'.

Now that she thought about it, Noah had been shying away whenever the tape was in his presence.

But he was odd, anyways.

All the tape part was on the right side of the tape. She had forgotten to rewind it. She also wondered if it had been recorded then put on this tape, because the label looked very un-professional.

There was a small scratch on the plastic glass on the left, but it looked as if it had come from the inside.

Why didn't I go to a video-rental place? she wondered.
"I'm really sorry I bothered you, but I just have this funny feeling something is going to happen," Tezi said, staring down at the tape.

"And it will involve this library."

[[ I think the block is finally going away, YAY! ]]
PostPosted: Wed Dec 14, 2005 8:35 pm

((Yay!))

Aletea chewed on her lip, thinking this over. "Yes, there's...something different about the book. I've read the authors other stuff before, but something about this book feels different."

"And, well, I was thinking..." she paused here, still finding this one a bit difficult to figure out, "...how did this - 'Dracula' - guy know our names? He just pulled those cards right out of his desk, but he had just met us. And I hadn't even given him my name!"

Giving a puzzled sigh, she finished, "Honestly, I don't really know what to think. With his comments about 'three wives', and then calling himself Dracula, I'd peg him as a nutjob. But - the information? How could he have known all of that?"

Tezi

Tezi nodded, thinking each word through slowly. 'Dracula', as he claimed to be, seemed just like as if he were from the book...

"I've never really told anybody my address, and I didn't even know there was a library there before now," she added.

Then she remembered seeing his teeth.

They were sharp, pointed. Maybe he had gotten replacements?

"Oh yeah!" she suddenly said, "Did you see his teeth?"

But there was something about them...

Did Tezi see a red tint, or stain, to them?
PostPosted: Thu Dec 15, 2005 7:44 pm

Aletea leaned against the back of the couch, a frown crossing her face. Teeth? Well, she hadn't really been paying attention to that...honestly, the man had seemed so charming at the time, that she wouldn't have noticed anything neccesarily unnatractive. And as she paused to think on this further, the woman began to feel unnerved.

Why hadn't she been paying attention?

She crossed her arms, then spoke again. "I wasn't paying much attention, honestly, but...I think there's a bit more to this guy then what he seemed," biting her lip, she finished, "...something's going to happen. There are too many strange little things about this, for something to not happen."

Tezi

Tezi looked down and nodded silently.

This Dracula guy...? Could he be Dracula, like for-real?

She quickly shook the thought away.

"I'm hoping nothing bad happens," she said, and rubbed fore-head, "Or even better; nothing happens."

And did he really have three wives? No.

That was just crazy.

Tezi put the tape back in her pocket.

There was another scratching noise... it sounded kind of like scissors.

She had been hearing it all last night.

"Oh, I forgot to ask," she said, "Have you been hearing or seeing anything odd?"

Maybe Dracula's teeth were fake.

Because, as everybody knows, vampires aren't real.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 17, 2005 1:38 pm

"Honestly, I've just had this...unnerved feeling all day, though that could just be due to my dreams last night."

Those dreams had been strange. Very strange, and Aletea was perfectly happy to attribute them to reading that book right before bed. It was an eery enough story, she should hav known better then to read it right before. Other then that, there had been no strange sounds or anything...well, unless Lia's reaction was counted.

"The only other thing that's been strange, has been Lia - Aurelia, my daughter - refusing to come near that book I got. Normally she's a little devil, getting into any and everything; but she won't come near it, and she starts to whine if I even bring it out in her presence."

Lia wasn't a human child, so she was inclined to believe that there might be something the little girl was catching that she wasn't.

Tezi looked at Aletea and around the house. She had been distracted, but came back to the conversation as soon as Aletea mentioned her daughter. Tezi remembered Noah. He was at home alone (other than Hakariu, the dragon), and she had to hurry.

"Yeah, my son Noah has been shying away, too," she explained, "He's 6-years-old and gets into EVERYTHING. So I don't understand why he won't go near this tape or anything."

"Then again, he isn't normal."

She straighted her bag and looked at Aletea again.

"Listen," Tezi said, pushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear, "I have to go and take care of Noah right now. Sorry I couldn't stay for long!"

She took a piece of paper and a pen out of her black messenger-bag and scribled something on it.

A phone number. She handed it to Aletea and smiled.

"Call me later and we can talk more about this," Tezi said, waving and walking back to her car.

It seems morning is visiting yet another morning glory today. Accept this time there where no disturbances. Maybe you woke up early? Maybe you woke up around noon? Heck maybe you slept in till late in the afternoon, ether way. There was a big surprise awaiting to greet you in the kitchen. And it looked like it was perfectly fine waiting until you found him in his hiding place.

The book you had read last night has disappeared, no where to be found. No matter how hard you look you just can't find it, and you probably never will. Afterwards you became frustrated perhaps? Ether way you found yourself wondering into the kitchen, probably to get a drink. Over the carpets and threw the doorways, pass the couch and kitchen table, and the little kid sitting in a high chair idly playing with some baby food in his grasp. You pass all these and head strait to the fridge, opening the door to peer inside.

As you fish around past the milk and orange juice, something dons on you.. There's a kid sitting in a high chair by your table?! Slamming the door and turning around, you see that your eyes weren't deceiving you. Staring right back at you with a chubby lipped grin sits a toddler no darker than tan, grinning contently.. He seems to kind of fit a description.. One in that book you borrowed that you can't seem to find..

Uh oh...

Yesterday, I had a very strange surprise waiting for me in the kitchen. I almost thought I was still dreaming, because...well, I have some strange kids, but none have ever come from books. You see, I seem to have lost my book that I checked out from that strange library a little while ago...

And then, this morning while searching for it, I found a baby in my kitchen.

One who looked remarkably like the description of the Pharoh form of Nyarlathotep. Well, excepting that he's a baby.

I suppose I'm fairly calm about this because of other strange occurences concerning my children...but I need to speak with that 'Dracula' fellow, get the truth on what's going on. Is that child really Nyarlathotep?

Oh, and I need to call Tezi as well. If this happened with my book...maybe it happened with her movie?
