Aimi slightly recognized the figure in the distance. Although the girl, she assumed, wasn't far at all, it took time for her to figure out who it was. Slowly, memories came tumbling into her mind, leaving her mouth slightly hanging. Tears of happiness welled up in her eyes. That is, until she also recalled the pain Nami had given when she left. Aimi could say life around the house was much more peaceful than when Nami resided with them. She could say life wasn't as stressful as it was when Nami stayed. Aimi could also say, above all the pain that had been casted, a mother loves her daughter.

Hisoka stared at the girl, it taking him minutes to realize it was his daughter, of all people. His eyes didn't warm up, but they didn't cool down, either. It was hard to tell if he'd done anything; if he'd do anything anytime soon. For now, he'd wait to see what she does. Nami averted her gaze from her parents. Of course, no welcome. But then again, it's not like showing up was so uncommon, just showing up and then hiding was. She took a step forward, practically equaling to a leap of faith at this moment. "... Hello...?" She said it in an almost bratty tone. Suddenly being there just pissed her off.

Stepping aside, her arms gestured into the house; an action of welcoming. A small smile payed on her lips as she spoke, "Welcome back." For some reason, Aimi was dabbing some salt on her wound. She knew for a fact, Nami was not here to stay at the very least.

Hisoka only glanced back at hearing Aimi's voice, becoming annoyed when he saw that she was so... forgiving, he though was the right word. Nami had done so much to his life, she ruined it! She ruined everything; had Aimi forgotten that fact? This would've been the part in a movie where the person whom was welcomed back would've run up and hugged their family. That was not the case here. Everything was extremely tense and awkward; two things that when combined put a hole in one of your lungs, making it impossible to breathe correctly- - if at all. Nami gave her mother an unsure expression, though it didn't sink through very deeply. She wasn't too far from the house, so she considered this a nice enough distance. Yet somehow she'd like to be closer and incredibly far away at the same time. "So, how're you?" Her eyes darted around, looking at everything except her parents. Her eyes lingered on a window at the corner of the house. The window to the room she'd called her own when she lived there.

Aimi's smile lingered no longer. She clutched onto a nearby coat rack, squeezing it. Had Hisoka and her been bad parents to Nami? Had the trust, love, relationship between the three really vanish into nothing? The answer to both were yes. Why else would Nami run off?
Attempting to hide her betrayed and ashamed expressions, Aimi nodded for no reason at all. Really only to acknowledge the fact Nami could, would and is talking to the both of them. A look of longing was placed on Aimi's face.
There were so many things Aimi felt at once. Betrayed, ashamed, longing, happiness, joyfilled. Although most of these things were her and Hisoka's fault, the real fact was: The Akira name was and is disgraced, dirtied, looked down on because of Nami's disappearance. Rather, Aimi couldn't get a job at the village for some didn't want her there so Aimi had to get money through other means...
The tone Aimi used was no longer filled with warmth and love, "We were fine." It wasn't a lie. They were fine, before Nami left. Although with Nami back... the reputation of the Akira family might just brighten.
[[Mmm, this is starting to get good. Ideas are starting to flutter in my mind]]

'And we were fine... until this happened.' Hisoka thought bitterly. Why had she come back? Did she need something of them that she hadn't already taken? Heaven knows that she took it all with her when she left. But now, here she stood before him. Even refusing to come into their house! What use was it to come back and disgrace them even further? Nami nodded, excusing the fact that she used the word were. Past-tense. She then smiled as she remembered things about the Akatsuki. Her only true home thus far. "I've been..." She decided against using the word 'great,' "I've been ok." She looked back into her mother's eyes, looking over her father.

Sadness washed over Aimi. It seemed Nami was better than ever. It seemed she didn't need them. It seemed Nami didn't want to be back. Aimi stepped back, calling out, "Please do come in." Staring into a mirror, Aimi fixed whatever flaws were there. Her expression, out of placed hairs, a settled wrinkle in her kimono by her elbow. Her little job could wait, as of right now, Aimi wanted to look beautiful for her daughter.

Nami scratched the back of her neck whilst taking a few steps forward towards the house. She couldn't reject the offer twice; once was already bad enough. She looked to her father now once she was only but a few steps away.
Hisoka didn't spare Nami another glance. He just turned his head, looking at the door frame. Now that Aimi had stepped back, that gave him enough room to walk away. He leaned against the wall farthest from where Nami would be entering, yet still in the same room. He seemed to be looking down, but ever so slightly he was watching his wife and the door out of th corner of his eye; however, his eyes stayed lowered.
Nami's eyes lingered down to the two or three steps that allowed entry into the house possible. If he was going to act the same, yet completely different, then fine. Maybe he had the right to. But she had rights too. Carefully, she walked a step and a half into the small building, if it could be called that. She'd continue on once she felt comfortable, if that would even be allowed in such a scenario.

