 Elil sighed when she saw the bunt up krabby, Smokes only making a smoke ring. When Kimberly returned her pokemon Elil did the same, letting the fire pokemon back in his ball. " No, it is not. By the end of the year, not even that, around half way through the year you will be able to beat me. Your Klaus just needs to get a bit stronger," she tried to reassure. " And I like that kind of ambition," she added lightheartedly, laughing a bit. As the teacher tried to lighten the mood after the student lost her Dewgong started to make it's rather silly looking way over to the battle area. Once there he laid on his side and slapped his chest with one of his flippers. (it really is just sure a joy to watch animals do this) " Dewgong!" the pokemon then called before rolling back on his stomach. " So, do you want to try again, or not?" Elil asked, looking past her pokemon as he did such silly things. He would often do things like that, so this was nothing special.

Retrieving a second Poke Ball, she opened it and in a flash of red light, a little Magnemite appeared. It emitted a soft humming sound as it levitated in front of her. Magnus turned to look at Kim. Since it had neither gender nor expression, it was quite hard to understand such a Pokemon.
"Morning, Magnus! Ready for a little exercise?" Magnus didn't react to Kim's greeting. It was quite apparent that it was quite new to the team and had yet to really warm up to her. Kim sighed and said, "Oh well, let's do our best anyway... Ready when you are, Ms. Lendri!"

" Let's get right on the water," Elil told her dewgong. There was a difference from 'on' the water, and 'in' the water. They knew that. At the order the dewgong shot an Aurora Beam at the water, but didn't freeze all of it. The sudden temperature change caused the waters and ice to make loud noises as parts of the ice creaked with the heat of the water making parts of the ice expand. Still, the sea lion pokemon hopped right onto the ice the broke as he jumped on it. When the ice broke it did not send him into the water, something that would be a large mistake when fighting an electric type, rather it sent the ice he was on to start floating around the pool. After the battle Elil had quite the mess to clean up; lava at the bottom of the pool, ice at the top. Good thing she didn't really do any harm out of the pool, too! Well, not yet. " We're ready," Elil announced. She had a plan for the battle, granted it was a very risky plan; but wheres the fun if there's no risk!? Kimberly would need all the help she could get in this battle. This would be the easiest pokemon for her to beat, any way. A pokemon in a pool with what could be used as a 'toaster' should be easy enough. (( XD I just realized that this should of been some where else. There's a thread for battles. Silly me! ))

Magnus, Spark!" shouted Kim. The little Magnemite didn't do anything for a second... But suddenly, its body started to glow and arcs of electricity jumped all over its metal body. Magnus suddenly charged at the Dewgong with such speed, aiming to tackle it with an electrically-charged slam.

Elil watched as Magnus started his move. She was about to call what she would normally do, but decided against it. Instead, she'd only do the last part of her plan of what she would normally order. " Seal, use Headbutt only to attack, but before use Safeguard," Elil told her pokemon. Right after the order Seal used the Safeguard, the move covering his skin with soft velvet like fur. Then the dewgong then waited as the magnemite came close. When it's electric tackle came close enough he jumped up to try and hit the littler pokemon with the small horn on the top of his head. However, if the move hit he would take quite a bit of pain from the move, but would not let any paralyze happen with the safeguard. (( Yes, the Dewgong's name is Seal. Deal with it, please. (It's not that bad. Some one else's pokemon is named Boner. >_> *snickers to self because I'm immature and a bit of a perv*)))

((Pfft, I've heard worse names before... xd )) <>Klaus (Krabby) / Megan (Combusken) / Magnus (Magnemite) / Jackie (Farfetch'd)Magnus's hit connected but so did Seal. The little Magnemite was tossed some distance back... but it seemed unfazed by the attack. Suddenly, an idea struck Kim... She seemed much more determined now... The redhead shouted, "Magnus, Supersonic!" This time, Magnus didn't hesitate. It quickly took aim and started vibrating in mid-air... An array of odd sound waves began to radiate from its body, towards Seal. The waves would disorient the Dewgong, should they connect.

The shock from the electric attack had caused from of the fine fur to fry off of the Dewgong. It also apparently bothered his head a little, for after the attack he shook his head. Safeguard did not protect Seal from confusion, sadly. " Avoid the move with dive, then come back and land on the ice," Elil ordered. She wasn't very worried, even though Seal really was one of the worst on her team to be affected by being confused. In all honestly, Elil didn't like any pokemon to get confused. It's a very humiliating way to lose a battle. Seal quickly dived under the water from the ice as the Supersonic hit the ice, blocking the noise. It saved him from being confused, but put him in an even worse position for being hit with an electric attack. Seal moved quickly under the water until he could see the Magnemite, then he started to swim up and try and hit the floating pokemon before landing on the ice. Once on the ice he shook himself to get as much water off as he could; like a dog.

