In the anime, he is a guy, but from what I've heard in the manga he is neither because he's truely forgotten what he originally looked like.

Envy's a guy. I thught he was a girl at first too! I did him in a roleplay and I put him as a 'slender woman with wild hair'. XD But he is a guy.

does it really matter? Envy can form shifts so he can be anyone. so i believe ppl have a right to believe if envy is a girl nor a dude.

It's not. It's male. He's not both despite the shape changing. He was BORN male. end of story.

maybe to you, but however ppl got the rights to believe what they want. So if you wanna believe Envy's a guy, fine. if other ppl wants to believe envy is female, fine. if they believe that Envy is both, that is fine too. there is no right or wrong answer in my opinion.

I'm not as worked up as you think. So please don't tell me to chill. I just hate when people argue over something that is given fact. If you check my other posts before this I explain where. You have to highlight the posts. I havent' come out and directly said how it's found out because it ties in to a major spoiler for the end of the series.