The atmosphere was stiff, awkward and, if you beg, tense. It was uncomfortable for the whole lot, Aimi included. Her gaze was back onto Nami, looking at her daughter of almost twenty. [or is she? I forget and we just had this convo about her age. x___x] She had grown much, taller than Aimi by much. She certainly had taken after Hisoka when it came to height for Aimi was only a little over five feet.
Aimi's shoulders tensed as she looked at the rest of Nami. A few scars here and there. Something she thought her little angel should never have, but there it was. Staring at Aimi in the face, almost critizing the raising of Nami Akira. She looked away, the guilt finally starting to eat away at her.

[[ She'll be 19 whenever tomorrow comes in this roleplay. xD So yes, almost twenty~ ... Nami's still short, though... Probably not much taller than Aimi. > o > Or maybe just everyone in the Akatsuki can be way taller than that? ... o .0 W/e.]]
Nami was able to pick up enough of her mother's thoughts, enough to have something to go on. Her eyes softened ever so slightly. "It's fine. You've done much better than some." Her eyes flickered over to her father for a brief second. She then blinked, keeping her eyes closed for much longer than needed. "I've had a few help me on the way as well, so I... I guess I turned out well enough. Save for a few things..." Save for a few lost lives, lost souls... Some other things here and there.... ah, well. She looked down, staring at the finely polished wooden floors. ... Ok, not so finely polished, but it would do.

[[I'm making her uber short. She might no even be 5`1. Maybe somewhere inbetween 5 and 5`1. xD Well, everyone in the Akatsuki seems to be real tall. *o*]]
Aimi brushed the hair out of her eyes, almost sighing with relief. With a quick glance around the house, she realized none of them had eaten yet. Nami's visit interrupted her time to rush to the marketplace and back. Probably and hopefully, Aimi could conjure something up in the small kitchen. With a small bow, Aimi slid away from Hisoka and Nami mumbling about preparing a meal.

[[I'm like... 5 ft and a 1/2 of another inch. >O SO SHORT. Not even funny... :c ]]
Nami watched and listened as her mother left the room, probably gliding into the kitchen and dining area. So, that would leave her with her father, correct? ... Maybe she should follow her mother. Instead, though, she just walked over to the doorway her mother had left out of and peered into the room. "You seem to be running away by using the excuse of food..." She said, still no more than just a hand in the room as her mother; the one that was idly holding the door frame.

[[Woah~ I can't really laugh 'bout it. I'm what 5`4.5? xD I'm short compared to my friends]]
A faint blush appeared on Aimi's face. Luckily, her back was to Nami as she scavenged through the semi-filled fridge. Aimi, although her face was hot, shivered from the coolness of the fridge. Brushing off Nami's question, she asked her own question, "Anything you want specifically for our meal?"
It wasn't often Aimi had cooked for Nami, most things she sent her off with was store bought. Lately, since they hadn't enough money to be buying meals out, Aimi had to learn out to cook their meals.

[[ Gah... More people that are taller than me. > >;; ]]
Nami shook her head, then realized that her mother couldn't see the gesture. "Uh, no thank you. Just... cook what you see fit." She gave a small smile; a sad one. "Tomorrow... are you aware?" Her eyes ventured down to the floor yet again. "I'll be 19." She wondered whom she would celebrate with. Her parents for some odd reason, or the few people she had grown attached to at the base.

[[Hehehe, if it helps my sisters are 5`1 and they're 15 and 17]]
Aimi nodded and cotinued with her scavenging until Nami's other sentence. 'Nineteen years, huh?' Aimi's thoughts weren't bitter nor joyfilled. No one in the house ever mentioned what the day was, the only day related to Nami that was spoken of was the day she left. Often Aimi was followed by whispers on the dreaded day. She rarely went out on the day and only if nessascary. "Would you like to celebrate?" Aimi's voice wasn't filled with affection and she didn't have the motherly look on her face. If only she wasn't so lust filled at the age of 20, then perhaps the person before her would be someone Aimi could truly be proud of.
Settling for Sukiyaki and Miso, Aimi began bringing out pieces of meat, vegetables such as mushroom, tofu and konyaku noodles/ shiraktaki. Her mind wondered as she brought out the miso soup stuffies and eggs for the sukiyaki. The meal today was much more grander than what Hisoka or her shared. Simple meals but most of the time, it didn't seem like they were married at all.