<>Klaus (Krabby) / Megan (Combusken) / Magnus (Magnemite) / Jackie (Farfetch'd)Magnus managed to keep just out of Seal's reach but Kim looked a little tense, seeing how easily the Dewgong could dodge Magnus' attacks. "Magnus, try a Thunder Wave!" yelled Kim. Magnus hesitated yet again but soon complied. Static electricity formed on its little metallic body and all of a sudden, arcs of electricity shot out towards the Dewgong, to try and immobilize it.

Elil was a bit surprised to hear Kimberly yell. She didn't say any thing, though, knowing that sometimes she'd yell too when losing. Still, it wasn't a very good choice to use Thunder Wave; the move had no effect when something was using Safeguard. She'd have to teach that. Seal let him self be hit be the move, the fine furs coming off when hit. " I'm sorry to remind this, but when a pokemon is using Safeguard, moves like Thunder Wave have no affect," Elil reminded while she thought of what move to use next. Encore would just be adding insult to her last move. So many other moves would not really let the other pokemon attack while they were used. Finally, Elil decided. " Refresh your Safeguard, then use Aqua Jet," she told the pokemon. The dewgong obeyed, putting on another layer of the felt-like cover over his light skin. It always seemed that when ever he didn't use Safeguard he would get scars, not that they were very see able on his pale skin. It seemed all of Elil's pokemon had some scars, all but the dragonair who was much to vein to let herself. Once the felt covered his body the dewgong covered himself with water before charging at the pokemon.

<>Klaus (Krabby) / Megan (Combusken) / Magnus (Magnemite) / Jackie (Farfetch'd)"Oh no, I forgot about the Safeguard!" moaned Kim in despair. She now looked rather deterred. She had completely forgotten that the Dewgong's Safeguard was still up and had ordered the Thunder Wave recklessly. Meanwhile, Magnus took the full blow of the Aqua Jet and let out an odd buzzing noise. The move, although not too effective, did indeed take a toll on the Magnemite. "Magnus, hit 'em with Thundershock!" Magnus finally seemed to be less hesitant... It was as if it had just realized that it was in a battle. The Magnemite quickly charged up and released powerful arcs of electricity towards the Dewgong.

Elil nearly laughed when things suddenly seemed more.. exciting. Right after the Aqua Jet Seal did not have time to get back on the ice before the Thundershock hit the water. Before one could realize what was going to happen the pool lite up, shocking anything in it or too close. Then, just as fast as it lite up it stopped. " So cool!" Elil exclaimed at the water. Exciting! She then watched to see if her dewgong would come back up, and what would he be like once up; fainted, or ready to fight some more. From the water did come Seal as he tried to get on his little ice island. The felt over his skin gone almost every where and black every where else. The dewgong panted with his tail still in the water; not enough energy to bring it out. Had the move been any stronger then what had been used he would of most likely been fainted. " Simply amazing. Seal, use rest," Elil told the pokemon. He didn't really have enough energy to use Safeguard again. The pokemon pulled up his tail beside him then put it's head down to sleep. " So, do you want to go on this round or move to the next? I'd say you won this time, even," the teacher asked. Sure, her pokemon didn't faint, but it came very, very close to.

She looked a little stunned at first that Ms. Lendri declared her the winner for that round. "...O-Oh! Um yeah, let's move on to the next..." Finally grinning, she said, "Good job, Magnus!" When the Magnemite levitated over to her, Kim proceeded to hug it but the static electricity gave her a little shock and she withdrew her arms quickly and yelped, "Ouch!" Smiling sheepishly, she returned Magnus to its Poke Ball.
Kim then pulled out her third Poke Ball and released a Farfetch'd. "Morning, Jackie! Up for a battle?" Jackie nodded obediently, holding his leek in one hand, watching Ms. Lendri and Seal cautiously. From the way it acted, it was quite obvious that the Farfetch'd was quite different from the rest of Kim's team... He seemed somewhat more disciplined, somehow...

When Kimberly agreed to move on Elil nodded and returned the resting pokemon. Had this been out side things might of ended differently, bot she felt - or hoped- Kim knew that. Her interaction with her pokemon after winning was amusing, She hoped the win bad them closer, even if by a little. Winning made pokemon like you more, losing makes them like you less. Very simply, for who likes being bossed around by a loser all the time? At the Farfetch'd she looked back at the pokemon carefully. She was having a hard time choosing who to battle it. Both her Primeape and Exeggutor had type weaknesses, but what if Kim's Torchic was put into battle and she just used the Exeggutor? If the torchic had evolved then that would put at in a disadvantage against the psychic/grass type. She sighed and got out both pokeballs. " Do you wish for Jackie to fight a Primeape? Or an Exeggutor?" Elil asked, showing both balls. She'd let the girls chose simply to make it that much easier. The only reason she could recall Jackie's name so soon was because it was used so recently.

Turning to her Farfetch'd, she asked, "Jackie, which one would you want to fight?" Jackie wandered over to Ms. Lendri and looked at the two Poke Balls carefully... After some time, Jackie pointed at the Poke Ball containing the Exeggutor. "Far...Far-fetch'd..." Unlike most Farfetch'd, Jackie seemed to have a really serious personality. "That one?" said Kim. "Well okay, whichever that Pokemon is. I'm okay with either one."
